Academic project
Experimental investigation of velocity distribution over the curved surface due to jet
impingement.
It is observed that velocity at the surface is zero due to the viscous force of the air
molecules towards the surface, which gradually increases along radial distance and
gradual decrease of velocity for further radial distance. this is because; as the wall jet
comes in contact with atmospheric air loses its momentum with the atmospheric air. It is
found that velocity is maximum at the point of impingement and decrease gradually
along the circumferential locations.

Air Distribution System
Air Terminal
Ceiling mounted diffusers were
selected for supply air terminals
Grills were selected for return
air terminals.
Duct design
Duct sizing done based on equal
friction method
Volume control damper were
introduced at each branch for
balancing air
Fire dampers were placed at wall opening
Critical Path of Pressure Drop
Pressure drop report exported in HTML format
From critical path, static pressure and flow rate were
found.
This static pressure is used in selecting fan for AHUs.
