After the great success of our debut
album Beginning the Epic, we planned to
release our next album, Spirit of Fusion with more
energy and vibe. The genre of the album is
Raga-Rock Fusion (Instrumental).
In this album, we experimented with the
songs beyond limitations, we tried to blend Indian
Classical Music with EDM in the song Bhairavi
Ecstasy, there is a perfect juxtaposition of
symphony and orchestration with heavy
rock ballad in the song Morphine, the
song Malhar isornamented with Indian Instrumental Ensemble
on raga "Miyan KiMalhar". Moreover, we
rearranged the spiritual chants of India,
like Aigiri Nandini, Kaal Bhairava, with more zeal
and dynamics.
Available at all leading musical stores & also in 150+ online platforms

A basic idea in Indian philosophy is that one should not be burdened with one’s own thoughts.Adbhutam carried this basic idea into his album “Spirit of Fusion”. These three Indian men do not think that their genre and music is a fusion genre – they just drive on and it is fantastic. The alum itself comes with references, stories and melody. With calm solos, Adbhutam takes you by the hand and leads both you and our writer : Carl vs. Nirvana. (Translated)
– Ravenrocksite.dk(“Spirit of Fusion” album review)
On their second record Spirit of fusion, Kolkata fusion band Adbhutam keeps Indian Classical music as a launch pad for proggy, high-energy rock. Songs like “Aigiri Nandini” are safe bets but “Died In dreams” seems a bit meandering. Guitarist Somak Sinha’s fretplay on “Bhairavi Ecstasy” is worthy, with its tinge of EDM, while the band – completed by bassist Suman Mitra and Drummer Sapta Rishi – gels best on the serpentine melodies of “Somewhere in Clouds” and the string-led “Morphine”, but even these sometimes feel like they become more indulgent than they should. Quick paced fusion tracks like “Ravana” are more likely where Adbhutam’s strength lie.
