As you may be aware our venerated Shri Ram Niwas Mirdha passed away on 29 January 2010. He had been at the helm of affairs in several areas like politics, social work, education, arts, sports etc. endowed with a multifaceted personality Shri Mirdha remained, till he lived, a much sought after person both by official and non official organisations working in political, arts and social spheres. Shri Mirdha remained President of the Surajmal Memorial Education Society from 1991 till his death. In fact, he was not only the guiding spirit but also its very breath. The Society, with a wish to pay tribute to his memory, has decided to publish a Volume, reflective of his personality, in commemoration of the departed leader. You are known to have been closely associated with Shri Mirdha. We, therefore, take the privilege of requesting you to give expression to your feelings for Shri Mirdha and share the same with a wider community. While you would draw some satisfaction from such an act it will benefit the readers and would thus serve as a tribute to the departed soul. We hope and trust that you would join this pious and humble endeavour of our Society. Shri Mirdha was born on 24 August 1924 in village Kuchera of Nagaur district of Rajasthan. We wish to release the Volume at an impressive function to be organized on 24 August 2010, the next Birth Anniversary of late Shri Mirdha. You are requested to send in your article to the undersigned by 31 May 2010. The article can be either in English or in Hindi, concerning any aspect of Shri Mirdha’s personality or in the form of personal reminiscences as you may decide.
