Investiture Ceremonies
The Investiture Ceremony of Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram was held on 16 May 2018.
The event commenced with a phenomenal performance by the school orchestra, which created a
lively atmosphere.
Shri V.K. Shunglu, Chairman of the DPS Society and DPS R.K.Puram Managing Committee was the
Chief Guest for the Investiture Ceremonies at the Junior Schools and the Senior School
The students of class V were invested with appointees badges alongwith a cultural programme.

1. The much awaited Scholar Badge Ceremony of Class XII (Sections A-C, E and N-T) was hosted
by DPS R.K. Puram on 1 August 2018 for the academic year 2018-19, where students are recognized

2. The Annual Scholar Badge Ceremony was hosted by Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram for Class XII
(Sections D, F-I, L-N, U-X) on 7 August 2018 for the academic year 2018-19, where students are
recognised for academic and co-curricular excellence.The Chief Guest for this ceremony was Mr.
Anurag Tripathi, Secretary of CBSE and Chief Administrative Officer of the Board
3. The Scholar Badge Ceremony of Class X (Sections A-N) was held on 8 August, 2018. The ceremony
is a much awaited event for the school as several deserving students, both in the fields of academics
and co-curricular activities are felicitated on stage.The Chief Guest for the event, Mr Javier
Menendez, Education Attachè, Embassy of Spain in India, was welcomed by the Principal, Ms Vanita
Sehgal and the Vice Principal, Ms Anita Singh.
4. The Scholar Badge Ceremony for Class IX (Sections A-O) on 24 August 2018. The Chief Guest was
Dr. Rajendra Sharma, a widely reputed Medical Practitioner in the field of Physical Medicine and
Rehabilitation, currently working as the Medical Superintendent in Safdarjung Hospital.
5.The Scholar Badge Ceremony for Class VIII on 12 October 2018. The Chief Guest was Dr. Pooja

7. The Scholar Badge Ceremony for Class VII on 28 November 2018. The Chief Guest was Dr.
Harvinder Singh Chhabra, the Chief of Spine Service and Medical Director at Indian Spinal Injuries
Centre and his wife , Dr. Maninder Kaur Chhabra.
The students of class IV and V were given certificates, prizes and scholar badge for outstanding

Annual Day
Annual Production 2018-Amidst sparkling lights and a myriad of hues, The Annual Production of
Delhi Public School R K Puram took place on 14 and 15 December 2018, wherein the timeless classic
– ‘The Sound of Music’ was brought to life on the stage with live singing, spectacular acting in front
of the 3 D background.
CLASS ANNUAL DAYS
In both the Junior Schools , Vasant Vihar and East of Kailash, Classes Nursery to V showcased the
talent of the children through extraordinary Class Annual Days.100% students participation.
Nursery – 8th March 2019 on the theme “THE WORLD IS OUR PLAYGROUND” of Nursery school was
held on 8th of March 2019. The students were given their Graduation Certificates.
PREP – 15th September 2018 on the theme “BLOSSOMS”. As the name suggests the children
represented flowers, their beauty, colour, significance and emotions in our lives along with songs.
Narrators were the magical butterflies who wandered around them telling their tales.
Class I – 27th September 2018 on the theme “FRIENDSHIP”. Different facets of friendship like sharing,
fun time, little tiffs, bonding etc .were taken up by the six sections.
Class 2 – 13th October 2018 on the theme Sur Taal - The rhythmic melodies through the ages.

Class 3 - 3rd November 2018 on the theme Ubuntu... I am because we are... spreading the universal
message of love and harmony among all beings.
Class 4 – 1st December 2018 “The Wacky World of Wonderful Kids” The students of class IV created
their own virtual VV E 7.1 F.M. – Kids’ F M Radio channel and the young and whacky Radio Jockeys
gave the listeners a different level of audio experience.
Class 5 – 15th December 2018 “Jashn-e-Mausam” Celebrating seasons! Students of Class V
celebrated seasons by depicting all five seasons through their enthralling dance performances. Each
season was represented using seasonal colours.
Sports Day
DPS R.K. Puram organized the Sports Day on 27 December 2018 with great ardour. The Chief Guest of
this grandiose event was Mr. V.K. Shunglu, Chairman of DPS Society and DPS R.K.Puram Managing
Committee, accompanied by a special guest, his son, Mr. Sanjay Shunglu.
Matches were played in Cricket, Basketball, Football and Dodgeball to encourage 100% participation
in sports. Races and Relays also took place.

CARNIVAL
Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram hosted its Annual Winter Carnival on 29 November 2018. It is the
most anticipated event of the year. Clad in casuals, the students ensured a harmony between
glutting on mouth-watering treats at the various food stalls as well as showing their talent in various
fields.Winter Carnival was also celebrated at DPS Vasant Vihar.

1. Echoes Naad-Ninaad 2018, the Annual Inter School Performing Arts Competition organized by
the Performing Arts Society of Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram was held on 5 May 2018.
2. Digex, the Photography and Film-making Club of Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram organised
the Digex Photography Festival on 12 May 2018, to exhibit their passion for photography through a
multitude of events.
3. The 2nd Inter School Entrepreneurship Fest- Enship 2018, organised by Delhi Public School, R.K.
Puram,was held on 14 July, 2018
4. Delhi Public School, R. K. Puram hosted Infinitus Reus 2018 – an Annual Interschool One-day
Quizzing Festival hosted by the school’s Quizzing Club, on 21 July 2018.

5. The Debate Society of Delhi Public School, R.K Puram hosted its 2nd Annual Inter-School Debate
Competition, “Aarohan – Ascent of Young Minds” from 2- 3 August 2018. The event was divided into
two halves – the English Debate on the 2 Aug and the Hindi Debate on the 3Aug. The event
endeavored to give students an opportunity to showcase their strong declamatory skills and their
ability to have logical and rational discussions.
6. Theatron, the Annual Inter School Theatre Fest, was organised by the Expressions Theatre
Club of Delhi Public School, R.K.Puram on 25 August 2018
7. The Automobile Club of Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram organized a workshop, titled
‘AUTOCLUB 2018’ for all the students of Classes 9-12 on the 12 and 15 October 2018
8. The 23rd Annual Inter-School IT Symposium ‘EXUN 2018’ was hosted by Exun Clan, the

DEPARTMENTS EVENTS
Delhi Public School, RK Puram hosted its Annual Inter-School Science Festival, ‘Scientia est Potentia’,
on 28 April 2018.A total of 24 schools across Delhi NCR, actively participated in this five hour long
event.
Every student from class I to V showed an experiment and participated in a science quiz.
1. Delhi Public School, R K Puram and Bio-Rad, an US based Life Sciences Company launched a
fun filled learning program-“Bio-Rad’s Science Ambassador Program” on August 8,2018. Biology
students of Class XII attended this program.
2. Delhi Public School R.K.Puram hosted the 17th Annual Dhruv Rajgarhia Memorial Inter School
Debate on 10 August, 2018. The event saw active participation of 15 schools from all over Delhi,
NCR.
3. The Psychology and Sociology Club of Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram organized the
Inter-School Psych-Socio fest, Mosaic: Patterns of Life 2018 on 28 July 2018.
4. Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram organized the Annual Inter-School Language Festival – ‘भाषा संगम ’ on 11 August 2018. This event aimed to provide students with a better understanding of
various cultures and instill a sense of pride in their own. The number of schools participating in the
event were: 13 in German, 15 in Sanskrit, 18 in Hindi and 9 in Spanish. The event comprised 8
events, 2 for each language
5. A Teachers Training Programme ‘BLISS’ (Biotechnology Labs in Senior Secondary Schools) was
held at Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram on 28 August,2018. Second batch of 30 teachers from the
States of Assam, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura and Mizoram attended the same along with Officials
from the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology

6. India Fest ‘18 was organised by the Social Science Department of Delhi Public School, R.K.
Puram on 29 September 2018, with an aim to realise Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of a nation
distinguished by its plurality, diversity and tolerance by showcasing talent from across Delhi and NCR
7. The Commerce Department of Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram organised its Annual
Inter-School Commerce Festival ‘ComAstitva – 2018’ on 6 October, 2018. Students from 24 schools
took part in the event, making it a great feat
8. AAKRITI- AN ART FESTIVAL: ‘Creativity is a wild mind and a disciplined eye.’ To encourage
and inspire the budding Picasso’s of DPS VV, an Art Exhibition was organised on 6th October 2018.
9. Biology Quiz ‘BioQUIZitive’ was organised by the students of AIIMS, Ms Lajja Patel, Mr Aditya
Singh and Mr Abdur in the AVH on 12 October,2018 for Class XII Biology students. The quiz was based
on Class XII syllabus

10. The Annual Dr. Prem Kirpal Memorial Inter School Art and Poetry Competitions – ‘Art Poetica’
was hosted by DPS RK Puram on 17 November 2018, in loving memory of the former Chairman of DPS
Society, Dr. P.N. Kirpal.
11. The Annual Inter-School Mathematics Fest THE MATHEMATICAL CRUSADE 2018 was hosted by
Delhi Public School, RK Puram on 8 December 2018.
12. ‘SCIENCE UNPLUGGED’ – a science exhibition was organized on 22ndDecember 2018 in DPS
Vasant Vihar for students of classes I to V. Our young scientists who love to explore, proudly
explained their experiments.

CBSE EVENTS
The Semi-Finals and Finals of the National level ‘CBSE Heritage India Quiz 2019 ‘ were held at Delhi
Public School, R.K.Puram on 1 February 2019. The CBSE Heritage India Quiz is one of the programmes
promoted by the CBSE with an aim to create awareness among students about the rich heritage and
cultural diversity of our country.

CELEBRATION OF SPECIAL DAYS
1. Junior Schools celebrated festivals and important days through special assemblies like
Republic Day, Gandhi Jayanti, Janamashtmi, Diwali etc.
2. The 72nd Independence Day was celebrated by the students and staff members of DPS RK
Puram with full patriotic fervour on 15 August, 2018. The enthusiastic students displayed their talent
and passion for the country through a wide range of activities and competitions judged by the
esteemed alumni and teachers.

3. On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, 2 October 2018, DPS RK Puram organized a cultural
programme to commemorate the birth of the Father of the Nation.The staff and the students
cleaned the school area as a part of the scheduled Cleanliness Drive. The unparalleled zeal and
enthusiasm of the participants was instrumental in helping to realise the dream of Mahatma Gandhi.

6. A total of 35 students from Class VII were invited by the Ministry of Women and Child
Development, Government of India, to celebrate the National Girl Child Day on 24 January , 2019 at
Pravasi Bharti Kendra, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi.Students along with two teachers witnessed the
celebration, which started with the felicitation of performing states and districts for their initiatives
and achievements made under the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padao’ scheme by the Union Cabinet Minister,
Mrs. Maneka Gandhi.
7. DPS RK Puram celebrated UN day on 25 October 2018. An exhibition was put up by the
students of Classes IX and X on the topics- Formation of UN, Organs and Agencies of UN, Role of UN
and UN and India’s relations. The exhibition was visited by students of different classes.

1. DPS R.K. Puram was invited to attend the First Conference on Environmental and Occupational
Determinants of Cancer: Interventions for Primary Prevention, an initiative of NCI-INDIA, AIIMS,
at Jawaharlal Nehru Auditorium, AIIMS on 26 and 27 May 2018.
2. Join the greens’, an IGL Initiative to foster awareness on environment care among students
through interactive programs was hosted by Delhi Public School, RK Puram on August 6, 2018
. Indraprastha Gas Limited or IGL is a name synonymous with cleaner fuels
3. In the Junior Schools,Earth Day activities, Create out of waste , Posters and Slogan Writing,
Swacchh Bharat Campaign, Workshop to create awareness were organised

4. In order to make the generations to come, more sensitive and concerned about their
environment and to reinforce positive attitude and values towards preserving it, CBSE
proposed to plant trees and ‘Prakriti Mahotsav’ ‘तरवे नमः ’ was celebrated on August 16, 2018.
5. DPS, RK Puram carried out a Tree Plantation Drive outside the school premises on Saturday, 8
September 2018, to support Delhi Government’s initiative of mass plantation to reduce air
pollution. The Principal, Ms Vanita Sehgal and teachers actively participated by planting
saplings of native plant species of Delhi like Jamun, Amaltaas ,Neem, Mulberry, Gulmohar
etc.
6. USIEF is organized a Panel Discussion on “Air Quality and Children: a new generation at risk”
on Children’s Day, that is 14th November, 2018 at USIEF from 3 to 5 pm to create awareness
amongst school teachers to educate students on the hazards of air pollution and reducing its
impact at school and at home in which Ms Niva Chhonkar , HOD Biology & Ms Rupa Das,HOD

AWARENESS CREATION ACTIVITIES
1. As a part of MHRD’s ‘Ek Bharat Shresth Bharat’ Programme, the partner states allotted to
Delhi were Sikkim and Assam. DPS R K Puram celebrated Sikkim Week (November 27-
December 1, 2017) and Assam Week (May 07- May11, 2018) to showcase the special features of
these states

(FSSAI) lead a massive mobilization drive through the largest ever Pan India Cycle Rally – the
‘Swasth Bharat Yatra’ bringing alive Mahatma Gandhi’s dream of a healthier India on
Gandhiji’s 150th Birth Anniversary
3. Air Pollution is a serious health issue. Keeping this in mind ‘Harit Diwali- Swasth Diwali’
Campaign was carried out in the Junior Schools of DPS at Vasant Vihar and East of Kailash and
Senior School at RK.Puram to sensitize the students to minimize the bursting of Fire crackers
and suggest alternatives to celebrate ‘Green Diwali’. Special message on Air pollution, issues
related to firecrackers and how to reduce Air pollution were discussed in the Assembly on
November 1,2018
4. As per the DOE circular, an Earthquake Mock Drill was conducted for the whole school on 27
November 2018 and fire fighting training was also given
5. SNF@School Inter School Safe and Nutritious Food Festival in collaboration with FSSAI was
organised on 8 December 2018 with an aim to encourage all attendees to partake in eating

lifestyle disorders.
6. Students of Class VIII, went for a visit to the Traffic Training Park at Punjabi Bagh, on 15
January 2019.
7. Air Pollution Survey of Delhi: Analysis by DPS R.K.Puram
DPS RK Puram took up a research project to study the changing weather conditions and its relation
with environmental pollution in Delhi, the brainchild of the Chairman DPS Society, Mr V.K.Shunglu
and supported by the Principal, Ms Vanita Sehgal The main aim was to study the factors
responsible for the change in the weather conditions in Delhi & to identify the year of this
change emphasizing on the effect of the winds on the increase of pollution.

In the Junior schools the following activities were organised
HEALTH AND HYGIENE: “Handwash Day” awareness was brought about by various activities: talk by
doctors, making a booklet “FOAM IN… FOAM OUT”, highlighting the diseases, their causes, causative
organisms and preventive measures, demonstration by the school doctor on correct technique of
washing hands. Swatchhta Abhiyan is an integral part of school system which teaches hygienic living
and also dignity of labour and Shramdan.
Nutrition Mission: Our school has been a forerunner in implementing activities related to food
safety, nutrition and health hygiene as part of SNF@School – A Project by FSSAI. Some of the
activities carried out throughout the year were cooking without fire, red and green day in their
tiffins, intra-class poster making competition on Eat Right, cleanliness drive and reading the labels
of food items – expiry and manufacturing date, red and green dots. The Wall Art work done by the
students shows a FOOD BANK advocating the message ‘do not waste food, save food and thus save
food resources.’
Festivities with a difference: The school believes in minimizing the pollution and carried out ‘Say
No to Crackers’ Campaign. Teachers and students made ladoos in school and celebrated by
savouring delicious coconut laddoos, Toran making for their parents, Rangoli for the houses … The
feeling of doing more for the disadvantaged specially more on festival days brought about a bus load
ful of shared toys , clothes, eats , blankets… Festivals of all religions and regions are celebrated,
with winter carnival, Food and cultural fest of different states of India.

1. A Guest Speaker Programme was organized for the students of class VI on 11 April 2018 and
18 April 2018. Dr. Deepak Gaur, Associate Professor at the Department of Biotechnology,
Jawaharlal Nehru University, spoke to the students about ‘Health and Nutrition’.
2. A Guest speaker programme was arranged for students of Class VIII (Sections A-F) during their
Art Education periods, on 24 April 2018.Dr. Ankit Goyal, Associate Professor, Safdarjung
Hospital was the Speaker
3. A Guest Speaker Programme was organized for the students of Class VII on Thursday, 26 April
2018. Dr. K.B. Shankar, Professor of Neurosurgery at the Safdarjung Hospital, addressed the
students and spoke about ‘Teens’ obsession with technology.’
4. An Interactive session was organized for Class XII students on 18 May, 2018. Dr Amita Sehgal,
Professor, Department of Neuroscience at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University
of Pennsylvania was the Speaker. Her topic was Circadian Rhythms.
5. Guest Lecture was organized for Class XI students on 18 May, 2018. Dr. H.K. Chopra, Chief
Cardiologist, Moolchand Medicity, National President, Cardiological Society of India, was the
speaker. The topic was ‘Lifestyle and Health: Ancient Wisdom & Modern Science’.
6. A Guest Speaker Programme was organised for the students of Class VII on Friday, 27 July
2018. Dr. Shweta Mathur Lall, a Dentist at the Apollo Hospital, Noida, addressed the students
on the topic `Hygiene Consciousness – Body and Mind`.

7. A GSP for Class IX was organised in the AVH on 31 August 2018. Prof. Queeny Pradhan, who
teaches Modern Indian History at IP University, was invited to deliver a talk on ‘The Russian
Revolution’.
8. On 4 October 2018, Dr. Shourya Shankar Roy Burman was invited as the Guest Speaker in the
Senior Biology Lab for Class XI and XII Biotechnology students. Dr. Burman, alumnus DPS
R.K.Puram , graduated from IIT-Kanpur, did his Ph.D from the famous John Hopkins Hospital,
Baltimore, USA and is now pursuing Post-Doc from Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA
9. Ms. Pooja Saxena , Disaster Risk Reduction Coordinator, Institution of Disaster Emergency and
Accidents for guidance on School Safety and Security, addressed some stakeholders of
Disaster Management, on Wednesday,31 October , 2018 at 10:30 am
10.A Guest Speaker Programme was organized for the Think Lab students of Classes VI to VIII on
Friday, 25 January 2019. Dr. Aditya Mittal, a Professor of Biology, IIT Delhi, was the keynote
speaker.
11.On January 30,2019, H.E Hussain Bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Education Minister of UAE.the
Ambassador along with his delegation visited DPS R.K.Puram

1. In January, 2018, a team from Delhi Public School, R K Puram had won the Asian Regional Space
Settlement Design Competition. Due to their exceptional performance, a team of 12 members
comprising of Ananya Ashta, Bhavya Khandelwal, Kushagra Gupta, Mehek Manish Shah, Natasha
Arya, Shiv Sethi, Shrijita Anand, Udit Malik,Vinamr Loomba Sachdeva, Gunjan Anand, Aditya
Vikram Singh and Tarun Patra, was invited by Ms Anita Gale, Co- founder, Space Settlement
Design Competition, to represent Asia at the International Space Settlement Design
Competition. It was held at NASA’s Kennedy Space Centre, Florida, USA, between 27 – 31 Jul ,
2018.
2. R.K.Puram received the Appreciation Award by FSSAI (Food Safety Standards Authority of India)
at the National Level for being the ‘Best Performer in the Adoption of SNF@School Program’
amongst 7000 schools.
3. Students from Delhi Public School, R.K.Puram qualified in NTSE Stage 1 from Delhi out of 166
students in the current academic session, the highest among all schools of Delhi.
4. The Principal of Delhi Public School R. K. Puram, Ms. Vanita Sehgal, was awarded
the Stree Gaurav Award 2018 as a ‘Woman Educationist’.The National Gaurav Award is organized

1. Inter-School IT Competition – Hash 2018 was held at DLDAV Public School, Shalimar
Bagh on 27th April 2018. Exun Clan bagged the Overall Trophy
2. Modern School, Barakhamba Road organised an Inter-school Hindi Literary competition titled
‘Hindi Parv’ on 24 April 2018. Shaila Vijay (Class VII) , Sehaj Garg and Sunidhi Gupta (Class X)
along with Madhav Krishan Sareen and Nishant Nanda (Class XI) of DPS, RK Puram bagged the
third prize in the ‘Vigyaapan Prastutikaran’.
3. National level – Senior Category and Junior Category debate was held on 23 April , 2018 at
the India International Centre.Maanya Sareen ( Class 9) won the Second Position in the Senior
category ( Classes 9-12 ) for the debate entitled ‘India can never be corruption free’ for the
motion.Veer Malhotra ( Class 9) won the Third Position in the Senior category ( Classes 9-12)
for the debate entitled ‘India can never be corruption free’ against the motion.Muskaan
Saxena (Class 8) won First position in the Junior Category ( Classes 6-8) for ‘Indian education
system will lead to loss of cultural identity’.
4. Sanskrit Academy awarded Sanskrit scholarship of Rs.500/-each for the year 2017-18 to the
meritorious students of present Class XI on 25 April 2018. The students who won the

5. An Inter DPS Language Festival was held at DPS Bulandsahar on 28 April 2018. Deepita Singh

6. Inter-School IT Competition – Amity Cyberbuzz 2018 was held at Amity International School
Sector 43, Gurugram on 1st May 2018. Exun Clan bagged the Overall Trophy

“Technoxian Championship’18”, an International Robotics League and World Robotics
Championship organised by Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India in

10.DPS Dwarka hosted the DPS Society Indian Music Festival on 20 July 2018. A total of 25 schools
took part in the singing competition. DPS RK Puram bagged the 2nd position
11.Inter-School IT Competition – Byte.IT 2018 was organised by Bal Bharti Public School,
Pitampura on 24th July, 2018. Exun Clan of DPS RKPuram emerged as Overall Winners in the

12.In Interschool Hindi “Hasya Kavita Paath” and “Sansmaran Prastuti” Contest was held at
Mount Carmel School, Anand Niketan, New Delhi on 24 July 2018.Muskaan Saxena of Class VIII
was awarded the 1st Prize in ‘Hasya Kavita Paath’ and Pranati Guliyani of Class IX got the 3rd
prize in ‘Sansmaran Prastuti.’DPS RK Puram won the overall “Rolling Trophy” for the same.
13.Inter-School IT Competition – AlphaNode 2018 was held at Delhi Public School, Gurgaon,
Sector 45 on 27th July 2018. Exun the computer club of DPS RKPuram emerged as Overall
Winners
14.An Inter School Debate and Quiz Competition, Quizebate, was held at Modern School, Vasant
Vihar on 19 July 2018. Nandini Parashar of XI D bagged the Best Speaker Award (Trophy and a
Certificate). Participation certificates were given to Abhishek Aggarwal (XI D) and Madhav
Krishan Sareen (XI-N).
15.Technothlon, an Annual International School Championship for Classes 9 to 12, was organized
by the student fraternity of IIT Guwahati. It consists of Prelims and Mains. Prelims is a written
exam based on which teams are selected for the Mains held at IIT Guwahati. Prizes are given
to the top three teams in the various events. Grand prize is a guided trip to NASA and the 2nd
prize is a trip to ISRP.
16.Students of DPS, RK Puram, Anant Lunia and Naman Mansukhani (Class X), won Technothlon
2018 at IIT,Guwahati. They scored first rank in the event and were awarded the grand prize
to visit NASA, USA
17.Vasant Valley School , Vasant Kunj organised the annual ‘ AAJ TAK HINDI VAD-VIVAAD
PRATIYOGITA ‘ ( Hindi Debate ) on 2 and 3 August , 2018 . Madhav Krishan Sareen 11N ,
Nishant Nanda 11T and Sehaj Garg 10M, participated and came second in the prestigious
debate.
18.On 2 August 2018 , the first round of the debate was organised in which 20 schools divided in
five groups of four participated , with the top 2 teams from each group qualifying for the
next round . DPS RK Puram came first in their group and thus, qualified to the next round.
Nishant Nanda was adjudged the ‘ Best Speaker ‘ on the first day in his group
19.Sanskriti School hosted its first Digital-Multimedia Event, Exposure, on 10 August 2018. The
competition gave students a platform to showcase their photography, movie making and
ad-making skills and also organized a surprise event for the same.DPS RK Puram did not only
win prizes in individual events but were also the Overall Winners
20.An Annual Inter-School Environment Festival ‘Vasundhara – Celebrating the Colours of the
Earth’ was organised at DPS Vasant Kunj on 10 August 2018 in which 26 schools participated.
In Whiz Quiz,Shikhar Sarangi and Abdullah Siddiqui of Class X won the Third Prize.In the
Off-site Event, Video Making, Aanya Soni of Class XI won the Second Prize. In the Photography
Competition,Mehak Puri and Sanjana Mehrotra of Class XII (Senior Category) while Advay
Dhingra and Pulkit Gupta (Junior Category) won the Third Prize.

21.Nrityanjali’18, an Inter-DPS Dance Festival, under the aegis of Delhi Public School Society,
was hosted by DPS Gurgaon on 11 August 2018 at Zonal level. DPS RK Puram won the 2nd
Runners up position
22.UNICEF along with CSR BOX curated a discussion forum on Nutrition during 5th Annual India
CSR Summit 2018 on September 25,2018 at JW Marriot, Aerocity to showcase FSSAI’s ‘Safe &
Nutritious Food @ School Project’ under the Eat Right Movement.Since DPS R K Puram has
been a forerunner in this project the students were invited as Speakers to highlight the
activities and share their experiences under SNF@School Programme.
23.The students of Expressions Theatre Club of Delhi Public School, RK Puram secured 1st
position at an Inter School Festival – AVIRAL 2018 organised by Darbari Lal Dav Model School,
Shalimar Bagh on 27 April 2018
24.The students of Expression Theatre Club of Delhi Public School, RK Puram bagged the 3rd
Prize at an Inter -School Annual Theatre Competition – STAGE KRAFT organised by Sanskriti
School, Chanakyapuri on 12 May 2018
25.A debate was held at Father Agnel School on 16 August, 2018.Maanya Sareen (9 J) won the
trophy for the Best Speaker in the ‘Save Ganga ‘ Debate. The team comprising of Maanya
Sareen (9J) and Tarini Kapoor (10 H) won the overall Third position in the event.
26.The students of Expression Theatre Club of Delhi Public School, RK Puram notched the top by
securing 1st Position at an Inter -School Festival – ‘LITERATI FEST 2018 ‘ organised by Amity
International School, Gurgaon on 18 August 2018
27.The students of Expressions Theatre Club of Delhi Public School, RK Puram participated in
‘Mind Quest’ – an Inter-School event organized by Father Agnel School, Gautam Nagar on 20
August 2018. The team participated in the Street Play Competition and secured the 3rd
Position.
28.On the 24 August 2018, Ascensus, the Music Society of Father Agnel School, Gautam Nagar
organised a Music Festival “ALARICO” on Rock, Jazz and Blues. A total of 13 schools from
Delhi NCR took part in the competition. DPS RK Puram bagged First position in the Group Song
Category
29.Inter-School IT Competition “Modem 2018” was held at Modern School, Vasant
Vihar on Friday, 24th August 2018 . Exun Clan bagged the Overall Winners trophy.
30.Students of Robotics activity at Delhi Public School, R.K.Puram participated in the Robotics
Competition held as part of “Kailash Confluence 2018”, the Annual Inter School Symposium
organised by DAV Public School, Kailash Hills, New Delhi on Thursday, 30 August 2018
31.Inter-School IT Competition “Code Wars 2018” was held on 30th-31st August 2018 at Delhi
Public School, Vasant Kunj. Exun Clan bagged the Overall Winners Trophy
32.9 students of DPS RK Puram got full marks (100/100) in Hindi in Class X Board Examinations
conducted by CBSE this year. These 09 students along with their respective teachers were
felicitated by “Hindi Vikas Sanathan” in a Valedictory function that was organised at Teen
Murti Bhavan on 13 September 2018 on the eve of Hindi Divas.
33.Nearly 300 students of DPS RK Puram took part in the ‘National Hindi Olympiad 2018’
organised by Hindi Vikas Sanathan in the last week of August 2018. The Valedictory function
took place at Teen Murti Bhavan on 13 September 2018.The students of DPS RK Puram were
awarded for showing exemplary performance at National level.
34.An Interschool Elocution and Painting Competition was organised at FICCI , New Delhi on 20
September, 2018. The topic was “ Youth Against Counterfeiting and Smuggling”.
35.Muhammad Hibah Ihsan of Class IX-E participated in the Painting Competition and was
awarded the Third position. The award was given at a formal ceremony held on 1 November,
2018.
36.The students of Expression Theatre Club of Delhi Public School, RK Puram participated in
‘AADYA’ – an Inter-District Competition celebrating the achievements of women in different

39.Inter School IT Competition “Force Fest 2018” was held at Apeejay School, Sheikh Sarai on
the 30th-31st October 2018. Exun Clan bagged the Overall Runners-up
40.DPS Faridabad hosted the Inter DPS Western Music Festival on 13 October 2018 in which 38
schools competed against each other. The competition had two categories- Solo and Group.
DPS RK Puram bagged the 1st position in the Solo Singing Category.
41.The students of Expressions Theatre Club of Delhi Public School, RK Puram participated in ‘E-
Comm Parv’ – an Inter School Competition held at DPS Gurugram, Sector 45, on 4 August
2018. The team participated in Ad Act event titled ‘Tell To Sell’ and bagged the 3rd position

‘Humanitas’ on 25 October 2018 which was organized by Cambridge School , Mayur VIhar.RK

43.Wartex 4.0- An annual I.T event of S.R.D.A.V Public School, Dayanand Nagar was held on 26
October 2018. Tanish Goel of 11 Q bagged the Second Position in the Online Photography
Competition.
44.Inter School IT Event Alphabit 2018 was held on the 2nd of November at Amity International
School, Saket. Exun Clan bagged the Overall Winners Trophy
45.Inter-School IT Event Interface 2018 was held on 2nd November at St. Xavier Sr. Sec. School.
Exun Clan bagged the Overall Winners Trophy. 46.Pearl Academy, a prestigious designing school invited more than 20 schools on 2 November
2018, to participate in the event ‘Creative Pearl-It’s time to let your creative juices
flow’. From creating a magazine cover to creating an outfit using recycled materials, Pearl
academy provided the students of Classes X1 and X11 an experience of contemporary and
traditional forms of art.
47.Inter-School IT Silico Battles v14.1 was held on 15th and 16th November 2018 at Ahlcon Public
School, Mayur Vihar. Exun Clan bagged the Overall Winners trophy.
48.Inter-School IT Event nCrypt 2018 was held on 16th November at Delhi Public School, Sushant

51.Two students of Class VII participated in the Prof. M.V. Nadkarni Memorial Inter School
Competition, Pictspiration, at Mother’s International School, New Delhi, on 2 November 2018.
The team comprised of Ananya Srivastava (VII-F) and Nethra Lawania (VII-F). They had to
click a photograph, then compose a poem based on the photograph and recite it. Ananya
Srivastava secured 2nd position in the competition.
52.The DPS society organized Annual Inter School Spanish Language Festival titled” La
Feria-2018”. The event was hosted by Delhi Public School International, Saket on Friday, 26
October 2018 in which 16 schools competed against each other. DPS RK Puram bagged
2nd position in Dramatic Extract.

53.Inter- DPS Indian Classical Orchestra Festival was hosted by DPS , Gurgaon on 17 November
2018. A total of 21 schools from across the country took part in the event. DPS RK Puram
bagged 3rd position in the competition.
54.Inter School IT Event Geek-A-Hertz 2018 was held at St. Mark’s Sr. Sec. Public School, Meera
Bagh on 30th November, 2018. The Exunclan of DPS RKPuram bagged the Overall
Winners trophy.
55.Delhi Public School, RK Puram took part in the prestigious Lions Club Annual Hindi Debate
Competition held on 13 December, 2018 at Nehru Nagar. The topic for the debate was,
“Mobile phone ka upyog yuva varg ko gumraah kar raha hai”.
56.Delhi Public School, R.K.Puram took part in the prestigious Annual Sanskrit Geeta Chanting
Competition held at Shankaracharya Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya, Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan, New
Delhi on Monday, 17 December 2018. A total of 40 participants from 10 schools of Delhi NCR
took part in the mega event
57.The students of Expressions Theatre Club of Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram participated in
“Aaina” – the Second Annual Street Play Competition organized by St Xavier’s school, Civil
Lines on 18 January, 2019.
58.INTACH (Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage) organized a Monument Speak
Play Competition on 29 January, 2019 at INTACH, 71 Lodi Estate.The following students of
DPS RKP participated and won the Second position, a trophy for the school and certificates:
Varunavi 6J, Dia Dutt 9D, Anushka Gautam 9N, Akshaya 9N, Taneesha Daga 9D, Shashwat Raj
9K, Auparna 9A, and Rudra 9I.
59.The 15th Annual Asian Regional Space Settlement Design Competition (ARSSDC) was held at
Om Shanti Retreat Centre, Manesar from 10 to 14 February 2019. Two teams from DPS RK
Puram comprising of 19 students and 02 teachers participated in this 05 days mega event
60.The 19th Edition of extremely popular and rewarding “The Hindu Young World Quiz
Competition” was conducted on 14 February, 2019 with a participation of over 400 students.
Yash Mathur 7C and Vaibhav Mehra 8J from Delhi Public School, R K Puram secured Fourth
position in the Senior category
61.Delhi Public School, R K Puram lifted the Winners trophy of ‘International Financial Olympiad
2019’. Pratuysh Singh of IX, Deepanshi of X, Pragyat of XI and Pranav of XII were awarded a
cash scholarship of Rs One lakh

1. Khelo India Shooting Championship 2018, organised by Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs,
was held at Pune, Maharashtra from 9 – 20 January, 2019. Kirti Gupta of Class 12 won two
Silver Medals in the Trap Shooting Individual Championship.
2. National Inter DPS Tennis Girls Open Tennis Tournament was held at DPS, Gurugram, from 17-
18 November 2018. DPS RK Puram won the 2nd Runners Up Trophy.
3. Junior National Trap Shooting Championship 2018 was held at Patiala, Punjab from 30
October to 2 November, 2018. Aashima Khanna won Gold Medal and Kabir Sharma won
Bronze Medal in the Championship
4. National Inter DPS Basketball Boys Open Championship was held at DPS, Navi Mumbai from
25-27 November 2018.DPS RK Puram won the 1st Runners Up Championship. Shurya Chadha
was declared Best player of the tournament
5. oga competition was held at 25th MTNL Perfect Health Mela in Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi
on 26 Nov 2018. Many schools had participated from within Delhi and NCR. The topic was
‘Power of Yoga’.Yoga team of DPS R. K. Puram won 2nd prize in Middle School Category.
6. All India Inter School IPSC Yoga Competition was held at Scindia School, Fort Gwalior from 23
– 25 October 2018. A total of 19 schools from India had participated in the competition. DPS
RK Puram won the 3rd position in Girls U-19 Team Championship.

7. In the Modern School Invitational Squash Tournament 2018,Myra won the U14 Individual
Championship held at Modern School, Delhi from 14-16 November 2018
8. All India Inter DPS Athletics Girls U-14 Championship was held at DPS Agra from 2-3 November
2018. A total of 38 teams participated in the tournament. Ananya Negi (VII D) won Gold
Medal in 100 MTR Race. She was also declared the Best Athlete.
9. All India IPSC Chess Boys Championship 2018 was held at DPS Mathura Road from 18-20
October 2018. DPS RK Puram won the Gold Medal in U-17 Team Championship, Silver Medal in
U-19 team Championship and Bronze Medal in U-14 Team Championship
10.Inter DPS National Boys U-14 Championship was held at DPS Kolkata, New Town from 12-13
October 2018. Nimit Bajaj won 4 Silver Medals and 2 Bronze Medals. Jai Dhakha, Kavish Tokas
and Praghyan Khare won 2 Bronze Medals each
11.U-17 Delhi State Futsal Championship (Girls) 2018 was held at Sudeva Football School, New
Delhi from 23 to 25 August 2018. DPS RK Puram won the Championship by defeating Sriram
Millennium School, Noida by 2-0
12.CBSE U-17 Girls Football Tournament 2018 was held at Somerville School, Vasundhara
Enclave, New Delhi from 25 to 29 September 2018. DPS RK Puram won the 1st Runners up
position.
13.Zone 2 Inter DPS Boys Open Basketball Championship was held at DPS Dwarka from 5-7
October, 2018. DPS RK Puram won the Overall Championship. In the semifinals, DPS RK Puram
defeated DPS Vasant kunj by 35-19. In the finals, DPS RK Puram defeated DPS Faridabad by
29-28
14.Delhi State Shooting Championship 2018 in shotgun was held at Dr. Karni Singh Ranges in
Tuglakabad Shooting Range from 1-3 September,2018. Ashima Khanna of Class 8K won the
Silver Medal in the Junior Girls Clay Pigeon Trap Shooting Individual Championship.
15.National Inter DPS Girls U14 Swimming Championship was held at DPS Chandigarh from 27-28
Sep, 2018. DPS RK Puram won the 2nd Runner up Trophy. Prachi Tokas won the Best Swimmer
Award with 4 Gold Medals and 3 bronze Medals.
16.SGFI Squash Tournament 2018 was held at Chandigarh from 25-29 Sept 2018. Diya Dillon, Myra
and Tanisha from DPS RK Puram were selected for IPSC team and participated in the SGFI
Games. IPSC Team won the 1st Runner up Championship and Diya Dillion won the Silver Medal
in the Individual Championship.
17.The 3rd Green to Glory Golf Tournament was held at Jay pee Greens Wish town, Noida on 15
April 2018. Saanya Mahesh of X1 U was the winner of the tournament.She was also the 1st
Runner Up in the 6th Green to Glory Golf Tournament (held at Jay pee Greens Wish town,
Noida on 25 June 2018) and in the Young Master Golf Championship (held at Classic Golf and
County Club on 18 May 2018).
18.Inter School YMCA Swimming Championship 2018 was held at YMCA Swimming pool from 28
-29 August, 2018. DPS RK Puram won the U-14 Girls Overall Championship. Participants also
won the Gold Medal in 4×100 Meter Freestyle Relay and 4×100 Meter Medley Relay
19.All India IPSC Chess Girls Championship was held at Mody Girls School, Lakshmangarh,
Rajasthan from 6 – 8 Sept, 2018. DPS RK Puram won Overall U19 Team Championship 2018.
Ammana Munjal, Saanya Mahesh and Tanya Arya were selected for School National Games to
be held at West Godavari, Andhra Pradesh
20.National Inter DPS Squash (Girls) Tournament 2018 was organised by DPS RK Puram on 20 – 21
July 2018. 4 DPS Schools participated in this tournament . DPS RK Puram won the Overall
Championship. DPS Vasant Kunj was the Ist Runners up and DPS Chandigarh was the 2nd

21.National Inter DPS Swimming girls open championship 2018 was held at DPS Noida from
11-12 August 2018. DPS RK Puram won the 2nd Runners up in the overall Championship 2018
22.National Inter DPS Shooting Girls Championship 2018 was held at DPS Maruti Kunj, Haryana
from 31 July – 1 August 2018. DPS RK Puram won the 2nd Runners up trophy in Air Pistol

23.All India IPSC Football U-17 Girls Championship was held at Mayo Girls College, Ajmer from 24
– 26 July 2018. DPS RK Puram won the 1st Runners Up Trophy in the U17 Girls Team
Championship. lavanya of Class VII scored 16 Goals and was declared ‘Highest Scorer of the
Tournament’
24.All India IPSC Squash Championship was held at Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School,
Jodhpur, Rajasthan, for Girls (U 14, U17 & U 19) from 28 to 31 July, 2018 . DPS RK Puram
won the U14 Winner Trophy in the U14 Girls Team Championship. Diya Dillion of Class VI won
the Individual Championship 2018.
25.National Inter DPS Squash Boys Open Championship 2018 was held at DPS Greater Noida
Expressway from 28-29 July 2018. DPS RK Puram won the Team Championship and
Overall Championship . Sankalp Anand won theGold Medal and Jaivir Dillion won the Silver
Medal in the Individual Championship
26.All India IPSC Table Tennis Girls Championship was held at DPS Mathura Road from 27-29 July
2018. DPS RK Puram won the 1st Runners Up Trophy in the U14 Girls Team Championship.
Prashasti Pandey won the Silver Medal in the individual Championship
27.National Inter DPS Shooting Boys Championship 2018 was held at DPS Nacharam Hyderabad
from 23 – 24 July 2018. DPS RK Puram won the Ist Runners up trophy in Air Pistol category.
28.National Inter DPS Boys Chess Championship was held at DPS Eldico Lucknow from 20 – 21 July
2018.DPS RK Puram won the 1st Runners up trophy. Saurav Agarwal won the best Board prize
29.Albatross National Championship was held at Jaypee Greens, Greater Noida in June 2018.
Lavanya of Class VI C, DPS RK Puram participated and won the Championship. She was 1st in
the IGU Sub Junior, at ITC Manesar, Northern India, in May 2018 and won a Gold Medal in IGU
Sub-Junior, at Nainital, Northern India, in May 2018.
30.All India IPSC Basketball Girls U-14 Championship was held at Genesis School, Noida from 4 – 6
July, 2018. 13 IPSC School participated in this tournament. DPS RK Puram won the Overall
Championship in the Finals by defeating DPS Mathura Road by 42-33.
