• Event history method or survival analysis is considered as the most appropriate for studying a dynamic pattern of dropout (Willett and Singer, 1991).

• There are a series of research on causes of dropout using survival analysis implemented in developed countries.

Eg. Rumberger, R. W. 1983. Dropping out of High School: The Influence of Race, Sex, Family Background. American Educational Research Journal 20 (2), 199-220.

• In developing countries, no ready made data set: it is difficult to obtain reliable data.

More students dropout from good achievement schools.

Mean socioeconomic status (B = -1.1, OR = 0.333, *p < .05) This meant that students in schools which had higher mean achievement were more likely to drop out of school than those in schools which had lower mean achievement. The potential reason might be considered that students did not know their real performance because they were normally evaluated by the test made by classroom teachers. In this research, the tests that the researchers made were used as a standardized test for all the schools, while students recognize their achievement through monthly tests made by class teachers. The results of the class tests were informed to student as the rank in the class. A student who was identified the same in the standardized test might be high rank student in a low-achieving school and low rank student in high-achieving school. No (2012) suggested that relative achievement in class strongly affected dropout. At the student level, achievement was not found as a significant predictor of dropout, but it showed a negative effect (B = -.123). Mean achievement (B = 0.09, OR = 1.094, ***p < .001) Students in schools that had lower socioeconomic status were more likely to drop out of school than those in school that had higher socioeconomic status.

• In individual level (Level 1)- Educational Aspiration (B = -0.424, OR = 0.655, **p < .01)

Students with high aspiration have lower probability of dropout. - Distance from school to home(B = 0.303, OR = 1.35, *p < .05)Students who live near schools have lower probability of dropout.

- Absolute achievement measured by the researcher made tests was not found significant.

1- Because of Mean achievement was inexpertly were found positive effect on dropout out, as No (2012) suggest about the relative achievement. 2- since within this study the researcher have more data obtain in primary school teacher and principle that has not yet input for the analysis, i will test more to explore other school level predators that can predict drop out more.
