I, Abhinavagupta, with one pointed devotion,am praying to that supreme all pervadingLord Siva, who is himself present in eachand everything that exists, and who throughrealization reveáls himself as the one
limitless Bhairavanatha, the protector of thehelpless.
By the energy of your grace it has beenrevealed to me that this vibrating universe isyour own existence. Thus, O Lord Siva, this
realization has come to me that you are myown soul and as such this universe is myown expression and existence.
O possessor of everything, though yourdevotees, bound by karma and conditioningof mind, are caught in the net of destiny thatarouses troubles and bondage, still they arenot afraid of the fret and fever of this world.

O Lord Shiva, it is through your existence,revealed to me by real knowledge that Irealize all attachments and all that exists in
this universe is activated by you. It is bythis awakening, that my mind becomessaturated with immortal devotion and Iexperience supreme bliss.
O Lord, sometimes I feel misery whicharouses torment in my mind, but at thatsame moment, blessed by a shower of yourgrace, a clean and clear visión of myoneness with you arises, the impact of whichmy mind feels appeased.
O Lord Siva, it is said that through charity,ritual bath and the practices of penance thetroubles of worldly existence subside, buteven more than this, by remembrance of thesacred shastras and your words alone the
current of immortality like a stream of peaceenters my heart.
O Lord Bhairava, through my utmost faith Ihave perceived you in the unique sacrifíce ofoneness, which otherwise is not possible

O compassionate Lord, under the influenceof your glory and for the benefit of yourworshipers, I Abhinavagupta have composedthis hymn. By meditation and recitation of
this hymn within a moment that merciful LordBhairava destroys the torments andsufferings, springing from this wilderness ofsaMsara .
