SITE SYSTEMS
In 2011, SHW Group and Siteworks Studio developed a comprehensive site design, strategic implementation plan and feasibility study for the evolving Lenawee Intermediate School
District Agriscience Technology Center site. The site will allow for teaching of traditional and emerging agricultural sciences while preparing, updating and re-training people for
agriscience-related careers. As a carbon neutral site, the Center will model best practices for environmental site design in Lenawee County and will assist in the promotion of
agricultures role as a constructive environmental change agent.
While with SHW Group, I participated in early design research and conceptual development, digital modeling and rendering, and compiled the final study document.

SOUTH PORCH GARDENS AND GREEN HOUSESThese areas provide direct access for visitors and students to a variety of propagati on uses including nati ve plants, herbs, vegetables, and tree seedlings. In additi on, they will provide integrated access points for on-site composti ng and material management. To the left , the enhanced riparian bu er provides habitat and protects water quality.

THE STAKEHOLDER PROCESSThe consultant team worked closely with an LISD steering committ ee to develop a process to assess existi ng conditi ons, solicit input from a broader group of stakeholders that included students, explore alter-nati ve futures for the site, establish consensus around a preferred fu-ture, and complete a feasibility study and report detailing the process, the plan and an implementati on strategy.
