Savitribai Phule Pune University in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering,

Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering,

Civil Engineering, Information Technology along with post graduate courses in MBA, ME

Mechanical (Design Engineering) and ME Civil (Construction Management). The institute has

been accredited with NAAC ‘A’ Grade.

The purpose of this Newsletter is to provide information to the student-staff fraternity of

Nashik and society at large of the news, including relevant announcements and updates that we

believe are important to them. However, this newsletter is also a valuable tool for bolstering

“Renewable Energy – A Future

Prospectus” (3rd – 5th September 2020)

A 03 - day online Faculty Development

Program on “Renewable Energy – A Future

Prospectus” was arranged by the Deptartment

of Mechanical Engineering during 03rd

September to 05th September 2020.

Inauguration of the FDP was done by Chief

guest Mr. Avinash Shirode (Ex-Aerospace

Engineer of ISRO, Trivandrum). Dr. N. S.

Patil (Education Officer-MVP Samaj &

Principal) mentioned that use of renewable

energy & its use in our day to day life will

definitely reduce the burden on conventional

energy means e.g. thermal power stations

which are the most polluting agents for the

environment. On this occasion Vice Principal

Mr. N. B. Desale also expressed his views

about importance of use of renewable energy

sources. On first day of FDP, Dr. Brijesh Patel

(Head of Aeronautical Dept., Mats University,

Raipur) shared his views about the Wind

energy & its applicability in which he mainly

focused on the current wind power generation

scenario in India. On second day of FDP, Dr.

Naveen Kumar Shrivastava (Assistant

Professor, BITs Pilani, Dubai Campus, UAE)

during his expert talk explained the basic

working of Fuel cell to the participants. On the

last day of FDP, Dr. Sandeep Joshi (Assistant

Professor, Ramdeobaba College of Engineering

Department of civil engineering organized an

Engineers Day Celebration program on the birth
