Savitribai Phule Pune University in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering,
Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering,
Civil Engineering, Information Technology along with post graduate courses in MBA, ME
Mechanical (Design Engineering) and ME Civil (Construction Management). The institute has
been accredited with NAAC ‘A’ Grade.
The purpose of this Newsletter is to provide information to the student-staff fraternity of
Nashik and society at large of the news, including relevant announcements and updates that we
believe are important to them. However, this newsletter is also a valuable tool for bolstering
morale, promoting unity, team spirit, motivating and rewarding achievements of KBT COE,
Nashik. This college News-Letter has been started from January 2017 and latest issue will be

A 03 - day online Faculty Development
Program on “Renewable Energy – A Future
Prospectus” was arranged by the Deptartment
of Mechanical Engineering during 03rd
September to 05th September 2020.
Inauguration of the FDP was done by Chief
guest Mr. Avinash Shirode (Ex-Aerospace
Engineer of ISRO, Trivandrum). Dr. N. S.
Patil (Education Officer-MVP Samaj &
Principal) mentioned that use of renewable
energy & its use in our day to day life will
definitely reduce the burden on conventional
energy means e.g. thermal power stations
which are the most polluting agents for the
environment. On this occasion Vice Principal
Mr. N. B. Desale also expressed his views
about importance of use of renewable energy
sources. On first day of FDP, Dr. Brijesh Patel
(Head of Aeronautical Dept., Mats University,
Raipur) shared his views about the Wind
energy & its applicability in which he mainly
focused on the current wind power generation
scenario in India. On second day of FDP, Dr.
Naveen Kumar Shrivastava (Assistant

working of Fuel cell to the participants. On the

2020. In this session he focused on key differences
between Classical and Modern approaches in control
system. The brief overview of SISO Toolbox in
MATLAB is given by the expert during his session.

Ms. Urvashi Kshirsagar (ME Student) research
paper has got published in Scopus Journal (Solid
State Technology) on topic “Application of
Assignment Model in Precast Industry for optimizing
raw material procurement cost” under guidance of
Dr. M. P. Kadam and Mr. S. M. Waysal.

▪ Industry Institute Interaction Meet for
Training & Development (17/10/2020)
In this Industry Institute Interaction Meet, a
thorough discussion was done for students training &
development from Accelratron IoT experts and
KBTCOE Team. Accelaratron session is initiated by
the alumna, Mr. Bhushan Shinde. Scrum and Java
Exam Preparation and other technical and Interview
Techniques with Personality Development were also
discussed.

6. Parent – Teacher Meet
The parents of the students are important
stake holders of the institute. In order to know
their feedback regarding all the value addition
activities that the institute is conducting time to
time and to invite their suggestion for the
betterment in the institute practices, a Parent –
Teacher meet was organized in the month of
September 2020 by the respective departments.

7. Teachers’ Day Celebration
(05/09/2020)
The students of the institute celebrate the
birth anniversary of Shri. Sarvepalli
Radhakrishnan (Former President of India) as
Teachers day on 5th September every year. On
this occasion, they acknowledge the efforts and
role of teachers in their development. Few of
the glimpses of the celebration are as follows:

PAES organized the Teacher’s day program.
On Second and Third year classes, first two
lectures were conducted by students online.
Students have also arranged the event online. In
that, many students expressed their gratitude

Dr. A. R. Kulkarni delivered a presentation at BBN
Global Association’s weekly meeting in which he
discussed the consultancy services he can offer
through the MVP’s KBT COE, Nashik.

Dr. B. J. Parvat (HoD) donated the Books for the
department library 0n 19th September 2020.

Mr. Rahul Sahane (Alumna of 2015-16 batch) visited
department and had a discussion with staff members
on ongoing projects in Industry, the culture of
Industry, Situation about jobs in Industry and
Industry 4.0. He also showed interest in conducting
an online expert session on Industry 4.0 for our
current students.

The staff members of the department visited Nirmit
Precision Pvt. Ltd., Nashik and had an interaction
with Mr. Vivek Kulkarni, regarding implementation
of the research proposal on Roof top wind turbine
mill on 22nd October 2020.

Mr. Kunal Jadhav, alumna (2009-2010) of the
department donated the Books for the department
library on 10th October 2020.
▪ Book Delivery Activity (09/09/2020)
Department of Instrumentation & Control
Engineering in the initialization & coordination of
Dr. A.R. Kulkarni (Staff Member, ICE), started
library book delivery to the students as per their
requirements. In this regards Mr. Y. P. Patil (Staff
Member, ICE) delivered books to the third year
student Mr. Murtaza Husaini in this Covid-19
pandemic situation as on 9th September 2020.

Engineering and IQAC organized Teachers Day Quiz
Competition and Faculty Appreciation on the
celebration of national teacher’s day. The faculty
members whose results were 100% in final
examination in the academic year 2019-20 were
appreciated by department and IQAC.

▪ Departmental Advisory Board Meeting
(24/10/2020)
The Department of Civil Engineering organized a
Departmental Advisory Board Meeting on 24th
October 2020. Objectives of this meeting were to
discuss initiatives and efforts taken by the
department in pandemic situation, to share teaching
learning methods and to invite suggestions for
academic plan.
▪ Engineer’s Day Celebration (15/09/2020)
Department of civil engineering organized an
Engineers Day Celebration program on the birth
anniversary of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvara. Prof
N.B. Desale (Vice Principal) motivated the audience
about interdisciplinary work. Mr. Pravin Kolhe
(Chief Guest) highlighted important issues of COVID
19 situations which are affecting the construction
industry.
