Photo Feature: MISSION PILGRIMAGE TO MIAO, INDIA

SPONSORED TWO MORE CHURCHESSPONSORED TWO MORE CHURCHES Thirty parishioners participated in the mission pilgrimage to

North East India and Calcutta including the states of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, and Arunachal Pradesh.

The goal was to participate in the blessing of Sacred Heart Church sponsored by our parish and Sts. Peter & Paul Church sponsored by our pastor Fr. Abraham Mutholath in the Diocese of Miao.

Fr. Abraham Mutholath blessed Sacred Heart Church on Janu-ary 19, 2008 and Sts. Peter and Paul Church on January 20th. Adult baptisms were also held during the church blessing.

Most Rev. Dr. George Pallipparambil, Bishop of Miao officiated the concelebrated Mass after the church blessings.

Reception and cultural programs were held during both occa-sions.

Participants of the pilgrimage, along with the St. Vincent de Paul Society of our parish sponsored the construction of St. George Church as the Sacerdotal Silver Jubilee Souvenir of Bishop George Pallipparambil.

Rev. Fr. Abraham Mutholath sponsored the construction of St. Jude Church for the immigrants in Miao from Bangladesh.
