ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

IASET - 2016 THEMES

The papers are invited in the following topics.

The BIT is an energetic and vibrant higher educational institution promoted by the Bannari

Amman Group, a leading corporate house in southern part of India. It is an impressive campus

situated in a serene surrounding at the foot hills of the Nilgiris Mountains encompassing a

sprawling area of 180 acres with a built-up area of more than 28 lakhs square feet and

presenting an exemplary illustration of corporate contribution to society. BIT is a well

designed campus with state-of-the art facilities. It is an ideal, conducive, educational

retreat where one can fully focus on studies and attain academic goals.

The BIT has a team of 459 dedicated members of faculty, 144 with PhD and 114 pursuing PhD

programmes. It is currently offering 14 UG and 15 PG programmes and PhD programmes in

Engineering & Technology. The Institute has been approved by All India Council for Technical

Education (AICTE), New Delhi and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The Institute has

been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and National Assessment and

Accreditation Council (NAAC) with ‘A’ Grade. It is also an ISO 9001:2008 certified institution.

The Department of Mechatronics is well equipped with qualified and experienced faculty

members with Industrial and Research background. The Department has a team of 14

dedicated members of faculty, 3 with PhD and 1 pursuing PhD programmes. The department

offers one UG programme (B.E. Mechatronics), one PG programme (M.E. Industrial

Automation and Robotics). The Department has organized short term training programmes,

FDPs and state level conferences in association with AICTE, ISTE, DRDO, CSIR and TNSCST.

The department is equipped with FESTO Centre for industrial automation and Mechatronics

which is fully sponsored by FESTO Germany to carry out collaborative research activities in

the area of Electrical drives, Robotics, Bio sensors, Process automation, Fluidic Design,

Mechatronics and automation systems for the benefit of Students, Faculties and Society.

REGISTRATION

The Registration fee is to be paid by Demand Draft in favour of “The Principal, Bannari

Amman Institute of Technology” payable at Sathyamangalam, Erode District-638 401.

Registration Fee (per delegate)

Student Delegates : Rs. 500/-

Delegates from Academic / Research Institutions : Rs. 750/-

Delegates from Industries : Rs. 1000/-

Spot Registration : Normal fee + Rs. 250/-

The registration fee includes registration kit, conference proceedings, working lunch and

refreshments. For each paper, accepted for publication in the proceedings, at least one

author of the paper has to register for participation. Additional authors need to pay Rs

200/- per day to meet out the food expenses. Spot registered papers cannot be included

in the proceedings and registration kit will be based on availability.

SUBMISSION OF THE ABSTRACT

The authors are requested to submit abstract (about 300 words) of their paper in the form of soft copy through e-mail [email protected]. The selected papers will be recommended for the publication in journal (Listed in Anna University, Chennai) on additional payment basis.

Submission of camera ready manuscriptth

Details regarding preparation of the camera-ready manuscript will be sent along with the

acceptance letter.

Sathyamangalam is well connected by Road from Erode / Coimbatore. The nearest Railway Stations are Erode (65 km) and Coimbatore (70 km). The Institute is located 5 km from Sathyamangalam Bus Stand on Athani Road.
