SWAMI TEMPLE, UTTARA SWAMIMALAI (MALAI MANDIR), Ramakrishnapuram,

New Delhi, with strict adherence to Veda-Aagamic rites and rituals.

Gayatri and Moola Manthram. 1008 Ahuthis are offered in the sacrificial

fire at Homa Kundam and eight different Homa Dravyas are used.

Participation in this Homam brings all the cherished desires.

SREE SUBRAHMANIA PANCHA DASAKSHARI MAHA YAGNAM

Dates and timings notified inside. This is a unique and rare Maha

Mantra Japa Yagnam performed by six Sivachariars jointly for Universal

peace (VISWA SHANTHI), plenty, and prosperity to all the participating

devotees in particular and others in general.

NOTE:(i) due to space constraints, there will be two batches of KAVADI, first on

Sunday, the 22nd October 2017 and second on Wednesday, the 25th October, 2017 (Sree Skanda Shashti day). Only 350 Kavadis will be made available for each batch. Devotees, who wish to fulfill their Kavadi prarthanas, are requested to be in position positively by 9.30 a.m.

Booking of Kavadi for both the batches will start on Sunday, the 15th October, 2017, at 10.00 a.m.

(ii) There will be no Abhishekam to Sree Vinayakar in the evening of

18th October, 2017 and to Lord Swaminatha in the evening of 26th October, 2017, due to Sandana Kappu. Only Pooja Kattalai Abhishekams will be performed to Lord Swaminatha on the 25th and 26th October, 2017 at 4.30 p.m.

(iii) Mahabhishekam performers on 25th October, 2017 (Sree Skanda Shashti day) are requested to be present at 7.00 a.m. (15 minutes before the commencement of Abhishekam) for participation in the Snapana (Kalasa) Pooja. On other days, Abhishekam will normally start at the scheduled timings.

Contributions in kind like rice, dhall, gur, pure ghee etc. for preparation of Bhog-prasadams and distribution to devotees after Pooja (worship) and Abhishekam materials like honey, tender coconuts, milk, rose water, vibhoothi packets, sandal, etc. will be gratefully accepted. These may be handed over to the Manager at the temple office.

Shudh (pure) cow's ghee will also be accepted for offering Aahootis in Havan, to be performed both in the morning and evening during the festival. This may also be handed over to the Manager at the temple office.

MAKING OF AN EXQUISITE THANGA RATHAM (GOLDEN CHARIOT) FOR LORD SWAMINATHA

AT UTTARA SWAMI MALAI

Running of the Thanga Ratham (Golden Chariot) is one of the cherished desires of the devotees of Delhi. The fulfilment of this dream requires strengthening of the second prakaram at the Uttara Swamimalai.

Devotees are informed that broadening and strengthening of the second prakaram at Uttara Swamimalai can be expected to be completed in about 2 months (end of August 2017).

Time has come now for the making of long pending THANGA RATHAM (Golden Chariot). Enquiries reveal that this project will cost the Samaj well over Rs.2 crores. While metallic body of the Ratham may cost heavily, the quantum of pure 24 ct gold that would be required for smearing, is estimated to be about one and a half kilos. Devotees are well aware that the present cost of gold is very high and it would be very difficult for the Samaj to bear the entire cost of gold. It is our earnest appeal to all Lord Swaminatha Swami bakthas to donate gold for this holy cause and be recipient of blessings of the Lord. Unused broken pieces of gold can also be donated. They will be melted to become 24 ct solid gold. There is an adage in Tamil – English meaning - Only small pieces make huge collection. Money (Cash) can also be donated for the specific purpose of purchase of gold. Money can also be deposited with Andhra Bank, R.K. Puram Branch, New Delhi, in favour of Sree Swaminatha Swami Seva Samaj A/c No.048110011902941, IFSC Code ANDB0000481. Devotees can also contribute one gram of gold (Rs.3000/-).

The present majestic structure of the temple and its adjuncts owe their existence only due to the sacrifice and earnest efforts of Delhi devotee public. The Samaj is confident that the same devotees will rise up to this occasion and come forward to make a grand “THANGA RATHAM” for Lord Swaminatha.
