“I WILL NOT LET ANYONE WALK THROUGH MY MIND WITH THEIR DIRTY FEET.”

MAHATMA GANDHI

Mahatma Gandhi in BHU in 1916 said: Our country, our schools are a reflection of our character. Is it right that they should be as dirty as they are? Should they not be models of roominess and cleanliness? Why is our country filled with indescribable filth around temples, railway compartments, cities and schools?

HOW WE CAN BE CLEAN?

Page 11: Swachh Bharat Abhiyan By Akash Kumar Singhal

•Recycle as much as you can! It doesn't matter if you recycle one or one thousand cans, it is still helping us to reduce new "natural resource" usage.•Shop for clothes at secondhand stores. This gives the clothes that someone else grew out of or didn't want anymore a second chains. Making new clothes creates a lot of pollution. Excessive farming leads to deforestation. The rainforest is needed to reduce the greenhouse effect.

How To Save Environment

Page 12: Swachh Bharat Abhiyan By Akash Kumar Singhal

•Reduce, reuse and finally recycle. It's better to reduce the amount you use first of all. Buy fewer things. Think about it, do you really need that much stuff. Reuse what ever you can. If you can't reuse it recycle it so that it can be made into part of something else.•Eat things that are grown locally. This reduces the transportation, which likely will also reduces the overall resource use and pollution associated with the transport from afar.
