and supporters across the state. 18th May 2009, The TMC activists burnt the huts of

poor villagers at Sholabhaga in Howrah district.

The Maoists gunned down Dibakar Bhattacharya, the second officer of Sankrailpolice station at Sankrail on October 20, 2009.

Comrade Madar Ali Molla, veteran CPI (M) member of Jibantala Local Committee was

shot dead from point-blank range by some armed TMC goons at Canning in South 24

Parganas on August 17, 2009.

Comrade Sankar Das, a CPI (M) supporter and a resident of Chilgora village underSadar block of Kotowali police station of West Midnapore district was dragged out of

his home and was gunned down by a group of 10-12 armed Maoists and TMC sup-

porters at about 11:30 p.m. on August 5, 2009

Comrade Barendranath Mahato, a CPI(M) member and Comrade Gurucharan

Mahato, a CPI(M) activist were left murdered by the Maoists at Sirsi of Dherua

panchayat in Jangalmahal of West Midnapore on July 10, 2009.

Colleagues brought the dead bodies of two policemen - Aloke Mondol and Srikanta

Banerjee, who lost their lives at a mine attack in Pirakanta on November 27, 2009.

Comrade Salku Soren, a CPI (M) member of Madhyamkumari branch under Dharam-

pur Local Committee was brutally murdered by Peoples Committee and Maoists

-TMC activists at Lalgarh in West Midnapore district on June 11, 2009 (Thursday). A

resident of Kankrachara village under Lalgarh block, Salku was dragged out from his

home and was later shot dead at Ajanashuli forest.

Comrade Samarendra Konai, a CPI (M) member of Khameddagram branch was bru-

tally murdered by the TMC goons at Margram in Birbhum district on August 18, 2009

(Tuesday). Konai was the Karmadhakshya of No 2 Panchayat Samiti of Rampurhat.

On his way back to home, some TMC goons hurled bombs at Konai. A severely in-

jured Konai was admitted to the Rampurhat hospital, but could not survive.

Comrade Ramakrishna Duley, a CPI (M) activist was killed by the Maoists at Sarenga

police station of Saluka village in Bankura on August 15, 2009 (Saturday). Duley be-

came the target of the Maoists and TMC members as he had fought for the poor sec-

tion. While returning to home after ploughing lands, he was gunned down. Duleys

family members burst into tears after they had come to know about his death.

After the election was over in Howrah district on May 8, 2009 (Friday), the TMC activists carried out

armed attacks in Baksi of Bagnan, Chandrapur of Amta, Rabibhag Purbapara and Deorapara (Bagnan),

South Malikpara and Ramchak (Udaynarayanpur) and killed three CPI (M) members. Comrade Sheikh

Saidul, a CPI (M) activist and a labourer of Rabibhag Purbapara in Bagnan was murdered by the TMC

goons. They also hurled bomb on Sheikh Babua at Khara Chhilampur of Baksihat in Bagnan. Babua,

who had just completed the Madhyamik examination, lost his life in this attack. The TMC activists also

attacked Comrade Chandu Dalui at his house in South Malikpara of Udaynarayanpur. Dalui, a CPI (M)

member was also killed in this attack.

Mutilated body of Comrade Shahuddin Khan, an active CPI (M) activist was found

at Haldi river in East Midnapore on May 10, 2009 (Sunday) after he was abducted by

the Trinomool Congress members two days ago.

The killer squad of Maoists and TMC brutally murdered Baneshwar Murmu, a peas-ant at Sarenga in Bankura on September 8, 2009.

Comrade Anil Mahato, secretary of CPI(M)s Bankisol branch; Comrade Avijit Ma-

hato, leader of SFIs zonal committee and Comrade Niladri, leader of DYFIs local

committee were gunned down by the Maoists at No 6 - National Highway near Lod-

hasuli under Jhargram sub-division in West Midnapore district on June 17, 2009. TheMaoists came in motor bikes, entered the tea stall and carried out this heinous act.

Some armed TMC activists carried out heinous terrorist activities at Satyapirtala village under No 1

Gram Panchayat of Tehatta Kantaberia area of Uluberai police station in Howrah district on July 9,

2009 (Thursday). Avijit Mondal, a school student received severe injuries in this attack. Though he

was admitted to a nursing home at Ekbalpur in Kolkata, he breathed his last on July 13, 2009.

Mukherjee, member of CPI (M) Brudwan district committee at Gourdanga under Man-

galkot police station in Burdwan district on June 15, 2009 . Comrade Mukherjee wasalso the Karmadhakshya of the electricity department of the Zilla Parishad.

Comrade Gobinda Samanta, a school-teacher in profession and a CPI (M) leaderwas brutally flocked to death by some TMC activists at Panskura of East Mid-

napore district on June 5, 2009 (Friday). A severely injured Mahato was brought tothe Sambhunath Pandit hospital in a critical condition, but could not hold his breathfor long. Mahatos limbs were broken by TMC activists as they beaten him up bybamboo and wood sticks.

TMC members and other opposition parties have ransacked CPI (M) party offices

across the state. Even these TMC hooligans also have set the CPI (M) party office on

fire.

Saifunnesa Bibi, a 73-year-old minority woman was severely injured after a group of

40 armed TMC activists attacked her house in Bardigharui village. She was left unat-

tended for two days as TMC activists did not spare the medical practitioners to enter

the village. Later, she was admitted to the Arambagh hospital by the Pursura policeand lastly brought to the SSKM hospital in Kolkata, where she breathed her last on

November 4, 2009.

Sheikh Hasibul Hussain, an activist of the Krishak Sabha was murdered by TMC sup-

porters on October 9, 2009.

Comrade Ajoy Patra, a CPI (M) activist was killed by the Maoists at Salboni

on September 16, 2009.

dead by the Maoists at the border

area of Bagmundi in Purulia districton November 26.

Two CPI (M) members were killed at Suti in Murshidabad district on October 27,2009 (Tuesday) after some Congress supporters hurled bombs on them.
