- We are currently working with them on their youth focused and designed marketing and they are developing their own website where young people can gain useful information about volunteering, totally from another young persons point of view. This peer to peer engagement strategy is an approached adopted by eVolve.

Revolution Festival Sept 2008
300 young people spent the weekend at the festival participating in a massive environmental volunteering exercise, which involved clearing a large area of overgrown forest to restore it to woodland pasture. Volunteers were able to complete two years worth of conservation work in a single day whilst enjoying great live bands and local seasonal food.
This festival is about getting more young people involved in volunteering, showing the world what we can achieve when we work together and are having a lot of fun at the same time. - 14. REVOLUTION 08 Festival
Fourteen young people from across projects and YATs in the South West were recruited to help develop and organise the event as a core group of volunteers, and they designed and set up the website www.revolutionfestival.org.uk and produced posters for the event.
Being involved from the start means weve been able to put together the kind of festival people our age really want to go to. Its been a brilliant experience (Oliver, 17) - 15. Youth Action Team Suffolk
Youth Led Project Museums and youth
The Youth Action Team (YAT) has been working with Museums, Libraries & Achieves in Suffolk. By visiting three very different museums, meeting volunteers, getting a back stage view of each museum the YAT looked at why young people are not engaged & what can be done to make them more accessible and appealing to this age group. This is an ongoing project & the YAT are now looking into funding applications to implement some of the ideas that have come out of the initial work. - 16. Youth Action Team East London
Youth Action Team North East London, vinvolved East London and Redbridge Youth Services organised the Million: Dare (to be all you can be) event to promote volunteering to young people in Redbridge.
The Youth Action Team (YAT), wanted to deliver a community event to highlight the existence of local volunteering opportunities, established youth information and advice outposts, whilst celebrating local youth achievements - 17. a youth volunteering festival in Plymouth City Centre.
Through my youth support officer I heard about the YAT and went
along to ask if they could help me to organise the Vestival. The
Vestival was a great success. 40 organisations came, and we had
loads of workshops & live music giving the event a festival
feel. Thousands of people came through the marquee & I met the
Mayor & took him on a guided tour of the festival. I really
enjoyed the experience and I learned new things in a new area that
I never thought Id get involved in. If anyone had said to me I
would be organising a city wide festival 8 months ago I wouldnt
have believed them!!!
