5. Situation Summary
On Monday. June 25th, 2012 the Miami Heat will host a victory parade to celebrate their championship win over the
Oklahoma City Thunder. The City of Miami will provide Fire, EMS and Police support to the parade and celebrations.Victory parade festivities are set to begin at 0900, with the actual parade starting at 1100, and ending at 1200. At1230, the team will go inside American Airlines Arena for an additional private celebration reserved for season-ticketholders. The parade route begins at the corner of S.W. 8th Street and 2nd Avenue, heading east on 8th Street, thennorth on Brickell Avenue across the bridge, and north on Biscayne Boulevard to the Arena.

3. Objective(s):
Provide Fire and Rescue services to public attending the Miami Heat celebratory parade along theparade route
Assist Miami Heat Officials with the dispensing of water at five Hydration Stations
Provide Fire Prevention supervision during the interior portion of the celebration
Miami Fire Rescue will deploy units along the parade route and at the Miami Airlines Arena to deliver EMSservices to the celebrating public as noted below:
Six ALS Scooters positioned along the parade route
Six BLS Foot Patrols positioned along the parade route
Five Hydration Stations
One Arena Rescue
Two Transport Rescues staged
One FPB Inspector
One Support Services Officer

General Situational Awareness:
