What should be done
Preserve, support and further develop the current
activities of the mineral sector
Encourage the mineral sector to use its knowledge,
know – how, technology and market chain to expand
to new markets and to acquire new deposits
Create a friendly, supportive and responsible (fromboth sides) environment for the further
development of mineral activities

What should be done
Carpet Diem: take advantage now of the EU needsand the opportunities given now in the EU
Allocate enough and knowledgeable personnel to
support these activities and establish a direct linkwith the relevant EU mining - mineral and metal
associations (Euromines, IMA, …) and EU initiatives
Support and invest in realistic and promising mineralprojects
