    Colour importanceYellow- Stood for Center and Earth, it was reserved for the Emperor and his Consort.

    Blue- Represented Spring and East, Manchus adopted blue as their dynastic color,the court and dragon robes were worn by mandarins (in the Chinese empire, amember of any of the nine ranks of high officials, each rank distinguished by a

    characteristic jeweled button worn on the cap)

    Green- It was considered, to be a shade of blue.

    Red- Symbolized summer and the south. It had been the dynastic color of the Ming,it was used extremely for weddings and celebrations.

    White- It represents autumn and west, but it was associated with death, it was feltto be an unlucky color to wear.

    Black- Stood for winter and north.
