varivasyārahasyam
savyākhyānam
prathamoṃ'śaḥ
vidyānāṃ ca manūnāṃ manusaṃkhyānāṃ ca vidyānām |
upadeṣṭā jayatitarāṃ narasiṃhānandanāthaguruḥ ||
varivasyārahasyākhyo grantho yaḥ svena nirmitaḥ |
tatra durghaṭaśabdānāmarthaḥ saṃkṣipya kathyate ||
tadvijñānārthaṃ sa gurumevābhigacchet ācāryavān puruṣo
veda ityādiśrutyā gurūpasadanasya tattvajñānajanakatvāt prathamaṃ
sakalamantrādhiṣṭhātṛdevatāpararūpaṃ guruṃ śleṣeṇa taddaivataṃ
narasiṃhaṃ ca vighnavighātāya stuvan saṃpradāyaṃ tadājñayaiva
pravartayati-
prahlādābhīṣṭadāne vibudhasamudayastūyamānāpadāne
(')śeṣakṣoṇībhṛdantaḥpravilasitapadāhobalakṣetragarbhāt |
prādurbhūte hiraṇyadviradamatimadadhvāntatantraṃ nihantuṃ
dhīre sacchāstrayonau mama bhuvanagurāvastu bhaktirnṛsiṃhe || 1 ||
prahlādākhyo daityaḥ, tadabhīṣṭānāṃ dānaṃ yasmāt pakṣe
prakṛṣṭo hlādo brahmānandaḥ, tasya abhīṣṭānāṃ
dharmārthakāmānāṃ ca dānaṃ yasmāt tasmin | vibudhānāṃ
devānāṃ paṇḍitānāṃ ca samudayena samudāyena
stūyamānamapadānaṃ pūrvacaritraṃ yasya tasmin | apadānaṃ karma
vṛttam ityamaraḥ | hiraṇyākhyo yogyatayā hiraṇyakaśipuḥ,
nāmaikadeśe nāmagrahaṇāt sa eva dviradaḥ siṃhavadhyatvāt tam |
kīdṛśaṃ tam? atiśayitamada evājñānapariṇāmatvād dhvāntam,
tattantraṃ tadadhīnam, madaparavaśamiti yāvat pakṣe hiraṇyaṃ
dhanopalakṣaṇam, dviradāḥ senāṅgopalakṣaṇam,
matirasacchāstrajñānam, tatsambandhī mado yeṣāṃ teṣāṃ
dhvāntānāṃ dhvakāro'nte yeṣāṃ nāmni teṣāṃ mādhvānāṃ
tantraṃ śāstraṃ nihantuṃ śeṣakṣoṇībhṛtaḥ śeṣācalasyāntaḥ
pravilasitaṃ śobhamānaṃ padaṃ sthānaṃ

yasyāhobalākhyakṣetrasya, tasya garbhānmadhyāt, pakṣe,
aśeṣāṇāṃ samastānāṃ kṣoṇībhṛtāṃ rājñāṃ madhye
pravilasite pade caraṇau yasya ahobalākhyasya puruṣadhaureyasya, tasya
kṣetraṃ patnī, tasyā garbhāt, prādurbhūte dhīre dhairyaśālini, pakṣe
dhiyaṃ rātīti dhīraḥ paṇḍitastamin satāṃ śāstrāṇāṃ yoniḥ
kāraṇam, yasya niḥśvasitaṃ vedāḥ, chandā/si jajñire tasmāt ityādi-
śravaṇāt sacchāstrāṇyeva yonirjñāpakaheturyasyeti vā, taṃ
tvaupaniṣadaṃ puruṣaṃ pṛcchāmi iti śravaṇāt,
śāstrayonitvādhikaraṇe dvedhāpi vyākhyānāt pakṣe
sacchāstrāṇāṃ yoniḥ kartā, granthakarteti yāvat tasmin bhuvanagurau
nṛsiṃhe narakesariṇi, nṛsiṃhanāmake ca mama bhaktirastviti prārthanā
| atropameyopamāyā upamāyā abhedasya vā dhvaniḥ |
śleṣo'laṃkāraḥ | so'pi ca prakṛtobhayaviṣayakaḥ
sabhaṅgo'bhaṅgaśca | sragdharā vṛttam || 1 ||
ā prācaḥ kāmarūpād druhiṇasutanadaplāvitādā pratīco
gāndhārāt sindhusāndrādraghuvaracaritādā ca setoravācaḥ |
ā kedārādudīcastuhinagahanataḥ santi vidvatsamājā
ye ye tāneṣa yatnaḥ sukhayatu samajān kaścamatkartumīṣṭe || 2 ||
kāmarūpagāndhārau deśau | setukedārau kṣetre |
druhiṇasutasindhū nadaviśeṣau | viduṣāṃ vidyopāsakānāṃ
samājāḥ, na śilpādijñānayukte vidvacchabdaḥ prayujyate ityādinā
vidvacchabdasyopāsakaparatāyāstriśatyāṃ pradarśanāt | samajāḥ
paśugaṇāḥ | paśūnāṃ samajo'nyeṣāṃ samājaḥ ityamaraḥ || 2 ||
sa jayati mahān prakāśo yasmin dṛṣṭe na dṛśyate kimapi |
kathamiva tasmiñjñāte sarvaṃ vijñātamucyate vede || 3 ||
sa sarveṣāmātmatvena prasiddhaḥ, mahān
deśakālādyanavacchinnaḥ parāprakāśyaḥ prakāśaḥ sarvadā
anāvṛtātmasvarūpajyotiḥ svarūpajyotirevāntaḥ iti rahasyāgamāt, na
tatra sūryo bhāti ityādiśravaṇācca | jayati sarvotkarṣeṇa vartate |
yasminnadhiṣṭhānte dṛṣṭe nirvikalpātmakacaramavṛttiviṣayīkṛte sati
kimapi dṛśyaṃ na dṛśyate, adhiṣṭhānajñānanāśyatvāt | ata
evaikavijñānena sarvavijñānaṃ śrutāvuktaṃ kathaṃ saṃgacchata iti
sāścaryamāha-kathamiveti | atha vā, vivartavādaṃ vedāntisaṃmataṃ
pariṇāmavādī tāntriko dūṣayati-kathamiveti | tanmate

mṛdghaṭādidṛṣṭāntānupapattirityarthaḥ | atreyaṃ tāntrikaprakriyā-
icchāmi jānāmi ityādāvuttama-puruṣāntarbhāsamānaṃ
sphuraṇānvayi jñānameva prakāśābhidhaṃ brahma | tacca
sarvajñatvasarveśvaratva-
sarvakartṛtvapūrṇatvavyāpakatvādiśaktisaṃvalitam | tasya
cānandarūpāṃśa eva sphuraṇaṃ parā ahaṃtā, vimarśaḥ, parā
lalitā bhaṭṭārikā, tripurasundarītyādipadairvyavahriyate | uktaṃ ca
virūpākṣapañcāśikāyāṃ viśvaśarīraskandhe-
īśvaratā kartṛtvaṃ svatantratā citsvarūpatā ceti |
ete'haṃtayāḥ kila paryāyāḥ sadbhirucyante ||
iti | parāhaṃtāmantareṇedaṃtāyā asaṃsphuraṇādahamidamoḥ
sasaṃbandhikatvādidaṃpadagamyasya dṛśyasyāhaṃtārūpaśaktyā
tadviśiṣṭabrahmaṇā vā janyatvam | tacca dṛśyaṃ tatpariṇāma eva,
tasyāṃ pariṇatāyāṃ tu na kaścit para iṣyate iti vāmakeśvaratantrāt,
vācārambhaṇaṃ vikāraḥ ityādiśrutīnāṃ tatraiva svārasyācca |
śaktiśaktimatorupādānopādeyayoratyantamabhedaḥ, na
punaraupaniṣadādivadbhedābhedau | ata eva sarvaṃ khalvidaṃ brahma iti
sāmānādhikaraṇyamabhede, na punarbādhāyām | advaitaśrutayaḥ
sarvā apyetadabhiprāyikā evāviruddhāḥ |
sarvapramāṇamūrdhanyayā śrutyā tadanusāritantraiścādvaite kathite,
tadviruddhatvena bhāsamānaḥ kāryakāraṇayorbhedāṃśa eva kalpita
āstāṃ na punaḥ sarvo'pi prapañcaḥ | neha nānāsti kiṃcanaḥ
ityādiśrutiṣvapi bhedāṃśasyaiva niṣedho na prapañcasya |
ekamevādvitīyam ityādau śrūyamāṇo bhedavatprapañcābhāvo'pi
viśeṣaṇābhāvaprayukta eva | ata eva bhāmatyāṃ
hāṭakamakuṭagranthe bhedasyaiva hāṭakanyūnasattākatvaṃ na
makuṭasyoktaṃ, pariṇāmasya pariṇāmisamānasattākatvāvaśyikatvāt
| māyāmātramidaṃ dvaitam ityatrāpi dvaitaśabdena bhedasyaiva
mithyātvamucyate, na punarbhedavataḥ tathātve tu
pratiyogitāsaṃbandhena jagata ivānuyogitāsaṃbandhena brahmaṇo'pi
bhedavattvasya sattvāt sadasadbhyāmabhāvo nirūpyata iti
nyāyasiddhatvāviśeṣānmithyātvāpatteḥ | tataśca śruterapi
pariṇāmavāda eva saṃmataḥ sidhyati | bhagavatā vyāsenāpi
prakṛtiśca pratijñādṛṣṭāntānuparodhāt ityasminnadhikaraṇa
ekavijñānena sarvavijñānapratijñāṃ
mṛdghaṭanakhanikṛntanādidṛṣṭāntam bahu syāṃ prajāyeya

ityabhidhyopadeśādikaṃ cānusaṃdadhānena pariṇāmavāda
evābhipretaḥ, kaṇṭharaveṇoktaśca ātmakṛteḥ pariṇāmāt iti sūtre |
bhāṣyakārairapi tatra vivartavādānusāreṇa vyācakṣāṇairapi
saundaryalaharyām, manastvaṃ vyoma tvam- iti śloke tvayi
pariṇatāyām iti svābhimataḥ pariṇāmavāda eva sphuṭīkṛtaḥ | asmin
pakṣe rahasyanāmasahasre mithyājagadadhiṣṭhānā ityādau
śrūyamāṇaṃ mithyātvaṃ tu svānatiriktarūpatvam,
ghaṭādirūpeṇānityatvaṃ brahmarūpeṇa nityatvam,
mṛdghaṭayorabhede'pi ghaṭarūpeṇa dhvastatvaṃ
mṛdrūpeṇādhvastatvaṃ
cetyādivadviruddhadharmanirāsādikamūhyamityādikaḥ
śāṃbhavānandakalpalatāyāṃ vistaraḥ || 3 ||
imamevārthaṃ ślokadvayenāha-
naisargikī sphurattā vimarśarūpāsya vartate śaktiḥ |
tadyogādeva śivo jagadutpādayati pāti saṃharati || 4 ||
ihotpādanādi trayaṃ tirodhānānugrahayorupalakṣaṇam || 4 ||
sāvaśyaṃ vijñeyā yatpariṇāmādabhūdeṣā |
arthamayī śabdamayī cakramayī dehamayyapi ca sṛṣṭiḥ || 5 ||
avaśyam, sarvavijñānasādhanatvānmokṣādipuruṣārthapradatvācca |
arthamayī śivādikṣityantaṣaṭtriṃśattattvarūpā | śabdamayī
parādivaikharyantā | cakramayī bindvādibhūgṛhāntā | dehamayī
sūkṣmādisthūlāntā || 5 ||
tajjñānārthamupāyā vidyā loke caturdaśa proktāḥ |
teṣvapi ca sārabhūtā vedāstatrāpi gāyatrī || 6 ||
caturdaśa vidyāḥ-catvāro vedāḥ ṣaḍaṅgāni nyāyo
mīmāṃsā purāṇaṃ dharmaśāstraṃ ceti | tantrāṇāṃ
dharmaśāstre'ntarbhāvaḥ | teṣāṃ prāmāṇyasamarthanaṃ
tvasmadīye tripurasundarībāhyavarivasyāvidhau draṣṭavyam |
tantrarājavyākhyāne ca vistareṇa tantrāṇāṃ
dharmaśāstre'ntarbhāvaḥ prapañcayiṣyate | evaṃ ca na

śiṣṭākopādhikaraṇasthavārtikavirodhaḥ,
śāstraparimāṇānatikramāt || 6 ||
tasyā rūpadvitayaṃ tatraikaṃ yat prapaṭhyate ()spaṣṭam |
vedeṣu caturṣvapi paramatyantaṃ gopanīyataram || 7 ||
tasyā gāyatryāḥ spaṣṭamaspaṣṭaṃ ceti padaccheda āvṛttyā |
caraṇatrayam tat savituḥ ityādi spaṣṭam | parorajase sāvadom iti caturtha
caraṇaṃ tvaspaṣṭamityarthaḥ | paraṃ śrīvidyākhyaṃ dvitīyaṃ
rūpam || 7 ||
yadyapi tantrarājādau saundaryalaharyāṃ ca hādividyāyā eva
prathamamuddhāro dṛśyate, tathāpi śrīvidyaiva tu mantrāṇāṃ tatra
kādiryathā parā iti vacanāt, ṣoḍaśīghaṭakatvācca,
yadakṣaraikamātre'pi, yadekādaśamādhāram
ityādirahasyārthapratipādyākṣaraśālitvācca, triśatyāmasyā
evādarācca, tripuropaniṣadyetanmūlakatvenaivānyāsāmuddhārācca,
yoginīhṛdayādāvuktānāmihāpi vakṣyamāṇānāmarthānāmatraiva
svārasyācca, śāṅkhāyanaśrutau catvāra īṃ bibhrati ityasyāmṛci ca
prathamamasyā evoddhārācca kādividyāyāḥ prādhānyamiti
dyotayaṃstasyāḥ pratīkamādatte-
kāmo yoniḥ kamaletyevaṃ sāṃketikaiḥ śabdaiḥ |
vyavaharati na tu prakaṭaṃ yāṃ vidyāṃ vedapuruṣo'pi || 8 ||
kāmo yoniḥ kamalā vajrapāṇirguhāhasā mātariśvābhramindraḥ |
punarguhāsakalā māyayā ca purūcyeṣā viśvamātādividyā ||
iti śāṅkhāyanaśrutiḥ | kāmo mātariśvā ca kakāraḥ | yonirekāraḥ |
kamalā turīyaḥ svaraḥ | vajrapāṇirindraśca lakāraḥ | guhādvayaṃ
māyā ca lajjābījam |
haseti sakaleti ca svarūpam | guhayā saha samāsādbahuvacanaṃ na
punaḥ sakāro dīrghaḥ | evaṃ lakāro'pi | abhraṃ hakāraḥ | etādṛśaiḥ
sāṃketikaiḥ śabdairvyavahārādatyantagopanīyatvaṃ samarthitvaṃ
bhavati || 8 ||
vidyāvarṇānuddharati-

krodhīśaḥ śrīkaṇṭhārūḍhaḥ koṇatrayaṃ lakṣmīḥ |
māṃsamanuttararūḍhaṃ vāgbhavakūṭaṃ prakīrtitaṃ prathamam || 9
||
śivahaṃsabrahmaviyacchakrāḥ pratyekamakṣarārūḍhāḥ |
dvaitīyīkaṃ kūṭaṃ kathitaṃ tat kāmarājākhyam || 10 ||
śivato viyato muktaṃ tṛtīyamidameva śaktikūṭākhyam |
hṛllekhānāṃ tritayaṃ kūṭatritaye'pi yojyamante syāt || 11 ||
krodhīśo brahmā ca kakāraḥ | śrīkaṇṭho'nuttaramakṣaraṃ
cākāraḥ | tamārūḍhastena yuktaḥ | koṇatrayaṃ yoniḥ | lakṣmīḥ
kamalā | māṃsaṃ śakraścendraḥ | śivo viyacca hakāraḥ | haṃsaḥ
sakāraḥ | akṣarasamūhātmakatvāt kūṭatvavyapadeśaḥ || 9-11 ||
hṛllekhāyāḥ svarūpaṃ tu vyomāgnirvāmalocanā |
bindvardhacandrarodhinyo nādanādāntaśaktayaḥ || 12 ||
vyāpikāsamanonmanya iti dvādaśasaṃhatiḥ |
bindvādīnāṃ navānāṃ tu samaṣṭirnāda ucyate || 13 ||
vyoma hakāraḥ kevalo na tvakāraviśiṣṭaḥ | agnī rephastādṛśaḥ
| vāmalocanekāraḥ | bindvādayo navāpi
sūkṣmasukṣmatarasūkṣmatamakālairuccāryā dhvaniviśeṣāḥ,
varṇaviśeṣā vā | na ca kakārādivat spaṣṭamanuccāryatvāt
tantrīsvaratulyatvena śrūyamāṇatvācca kārapratyayādyabhāvācca
bījabindudhvanīnāṃ ca trikūṭeṣu grahātmikā ityādau
dhvanipadenaiva tantreṣu vyavahārācca na varṇatvamardhacandrāderiti
vācyam, anusvāravisargādāvuktahetusattve'pi varṇatvasyeṣṭatvāt |
kathamanyathā triṣaṣṭiścatuḥṣaṣṭirvā varṇāḥ śuṃbhumate matāḥ
iti pratijñāya anusvāro visargaśca-iti parigaṇanaṃ śikṣāyāṃ
saṃgaccheta? na ca tādṛśasaṃkhyāvirodhādeva nātra varṇatvam, tatra
spaṣṭoccāryāṇāmeva gaṇanāt | na ca
tālvādiparigaṇitasthānānabhivyaṅgyatvānna varṇatvam,
tadanabhivyaṅgyatvasya paśyantyādāvavyāpteḥ, catvāri vākparimitā
padāni iti śrutyā varṇasamūhātmakapadatvasya spaṣṭamuktatvācca |
ata eva catuḥśatīśāstre nādasyārthavarṇanaṃ saṃgacchate | na ca
rathaghoṣavat padārthasmārakatvopapattiḥ tatra hi
tatkālakaraṇīyatvasaṃbandhena māhendrastotropākaraṇasya

smṛtiviṣayatāyā vācanikatvena rathaghoṣasāmānyasya
laukikādisādhāraṇasya smārakatvābhāvena tasya tatra śakterayogāt,
prakṛte tu na tatheti vaiṣamyāt
hṛllekhātrayasaṃbhūtaistithisaṃkhyaistathākṣaraiḥ ityādau
pratihṛllekhaṃ hakārarephekārānusvāranādapañcakamiti
pañcadaśākṣarāṇītyuktyā,
nāde'kṣaratvavyavahārasyāsakṛdyoginīhṛdaye,
bhūmiścandraḥ śivo māyā śaktiḥ kṛṣṇādhvamādanau |
ardhacandraśca binduśca navārṇo merurucyate |
mahātripurasundaryā mantrā merusamudbhavāḥ ||
iti jñānārṇavādāvapyasakṛdvyavahārasya darśanācca | dhvanipadena
vyavahārastu tattulyatvāllakṣaṇayā
dhvaniparyāyanādapadavācyatvānneyārtharūpalakṣaṇayā vā neya iti
dik | evaṃ ca prathamatṛtīyakūṭe aṣṭādaśavarṇātmake
madhyakūṭaṃ tu caturadhikam saṃhatyāṣṭapañcāśadvarṇātmikā
vidyeti siddham | yadyapi binduvinirmuktānāmaṣṭānāmeva
nādasaṃjñā mantraśāstre, tathāpi vyavahārasaukaryāya
tatsahitānāmeva sātra kṛteti dhyeyam || 12, 13 ||
siddhamevāha-
prathame'ṣṭādaśa varṇā dvāviṃśatirakṣarāṇi madhye syuḥ |
prathamena tulyamantyaṃ saṃghātenāṣṭapañcāśat || 14 ||
varṇānāṃ kālānāha-
mātrādvitayoccāryā kāmakalā ca trikoṇa ca |
bindurahitahṛllekhā mātrākālatrayoccāryāḥ || 15 ||
anyeṣāṃ varṇānāṃ mātrākālo'rdhamātrayā sahitaḥ |
bindorardhaṃ mātrā pare pare cāpi pūrvapūrvārdhāḥ || 16 ||
saṃhatyaikalavono mātrākālo'sya nādasya |
mātrā laghvakṣarasya kālaḥ | taddviguṇo gurvakṣarasya | ata eva
kāmakalā kamalā trikoṇā yoniśca dvimātrā | hṛllekhāyāṃ
dvayorvyañjanayorekā mātrā, kāmakalāyā dve mātre iti tisraḥ |
anyeṣāmakārasahitānāṃ kakārādidaśavarṇānām | bindorapi

vyañjanatvādardhā mātrā,
ekamātro bhaveddhrasvo dvimātro dīrgha ucyate |
trimātrastu pluto jñeyo vyañjanaṃ tvardhamātrakam ||
iti vacanāt | pare pare, ardhacandrarodhinyādayaḥ, pūrvapūrvārdhāḥ
ardhacandrasyārdhakālo rodhinyāḥ, rodhinyardhakālo
nādasyetyādikrameṇa kālavantaḥ | ayaṃ bhāvaḥ-kālaparamāṇurlava
ityucyate,
nalinīpatrasaṃhatyāḥ sūkṣmasūcyabhivedhane |
dale dale tu yaḥ kālaḥ sa kālo lavasaṃjñitaḥ |
ataḥ sūkṣmatamaḥ kālo nopalabhyo bhṛgūdvaha ||
iti vacanāt | ṣaṭpañcāśaduttaraśatadvayalavairekā mātrā |
bindoraṣṭāviṃśatyuttaraśataṃ lavāḥ | ardhacandrasya catuḥṣaṣṭiḥ |
rodhinyā dvātriṃśat | nādasya ṣoḍaśa | nādāntasyāṣṭau |
śakteścatvāraḥ | vyāpikāyā dvau lavau | samanāyā eko lavaḥ |
unmanāyāstu nāstyeva kālaḥ | yadyapi yoginīhṛdaye cakrasaṃkete
dīpākāro'rdhamātraśca ityanena bindoḥ kālamuktvā
ardhacandrādeḥ śaktiparyantasya
caturaṃśāṣṭāṃśaṣoḍaśāṃśādirūpabhāgadvaiguṇyaṃ
kālasyoktvā śaktyādīnāṃ pūrvapūrvadviguṇāṃśakālavattvaṃ
sāmānyenoktam catuḥṣaṣṭistadūrdhvaṃ tu dviguṇaṃ dviguṇaṃ tataḥ iti tena ca vacanena mātrāyā dvādaśottarapañcaśatatamo bhāga
unmanākāḥ, mātrāsvarūpaṃ ca
dvādaśottarapañcaśatalavātmakatvameva pratīyate, ata eva
deśakālāna vacchinna tadūrdhvaṃ paramaṃ mahat
ityuttaragranthe'pyunmanāyāḥ parata eva kālānavaccheda ukta iti
vyaktaṃ pratīyate tathāpi catuḥṣaṣṭiḥ- iti ślokasya
śakeścatuḥṣaṣṭitatamo mātrābhāgaḥ, tadūrdhvaṃ dviguṇaṃ
vyāpikāyā aṣṭāviṃśatyuttaraśatatamo bhāgaḥ, tato dviguṇaṃ
samanāyāḥ ṣaṭpañcāśaduttaraśatadvayātmako bhāga
ityarthastatastadūrdhvamiti padābhyāṃ dviguṇapadadvayena ca
spaṣṭaṃ pratīyate ata evottarārdhe śaktyādīnāṃ ca mātrāṃśo
manonmanyāstathonmanī ityatra manonmanīti padasya
samanāparyāyasya samanāparyantānāmityarthakatvamaṅgīkṛtya

śaktyādīnāṃ tisṛṇāmityamṛtānandairvyākhyātam | nādasya
bindvādinavakasya || 15, 16 ||
ekādaśa vākkūṭe sārdhā ekādaśoditā madhye || 17 ||
sārdhā aṣṭau śaktāvekaikalavonitā mātrāḥ |
saṃhatyaikatriṃśanmātrā mantre lavatrayanyūnāḥ || 18 ||
śaktau tṛtīyakūṭe || 17-18 ||
utpattisthānayatnāvāha-
kaṇṭhe ca kaṇṭhatāluni tāluni danteṣu mūrdhni nāsāyām |
spṛṣṭavivārādyāntarabāhyairyatnaistadakṣarotpattiḥ || 19 ||
kakāratrayamakāradaśakaṃ hakārapañcakaṃ ca kaṇṭhe |
dvitīyamakṣaraṃ kaṇṭhatāluni | prāṇyaṅgatvādekavadbhāvaḥ |
īkāracatuṣṭayaṃ tāluni | lakāratrayaṃ sakāradvayaṃ ca danteṣu |

mahāprāṇavantau vivārādimantau ca | svarāḥ sarve'pyudāttāḥ |
rephā lakārāśca saṃvāranādaghoṣālpaprāṇavantaḥ | hakārāstu
saṃvārāditrayavanto mahāprāṇavantaśca |
bindvādayastvātyantikasaṃvārādicatuṣkavantaḥ | iti bāhyaḥ

atha varṇānāṃ sthitisthānaṃ rūpamākāraṃ cāha-
pralayāgninibhaṃ prathamaṃ mūlādhārādanāhataṃ spṛśati |
tasmādājñācakraṃ dvitīyakūṭaṃ tu koṭisūryābham || 20 ||
tasmāllalāṭamadhyaṃ tārtīyaṃ koṭicandrābham |
mālāmaṇivadvarṇāḥ krameṇa bhāvyā uparyupari || 21 ||
mūlādhārādityādi pañcamītrayaṃ lyablope |
mūlādhāramārabhyetyarthaḥ | tasmādanāhatamārabhya
tasmādājñācakramārabhya | idaṃ ca sthānatrayaṃ

bindvādirahitakūṭatrayasyaiva | suṣumṇākhyanāḍīmūlāgrayordve
sahasradalakamale, madhye cāṣṭadalaṣaḍdalādīni triṃśatpadmāni
savistaraṃ svacchandasaṃgrahādau prapañcitāni | tatra gudopari
dvavyaṅgulordhve liṅge nābhau hṛdi kaṇṭhe bhrūmadhye ca
mūlādhārasvādhiṣṭhānamaṇipūrānāhataviśuddhyā-
jñānāmakāni caṭuḥṣaḍdaśadvādaśaṣoḍaśadvidalāni
dvidvigranthimadhyasaṃdaṣṭāni cakrapadavācyānyapi ṣaṭ padmāni
santītyanyatra vistaraḥ || 20, 21 ||
ādhārotthitanādo guṇa iva paribhāti varṇamadhyagataḥ |
atreyaṃ śabdasṛṣṭiprakriyā-vaṭabījāntargatavaṭa-
vṛkṣīyasūkṣmarūpatulyaśabdasṛṣṭisūkṣmarūpaśālinī
pūrvoktarūpā tripurasundaryeva
tādṛśasūkṣmarūpavattvapravṛttinimittakaparāpadavācyā | saiva ca
māti tarati kāyatīti ca vyutpattyā mātṛketyucyate | tasyāṃ ca
nirvikārāyāmapyanādissiddhaprāṇyadṛṣṭavaśāt svāntaḥ
saṃhṛtaviśvasisṛkṣotpadyate | tataḥ sraṣṭavyapadārthānālocayati,
tadaikṣata bahu syāṃ prajāyeya iti śruteḥ | tādṛśamīkṣaṇameva
pravṛttinimittīkṛtya tasyāṃ paśyantīti padaṃ pravartate | saiva ca
paśyantyākhyā mātṛkā karaṇasaraṇita uttīrṇatvāduttīrṇetyucyate |
tadavayavāśca vāmādayo'ṣṭau śaktayo'nyatra prapañcitāḥ | ataḥ
saiva vyaṣṭisamaṣṭiveṣeṇa navavidhā | tato nava nādā
avikṛtaśūnyādayo jātāḥ | tatsamaṣṭiśca nādadhvanyādipadavācyā
nātisūkṣmā parāvannātisthūlā vaikharīvadato madhyamākhyā
mātṛkā madhyamāvayavarūpamavikṛtaśūnyasparśanādadhvani-
binduśaktibījākṣarākhyaṃ nādanavakaṃ mūlādhārādiṣaṭke nāde
nādānte brahmarandhre ca sthitaṃ |
navabhirnādairakacaṭatapayaśalākhyavarganavakavatī vaikharyākhyā
mātṛkā jātā, vai niścayena spaṣṭataratvāt khaṃ
karṇavivaravartinabhorūpaśrotrendriyaṃ rāti gacchati,
tajjanyajñānaviṣayo bhavatīti vyutpatterityādyanyato vistaraḥ | evaṃ ca
kakārādau katvādivarṇadharmāṇāṃ ṣaḍjatvādidhvanidharmāṇāṃ
cānubhūyamānatvāt pariṇāme pariṇāmino'nusyūtatāyā mṛdghaṭe
darśanācca varṇeṣu nādo'nusyūtaḥ | tantuviśeṣajanyaḥ paṭaviśeṣo
varṇakapadavācyaḥ | tatra kapratyayaparityāgena
prayogastvakṣaravācakavarṇapadena śleṣārthaḥ | guṇa iva
varṇakākhyapaṭaviśeṣopādānabhūtatantuviśeṣavanmālā-

maṇyādhārasūtravaccetyarthaḥ | varṇamadhyagata ityasya
dvayorvarṇayormadhyabhāge varṇaśarīrāntarbhāge ca sthita ityarthaḥ |
ayaṃ bhāvaḥ-dvayorvarṇayormadhyabhāge
maṇidvayamadhyabhāgasthaśuddhasūtravacchuddhanādasya bhānam,
varṇaśarīrāntarbhāge
tu paṭābhedena saṃvalitatantuvadghaṭāntarmṛdvacca
tattadvarṇābhedenaiva nādasya bhānam, na punastatra
maṇyantargatasūtradṛṣṭāntaḥ tasya maṇito'tyantabhinnatvāditi || 21 ||
athāvaśiṣṭasya bindvādinavakasya sthitisthānarūpākārānāha-
madhyephālaṃ bindurdīpa ivābhāti vartulākāraḥ || 22 ||
tadupari gato'rdhacandro'nvarthaḥ kāntyā tathākṛtyā |
atha rodhinī tadūrdhvaṃ trikoṇarūpā ca candrikākāntiḥ ||
nādastu padmarāgavadaṇḍadvayamadhyavartinīva sirā |
nādāntastaḍidābhaḥ savyasthitabinduyuktalāṅgalavat || 24 ||
tiryagbindudvitaye vāmodgacchatsirākṛtiḥ śaktiḥ | bindūdgacchattryaśrākāradharā vyāpikā proktā || 25 ||
ūrdhvādhobindudvayasaṃyutarekhākṛtiḥ samanā |
saivordhvabinduhīnonmanā tadūrdhvaṃ mahābinduḥ || 26 ||
śaktyādīnāṃ tu vapurdvādaśaravikāntipuñjābham |
madhyephālaṃ phālasya madhye | pāre madhye ṣaṣṭhyā vā iti
samāsaḥ | kāntyā, ākṛtyā cānvarthaḥ
ardhacandravatkāntirākāraścetyarthaḥ | aṇḍasthānīyau
dvau bindū sirāsthānīyā madhyarekhā ceti trayaṃ saṃhatya
nādasyākāraḥ bindudvayāntare daṇḍaḥ śevarūpo maṇiprabhaḥ iti
cakrasaṃketokteḥ | śevo muṣkadvayamadhyavartinī nāḍī, maṇiḥ
padmarāga iti tu sāṃpradāyikī vyākhyā | daṇḍasya
śevarūpatvaviśeṣaṇaṃ ghanatādārḍhyayornirāsāya,
keśatulyapiṣṭavikāreṣu pāyasopayukteṣu śevapadaprayogādityapi
vyākhyā nātīva viruddhā | ūrdhvāgraṃ dakṣiṇāraṃ lāṅgalam,
vāmabhāge bindureka iti nādāntākāraḥ | visarjanīyavadūrdhvādho
bindudvayamiti bhramanirāsāyāha-tiryagiti |
vāmādvāmabhāgasthabindumārabhyordhvaṃ gacchantī niḥsarantī yā
sirā rekhā tadākāretyarthaḥ | śaktirvāmasthabindūdyatsirākārā iti

cakrasaṃkete | ārṣatvāt samastasyāpi bindupadasya pūrvapadena saha
bahubrīhyavayavatvena, uttarapadena saha
pañcamītatpuruṣāvayavatvenāpi kākākṣinyāyenānvaya iti
sāṃpradāyikairvyākhyānāt | udyatpadasya sāmānyavācakasyāpi
bindūdyaditi viśeṣe lakṣaṇāyāṃ vāmasthādbindorudyatyāḥ sirāyā
ākāro yasyā ityeva vigṛhya bindorvāmasthatvaviśeṣaṇabalādeva
dakṣiṇādigbhāge niḥsirāka eko bindurastīti gamyata iti vyākhyāyāṃ
vā na ko'pi kleśaḥ | bindusaṃspṛṣṭāgrakatrikoṇākārā vyāpikā |
bindudvayāntarālastha-ṛjurekhāmayī punaḥ | samanā iti vacane
śaktivadbindudvayaṃ tiryagrūpaṃ mā bhūdityataḥ
saṃpradāyamanusarannāha-urdhvādha iti | saṃyutā
agramūlabhāgayoḥ saṃśliṣṭā, na tvaspṛśantī sthitā | iyaṃ ca
brahmarandhrasaṃsthānā | iyameva ca manonmanītyapi vyavahriyate |
manaso yathāvarithatarūpasyaivābhyāsa-
viśeṣeṇaitāvatparyantavṛttyudgamaḥ susādha ityataḥ samanetyucyate |
etadupari tu rūpāntaraṃ prāptasyaiva manaso dhṛtiviṣayatetyata
utkrāntamanaskatvādunmanā |
prakṛtānupayuktamapyunmanoparisthānaṃ cakrarājasya
trividhabhāvanāntargataniṣkalabhāvanāyāmupayuktatvena
prasaṅgādāha-tadūrdhvaṃ mahābinduriti || śaktyādīnāmiti |
samanāntānāṃ tisṛṇāmiti saṃpradāyaḥ | śaktyādīnāṃ tisṛṇāṃ
dvādaśaravitulyakāntayastanavaḥ
iti pāṭho yuktaḥ | bindvādisvarūpāṅgavistaraḥ svacchandasaṃgrahe
draṣṭavyaḥ || 22-26 ||
atha varṇānāmuccāraṇaprakāramāha-
ityevaṃ varṇānāṃ sthānaṃ jñātvoccaredyatnāt || 27 ||
nādaḥ prāthamikastu dvitīyakūṭena sākamuccāryaḥ |
dvaitīyīkaṃ nādaṃ tārtīyenoccarenna pṛthak || 28 ||
bindvādinavakayostu prāktanakūṭasthayoranayoḥ |
saṃmelanena śabalaṃ tārtīyīkaṃ vibhāvayet kūṭam || 29 ||
bindvādikasamanāntaṃ krameṇa tārtīyamuccarennādam |
unmanyantarlīnaṃ vibhāvayedetaduccaraṇam || 30 ||
sthānaṃ kaṇṭhādyutpattisthānaṃ mūlādhārādi sthitisthānaṃ

ca | yatnādāntarabāhyayatnapūrvakam | idaṃ ca
mānasajapātiriktaviṣayam | tatra tattatsthānayatnavibhāvana-
mātrasyopayoga iti draṣṭavyam | nādo bindvādinavakam |
pūrvapūrvakūṭasthanādasyottarottarakūṭoccāraṇenaivo-
ccaritaprāyatvānna tatra pārthakyena yatnaḥ kālavilambo vā kārya
ityarthaḥ | tṛtīyakūṭe
tūttarakūṭābhāvāttadubhayamapekṣitamityāha-bindvādiketi || 27-30 ||
pūrvaṃ vidyāsvarūpasya kāla uktaḥ, idānīmuccāraṇakālaṃ
niṣkṛṣyāha-
ādye daśa madhye tāḥ sārdhāstārtīyakūṭe'ṣṭau |
ekalavonā ūnatriṃśanmātrā manorjape kālaḥ || 31 ||
ādye kūṭe daśa mātrāḥ | madhye kāmarājakūṭe tā daśa
sārdhā mātrāḥ | tārtīyakūṭe'ṣṭāviti | asya pūrvaparavarti
padadvayaṃ kākākṣinyāyena dvirdviranvayitavyam | tenaikalavonāḥ
sārdhā aṣṭau mātrāstṛtīyakūṭe yathā pūrvamavasthitā ityarthaḥ |
saṃhatya tvāha-ekalavonā iti | ūnatriṃśadekonatriṃśat jape vācike |
na tu mānase pūrvoktakālādayaḥ | prathamadvitīyakūṭasthāstu yatra
nyāsādau saṃdhyāṅgabhūtaikaikakūṭamātrajape ca
prātisvikamuccāraṇena kūṭānāṃ viniyogavidhistatraiva sārthakā iti
vijñeyam || 31 ||
atha kūṭānāṃ vyaṣṭisamaṣṭibhedena caturdhā bhinnānāṃ
svarūpaviśeṣānāha-
vyaṣṭisamaṣṭivibhedādasyāṃ catvāri bījāni |
sṛṣṭisthitisaṃhārānākhyārūpāṇi bhāvanīyāni || 32 ||
puṭadhāmatattvapīṭhānvayaliṅgakamātṛtatsamaṣṭīnām |
rūpāntarāṇi bījānyamūni catvāri cintanīyāni || 33 ||
anākhyā tirodhānānugrahayoḥ samaṣṭiḥ, kṛtya-
pañcakeṣvapyaudāsīnyāvalambanarūpāvasthānaviśeṣo vā |
puṭādiṣaṭkaṃ dhāmasaptakaṃ ca tritrirūpaṃ pṛthak pṛthak,
tatsamaṣṭirekaiketyevaṃ catvāri catvāri yathā-puṭāni
jñātṛjñānajñeyāni tatsāmarasyaṃ ca | dhāmāni

cakranāthadaśāśaktitrayātmarūpāṇi sapta | tatra
cakrāṇyagnicakrasūryacakrasomacakrāṇi brahmacakraṃ ca | nāthā
mitreśanāthaṣaṣṭhīśanāthoḍḍīśanāthāścaryā-nandanāthaśca |
daśā jāgratsvapnasuṣuptayasturīyā ca | śaktayaḥ-
vāmājyeṣṭhāraudryaḥ śāntā ca icchājñānakriyā ambikā ca
kāmeśvarīvajreśvarībhagamālinyo mahātripurasundarī ca | ātmāna
ātmāntarātmaparamātmāno jñānātmā ca |
tattvānyātmatattvavidyātattvaśivatattvāni sarva tattvaṃ ca | pīṭhāni
kāmarūpapūrṇagirijālaṃdharāṇyoḍyāṇapīṭhaṃ ca | anvayāḥ
prāgdakṣiṇapaścimānvayā uttarānvayaśca | eta eva
samayapadenāmnāyapadena ca kathyante | liṅgāni
svayaṃbhūbāṇetarāṇi paraṃ ca | mātṛkāḥ
paśyantīmadhyamāvaikharyaḥ parā ca | dhāmapadārthatvenoktaṃ
śaktitrayaṃ mātṛpadasya vārthaḥ || 32, 33 ||
atha pratyakṣaraṃ svarūpamāha-
ekaikasmin karmaṇi sṛṣṭyādivibhedatastrividhe |
brahmādyā adhipatayo bhāratyādisvaśaktibhiḥ sahitāḥ || 34 ||
brahmādayastrayo'mī bhāratyādyāśca śaktayastisraḥ |
pratyakṣarasvarūpāḥ śāktārthe vakṣyamāṇayā rītyā || 35 ||
sṛṣṭikarma trividhaṃ sṛṣṭisṛṣṭiḥ sṛṣṭisthitiḥ
sṛṣṭisaṃhṛtiśceti | evaṃ sthitikarma sthitisṛṣṭiḥ sthitisthitiḥ
sthitisaṃhṛtiśceti | evaṃ saṃhṛti karmāpi saṃhṛtisṛṣṭiḥ
saṃhṛtisthitiḥ saṃhṛtisaṃhṛtiśceti | atra pratitrikaṃ brahmādayastrayo
brahmaviṣṇurudrā bhāratīpṛthivīrudrāṇīsahitā adhipatayaḥ | evaṃ ca
prathamakūṭe-kakāro brahmaṇa eva rūpāntaram, trikoṇā tu
bhāratīsvarūpā, turyaḥ svaro viṣṇusvarūpaḥ, lakāraḥ
pṛthivīsvarūpaḥ | hakāro rudrasvarūpaḥ, repho rudrāṇīsvarūpaḥ,
turyaḥ svarastu śāntāmbikātmakamithunasvarūpaḥ | dvitīyakūṭe
madhyamahakāraṃ parityajyāvaśiṣṭākṣareṣveṣaiva rītiḥ |
tṛtīyakūṭe tu dvitīyakūṭasthaparityaktahakārasya
brahmasvarūpatvādbhāratīmārabhyaiva sakāreṇārambhaḥ |
śaktikūṭatvena śakteḥ prādhānyena prathamaṃ nirdeśaḥ |
tadetadāha-śāktārthe vakṣyamāṇayeti || 34, 35 ||
athāvaśiṣṭānāṃ bindvādīnāṃ svarūpamāha-

hṛllekhākāmakalāsaparārdhakalākhyakuṇḍalinyutthāḥ |
nādāścakratritayatritayātmāno vibhāvanīyā rayuḥ || 36 ||
atra prathamakūṭe yā hṛllekhā, tadantargatā yā kāmakalā,
tasyāṃ gurumukhaikavedyā yā saparārdhakalā, sā
bahnikuṇḍalinītyucyate | saiva dvitīyakūṭe sūryakuṇḍalinīti,
tṛtīyakūṭe somakuṇḍalinīti ca kathyate | bindvādisamaṣṭirūpo
nādastu tata evotpanno dīpaśikhāgra-vartikajjalalekhāvat | evaṃ
cānāhatamārabhyotthito
nādastrailokyamohanasarvāśāparipūrakasarvasaṃkṣobhaṇa-
cakratrayasya trividhasṛṣṭirūpasyāparaṃ rūpam
bhrūmadhyamārabhyotthito nādaḥ sarvasaubhāgyadāyaka-
sarvārthasādhakasarvarakṣākaracakratrayasya
trividhasthitirūpasyāparaṃ rūpam bindusthānamārabhyotthito nādaḥ sarvarogaharasarvasiddhipradasarvānandamayacakratrayasya
saṃhṛtitrayarūpasyāparaṃ rūpamiti vibhāvanīyāḥ || 36 ||
athāvasthāpañcakaṃ śūnyaṣaṭkaṃ viṣuvatsaptakaṃ ca japakāle
vibhāvyamāha- indriyadaśaketyādinā, evamavasthetyantena
ślokaṣoḍaśakena |
indriyadaśakavyavahṛtirūpā yā jāgarāvasthā |
tatra prakāśarūpo heturbhāvyastṛtīyage rephe || 37 ||
karmendriyāṇi pañca vākpāṇipādapāyūpasthāni
jñānendriyāṇyapi pañca ghrāṇarasanacakṣustvakśrotrāṇi eteṣāṃ
daśānāṃ svasvaviṣayotpādakatvaṃ vyavahāraḥ sa eva jāgarāvasthā
| tatra heturūpaṃ jñānamarūpatvādbhāvanādaśāyāṃ
prakāśarūpatvena tṛtīyakūṭastharephasthāne vibhāvanīyam || 37 ||
antaḥkaraṇacatuṣkavyavahāraḥ svāpnikāvasthā |
sā tārtīyekārādbodhyāpi galasthale cintyā || 38 ||
mano buddhirahaṃkāraścittaṃ cetyantaḥkaraṇāni catvāri |
taireva vyavahāraḥ svapnaḥ | tajjanakaḥ
prakāśastṛtīyahṛllekhāsthakāmakalayā bodhyaḥ | athāpi galasthale
dvaitīyīkalakāre cintyaḥ | galasthaścāsau laśceti vigrahaḥ || 38 ||

āntaravṛtterlayato līnaprāyasya jīvasya |
vedanameva suṣuptiścintyā tārtīyabindau sā || 39 ||
vivaraṇamata ātmasukhājñānaviṣayikāstisro'vidyāvṛttayaḥ
svīkṛtā ityata āha-āntaravṛtteriti |
antaḥkaraṇapariṇāmarūpavṛtterityarthaḥ | vārtikamate
vṛttisāmānyābhāva eva suṣuptiḥ | tārtīyabindau lalāṭasthāne || 39 ||
turyāvasthā cidabhivyañjakanādasya vedanaṃ proktam |
tadbhāvanārdhacandrādikaṃ trayaṃ vyāpya kartavyā || 40 ||
ardhacandrarodhinīnādeṣu vyāptasturyāvasthāprakāśo bhāvyaḥ || 40

candrako mayūrapicchāgragataṃ candrākāraṃ śūnyam |
taduktaṃ svacchandasaṃgrahe-
śikhipakṣacitrarūpairmaṇḍalaiḥ śūnyapañcakam |
dhyāyato'nuttare śūnyaṃ paraṃ vyoma tanurbhavet ||

agnyādidvādaśānteṣu trīṃstrīṃstyaktvā varānane |
śūnyatrayaṃ vijānīyādekaikāntaritaṃ priye |
śūnyatrayāt pare sthāne mahāśūnyaṃ vibhāvayet ||
iti pūjāsaṃkete rephādimahābindvanteṣu dvādaśasu sthāneṣu
madhye trayaṃ trayaṃ tyaktvā, ekaikamantaritaṃ madhyasthitaṃ

śūnyatrayaṃ vijānīyādityarthādardhacandraśaktimahābinduṣu
śūnyatrayaṃ tadūrdhvaṃ caturthamityarthaḥ atha vā, ādāvante ca
trayaṃ trayaṃ tyaktvāmadhyasthe'rdhacandrādivyāpikāntaṣaṭka
ekaikavyavadhānena śūnyatrayaṃ tatpare
caturthamityardhacandranādaśaktiṣu trīṇi śūnyāni vyāpikāyāṃ
mahāśūnyamiti vārthaḥ spaṣṭaṃ pratīyate tathāpi
śūnyaṣaṭkaṃ sureśāni avasthāpañcakaṃ punaḥ |
viṣuvatsaptarūpaṃ ca bhāvayanmanasā japet ||
ityupakramavirodhādanyathārthaḥ | tathā hi-agnyādīti bhinnaṃ padaṃ
śūnyatraye'nveti | antaśabdaścaramāvayavavācī |
arthāccaramahṛllekhāsaṃbandhiṣu dvādaśasvavayaveṣu
hakārādyunmanānteṣu, agnyādi rephamārabhya śūnyayostrayaṃ
śūnyaṣaṭkaṃ vijānīyāt | tacca na rephādisāṃtatyena, kiṃ
tvekaikavyavadhāneneti | ata āha-ekaikāntaritamiti | prathamaśūnyasya
rephasthānīyatve kathite
vyavadhānamarthāddhakārekārārdhacandranādaśakti-samanābhiḥ
ṣaḍbhiriti sidhyati | tadevāha-trīṃstrīniti |
dviguṇitāṃstrīṃstyaktvetyarthaḥ | śūnyatrayāt śūnyayostrayasya,
tatṣaṭkasyetyarthaḥ | supāṃ su- iti supo ṅasa ādādeśaḥ | nirdhāraṇe
ṣaṣṭhī | teṣāṃ madhye pare carama unmanyāṃ mahāśūnyamiti |
etadvibhāvanasya paramarahasyatvāditthaṃ kleśenoktirityanvayitavyam ||

aikyena nādamayatāvibhāvanaṃ mantraviṣuvākhyam |

prāthamikakūṭanāde bījacatuṣkasyaikyam,
svasyatmanastvādhārotthitanādena sahaikyaṃ na
prāthamikenānāhatādārabdhena saha,
ādhārotthitanāde tu līnaṃ buddhvātmarūpakam |
saṃyogena viyogena mantrārṇānāṃ maheśvari ||
anāhatādyādhārāntaṃ nādātmatvavicintanam |

mūlādhārādicakraṣaṭkasyāpyadha ūrdhvaṃ caikaiko granthiriti
dvādaśa granthayaḥ | tadbhedanamārgeṇaiva suṣumṇānāḍī
mūlādhārād brahmarandhraṃ vyāpnoti | tenaiva mārgeṇa nādasya
varṇapaṅkteśca nāḍīsaṃyuktatvena bhāvanayoccāraṇaṃ

rephe kāmakalārṇe hārdakalāyāṃ ca bindvādau |
nādāntāvadhi nādaḥ sūkṣmataro jāyate tatra || 47 ||

tṛtīyakūṭastharephādiṣu saptasu sthāneṣvādhārādārabdhasya
nādasya tatra sūkṣmataratādaśā, abhighātāduttarottarakṣaṇeṣu

kāṃsyatāladhvanivat | tasya śaktau layo bhāvya ityarthaḥ || 47, 47- ||

śaktyantargatanādaṃ samanāyāṃ bhāvayellīnam || 48 ||
śaktisthānādūrdhvaṃ punarujjīvitasya nādasya sūkṣmatamasya

tadidaṃ caitanyābhivyaktinidānaṃ tu tattvaviṣuvākhyam || 51 ||
ukteṣu dvātriṃśatpadmaṣvadhastanadvayaṃ caramaṃ cākulapadmāni |
śeṣāṇi kulapadmāni | teṣu yadyapi mūlādhārākhyāt
kulapadmādeva vidyākṣarāṇāmārambhaḥ, tathāpi cakrarājasya
sakalākhyabhāvanāyā adhastanasahasradalakamalamārabhyaiva akule
viṣusaṃjñe ca ityādinā catuḥśatyāmuktatvāt
kulākulavidyayorabhedena śrīvidyāyā api tata ārambhoktistantreṣu |
adhyuṣṭaṃ sārdhatrayam | nimeṣo locanaspandakālaḥ | tasya
trisahasratamo'śastriṭiḥ,
svasthe nare samāsīne yāvat spandati locanam |
tasya triṃśattamo bhāgastatparaḥ parikīrtitaḥ |
tatparasya śatāṃśastu truṭirityabhidhīyate ||

avasthādicatuṣṭaye saṃkhyācatuṣṭayasya kramādanvayaḥ |
nādatrayasya cakratrayātmakatvabhāvanaṃ prāguktam | cakrasaṃkete
tvanyadapi trayamuktam-cakrabhāvanaṃ trividhaṃ sakalaṃ niṣkalaṃ
sakalaniṣkalaṃ ceti | akulasahasrāraṃ mūlādhārādipañcakaṃ
sūkṣmajihvā bhrūmadhyaṃ bindusthānaṃ ceti navasu sthāneṣu
trailokyamohanādicakranavakabhāvanaṃ sakalam,
bindvādyunmanyantaṃ tadbhāvanaṃ dvitīyam, mahābindāveva
tadbhāvanaṃ tṛtīyamiti | manormantrasyārthānanusaṃdadhānasya
vidyāyā arṇānāmakṣarāṇāmaṣṭapañcāśato madhya
ādyakūṭadvitayabindvādinavakadvayaprahāṇenāva-śiṣṭānāṃ
catvāriṃśato'kṣarāṇāmuccāraṇaṃ japo japapadavācyamityarthaḥ || 52 ||
bhāskararāyeṇa goroḥ karuṇāvaśataḥ samunmiṣite |
varivasyātirahasye pūrvāṃśaḥ pūrṇatāmagamat || 53 ||

puruṣārthānicchadbhiḥ puruṣairarthāḥ parijñeyāḥ |
arthānādarabhājāṃ naivārthaḥ pratyutānarthaḥ || 56 ||

te cārthāstantropaniṣadgranthabhedena nānāvidhāḥ śivenoktāḥ
| tāṃśca saṃjighṛkṣuruddiśati-

bhāvārthaḥ saṃpradāyārtho nigarbhārthasturīyakaḥ || 57 ||
kaulikārtho rahasyārtho mahātattvārtha eva ca |
nāmārthaḥ śabdarūpārthaścārtho nāmaikadeśagaḥ || 58 ||
śaktārthaḥ sāmarasyārthaḥ samastasaguṇārthakau |
mahāvākyārtha ityarthāḥ pañcadaśyāḥ svasaṃmitāḥ || 59 ||
athānantaram, ata uktarītyā arthajñānasyāvaśyikatvāt, arthāḥ
kathyanta iti śeṣaḥ | pūrṇagāyatryāścaturthacaraṇasahitāyāḥ | sva
ātmīyā varṇāḥ, taiḥ saṃmitāḥ, tatsaṃkhyāsamānasaṃkhyākāḥ |
pañcadaśeti yāvat | atha vā, saṃpradāyārthaprakaraṇe
kādividyāyāṃ saptatriṃśadvarṇāḥ sphuṭīkariṣyante, tatsaṃmitā
arthā ityarthaḥ || 57-59 ||
tripuropaniṣadi pratipāditaṃ gāyatryarthamāha-
kāmayate sa kakāraḥ kāmo brahmaiva tatpadasyārthaḥ |
saviturvareṇyamiti vai savituḥ śreṣṭhaṃ dvitīyavarṇārthaḥ || 60 ||

sarvāntaryāmi dadhadbhargo devasya dhīti turyārthaḥ |
pṛthvī mahī lakārastṛtīyaturyāṅghribodhikā māyā || 61 ||
oṃ tat saditi nirdeśo brahmaṇastrividhaḥ smṛtaḥ iti smṛteḥ, taditi
brahma śāśvatam iti śruteśca tatpadārtho brahma | tadeva ca
kakārārthaḥ kaṃ brahma iti śruteḥ | kāmayata ityartho vā |
kamerauṇādiko ḍaḥ |
kāmayate kāmī jāyate sa eva nirañjano'kāmatvenojjṛmbhate �
kāmo'bhidhīyate, tatparibhāvayā kāmaḥ kakāraṃ vyāpnoti iti
śruteḥ | kāmeśvara iti śruteḥ | kāmeśvara iti tu paryavasitam | savituriti
tu pratyayāntam purā vatsānāmapākartoḥ ityādi
kalpasūtrīyaprayogavat | prāṇiprasavakāraṇam | yoniriti yāvat | tacca
nānyasādharaṇamityato vareṇyamiti śreṣṭhaṃ bhajanīyamityarthaḥ |
tena padadvayenāpi jagadyonitvaṃ labdham | tena ca kāmeśvarītyarthaḥ |
sa eva cārtha ekārasya, tasya trikoṇatvāt | tathā ca śrutiḥ-
saviturvareṇyamiti ṣūñ prāṇiprasave, savitā prāṇinaḥ sūte
ityupakramya trikoṇā śaktikāreṇa mahābhagena prasūte tasmādekāra
eva gṛhyate ityādi |
yadekādaśamādhāraṃ bījaṃ koṇatrayātmakam |
brahmāṇḍādi kaṭāhāntaṃ jagadadyāpi dṛśyate ||
iti vāmakeśvaratantre spaṣṭaṃ dṛśyate | sarveti | sarvāntaryāmitvaṃ
devapadasyārthaḥ, devo madhyavartī iti śruteḥ | sorṅas | dhatta iti dhīḥ |
dadhat | jagadādhāra ityarthaḥ, dharo dhītyevaṃ dhāryate iti śruteḥ |
bharga iti spaṣṭārthaḥ | sarvāntaryāmī sarvādhāraḥ śiva iti
paryavasitam | īkārasyāpyetāvānarthaḥ | bhargo devasya
ityādyupakramya turīyamakṣaraṃ sarvāntarbhūtam | turīyākṣaraṃ
padānāṃ madhyavartitvena vyākhyātam tasmādbhargo devasya
dhītyevamīkāraḥ iti śruteḥ | turyārthaḥ, mantre tu tṛtīyasyāpi
mātṛkākrame turīyatvādīkārasyārtha ityarthaḥ | mahī pṛthvī
mahattvāt kāṭhinyācca | pañcamahābhūtānāmupalakṣaṇametat |
mṛdghaṭaḥ iti vadekavibhaktimattvarūpasāmānādhikaraṇyasya
tadātmanā pariṇatatvamarthaḥ | ayameva ca pṛthivībījasya
lakārasyārthaḥ, mahītyasya vyākhyānamupakramya sasāgaraṃ
saparvatam ityādinā bhūmaṇḍalaṃ

pratipādya bhūmaṇḍalamevoktaṃ lakāreṇa iti śruteḥ | tṛtīyeti
gāyatryāstṛtīyo'ṅghriḥ dhiyo yo naḥ pracodayāt iti | asmadādīnāṃ
dhiyo dhyānādirahite vastuni niṣprapañce viṣaye prerayatītyarthaḥ |
paratattvaviṣayakajñānajanaka iti yāvat | turīyāṅghriḥ parorajase
sāvadom iti | rajasaḥ paraṃ pare rajase | soḥ śe ityādeśaḥ | raje'tītam |
nirmalamiti nirguṇamiti vārthaḥ, rajaḥśabdasya dhūlīvācakatvad
guṇatrayopalakṣakatvasaṃbhavāt | triguṇātītamiti yāvat | na punaḥ para
ityatra bhinnapadatvabhramaḥ kāryaḥ, subrahmaṇyānigade parorajāste
pañcamaḥ pādaḥ iti prayogāt | sāvadomityasya savado'vadaśca yaḥ
praṇavaḥ | vaktuṃ śakyo vaktumaśakyaścetyarthaḥ | śabdaiḥ
śaktimaryādayā na bodhyaḥ, śakyatāvacchedakadharmamātrasya
paratattve virahāt | lakṣaṇayā tu bodhyaḥ, satyajñānādipadaśakya-
viśiṣṭatādātmyasaṃbandhaśālitvāt | yato vāco nivartante iti śruteḥ,
vedaiśca sarvairahameva vedyaḥ, lakṣyārthā lakṣaṇāgamyā
ityādismṛteśca | praṇavārthaḥ
paratattvamakārokāramakārairbrahmaviṣṇurudrātmakam |
etāvānapyartho hṛllekhāyāḥ | hṛkārasya hṛdayamarthaḥ | tatra ī
gatetyarthaḥ | iṭakiṭakaṭī gatau ityatra praśliṣṭo'yaṃ dhātuḥ | ata eva
hṛdayāgāravāsinī hṛllekhā iti śrutiḥ | evaṃ cāyamartho gāyatryāḥ
prathamakūṭasya ca saṃpannaḥ-sarvajagatsisṛkṣārūpakāmanāvān
kāmeśvaraḥ, jagatkāraṇarūpā kāmeśvarī, śivaḥ sarvāntaryāmī
sarvādhāraḥ pañcamahābhūtādyātmanā pariṇataḥ
paravastumātraviṣayakanirvikalpakajñānajanako nirañjano nirguṇo
vedairlakṣaṇayā gamyaḥ śaktyā tvagamyo brahmaviṣṇurudrātmā
paratattvamiti || 60, 61 ||
dvitīyatṛtīyakūṭayorarthamāha-
tripadī trivarṇabodhyā turyastadupariṣaḍakṣarīgamakaḥ |
atha tārtīye varṇadvitayaṃ tripadīṣaḍakṣarīgamakam || 62 ||
kūṭadvitaye śeṣaṃ pūrvavadunneyamiti tu vidyāyāḥ |
gāyatryarthastripuropaniṣadi kathitastathaiva bhāgavate || 63 ||
tripadī gāyatrīstaṃ padatrayaṃ
vidyādvitīyakūṭasthavarṇatrayeṇa bodhyam | tryavayavakā
varṇāstrivarṇāḥ | triguṇasacivaḥ, navarasarucirām, ityādivat samāsaḥ
| tatpadārtho brahmaśivavācihakārasyārthaḥ, taditi paramātmā

ityārabhya hakārākṣaraṃ śivarūpam ityādyuktvānte
tatpadavyāvṛttimādāya śaktiṃ darśayati iti śruteḥ | sakārasya savitā
arthaḥ | kakārasya vareṇyamarthaḥ | turyo hakārastadupari padatrayopari
vidyamānā yā ṣaḍakṣarī bhargo devasya dhī iti tadarthabodhakaḥ |
tṛtīyakūṭe varṇadvitayaṃ saketi |
tābhyāṃ dhītyantagāyatryā arthaḥ pratipādyaḥ | ubhayatrāpi
lakārahṛllekhābhyāṃ pañcamahābhūtādyātmanetyādirartha
ityāha-kūṭadvitaya iti | evaṃ catuścaraṇāyā gāyatryāstrirāvṛttāyā
arthasya pratipādakaṃ kūṭatritayamiti | bhāgavata iti | bhagavatyā idaṃ
bhāgavatam, tatra bhagavatīpurāṇa ityarthaḥ | tasya hi purāṇasyādimaḥ
ślokastricaraṇaḥ paṭhyate | yathā-
sarvacaitanyarūpāṃ tāmādyāṃ vidyāṃ ca dhīmahi |
buddhiṃ yā naḥ pracodayāt |
iti | atra hyādyāyāḥ śrīvidyāyā eva brahmarūpatva
gāyatryādipratipādyatvaṃ vidyāpratipādyatvādikaṃ ca
tadarthavyākhyānadarśināṃ spaṣṭam | vastutastu
hayagrīvabrahmavidyā yatra vṛtravadhastathā |
gāyatryā ca samārambhastadvai bhāgavataṃ viduḥ ||
iti lakṣaṇānugatyedameva bhāgavatapadavācyam, na punaḥ janmādyasya yato'nvayāt ityādikam || 62, 63 ||
atha yoginīhṛdaye kathitān bhāvārthādīn ṣaḍarthānāha-
vāmecche brahmabhāratyau jyeṣṭhājñāne harikṣitī |
raudrīkriye śivāparṇe ityetanmithunatrayam || 64 ||
tribhiḥ kūṭaiḥ kramādvācyamīkāratritayena tu |
etattrayasamaṣṭyātma vācyaṃ śāntambikātmakam || 65 ||
prakāśasyāṃśabhūtā vāmājyeṣṭhāraudryaḥ śaktayastisro
brahmaviṣṇurudrāḥ puṃrūpāḥ | tatsamaṣṭiḥ śāntātmikā
śaktisturīyā | vimarśasyāṃśabhūtā icchājñānākriyāḥ
śaktayastisrastadbhāryātvena prasiddhā bhāratīpṛthivīrudrāṇyaḥ
strīrūpāḥ | tatsamaṣṭirambikātmikā śaktisturīyā | atra ca

prathamamithunatrayamīkāravinirmuktakūṭatrayasya krameṇārthaḥ |
īkārāṇāṃ tu tūrīyāmithunamarthaḥ | vakṣyamāṇe śāktārthe
tvekaikasminnapi kūṭe rephāntavarṇaṣaṭkasyāpi mithunatrayamartha iti
tasmādbhedaḥ | taduktaṃ yoginīhṛdaye-
akṣarārtho hi bhāvārthaḥ kevalaḥ parameśvarī |
yoginībhistathā vīrairvīrendraiḥ sarvadā priye |
śivaśaktisamāyogājjanito mantrarājakaḥ ||
iti | vyākhyātaṃ cedamamṛtānandayogibhiḥ-
māratyādibhiryoginībhirbrahmādibhirvīrendraiḥ
kūṭatrayavācyabhūtaiḥ
śivaśaktisamaṣṭirūpamithunenekāravācyabhūtena copalakṣito
mantrarājo virairjanito bhāvita ityarthaḥ iti | vastutastu,
sakalādināmakāstrividhā upāsakā vakṣyamāṇā vīrapadenocyante,
ahami pralayaṃ kurvannidamaḥ pratiyoginaḥ |
parākramaparo bhuṅkte svātmānamaśivāpaham ||
ityādinā parāpañcāśikāyāmanyatra ca vīrapadasya
sādhakaparatvenaiva nirvacanāt | ata eva
brahmādīnāmupāsakaśreṣṭhatvādvīrendrapadavācyatvaṃ
saṃgacchate | eva ca sati tisro bhāratyādyā yoginyastrayaḥ sakalādyāḥ
sādhakāstrayo brahmādyā vīrendrāḥ kūṭatrayeṇa
hṛllekhāvinirmuktena kramāt pratipādyāḥ | hṛllekhānāṃ tu
śivaśaktisāmarasyātmakaṃ caturthaṃ mithunamarthaḥ, hrīṃkāra
ubhayātmakaḥ iti vacanāt | vācyabhūtairyoginyādibhirjanito yukto
mantra ityarthaḥ || 64, 65 ||
etamevārthaṃ manasi nidhāyāha-
yadvā gīḥsakalabrahmaprabhṛtīnāṃ trayaṃ trayam |
trikūṭavācyaṃ māyāyāsturīyaṃ mithunaṃ matam || 66 ||
atha vā, vīrapadaṃ yoginīnāmeva viśeṣaṇamatalliṅgam | ata eva
brahmādīnāṃ vīrapativācakavīrendrapadena nirdeśaḥ |
yoginīvīrendrapadābhyāṃ ca śāktārthe vakṣyamāṇānāṃ
ṣaṇṇāmakṣarāṇāṃ brahmabhāratyādivācakānāṃ parāmarśaḥ |

śivaśaktisamāyogapadena kāmakalāyāḥ parāmarśaḥ,
tasyāmubhayayogasyānupadaṃ
vakṣyamāṇatvāt | evaṃ saptabhirakṣaraistrirāvṛttairmantrarājo janitaḥ
prādurbhūta ityarthaḥ | etatsaptakapariṇāmatvānmantro'pi tadātmakaḥ
prasāraparamārthanyāyāditi bhāvaḥ | na ca
mantrasyotpattyaṅgīkāre'nāditvabhaṅgaḥ, nirviśeṣabrahmātiriktasya
nikhilasyāpi sṛṣṭipratipādakaśāstraprāmāṇyājjanyatvasyeṣṭatvena
saviśeṣaśaktivadajanyatvarūpānāditvasyānabhimatatvāt |
pravāhānāditvaṃ tu janyatvāṅgīkāre'pi nānupapannam,
kāryamātrasya sthūlasūkṣmarūpadvayasvīkāreṇotpatteḥ pūrvamapi
kāraṇāntaḥ sūkṣmarūpeṇāvasthānasya
satkāryavādibhirasmābhiraṅgīkāreṇānāditvapratipādaka-
vacanānāṃ tatparatvenāpyupapatteḥ | prathamapakṣadvaye tu
janitapadāderartho na svarasaḥ | ata evottaragranthe
bhāratyādisaptakasamaṣṭirūpāyāḥ paradevatāyā
mantrābhedapratipādanaṃ saṃgacchate,
vācakākṣarasamaṣṭyātmakamantrasya
vācyārthasamaṣṭyātmakaparadevatābhedasya
vācyavācakayorabhedavādināmasmākaṃ nyāyasiddhatvena
saṃdarbhaśuddheḥ | yathā-
tanmayīṃ paramānandananditāṃ spandarūpiṇīm |
nisargasundarīṃ devīṃ jñātvā svairamupāsate ||
śivaśaktyātmasaṃghaṭṭarūpe brahmaṇi śāśvate |
tatprathāprasarāśleṣaśālinyaindropalakṣite ||
jñāturjñānamayākārakaraṇānmantrarūpiṇīm |
teṣāṃ samaṣṭirūpeṇa parā śaktistu mātṛkā ||
iti | tanmayīṃ mantrarājābhinnām | ānandamayaḥ cinmayaḥ
itivadabhede mayaṭ | anye tu turīyakūṭasyārthamāha-tanmayīmiti |
caturmithunavācakatribījasamaṣṭirūpamantravācyāmityarthaḥ iti
vyācakṣate | tannātīva saṃdarbhaśuddhaṃ vācyārthe
mayaḍabhāvaścetyupekṣyam | spandaḥ ṣaṭtriṃśattattvātmanā
pariṇāmaḥ, tadrūpiṇīṃ tadabhinnām | etena devatābhinnaviśvasyāpi
mantrābhedaḥ
sūcitaḥ | avyākṛtanāmarūpaprapañcasyotpattyunmukhataiva

spandonmeṣavyākaraṇādiśabdairvyavahriyate nānyat kiṃcana miṣat,
nāmarūpe vyākaravāṇi, na khalu kuśalaḥ spanditumapi ityādau |
tenāvyākṛtanāmarūpajagata eva spanda iti prāyeṇa tantreṣu
vyavahāraḥ | itthaṃ mantradevatājagatāmabhedamanusaṃdadhāno
mantraṃ japediti vidhatte-svairamupāsata iti | pañcamo'yaṃ lakāro
liṅarthe | mukhaṃ vyādāya svapiti itivat samānakālikatve'pi jñātvā
ityatraktvāpratyayaḥ | evaṃ devatāyāṃ mantrābhedaṃ yuktibhiḥ pratipādya mantrapadasyāvayavaśaktirapi samastīti pradarśayati-
śivetyādisārdhaślokena | śivaśaktyātmano saṃghaṭṭaḥ sāmarasyaṃ
tadrūpe | śāśvate'nādinidhane | tasya prathāyāḥ pṛthutvena prasaro
jagadrūpaḥ, tadāśleṣaśālinyapyaindreṇa jagadaiśvaryeṇa
kākenevopalakṣite, na tu viśiṣṭe | viṣayatva saptamyarthaḥ | tathā ca
satyatvajñānatvādyupalakṣitaśuddhabrahmaika-
viṣayakanirvikalpakajñānavataḥ sādhakapuṃgavasya jñānamayaḥ
svasaṃvidrūpo brahmabhāvo ya
ākārastatkaraṇānmantāramuktajñānarūpamananaśālinaṃ trāyate
bhayajanakadvitīyapadārthamātranirāsāditi mantrapadāvayavārthaḥ |
tadrūpiṇīmiti vidhyantargatadevīpadasya viśeṣaṇam | mantra iti padasya
devyāmanugatimupapādya tatpadārthabhūtaṃ pañcadaśyabhinnatvaṃ
saṃmugdhākāreṇa pratijñātapūrvamapi hetunā draḍhayati-teṣāmiti |
tuśabdo'tra hetvarthakaḥ | yato bhāratyādīnāṃ
samaṣṭirūpeṇopalakṣitā mātā, tatastasyāṃ
tadvācakākṣarasamaṣṭyātmakavidyābheda upapadyata iti bhāvaḥ | atha
vā, mantrapadasyāvayavaśaktyā pravṛttimupapādya
samudāyaśaktyāpi tāmupapādayituṃ
mantrarājapadaśakyatāvacchedakaṃ bhāratyādisaptakasamaṣṭitvaṃ(?)
paradevatāyāmāha-teṣāmiti | samaṣṭīti bhāvapradhāno nirdeśaḥ |
samaṣṭitvena śakyatāvacchedakarūpeṇa yuktā yataḥ paradevatā, tato
rūḍhyāpi mantrarājapadavācyatvaṃ yuktam | tena ca tayorabhedo'pi
yujyata iti bhāvaḥ || 66 ||
amumevārthaṃ suniṣkṛṣṭaṃ ślokato nibadhnāti-
vāmecchādyāḥ ṣaḍīkāra iti saptabhirakṣaraiḥ |
trirāvṛttairiyaṃ vidyā saṃjātā tena tanmayī || 67 ||
vāmādisaptaśaktīnāṃ samaṣṭiḥ paradevatā |
ṣaṭtriṃśattattvarūpāsmānmātrayāpi na bhidyate || 68 ||

asmāt tanmātrāt, mātrayāpi leśenāpi na bhidyate | mantre
tṛtīyavarṇasya jyeṣṭhāśaktivācakatvena
vāmādiṣaṭkāntaḥpātitvenāvaśiṣṭānāṃ hṛllekhāsthānāmeva
kāmakalānāmīkārapadena parāmarśānna trirāvṛttairiti
saṃkhyāvirodhaḥ | na ca śaktārthena paunaruktyam, tatra
vāmādiṣaṭkaṃ kāmakalāyā abhinnamiti vākyārthaḥ, atra tu
vāmādikāmakalāntasaptakābhinno mantraḥ
ṣaṭtriṃśattattvābhinnamātrabhinna ityartha iti mahato bhedāt | atha vā,
śivaśaktisamāyogarūpasamaṣṭijanyatvānmantrarājaḥ spandaśca
tadvyaṣṭirūpau śivaśaktimayau | tena jaganmantradevīnāmabheda iti
bhāvanaṃ bhāvārthaḥ | ata evopasaṃhṛtaṃ yoginīhṛdaye-

dharmādharmasya vācyasya viṣāmṛtamayasya ca |
vācakākṣarasaṃyukteḥ kathitā viśvarūpiṇī

kūṭatrayātmikāṃ devīṃ samaṣṭivyaṣṭirūpiṇīm |
ādyāṃ śaktiṃ bhāvayanto bhāvārtha iti manvate |
iti | parāhaṃtetyādibhāvārthakatvatalādivācyatvāddharmaḥ śaktiḥ |
nirdharmakatvādadharmaḥ śivaḥ | spandajananaṃ prati
śaktibahirbhūtasya
śivasyākṣamatvādanvayavyatirekayorācāryabhagavatpādaiḥ
saundaryalaharyāṃ prathamaśloke tathaiva tadvyākhyānakartṛbhiśca
pradarśitatvācca śakteḥ kāraṇatāvaccedakatvaṃ kāraṇatvaṃ
bhavacakrātmakaspandaṃ prati svīkāryam | tena
jananamaraṇādikleśamayasaṃsārajanakatvādviṣaṃ śaktiḥ |
tadvinirmokādamṛtaṃ śivaḥ | tadubhayasya vācyasya vācake ye akṣare
vakṣyamāṇarītyā hakārākārarūpe, tābhyāṃ vyastābhyāṃ
tadubhayasamāveśarūpakāmakalākṣareṇa cāsya calattāsaṃsthitasya
naśvaratāyuktasya jagataḥ, prakṛtatvānmantrarājasya ca
samyakpariṇāmapariṇāmibhāvena yukteḥ saṃbandhādeṣāṃ vidyā
viśvarūpiṇī kathitā, ekākāreṇotpannayorabhedāditi
śivaśaktisāmarasyarūpasya parāśaktijagadambādipadavācyasya
kāraṇasya kāryābhyāṃ viśvavidyābhyāmabhedaṃ
sūcayaṃstrayāṇāmabhedamupasaṃharati teṣāmityādineti tadarthaḥ |
asmin pakṣe yoginyādibhirbhāvita iti śeṣapūraṇenopakramaślokārtho

varṇanīyaḥ | bhāvārthasvarūpaṃ tu
śivaśaktisamāyogajanyatvādikamātra, na punaryoginyāderjanakakoṭau
niveśaḥ | akṣarārthatvaṃ ca tādṛśākṣaradvayajanyatvādeveti dik |
atredamavadheyam- iyaṃ sṛṣṭiḥ parabrahmapariṇāma iti pūrvamuktam,
sā ca sṛṣṭirdvedhā, arthamayī śabdamayī ceti | cakramayī dehamayī
ceti sṛṣṭidvayaṃ tu bālakrīḍanakārthe sthūlagṛhasamānākāratvena
sūkṣmagṛhanirmāṇatulyamarthasṛṣṭāvevāntargatam, na
punaratyantaṃ bhidyate | sā ca dvividhāpi sṛṣṭiḥ samakālīnotpattikā
samakālīnābhivṛddhi śālinī ca,
yathā bījādaṅkuratacchāye | tatra ca cchāyādarśanena
vṛkṣānumitiranubhavasiddhā | sā ca cchāyāyāṃ
vṛkṣasamānākāratvaṃ vṛkṣāvinābhāvaṃ ca vinā anupapanneti
taddvayamapi tatra kalpyam | pratyakṣasaṃvādaviṣayaśca tadvacchabdaḥ
sarvo'pyarthāvinābhūtaḥ, arthajñānajanakajñānaviṣayatvāt
vāgarthāviva saṃpṛktau ityādyabhiyuktokteśca |
tathārthasamānākāro'pi | tathā hi-yāvantaḥ śabde'vayavāstāvanta
evārthe tajjñāne cābhyupeyāḥ | caitrastaṇḍulaṃ pacati ityatra
caitrapadaṃ supratyayastaṇḍulapadamampratyayaḥ
pacidhātustippratyayaśceti ṣaḍavayavātmakasya śabdasamūhasya
caitraḥ kartṛtvaṃ taṇḍulaḥ karmatvaṃ tejaḥ saṃyogaḥ kṛtiśceti
viśakalitāḥ ṣaḍarthāḥ | teṣāṃ ca parasparasamabhivyāhārasya tu
parasparasaṃbandhaviśeṣo'rthaḥ | tattatpadārthaviśiṣṭā bhāvanaiva
vākyārtha iti mīmāṃsakāḥ | tattaditaravyāvṛttirvākyārtha ityapi
kecit | evaṃ tajjñānamapi ṣaṭ padārthāṃstatsaṃbandhādīṃśca
viṣayīkurvat tatsamānākāraṃ bhavati, anyathā jñānānāṃ
parasparavailakṣaṇyānupapatteḥ | antaḥkaraṇapariṇāmaviśeṣarūpe
jñāne tattadākāratvena pariṇatatvakalpanasaṃbhavācca | ata eva
caitrastaṇḍulaṃ pacatītyākārakaṃ jñānam ityevaṃ
sakalatāntrikāṇāṃ nirākāravādināmapi vyavahāraḥ | anayoḥ
sṛṣṭyorjñānajanakaṃ tu mana eva | tacca śabda śrotrendriyadvāraiva
gṛhṇāti, arthaṃ tu kaṃcana sākṣāt kaṃcana cakṣurādidvāreti
viśeṣaḥ | te ca dve api sṛṣṭī
sthūlasūkṣmasūkṣmatarasūkṣmatamabhedāt prātisvikaṃ caturvidhe |
śrotramanasostvarthāntaḥpātitvādeva cāturvidhyam | evaṃ ca
sthūlaśrotraṇa sthūlaśabdaśravaṇāt sthūlārthasya sthūlamanasā
jñānam, sūkṣmaśrotreṇa sukṣmaśabdaśravaṇāt sūkṣmārthasya
sūkṣmamanasā jñānamityādi draṣṭavyam | śrotramanasoḥ

sūkṣmatvādikaṃ tu śāstrābhyāsayogābhyāsādipāṭavajanyam |
tadetadyogaśāstre nirvicāravaiśāradye'dhyātmaprasādaḥ iti sūtre
ṛtabharā tatra prajñā iti sūtre ca spaṣṭam | ata eva śrutiḥ-
catvāri vākparimitā padāni tāni vidurbrāhmaṇā ye manīṣiṇaḥ |
guhā trīṇi nihitā neṅgayanti turīyaṃ vāco manuṣyā vadanti ||
iti teṣāṃ ca nāmāni vaikharī madhyamā paśyantī pareti | śrutau
turīyapadasya vaikharyarthaḥ, sṛṣṭikramasyaiva tatra bhipretatvāt |
etacchabdacatuṣṭayavācyā apyarthāstathā tathonneyāḥ | tathā hi-
masakādyavayavendriyaprāṇadaśakaśālitvaṃ sthūlajagadādivyaktau
tathā sadyojātaśiśāvapi pipīlikādāvapītyavivādam | iyāṃstu
viśeṣaḥ sthūlā avayavāḥ sthūle, alpāsvalpe | evaṃ ca
vaikharīrūpaghaṭapadavācyāpekṣayā
madhyamādirūpaghaṭapadairvācyā ghaṭā yuktibhirunnayāḥ | te ca
padārthāḥ saṃkocamañcantaḥ kecidaspaṣṭanikhilāvayavakāḥ kecittu
saṃkucajjalūkākamaṭhādivadaspaṣṭakiṃcidavayavakā
apyavayavanyūnādhikabhāvena parimāṇabhede'pi dravyābhedasya
mīmāṃsakādibhiraṅgīkārāditi yathāyathamūhitavyam | eteṣāṃ
caturṇāṃ vācakānāṃ caturbhyo vācyebhyo bhedā api catvāraḥ
kalpitāḥ sthūlādirītyā caturvidhā jñeyāḥ | sṛṣṭicatuṣṭayasyāpi
mūlabhūto bindurbījasthānāpannaḥ | tasmādapi paratastu
sūkṣmatamāpekṣayā sūkṣmatamamapi viśiṣya
tadvācakatvādabhinnaśabdārtharūpaṃ
śabdabrahmatyādipadanirdeśyaṃ paraṃ brahmaiva | tacca
prakāśaikākārasyārthādatyantabhinnasya śabdabrahmāya
dipadanirdeśaviśeṣasyābhāvāt anirdeśyam, agrāhyam, aśabdam
asparśam ityādiniṣiddhaviśeṣaṇam | vastutaḥ
sṛṣṭidyamūlabhūtasūkṣmarūpaviśekatmakatvādabhinna-
śabdārtharūpaṃ śabdabrahmetyādipadanirdeśyaṃ paraṃ brahmava |
tacca prakāśaikasvarūpam, ghaṭaḥ sphurati, paṭaḥ sphurati
ityādipratyayena padārthamātre sphuraṇākhyavastuviśeṣasya
tattadabhīnnasyānubhavasiddhātvāt | prakāśasyāpi
sphuraṇamavaśyaṃ vācyam, prakāśaḥ sphurati iti pratyayāt | tacca
sphuraṇaṃ śaktirityucyate | prakāśasphuraṇayośca militayoreva
jagatkāraṇatvam, anyataramātrasya
janakatvānupapatteḥ kāmakalāvilāsavyākhyāyāṃ

sphuṭataramupapādanāt | tena śuddhasya śivasya śuddhāyāḥ
śaktervā jagatkāraṇatvaṃ tatra tatrocyamānaṃ
śivaśaktirūpasyobhayātmana eva bodhyam | tatra
prakāśastvakārasvarūpastadvācyaśca | sphurattā tu hakārarūpā
tadvācyā ca | tāvetāvakārahakārau parārūpau sūkṣmatamau
prāguktau | parādisṛṣṭimūlabhūtasya bījasthānīyasya binduviśeṣasya
tuvyaktāvyaktavilakṣaṇau vācakau | tasyāpi janakasya parabrahmaṇastu
kevalamavyaktāveva śūnyasvarūpau vācakau | tayoḥ śūnyasvarūpātvādeva yato vāco nivartante
ityādiśrutibhiravācyatoktiḥ, vāca iti bahuvacanena
parādicatuṣṭayasyaiva parāmarśāt | tathā ca smaryate-
ahamityekamadvaitaṃ yatprakāśātmavibhramaḥ |
akāraḥ sarvavarṇāgryaḥ prakāśaḥ paramaḥ śivaḥ ||
hakāro'ntyaḥ kalārūpo vimarśākhyaḥ prakīrtitaḥ |
anayoḥ sāmarasyaṃ yat parasminnahami sphuṭam ||
iti | akṣarāṇāmakāro'smi iti gītāsu |
śūnyākārādvisargāntādbindupraspandasaṃvidaḥ iti yoginīhṛdaye ca
| śūnyākāraḥ śūnyamātrasvarūpo yo visargāntaḥ
ṣoḍaśasvarāntyastasmādbinduviśeṣa utpanna iti tadarthaḥ | visargasyāvyaktahakāratulyatvenākārasyāpi tatra sattvena
ṣoḍaśasvarakīrtanaṃ prakṛtam | tenākārahakārāveva śūnyākārau
kīrtitau veditavyau | ata eva śūnyaścāsāvakāraśceti
kecidvvyākhyāya visargo hakāraḥ sa evānte yasyeti
vigrahapradarśanapūrvakaṃ hakāraviśiṣṭādakārāditi vyācakṣate |
tanmate hakāre śūnyatvalābho durghaṭaḥ | atrāyaṃ sṛṣṭikramaḥ-
yathā hi kaścit puruṣa
utpatsyamānaputrādyadṛṣṭavaśādutpādanecchāviśiṣṭaḥ
svīyāmutpādanaśaktimavalokya svārdhaśarīrātmikāyāṃ
bharyāyāṃ svayamantaḥ praviśati śuklarūpeṇa, patimekādaśaṃ
kṛdhi, ātmā vai putranāmāsi iti śruteḥ | praveśyamānasya
svabhinnatvāt sthūlatarabhedākrāntatvācca nābhedabhānam |
tatastasya śuklasyāntaḥ śoṇitabindurūpeṇa bhāryā praviśati | tena ca
sa bindurucchūno bhavati | sa eṣa vaṭodumbarādibīja-sthānīyaḥ |
tasmādaṅkuraviśeṣādyutpattikrameṇa kālāntare putrādyutpattiriti |
yathā vā sūryābhimukhadarpaṇe
tadantaḥpraviṣṭakiraṇādubhayakiraṇasaṃkalanarūpastejo-

binduviśeṣaḥ kuḍyādau prādurbhavati, tathā prāṇyadṛṣṭavaśāt
svāntaḥ saṃhṛtaviśvasisṛkṣayā prakāśarūpaṃ brahma svīyāṃ
śaktimavalokayituṃ tadabhimukhībhūya tadantastejorūpeṇa praviśya
śuklabindubhāvamayate | tatastaṃ binduṃ raktarūpā śaktiḥ praviśati |
tena saṃmiśrabindurucchūno bhavati | tatra ca hārdakalārūpo'pyekaḥ
padārthaviśeṣo bhavati | sa punargurumukhādevāvagantavyaḥ, na punaḥ
pustake lekhyaḥ | sa ca binduḥ samaṣṭirūpeṇaikaḥ
sphuṭaśivaśaktisāmarasyanāmā kāmo raviragnīṣomātmakaḥ
ityādiśabdairvyavahriyate | vyaṣṭirūpeṇa dvayam | tatra śukla indū
rakto'gniriti bindudvayātmakatvādvisarga iti ca vyavahriyate | ata eva ca
rave rātrāvagnāvamāvāsyāyāṃ candre ca praveśasya
śrutyādisiddhatvāt samaṣṭibindo ravitvam | evaṃ ca kāmākhyo
bindurvisargo hārdakalā ceti tryavayavaka ekaḥ
pradārtho'ṇādipratyāhāravat kāmakaletyucyate | idameva ca
samastasṛṣṭibījam | ata evākārahakārayormadhye sarvavarṇapāṭhaḥ |
lakārasya lakārādabhinnatvāt, kṣakārasya kaṣayogarūpatvānna
tadbahirbhāvaḥ śaṅkyaḥ | etanmūlabhūta brahma tu
turīyabindurityucyate | tadrūpābhyāṃ śūnyasvarūpābhyāma
kārahahārābhyāmutpannā kāmakalā vyaktāvyaktavilakṣaṇā
ahaṃpadavācyā | akārahakārobhayātmakatvaṃ
śivaśaktidvayarūpatvaṃ cāhaṃpadasya niṣkṛṣṭo'rthaḥ |
ata eva tajjanyānāṃ sūkṣmādisthūlāntānāmakhila-
sṛṣṭīnāmahaṃpadavācyatvam | yathā
hyudumbarapadavācyabījājjanitānāṃ parasparavilakṣaṇānāmapi
parṇakāṣṭhakusumaphalakrimīṇāṃ sarveṣāmudumbaratvam,
udumbaraparṇam, udumbarakrimiḥ ityādi vyavahārāt | tathā ca
śrutayaḥ-brahma vā idamagra āsīt tadātmānamevāvedahaṃ
brahmāsmīti iti bṛhadāraṇyake tvaṃ vā ahamahaṃ vai tvam
ityaitareyake kastvamityahamiti hovāca tvamevedaṃ sarvaṃ
tasmādahamiti sarvābhidhānam iti tāpanīye |
pāṇinināpyasmacchabdasya sarvanāmatoktā | tatraivānyatra tadvā
etadbrahmādvayam ityādinā brahmasvarūpamabhidhāya tadupāsanāṃ
pūrṇāhaṃbhāvabhāvanārūpāṃ vispaṣṭam haṃsaḥ so'ham
ityādinā vidadhāti | tatprakārastvatirahasyatvād gurucaraṇaikalabhyaḥ |
uktaṃ ca kādimate-
bandhanaṃ yonimudrāyā mantrāṇāṃ vīryayojanam |

gurorlakṣaṇametāvadādimāntyaṃ tu vedayet ||
iti | ādimo'kāraḥ, antyo hakāraḥ, tayoḥ samāhāraḥ aham
bindulābhāyaivetaretarayogadvandvaparityāgena samāhāradvandvoktiḥ
| chāndogye'pi ahamevādhastādahamupariṣṭādahaṃ paścādahaṃ
purastādahaṃ dakṣiṇato'hamuttarato'hamevedaṃ sarvam iti |
virūpākṣapañcāśikāyāmapi-
svaparāvabhāsanakṣama ātmā viśavasya yaḥ prakāśo'sau |
ahamiti sa eka ukto'haṃtāsthitirīdṛśī tasya ||
ityādīni paraḥsahasraṃ vacanāni | etādṛśasyāhaṃpadārthasya
yathā'hamiti padaṃ vācakaṃ tathottamapuruṣaikavacanamapi vācakam
| tasya ca parasmaipadātmanepadabhedena dvaividhye'pi pipa
iṭaścekāratvenānugamāditvamevaśaktatāvacchedakam,
anyāyaścānekaśabdatvam iti nyāyāt | tasya ca
dhātūttaratvenottamapuruṣatvadinā vopasthitiḥ padārthasmārakatve
tantram | erṇalādāvapi luptasya smaraṇam | tadabhāve
śaktibhramādbodha ityādi yathāyathamūhyam | tatra
cākārarahakārayoravayavayoradarśane'pi śāstraprāmāṇyāt
sūkṣmarūpau tau sta iti svīkāryam | tasyaiva ca hārdakalāyoge
dīrghatāpi saṃpadyata iti turīyasvarasya kāmakalārūpatvaṃ
mantrarahasyavidbhiḥ pratipādyate | taduktaṃ yoginīhṛdaye-
madhyabinduvisargāntaḥ samāsthānamaye pare |
kuṭilārūpake tasyāḥ pratirūpaṃ viyatkale ||
iti | madhyabinduḥ kāmākyaḥ, tasya turīyabinduvisargamadhyapātitvāt
samaṣṭervyaṣṭimadhya evāntargatatvācca | visargo vyaṣṭirūpaṃ
bindudvayam, tayorantarmadhye samyakcaitanyātmanāvasthānam |
tanmaye tatpradhāne | pare carame'kārahakārarūpe'kṣare,
mātṛkāṇāṃ krameṇa pāṭhe caramatvāddhakārasya, vyutkrameṇa
pāṭhe tvakārasya caramatvāt | kiṃ ca, ime akṣare kuṭilārūpake | kuṭile
akulakule kuṇḍalinyau tayo rūpāntare | tāvatā kāmavisargayoḥ
kimāyātamityata āha-tasyā iti | tayoḥ kuṇḍalinyorityarthaḥ |
viyatpadena śūnyākāratvāt kāmaḥ pratipādyate | kalāpadena ca
hārdakalāvattvādvisargaḥ | yataḥ kāmavisargayoḥ
kuṇḍalinīpratibimbarūpatvaṃ tataḥ

kuṇḍalinyabhinnākārahakārarūpatvaṃ saṃbhavatīti bhāvaḥ ityasya
ślokasya sāṃpradāyikī rahasyavya khyā |
evamakārahakāraikasvarūpā kāmakalā | tadbhūte mantre
vijātīyākṣaravattvānyathānupapattyāpi tayorgarme
sūkṣmarūpeṇānyeṣāṃ varṇānāmarthasṛṣṭaścāvasthānaṃ
sidhyati yathā vaṭabījarūpasaṃpuṭe parṇakāṣṭhādeḥ | kiṃ ca,
vaṭādibījānāṃ sphoṭenaivāṅkurādyutapattiriti bījasya
pūrvārdhottarārdhayorviyoga ityavivādam | taccārdhadvayaṃ mahati
vṛkṣe kasmin kasmin bhāge'stīti tu durjñeyam |
evaṃ mantre'pi bījāṃśayorakārahakārayoravasthitayoḥ
parijñānāya saṃketabhāṣayoktaṃ yoginīhṛdaye-
madhyaprāṇaprathārūpaspandavyomni sthitā punaḥ |
madhyame mantrapiṇḍe tu tṛtīye piṇḍake punaḥ ||
rāhukūṭādvayasphūrjat ----------------------------
iti asyārthaḥ-kalākāmayormadhyasya visargasya yaḥ prāṇaścaitanyaṃ
tasya prathā pṛthutvena śrūyamāṇatā | sthūlateti yāvat | tadrūpaṃ
yat spandavyoma hakāraḥ, spandata utpadyata iti spandaḥ | spando vyoma
yasmāditi vyutpatteḥ | hakārādvyoma saṃbhūtam ityukteriti kecit |
madhyātmako visargābhinno yaḥ prāṇo hakārastasya prathārūpo yaḥ
spandaḥ | sthūlarūpā sṛṣṭirityarthaḥ | tadrūpaṃ vyoma hakāra
ityartho yuktaḥ, haḥ śivo gaganaṃ prāṇaḥ iti mātṛkākośāt |
madhyama ityasya dviranvyaḥ | tatraikaṃ padaṃ mantrapiṇḍena saha
sāmānādhikaraṇyenānveti, aparaṃ vaiyadhikaraṇyena |
madhyamakūṭasya madhyamavyañjane | dvitīyahakāra ityarthaḥ,
dvitīyageṣu saptasu vyañjaneṣu tasya caturthatvena madhyamatvāt | tatra
sthitā | strīliṅgāchaktirviśeṣyā | tṛtīyakūṭe tu sakāre'kāro
mūlabījīya ityāha-rāhukūṭeti |
laghuṣoḍhānyāsāntargatagrahanyāse rāhoḥ
śaṣasahākhyavarṇacatuṣṭayasahitasya vaktre nyāsaḥ, vaktre
śādicaturvarṇaiḥ sahitaṃ rāhumeva ca iti vacanāt | tena
śādicatuṣkaṃ rāhukūṭam | tatra dvayādbhinno'dvayastṛtīyaḥ
sakāraḥ | tasmin sphūrjacchobhamānam | napuṃsakaliṅgabalād brahma
viśeṣyam | śiva ityarthaḥ | ityalamatirahasyārthaprakāśanena || 67, 68 ||
tadetat sarvamabhisaṃdhāyāha-

ahakārau śivaśaktī śūnyākārau parasparāśliṣṭau |
sphuraṇaprakāśarūpāvupaniṣaduktaṃ paraṃ brahma || 69 ||
viśvasisṛkṣāvaśataḥ svārdhāṃ śaktiṃ vilokayadbrahma |
bindūbhavati taminduṃ praviśati śaktistu raktabindutayā || 70 ||
etat piṇḍadvitayaṃ visargasaṃjñaṃ hakāracaitanyam |
miśrastu tatsamaṣṭiḥ kāmākhyo ravirakāracaitanyam || 71 ||
eṣāhaṃpadaturyasvarakāmakalādiśabdanirdeśyā |
vāgarthasṛṣṭibījaṃ tenāhaṃ tāmayaṃ viśvam || 72 ||
antyaprathame madhyacaturthe mantre'pi tau vyaktau |
tenāmbāmanujagatāmabheda evātra bhāvārthaḥ || 73 ||
atra śivabindoḥ śuklatvāccandrātmakatvādbindu-
vācakatvāccandrapadānāmindupadena bindunirdeśaḥ kṛtaḥ |
bhāvārtha iti | bhāvo janma | bhāvaḥ
sattāsvabhāvābhiprāyaceṣṭātmajanmasu ityamaraḥ | sa evārthaḥ
prayojanaṃ jñeyatvādyatra saḥ, artho jñeyo yatreti vā |
artho'bhidheyaraivastuprayojananivṛttiṣu ityamaraḥ || 69-73 ||
atha saṃpradāyārthamāha-
vyomādijanakahakarasalārṇairghaṭanena pañcabhūtamayī |
pañcacatustridvyekagaśabdādiguṇātmapañcadaśavarṇā || 74 ||
vyomākāśaḥ | ādinā vāyvagnijalabhūmiparigrahaḥ | etatpañcakasya
janakā ye hakarasalārṇā hakārādivarṇāstairghaṭaneneyaṃ vidyā
pañcabhūtamayī pañcabhūtābhinnā uktaṃ ca-
hakārād vyoma saṃbhūtaṃ kakārāttu prabhañjanaḥ |
rephādagniḥ sakārācca jalatattvasya saṃbhavaḥ |
lakārāt pṛthivī jātā tasmādviśvamayī ca sā ||
iti | atra yadyapi prakāśavimarśasāmarasyātmakavastuviśeṣasyaiva
śabdārthasṛṣṭijanakatvamaviśiṣṭaṃ thāpi
prakāśāṃśasyaivārthasṛṣṭau vimarśāṃśasyaiva śabdasṛṣṭau
janakatvam, tayoḥ parasparasāpekṣatvenaiva svasvakāryajanakatvasya
śrutismṛtisiddhatvāt, ekasya svakāryajanakatve'parasya
tatkāraṇatāvacchedakatvamāvaśyikam | evaṃ ca

kāraṇatāvaccedakakāraṇatayorviśeṣaṇaviśeṣyabhāve
vinigamanāviraheṇa dvayorapi prātisvikakāraṇatvasiddhiḥ
tadabhiprāyeṇaiva hi tantreṣvanyatarasyaiva kāraṇatābodhakāni
vacanānīti jñeyam | bhagavatā vyāsenāpi śabda iti cennātaḥ
prabhavāt pratyakṣānumānābhyām iti sūtre jagataḥ śabdāt
prabhavaḥ śrutismṛtibhyāṃ siddha ityuktam tadbhāṣye ca
nipuṇataramupapāditam | evaṃ ca, prathamaṃ vimarśaśaktarhakāra
utpannastataḥ prakāśādvyoma tato vimarśāt kakārastataḥ
prakāśādvāyuḥ tato vimarśādrephastataḥ prakāśādagniḥ tato
vimarśāt sakārastataḥ prakāśājjalam tato vimarśāllakārastataḥ
prakāśāt pṛthivī ityevaṃ krameṇa pañcamahābhūtotpattau
satyāmapi hakāravadvimarśaviśiṣṭaprakāśasyaiva vyoma prati
kāraṇatvāduktarītyā kāraṇatāvacchedakatvasya hakāre
siddhervinigamanāvirahāt kāraṇatvamapi sidhyati | evameva kakārādiṣu
draṣṭavyam | na caivaṃ hakārādervādikaṃ pratyapi kāraṇatvāpattiḥ,
uktarītyā paraṃparayā kāraṇatāyāmavacchedakatvāt, evaṃ
vyomāderapi kakārādikaṃ prati janakatvāpattiriti
na ca vācyam teṣāmanyathāsiddhatvādiṣṭatvādvā | natu vidyāyāṃ
pañcabhūtātmakavarṇapañcakamevāstu kimadhikairvarṇairityata āha-
prañceti | ākāśaḥ pañcavidhaḥ, vāyuścaturvidhaḥ, agnistribhāgaḥ,
jalaṃ dvibhāgam, pṛthivyekavidheti pañcīkaraṇavārtikādau spaṣṭam |
pañcādisaṃkhyākīnāmākāśādīnāṃ guṇāḥ śabdādayo'pi
tādṛśasaṃkhyākāḥ | tena vyomādiṣu pañcasu pañca śabdāḥ,
vāyvādiṣu caturṣu catvāraḥ sparśāḥ, agnyādiṣu triṣu trīṇi rūpāṇi,
jalabhūmyordvau rasau, pṛthivyāmeko gandha ityevaṃ saṃhatya
pañcadaśa guṇā vidyāsthaiḥ pañcadaśabhirvarṇairabhinnā iti
pañcadaśānāṃ varṇānāmupapattiriti bhāvaḥ | atha
pañcadaśabhirguṇaiḥ pañcadaśānāṃ varṇānāmabheda
upādānopādeyabhāvādvācyavācakabhāvāddharmadharmibhāvā-
dvā vācyaḥ | sa ca na saṃbhavati | tathā hi-atra hi
pañcadaśasaṃkhyākatvamacāṃ prādhānyena vyañjanānāṃ
tadbhaktatvena copapādanīyam eṣa vai saptadaśaḥ prajāpatiḥ iti vede,
caturaśchayatāvādyakṣaralopaśca iti pāṇinīyasūtravārtike,
catuḥśatamutkṛtiḥ ityādicchandaḥsūtreṣu ca tathaiva
nirṇītatvādityasyārthasya cchandobhāskare'smābhiḥ
savistaramupapādanāt | na hyatratyānāṃ pañcadaśānāmacāṃ
guṇajanakatvaṃ guṇavācakatvaṃ guṇāśrayatvaṃ vā saṃbhavati,

mānābhāvāt | nanu-hakārapañcakasya vyomapañcakajanakatvena
tadvācakatvena cābhede siddhe tadguṇaiḥ śabdairapi sahābhedaḥ
siddhaprāya eva, guṇaguṇinorabhedena guṇasya
guṇyabhinnābhinnatvasya nyāyasiddhatvāt | tathaiva
vācyavācakabhāvasyābhede niyāmakatā tathaiva
lakṣyalakṣakabhāvasyāpi | asti hi prakṛte hakārāṇāṃ
śabdalakṣakatvam, śabdasya hakāraśakyasaṃbandhitvāt | ata eva
yoginīhṛdaye vyomabījaistu vidyāsthairlakṣayecchabdapañcakam
ityuktam | yattu śakyasaṃbandhapradarśanakārikāyāṃ tatraivoktam
bhaved guṇavatāṃ bījaṃ guṇānāmapi vācakam |
kāryakāraṇabhāvena tayoraikyavivakṣayā ||
iti, tatra lakṣakaṃ'pi vācakapadaprayogo vācakaniṣṭhasya
svabodhyābhedavyāpyatvasya lakṣake'pi tulyatvadyotanapalako gauṇyā
vṛttyaivopapadyate | evaṃ vāyuvācakādīnāmapi sparśādyabheda
upapādanīyaḥ | na ca tathāpi pañcadaśānāmacāṃ tadabhedo na
saṃbhavatīti vācyam na hi prakṛte'ca eva vivikṣitā iti niyamaḥ
hakārādivyañjanairapi pañcadaśasaṃkhyopapādanasaṃbhavāt | na ca
saṃkhyādhikyam, ādhikye'pi sahasre śataṃ saṃbhavati iti nyāyasya
jāgarūkatvāt, guṇāḥ pañcadaśākhyātā bhūtānāṃ tanmayī
śivā iti vacanasthasya tanmayītyasya bhūtamayī guṇamayī
pañcadaśasaṃkhyākāvayavavatī vidyā devī vā
śivetyarthavarṇanasaṃbhavāditi cenna
vyāptā pañcadaśārṇaiḥ sā vidyā bhūtaguṇātmikā |
pañcabhiśca tathā ṣaḍbhiścaturbhirapi cākṣaraiḥ ||
iti sphuṭataravacanavirodhāt | tatra hi sāmānyena
pañcadaśasaṃkhyākākṣaravattvamupapādya
saṃbhāvitanānāśaṅkāparihārāya viśiṣya viśiṣya
kūṭatrayākṣarāṇāṃ gaṇānayājmireva savyañjanaiḥ
saṃkhyāpūrtirityasya spaṣṭaṃ nirdhāritatvāditi | atra brūmaḥ- sāyamajmireva pañcadaśatvam tathāpi hakārādivyañjanānāmeva
guṇābhedaḥ, teṣāmeva tadvācakatvāt | śaktatāvacchedakaṃ tu
pañcadaśasaṃkhyāsamavāyitvasamānādhikaraṇahakāratvādikaṃ
na punaḥ śuddhahakāratvādikam, anyathā hakāreṇa vyomavācakena
prakṛte śabdalakṣaṇāyāṃ yugapadvṛttidvayavirodhāpatteḥ |

śabdaikye'pi
śaktatāvacchedakarūpadharmadvayabhedenārthadvayabhānamupapadyat
e | kathamanyathā liṅādau śabdabhāvanārthabhāvanayoḥ śaktyā
bhānaṃ lakṣaṇayā ca karturmānaṃ mīmāṃsakānām? ata eva
coktaśloke guṇānāmapi vācakam ityevoktam | yattu tatpūrvaśloke
lakṣayet iti padaṃ tadbodhayedityarthakam | astu vā lakṣaṇāpi,
bhinnadharmā vacchinnasya padasyaikadharmaparyāptā-
vacchedakatākaśaktatālakṣakatārūpavṛttidvayayauga-padyasyaiva
viruddhatvāt | vācakapadameva
saṃjātapratipakṣatvādupakramanyāyenānvayitavyam | vastutastu
guṇavatāṃ vācakaṃ bījaṃ guṇānāmapi vācakamityanvayaḥ | bīje
guṇavadvācakatvaṃ parikarālaṃkāravaddhetutvābhiprāyagarbham |
hakārasya śabdavatyeva śaktirna punarākāśamātre | tena ca guṇasya
śakyatā'vacchedakatvena śavayatāvaccedake'pi śakteḥ
prācīnairaṅgīkārād guṇānāmapi vācakamityarthaḥ | tena lakṣayet
ityetajjñānārthakam | tenaikaiva śaktirubhayatretyato na
vṛttidvayavirodho na vā śaktatāvacchedakabhedagaveṣaṇā |
pañcadaśānāṃ varṇānāṃ pañcadaśaguṇābhedakathanaṃ tu daśa
saṃpadyante | daśākṣarā virāṭ | annaṃ virāṭ ityādivat
stutimātramityādi buddhimadbhrūhyamiti saṃkṣepaḥ || 74 ||
idānīm pradhānaṃ tejaso rūpaṃ tadbījena hi janyate
itivacanasvārasyamanusaṃdadhāno guṇānāṃ
guṇibodhakākṣarabodhyatvavat tajjanakākṣarajanyatvasyāpi
sattvādabhedaḥ saṃmavatītyāha-
tattajjanakairvarṇaistattatsaṃkhyaistu tadguṇā jātāḥ |
kāmakalābhiścatasṛbhirāsīt sparśaścaturvidho na tu kaiḥ || 75 ||
tattajjanakairvyomādijanakaiḥ | tattatsaṃkhyaiḥ
pañcādisaṃkhyākaiḥ | tadguṇā vyomādiguṇāḥ |
pañcādisaṃkhyākā iti śeṣaḥ | vidyāyāṃ hi māyātraye
hakāratrayam, madhyamakūṭe hakārau dvau, evaṃ pañcabhirhakāraiḥ
pañca śabdā utpannāḥ ata eva geṣāmarthāḥ śabdā eva, ye ye
yadajjanakāsteṣāṃ teṣāṃ ta evārthāḥ iti vakṣyamāṇatvāt | uktaṃ
ca vyomabījaistu vidyāsthairlakṣayecchabdapañcakam iti | nanu
bhāvārthaprakaraṇe madhyamahakārasya

vidyāmūlabījātmakakāmakalārtharūpatvamuktamiti tasya
śaktivācakatvameva yuktaṃ na punaḥ śabdalakṣakatvamiti cet na
hyekavācakatvamaparālakṣakatve tantram, vṛttidvayavirodhasya
parihṛtatvāt gaṅgāyāṃ ghoṣamatsyau ityādau tasyeṣṭatvācca |
vastutastu, śivaśaktyātmakamūlabījātmakāvakārahakārau tu
sūkṣmatamādapyatyantasūkṣmarūpāvityuktaṃ | iha tu
vaikharyātmakasthūlarūpaya revārthāntaraparatvamucyate | ata eva
madhyaprāṇetyanena tādṛśasūkṣmarūpatāṃ dyotayitvā tasya
prathārūpo yaḥ spandaḥ sthūlātmikā sṛṣṭistadrūpe vyomni hakāre
sthitetyuktaṃ na punaḥ sthūlahakāra eva śaktiriti | uktaṃ ca teṣāṃ
kāraṇarūpeṇa sthitaṃ dhvanimayaṃ param iti | teṣāṃ śabdānām |
śabdasṛṣṭeḥ sarvasyāpītyarthaḥ | kāraṇaṃ śaktiḥ, tasyā rūpaṃ
sūkṣmatamādapi param | tādṛśena rūpeṇopalakṣitaṃ sad
dhvanimayam | dhvanyabhinnaṃ sat sthitaṃ paraṃ parabrahmetyarthaḥ |
sarveṣvapi varṇeṣu varṇāṃśadhvanyaṃśau parasparasaṃsṛṣṭau
vartete suvarṇe parasparasaṃsṛṣṭapārthivataijasāṃśavat,
katvādivarṇadharmāṇāṃ
tāratvamandratvaṣaḍjatvādidhvanidharmāṇāṃ ca
sarvavarṇeṣvanubhūyamānatvāt | ata eva śārīrakabhāṣye
sphoṭanirāsāya varṇānāmeva nityatvamaṅgīkartuṃ
teṣāmekaikavyaktirūpatvamupapādya vailakṣaṇyapratītiḥ
sarvāpi dhvanyālambanatvenopapāditā devatādhikaraṇe | tathā ca
madhyamahakāre dhvanyaṃśaḥ parabrahmavācakaḥ, varṇāṃśastu
śabdalakṣaka iti viveka iti bhāvaḥ | ye tu hādividyāpakṣapātino
yoginīhṛdayasya saṃpūrṇatantrasyāpi hādividyāyāmeva tātparyamiti
manyamānā ihānyathā vyācakṣate-paraṃ ṣaṣṭhaṃ hākṣaraṃ
teṣāṃ pañcānāmapi śabdānāṃ kāraṇabhūto yo
dhvanirnādastanmayaṃ tadvācakam iti, teṣāṃ tatra
granthasvārasyabhaṅgena kḷptataraṃ vyākhyānameva śaraṇamiti tatra
tatra spaṣṭīkariṣyāmaḥ | nanu tathā sati vāyujanakakakārāṇāmeva
caturvidhasparśajanakatvasyāvaśyikatvāt kakārāṇāṃ ca
caturṇāmabhāvādanupapannamidamityāha-kāmakalābhiriti |
mahāmāyāyāṃ tatra īkārā ekastṛtīyākṣararūpaśceti
caturbhirīkāraiścaturdhā sparśa utpanno na punaḥ kakārairityarthaḥ | taduktam-
mahāmāyātrayeṇāpi kāraṇena ca bindunā |

vāyvagnijalabhūmīnāṃ sparśānāṃ ca catuṣṭayam ||
utpannaṃ bhāvayeddevi sthūlasūkṣmavibhedataḥ |
iti | mahāmāyāyāṃ yat trayamīkāratraṃ tena, kāraṇena ca
kevalenekāreṇa ca, tasyaiva viśvakāraṇatvasya pūrvamuktatvāt |
binduneti kāmakalācatuṣkasyāpi viśeṣaṇam, tasya tatra
tribindvātmakatvāt turīyabindujanyatvādvā | tacca vāyumaṇḍalasya
bindulāñchitatvadyotanāya | sthūlo vyāpako vāyugataḥ | sūkṣmā
vyāpyā agnyāditrayaniṣṭhāḥ | hādipakṣapātinastu kakārāṇāṃ
kāmakalānāṃ ca hādividyāyāṃ tritrisaṃkhyākatvena
caturthālābhād bindūn vibhajya gaṇayanti | tatpakṣa ekaikasyāḥ
kāmakalāyāritratribindvātmakatvena nava saṃpadyeran | visargatvena
bindudvayasyaikye tu visargāstrayaḥ kāmāstraya iti ṣaṭ | kāmatvena
trayāṇāmaikye tu visargatvenāpi trayāṇāmaikyāpātād dvayam |
turīyabindorapi melane tu vibhāge dvādaśa, tadabhāve trayamiti
sarvathā na catuḥ saṃkhyāsiddhiḥ | mahāmāyāyāṃ
kāmakalāyāṃ yadbindutrayaṃ tena, kāraṇabindusturīyastena ceti
vyākhyānetvanyayorīkārayorvaiyarthyamiti spaṣṭam | na ca
guṇaguṇinorekameva kāraṇaṃ kapālādereva ghaṭadgatarūpe prati
kāraṇatvāditi niyamo vyomaśabdajanakahakārādāviṣṭo bhajyeteti
vācyam, tasya vacanabalāt pākenāpi rūpādyutpattidarśanena
cautsargikatvāt | trividharūpaṃ tu māyāntargataistribhī rephairjanyate,
rūpāṇāṃ tritaya tadvat tribhī rephairvibhāvitam iti vacanāt | evaṃ
rasadvayaṃ sakāradvayena, vidyāsthaiścandrabījaistu sthūlaḥ sūkṣmo
rasaḥ smṛtaḥ iti vacanāt | candrabījaiḥ sakāraiḥ | sthūlo vyāpako
jalagataḥ | sūkṣmo vyāpyo bhūgataḥ | padamabhyadhikābhāvāt
smārakānnātiricyate iti nyāyena padārthopasthiteḥ smṛtirūpatvāt
smṛta ityuktam | yadyapi kādividyāyāṃ dvāveva sakārau, tathāpi
vidyāsthaiścandrabījaiḥ iti bahucanābhyāmapi rasasya dvaividhyāt
akṣīṇi me darśanīyāni, pādā me sukumārāḥ iti
mahābhāṣyaprayogād dvitvasaṃkhyaiva lakṣyate | ata eva
sthūlasūkṣmapadagataprayekaikavacanābhyāṃ dvitvameva
spaṣṭīkṛtam | nanu-vyomabījena vyomaguṇalakṣaṇā yuktā,
śakyasaṃbandhāt | candravācakabījasya tu
candragatāmṛtalakṣakatvameva vācyaṃ na punarjalagatarasalakṣakatvam,
asaṃbaddhalakṣaṇāyāmatiprasaṅgāt | na ca vyomavācakasyāpi
vāyvādigataśabdalakṣakatvavadupapattiḥ, tatrāpi nabhoguṇasya

vyāpakatvena svaśakyasamavetavyāpyatvarūpasaṃbandhasya sattvāt |
ata eva pradhānaṃ tejaso rūpaṃ tadbījena hi janyate ityanena vacanena
tejorūpasya vyāpakatvalakṣaṇaṃ prādhānyaṃ
śakyasaṃbandhapradarśanāyaivoktam | tannyāyasya hakārādāvapi
tulyatvenādoṣāt | na ca tathāmṛtavyāpyatvaṃ jalarasasya saṃbhavati,
tadabhāvavadvattitvāditti cet-maivam, amṛte'pi rasasya samavetatvena
lakṣaṇopapatteḥ | ata evoktam saṃbandho vidito loke rasasyāpyamṛtasya
ca iti |
amṛtarasayorāśrayāśrayimāvalakṣaṇo'bhedalakṣaṇo vā saṃbandho
lokaprasiddha iti na lakṣaṇāyāṃ vivaditavyamityarthaḥ |
śakyatāvacchedake'pi śaktiriti pakṣe rasāmṛtayorabhedasya
lokasiddhatvādrasābhinnāmṛtavati śaktasya sakārasya raso'pi
śakyatāvacchedaka iti bhāvaḥ | hādividyāpakṣapātinastu,
candrabījaiḥ iti bahuvacanasya svānuguṇatvaṃ matvā tuṣyantastribhiḥ
sakārai rasā lakṣyanta iti vyākhyāya, nanau rasasya dvaividhyāt
tṛtīyasakāraḥ imartha ityāśaṅkya, amṛtaṃ gato'pyeko raso'stīti
tallakṣakatvenodgranthameva samādhāya, nanvevaṃ sati
tṛtīyarasādhāratvena bhūjalabhedāt
ṣaṣṭhamahābhūtasyāpattirityāśaṅkāyām saṃbandho viditaḥ iti
granthamavatāryaṃ, jalāmṛtayoḥ saṃbandho hi lokaprasiddhaḥ, tasya
jalanidhāvedhotpannatvāt, ato jala evāntarbhāva ityāśayaparatvena
vyācakṣate | teṣāṃ rasyeti padasya jalanidhau lakṣaṇā,
sthūlasūkṣmapadābhyāṃ pratyekaikatvavattvena
labdhadvitvavirodhaśca, jale'ntarbhave siddhe
punarvaiyarthyatādavasthyaṃ ca | pratyuta jalāmṛtayorabhedāt
prātisvikamamṛtavācakaḥ sakāro nāpekṣita ityevārthaḥ saṃbhavatīti |
evaṃ lakārasya gandhabodhakatvam vasudharāgato
gandhastallipirgandhavācikā iti vacanāt || 75 ||
nanvekenaiva lakāreṇaikavidhagandhabodhopapatteritaradvayavaiyarthyam
ata āha-
bhuvanatrayasaṃbadhādāsīt tredhā lakāro'pi |
ye ye yadyajjanakāsteṣāṃ teṣāṃ ta evārthāḥ || 76 ||
bhuvanatrayeṇa saha vācyavācakabhāvasaṃbandhāllakārasya
traividhyaṃ janyajanakabhāvasaṃbandhādvā, bhuvanatrayasaṃbandhāt

tridhātvaṃ tu maheśvari iti vacanāt | spaṣṭamanyat || 76 ||
idānīṃ vāyujanakānāmapi kakārāṇāmarthāntaramastīti
pūrvoktasya ye ye yadyajjanakāḥ ityasyautsargikasya
niyamasyāpavādamāha-
kakāratrayavācyāstu sakalāḥ pralayākalāḥ |
vijñānakevalāśceti triprakārā upāsakāḥ || 77 ||
pramātāraḥ sādhakāḥ paśava ityādipadābhidheyā
upāsakastrividhāḥ-
adhamā madhyamā uttamāśceti | ta evāśuddhamiśraśuddhapadaiḥ
sakalādipadaiśca krameṇa vyahriyante | tatra bhedaikadṛṣṭayaḥ
śivāhaṃbhāvabhāvanāhīnāḥ karmaikaratāḥ prathamāḥ |
supakamalakarmāṇaḥ
citiścaityaṃ ca caitanyaṃ cetanaṃ dvayakarma ca |
jīvaḥ kalā śarīraṃ ca sūkṣmaṃ puryaṣṭakaṃ bhavet ||
iti ślokoktasūkṣmapuryaṣṭakasaṃbandhaśālinaḥ
karmajñānamārgayoḥ sādhāraṇā dvitīyāḥ | nirastabhedāḥ sarvatra
śivaikadṛṣṭayaḥ pūrṇajñāninastṛtīyāḥ | ete ca svacchandasaṃgrahe
vistareṇa prapañcitāḥ | te trayāṇāṃ kakārāṇāṃ vācyāḥ | taduktam-
aśuddhaśuddhamiśrāṇāṃ pramātaṇāṃ paraṃ vapuḥ |
krodhīśaśatritayenāsya vidyāsthena prakāśyate ||
iti | krodhīśaḥ kakāraḥ | na cākārāṇāṃ pārthakyasyāgre
vakṣyamāṇatvenaikaikahalātmakā eva hakārakakārādayo vācakā
vaktavyāḥ, tathā ca kakāre jaśbhāvena gatvāpattiriti vācyam ekahala
eva padatvena padāntatvābhāvāt, vyapadeśivadbhāvasya ṭakitau,
suppitau ityādijñāpakenānityatvāt || 77 ||
akārairdaśasaṃkhyākairucyante jīvarāśayaḥ |
vidyāyāḥ prāṇabhūtaḥ saṃstadvācyekādaśaḥ svaraḥ || 78 ||

pañcadaśyāṃ dvitīyatṛtīyavarṇau hṛllekhātrayaṃ ca muktvā
avaśiṣṭeṣu daśasvakṣareṣvakārā daśa | teṣāṃ jīvarāśaya eva
vācyāḥ | ekenāpyabhidhānasaṃbhave daśabhirabhidhānaṃ
jīvānāmānantyadyotanāya | tṛtīyakūṭādyākāre tu
dhvanisvarūpasyaiva bhāvārthaprakaraṇe
mūlabījāṃśarūpatvamuktamiti na virodhaḥ | ekādaśaḥ svara ekāraḥ
sa ca vidyālakṣaṇasya mūlabījotthavṛkṣasyāntaraḥ prāṇaḥ sannapi
svayaṃ svavācī, loke'pi kṣatasya punaḥ prarohaṇādinā
anumīyamānasyādhyātmikavāyusaṃbandhasya
vṛkṣādāvaṅgīkārāt | uktaṃ ca-
śrīkaṇṭhadaśakaṃ tadvadavyaktasya hi vācakam |
prāṇabhūtaḥ sthito devi tadvadekādaśaḥ svaraḥ |
ekaḥ sanneva puruṣo bahudhā jāyate hi saḥ ||
iti | śrīkaṇṭhā akārāḥ | avyakto jīvaḥ | ekādaśa ekāraḥ
saṃdhirekādaśo bhadrā padmanābhaḥ kulācalaḥ iti kośāt,
yadekādaśamādhāraṃ bījaṃ koṇatrayātmakam |
brahmāṇḍādi kaṭāhāntaṃ jagat ---------------- ||
iti prayogācca yogarūḍho'yaṃ śabdaḥ | tasya ca śuddhayogāpekṣayā
paratvamastyeva | sa ca prakṛta eko'pi dṛśyamāno bahurūpaḥ
pariṇamate | uktaṃ ca kādimate-
yadekādaśamādhāraṃ bījaṃ koṇatrayātmakam |
brahmāṇḍādi kaṭāhāntaṃ jagadadyāpi dṛśyate ||
iti | hādipakṣe tu śuddhayaugikatvamaṅgīkṛtya
śrīkaṇṭhaparatvenaikādaśapadaṃ vyākhyāya paro dvādaśaḥ
puruṣaḥ paraḥ śivaḥ, tadvācaka iti vyācakṣate | tatkliṣṭamiti svara iti
viśeṣyeṇākākhyāvartakena sūcitam | nanu
śrīkaṇṭhadaśakasyaikasminneva śloke pratisaṃbandhitvena
nirdiṣṭasyopasthityā, ekādaśo'pi śrīkaṇṭha eveti cenna,
rūḍhiprābalye tādṛśopasthiteraprayojakatvāt | kathamanyathā
jñānārṇave
ādyaṃ vāgbhavamuccārya kāmabījaṃ dvitīyakam |

kumāryāstu tṛtīyaṃ tu tripurā parameśvarī ||
iti tripurācakreśvarīmantroddhāraḥ saṃgacchatām ? tatra hi
kumāryāḥ pratisaṃbandhitvena nirdeśe'pyādyadvitīyapadābhyāṃ
mātṛkāsaṃbandhināveva prathamadvitīyau varṇau vivakṣitau,
dakṣiṇāmūrtisaṃhitādau aṃ āṃ sauḥ ityasyaiva
prathamacakreśvarīmantrasyodbhūtatvāt | anyathā bālāyā eva
tripurācakreśvarītvamāpadyeta | tasmānmātṛkāyāmekādaśa evātra
grāya iti | tārtīyaprathamasya pūrvamabhihitatvānneha
punaruṭṭaṅkanamityapi hādipakṣe suvacam | paraṃ tu na tathā
sāṃpradāyikairvyākhyātam | tathāpi kaḥ prāṇavācako'kāraḥ ko
vā jīvavācaka ityanirdhāraṇaṃ tatpakṣe duruddharam || 78 ||
yoginīhṛdayasthameva padyaṃ lāghavāt spaṣṭatvācca nibadhnāti-
bindubhiritrabhirucyante rudreśvarasadāśivāḥ |
śāntiḥ śaktiśca śaṃbhuśca nādatritayabodhanāḥ || 79 ||
rudrastejastattva, rudro vā eṣa yadagniḥ iti śruteḥ | tena
puruṣaniyatikālarāgavidyākalāmāyānāṃ parigrahaḥ,
puruṣādikamāyāntaṃ tejastattvaṃ maheśvari iti
svacchandasaṃgrahokte | śāntiḥ prakṛti śuddhavidyā ca |
ardhacandrādyunmanāntavarṇāṣṭakaṃ nādapadenocyate |
nādatritayameva bodhanaṃ yeṣāṃ te | karaṇe lyuṭ || 79 ||
evaṃ saptatriṃśatsaṃkhyākapadairmahāvidyā |
ṣaṭtriṃśattattvānāṃ tattvātītasya cābhidhātrīyam || 80 ||
evamityasyānantarodīritaślokaṣaṭkoktarītyetyarthaḥ | tatra hi
vyomabījapañcakam, kāmakalāścatasraḥ, candrabīje dve,
rephabhūbījakrodhīśabindunādāstrayastrayaḥ, śrīkaṇṭhadaśakam,
ekādaśaḥ svara ekaḥ, iti saṃhatya saptatriśat padānyupapāditāni |
teṣāṃ ca tattvāni ṣaṭtriṃśattattvātītaṃ brahmaikamityarthaḥ | tāni ca
yathā-śivaḥ śaktiḥ, sadāśivaḥ, īśvaraḥ, śuddhavidyā, māyā kalā,
vidyā, rāgaḥ, kālaḥ, niyatiḥ, puruṣaḥ, prakṛtiḥ, ahaṃkāraḥ, buddhiḥ,
manaḥ, śrotram, tvak, cakṣuḥ, jihvā, ghrāṇam, vāk, pāṇiḥ, pādaḥ,
pāyuḥ, upasthaḥ, śabdaḥ, sparśaḥ, rūpam, rasaḥ, gandhaḥ, ākāśaḥ,

vāyuḥ, tejaḥ, āpaḥ, pṛthivī | eteṣāṃ svarūpamutpattikramaśca
saubhāgyasudhodaye draṣṭavyaḥ, vistarabhayānneha likhyate | tatra
śivaśaktiśuddhavidyāprakṛtayo bindvarthāḥ | sadāśivādipuruṣāntā
nava nādārthāḥ | śabdādaya ākāśādayaḥ śrotrādayo
vāgādayaśca pañca pañca hakārāderarthāḥ | ahaṃkārāditrayaṃ tu
kakāratrayasya śrīkaṇṭhānāṃ vārthaḥḥ | ekādaśasvarasya
tattvātītamartha iti vivekaḥ | yadyapi hakārādeḥ
śabdādyarthakatvavadindriyādyarthakatvaṃ noktam, tathāpi
svaravyañjanabhedena saptatriṃśatprabhedinī |
saptatriṃśatprabhedena ṣaṭtriṃśattattvarūpiṇī |
tattvātītasvabhāvā ca vidyaiṣā bhāvyate mayā ||
iti vacanabalāt tattadarthakatvamavaśyakalpanīyam | na ca saptatriṃśato
varṇānāṃ saptatriṃśati tattveṣu krameṇa śaktirastviti vācyam,
hakārādau kḷptaśakti parityāgasya śaktyantarasvīkārasya cāpatteḥ |
na ca bhavatpakṣe'pyekasyānekārthakatvaṃ doṣa iti vācyam, ekatra
śaktiḥ paratra lakṣaṇeti suvacatvāt | na ca yugapadvṛttidvayavirodhaḥ,
etadvacanabaladeva saptatriṃśattvasya
śaktattāvacchedakatvāṅgīkāreṇa pūrvavat tasyādoṣatvāt,
kevalahakārasyaiva vyomavācakatvādinā pramitatvena
tadvirodhasyodbhavane tu vṛttidvayavirodhe'kiṃcitkaratvays suvacatvācca
pramāṇa pramitatvāviśeṣādāpatato'nekārthatvasyāpi
haryādipadavadadoṣatvācca | kḷptaśaktiparityāgastu na sarvathā
prāmāṇikaḥ | nanu prathame'ṃśe vidyāyāmaṣṭapañcāśadvarṇā
uktāḥ, kathamiha saptatriṃśattvena gaṇyanta iti cet, satyam | na punaratra
varṇagateyaṃ saṃkhyā kaṇṭharaveṇoktavacane śrūyate
yenaivamucyeta | śrūyamāṇaṃ saṃkhyāmātraṃ tu
padaniṣṭhatvenāpyupapannam, ardhacandrādivarṇāṣṭa-
kasyaikapadatvāt, caturavayavakakāmakalāvannādasyāṣṭā-
vayavakaikavarṇatvāṅgīkāre'pi
kṣativirahācca | ata eva traipuramantre samūhamūla-kāraṇabhūte
mahāmerāvardhacandrādīnāmaṣṭānā-
mapyardhacandratvarūpaikavarṇātmakatvamaṅgīkṛtya navākṣaro
mahāmerurayaṃ brahmāṇḍagolakaḥ ityādivyavahārastantreṣu
dṛśyate | vastuto'rdhacandrādeḥ
sthānasvarūpādibhedānnaikavarṇatvaṃ yuktam, kāmakalāvayaveṣu

tu na tatheti vaiṣamyam | ata eva mūle padairityuktam | śaktaṃ padam iti
tallakṣaṇācchaktairityarthaḥ | na ca suptiṅantaṃ padam iti
pāṇinīyasūtrāt te vibhaktyantāḥ padam iti nyāyasūtrācca śaktaṃ
padam ityādhunikaparikalpitaparibhāṣāyā apramāṇatvādiha padatvaṃ
na yujyata iti vācyam, tathāpyarthavattvena pratyakṣaraṃ
prātipadikasaṃjñāyāṃ subutpatteḥ kvacid vyatyayādinā
kvacicchākalyamatena kvacit supāṃ suluk-ityanena ca lopasvīkārāt | na
caivaṃ kakāreṣu jaśtvāpattiḥ, kiti, piti ityādi jñāpakairekākṣarapade
tadanityatāyā jñāpanāditi | svaravyañjanabhedena ityasyāyamarthaḥ-
svaravyañjanayorabhedavivakṣāmapavadituṃ bhedenetyuktam | abhede
vivakṣita eva hi tayoraṅgāṅgibhāvo lokasiddhaḥ | tathā hi-vyañjanāni
tāvat svarāṅgāṇi | tatra kakārasakārahakāralakārā
daśasaṃkhyākastu
svasvapūrvoccāryamāṇalakārīyaśrīkaṇṭhānāmevāṅgānīti
yadyapi saṃyogādi iti sūtreṇa pratibhāti tathāpi
nāntasthāparamasavarṇam iti sūtreṇa pareṣāmevāṅgānīti vācyam |
rephāstu sabindukakāmakalānām, anusvārā api tāsāmeveti
vastusthitiḥ | tadetat sarvaṃ yājurvaidikaprātiśākhyasūtrāṇi
tribhāṣyaratnāditadvyākhyānāni ca jānānānāṃ spaṣṭataram |
prakṛte tviyān viśeṣaḥ | bindavo hi
svottaroccāryamāṇanādākhyasvarasyaivāṅgāni na punaḥ
kāmakalānām, tatparasvaram iti prātiśākhyasūtrasyātra pravṛtteḥ |
yo hi svarāt pūrvamanusvāro noccāryate sa eva svapūrvasvarāṅgamiti
anusvāraḥ-iti sūtrasya viṣayaḥ | na hi lokavedayoḥ kvāpi
saṃhitāyāmanusvārottaraṃ svaroccāraṇaṃ dṛśyate |
makāranakārayorhi satorhali jhali ca pare'nusvāravidhiḥ mo'nusvāraḥ,
naścāpadāntasya jhali iti pāṇinīyasūtrayorupalabhyate | tasya ca yayi
pare parasavarṇavarṇāntaratāpattividhānācchaṣasahākhyarāhukūṭe
haṃsaḥ ityādāvātmalābha ityāśayena vedamātramadhikṛtya
pravṛttena prātiśākhyamuninā anusvāramātrasya pūrvāṅgatvam
anusvāraḥ-iti sūtreṇoktam | tasya ca vyañjanamaparāṅga virāme
lupyate ityādisāmavedīyaphullasūtrādyuktāni sāmaviśeṣeṣu
prayojanāni vistarabhyādanupayogācca nehollikhitāni | na cātrāpi
prathamadvitīyakūṭasthānusvārayorhakārasakārapūrvatvena
parasavarṇādivarṇāntarabhāvābhāvāt pūrvāṅgatāpattiriti vācyam,
kūṭānāṃ pārthakyenoccaraṇe svaraparatvānmilitvoccāraṇe tu
bindvādinavakasyottarakūṭe praveśavidhānena

hakārādipūrvatvābhāvāt | vastutastu, haltvameva hi vyañjanatvam |
kathamanyathā halo'nantarāḥ saṃyogaḥ iti sūtroktā
saṃyogasaṃjñā haṃsaḥ iti sakāre syāt ? tadabhāve ca
hakārīyākāre saṃyoge guru iti sūtreṇa gurusaṃjñā na sidhyet | iṣṭā
hi sā | tadetacchandaḥśāstrīye dhrādiparaḥ iti piṅgalasūtre
candobhāskare prapañcitamasmābhiḥ | tathā ca saṃyogādi iti
prātiśākhyasūtreṇa saṃyuktākṣarādimavyañjanasya
pūrvāṅgatvaṃ vidadhataiva cāritārthyāt anusvāraḥ-iti pṛthagyogo
vyarthaḥ | na hyavasāne svare vā pare lokavedayoranusvāraḥ kvāpi
dṛśyate, yena tatsārthakyaṃ bhavet | tasmāt pṛthaksūtrakaraṇasya
śrīvidyānusvāra eva viṣaya ityavaśyaṃ vaktavyam | tena ca
kāmakalānāmeva bindavo'ṅgāni, nādastu
dvitīyatṛtīyasvaravadavyañjanāṅgaka eva svaro bhaviṣyatīti dik | ayaṃ
cāṅgāṅgibhāvaḥ caturviṃśatyakṣarā gāyatrī ityādau vede
laukikacchandaḥsu prakṛte'pi
pañcadaśatvaṣoḍaśatvādyupapattyarthamupayujyate,
aṅgāṅginorabhedavivakṣayā tadabhinnapradhānākṣaragaṇanayaiva
saṃkhyāpūrterāvaśyikatvāditi vastusthitiḥ | tadapavādāya
svaravyañjanabhedena ityaktam | aṅgāṅginorbheda eva prakṛtārthe
kāryo na punarabhedo vivakṣaṇīya ityarthaḥ | hādividyāyāṃ hi
dvitīyatṛtīyākṣarayorapi savyañjanakatvena ṣaṣṭirakṣarāṇi |
ardhacandrāderekavarṇatvāṅgīkāre'pi tāvadekonacatvāriṃśat |
bindūnāmapi nādeṣu melanenaikavarṇatvasvīkāre tu ṣaṭtriṃśat |
śaktāni tu tatra catvāriṃśat, vyomabījaṣaṭkaṃ māyātrayaṃ
kāraṇabindureko rephacandrabījabhūbījakrodhīśabindunādānāṃ
trayaṃ traya dvādaśa śrīkaṇṭhā ityeva tadarthopapādanādi na
kathaṃcana saptatriṃśattā saṃpadyate | yadyapi svarāḥ pañcadaśa
vyañjanānyaṣṭādaśa bindavastrayaḥ sarvavarṇasamaṣṭireketi
saptatriṃśattā tadupāsakairupapādyate, yadukta kāmakalāvilāse-
ajvyañjanabndutrayasamaṣṭibhedairvibhāvitākārā |
ṣaṭtriṃśattattvātmā tattvātītā ca kevalā vidyā ||
iti tathāpi saṃkhyāyāḥ pṛthaṅniveśitvasvābhāvyena vyaṣṭiveṣeṇa
gaṇitasya punargaṇanaṃ gauṇam, pañcadaśyāṃ
ṣoḍaśītvāpādakaṃ ca | kiṃ ca aṅgāṅginorabhedasya
lokasiddhasyāpavādāya bhedeneti

kaṇṭharaveṇokterlokasiddhabhedānāṃ pañcadaśānāṃ
varṇānāmabhedena gaṇanasya kutoḥ lābha iti vicāryam | yadyapi
bhedapadasya saṃbhedaḥ sindhusaṃgamaḥ ityādau saṃgamārthe
prasiddhatvādiha svaravyañjanānāṃ sarveṣāṃ melanenetyapyarthaḥ
suvacaḥ tathāpi bhedapadasya vṛttikleśaḥ, samityanupasṛṣṭasya
tādṛśārthāvācaktvaṃ ca | kiṃ ca, yathā tāvat vyāptā
pañcadaśārṇaiḥ sā ityanena sāmānyataḥ
pañcadaśasaṃkhyākākṣarakatvamuktvā tadupapādanāya
tadagrimagranthe pañcabhiśca tathā ṣaḍbhiḥ iti
viśiṣya kathanam, tathaiva svaravyañjanabhedena saptatriṃśatprabhedinī
ityādinā sāmānyena saptatriṃśatsaṃkhyākākṣarakatvaṃ
pratijñāya tadagrimagranthena vyomabījaistu vidyāsthaiḥ ityādinā
nāndatritayabodhanāḥ ityantena vivicya tadupapādanamityavivādam |
tatra coktarītyā
catvāriṃśato'pyupapādanādupakramopasaṃhāravirodho duruddharaḥ
| kiṃ ca,
bindubhistribhirucyante rudreśvarasadāśivāḥ |
śāntiḥ śaktiśca śaṃbhuśca nādatritayabodhanāḥ ||
ityekasminneva śloke bindutrayanādatrayayorarthavarṇanena bindutrayasya
saptatriṃśatsaṃkhyāpūrtyarthamullakho nādatrayasya tu tyāga ityatra
tu spaṣṭaṃ pakṣapāta eva mūlamiti | etena kādividyāyāṃ
saptatriṃśattvasiddhyarthaṃ dvitīyatṛtīyākṣarayoḥ saṃdhyakṣaratvāt
pratisvikaṃ dvyātmakatvena gaṇanākleśaḥ prācāmapāstaḥ
hṛllekhāsvapi tathāpattyā prakṛtabādhakāpādakaśca |
tasmānnādatrayamelanenaiva saptatriṃśattā | spaṣṭametadyoginīhṛdaye
hṛllakhātrayasaṃbhūtaistithisaṃkhyaistathākṣaraiḥ
ityasakṛtpratihṛllekhaṃ pañcānāmakṣarāṇāṃ gaṇanāt |
tasmādyoginīhṛdaye saṃpradāyārthaprakaraṇa sarvaṃ kādi
vidyayāmeva svarasamiti niṣpakṣapāt kṛtamatayo vidāṃkurvantu |
ayamatra niṣkarṣaḥ-tattadakṣarairvācyān lakṣyāṃśca
padārthānuddiśyaikādaśasvareṇa tattvātītabrahmābhedo vidhīyate |
evaṃ vidyāvayavākṣara-samūhavācyapadārthasamudāyātmakatvāt
viśvaṃ vidyābhinnaṃ ityapi vidhīyate | bhāvārthe hi
śivaśaktijanyatvajñāpyakaśivaśaktyabhedavidheyako
vidyājagadubhayoddeśyaka eko bodhaḥ |

viśvajanakajanyatvajñāpyakaviśvābhedavidheyako
vidyoddaśyakaścaikaḥ | iha tu vidyoddeśako
viśvāntargatayāvatpadārthaprātisvikavācakākṣaraikaghaṭitatvajñāp
yakaviśvābhedavidheyaka ekaḥ,
viśvoddeśyakavidyābhedavidheyakaścānyo bodha iti bhedaḥ || 80 ||
tadetadabhisaṃdhāyāha-
janyajanakayorbhedābhāvād vācyasya vācakenāpi |
brahmaṇi jagato jagati ca vidyābhedastu saṃpradāyārthaḥ || 81 ||
brahmaṇi jagata ityatra, abheda iti śeṣaḥ |
samyagguruśiṣyapāraṃparyakramāyātamaryādānusāreṇa dīyata iti
saṃpradāyārthaḥ || 81 ||
atha nigarbhārthamāha-
paramaśive niṣkalatā tadabhinnatvaṃ svadeśikendrasya |
tatkaruṇātaḥ svasminnapi tadabhedo nigarbhārthaḥ || 82 ||
paramaśivaḥ kāmakalāsvarūpanirṇayāvasare niṣkṛṣya kathitaṃ
brahma | tatra niṣkalatā taditarapadārthābhāvaḥ, taditarasya sarvasyāpi
duḥkhajanakatvāt, dvitīyādvai bhayaṃ bhavati iti śruteḥ | iti
prathamakūṭārthaḥ | tena brahmaṇā svīyasya deśikendrasya
śrīgurucaraṇānāmabhedaḥ, teṣāṃ
brahmābhedabhāvanādārḍhyena tadabhedasya siddhatvāditi
dvitīyakūṭārthaḥ | tatkaruṇātaḥ
svakṛtāvyabhicaritabhaktipuraḥsaradṛḍhatarasevāsaṃpāditaprasāda-
janyagurukaruṇākarambitakaṭākṣanirīkṣaṇabalāt svasminnapi sādhake
brahmābhedaḥ sidhyatīti tṛtīyakūṭārthaḥ | svasya gurudvārā
śivagarbhe praveśasaṃpādakatvādetajjñānasya viṣayaḥ
śivagurvātmaikyaṃ nigarmārthapadavācyam || 82 ||
atha paradevatāyā vidyāyāścakrarājasya
śrīgurorātmanaścaikyaṃ kaulikārtha ityucyate sarveṣāṃ
brahmābhedena sajātīyatvāt, sajātīyayūthasya kulapadavācyatvāt,
sajātīyaiḥ kulaṃ yūtham ityamarokteḥ | ayaṃ ca pañcānāmabhedaḥ
samānadharmavattvena siṣādhayiṣitaḥ | sa ca samāno dharmaḥ

gaṇeśagrahanakṣatrayoginīrāśirūpiṇīm |
devīṃ mantramayīṃ naumi mātṛkāpīṭharūpiṇīm ||
iti tantrarājoktagaṇeśādiṣaṭkātmakatvākhyaḥ | tatra paradevatāyāṃ
prathamaṃ gaṇeśatvamupapādayati-
mātā nirupamatejomayyāḥ svasyā marīcirūpāṇām |
āvaraṇadevatānāmīśatvāducyate gaṇeśīti || 83 ||
na tatra sūryo bhāti ityādiśrutyā
pratipāditānavadhikatejorūpabrahmaṇo marīcaya evāvaraṇadevatāḥ |
tāścaikādaśottaraśatasaṃkhyākāḥ | tantrabhedenānyā api
pratipāditāḥ | tādṛśadevatāgaṇasyeśatvād gaṇeśītyucyate mātā ||

icchāditrisamaṣṭirguṇatrayāḍhyānalenduravinetrā |
evaṃ navabhiryogād graharūpetyucyate mātā || 84 ||
icchā jñānā kriyeti śaktitrayasamaṣṭirūpā mātā | taduktaṃ
saṃketapaddhatau-icchā śiraḥpradeśe'tha jñānā ca tadadhogatā |
kriyā padagatā hyasyāḥ iti | guṇaviśiṣṭasya
śabalabrahmaṇo'vayavarūpā eva guṇā iti vyavahriyante |
ādityādigrahāṇāṃ
navasaṃkhyākatvānnavasaṃkhyākāvayavaśālitvameva prakṛte
grahatvaṃ vivakṣitam | evameva nakṣatrādiṣu boddhavyam || 84 ||
indriyadaśakenāntaḥkaraṇacatuṣkeṇa viṣayadaśakena |
prakṛtipuruṣaguṇatattvairjātā nakṣatrarūpiṇī mātā || 85 ||
jñānendriyāṇi śrotrādīni pañca, karmendriyāṇi vāgādīni
pañceti daśendriyāṇi, mano buddhirahaṃkāraścittaṃ
cetyantaḥkaraṇacatuṣkam, śabdādayo vacanādayaśca viṣayā daśa |
prakṛtirguṇatrayasāmyāvasthā, puruṣaḥ,
sattvādiguṇatrayasamaṣṭirūpaṃ sukhaduḥkhamohamūla guṇatattvam |
evaṃ saptaviṃśatisaṃkhyākatvānnakṣatrarūpatvaṃ mātuḥ || 85 ||
narapatiravikāṣṭhāṣaṭsamudradvisaṃkhyai-

rakaḍabavahapūrvairakṣarairveṣṭitābhiḥ |
ḍaralakasahavarṇādyākinībhistu ṣaḍbhi-
rghaṭitatanuritīyaṃ kathyate yoginīti || 86 ||
narapatayo rājānaḥ ṣoḍaśa | ravayo dvādaśa | kāṣṭhā diśo
daśa, ūrdhvādhodigdvayasyāpyaṣṭabhirdigbhiḥ sāhityāt |
samudāścatvāraḥ, payodharībhūtacatuḥsamudrām ityādau tathaiva
samudragatasaṃkhyāprasiddheḥ |
ṣoḍaśādisaṃkhyānāmakārādyakṣarairyathāsaṃkhyamanvayaḥ |
akārādyāḥ ṣoḍaśa svarā amṛtāditaddevatopalakṣakāḥ |
kādiṭhāntā dvādaśa varṇāḥ kālarātryādīnāmupalakṣakāḥ |
ḍādiphāntā daśa ḍāmaryādīnām | bādilāntāḥ ṣaḍ bandhinyādīnām | vādisāntāścatvāro
varadādīnām | hakṣau dvau haṃsavatīkṣamāvatyorupalakṣakau |
ḍakārādi varṇaṣaṭkamādibhūtaṃ yāsāmākinīnāṃ tā
ḍākinyādayaḥ | tenāmṛtādyāvṛtā ḍākinī, kālarātryādyāvṛtā
rākinī, iti prakāreṇa ṣaḍbhistvagasṛṅmāṃsamedo'sthimajjādhipati-
bhirviśuddhyanāhatamaṇipūrasvādhiṣṭhānamūlādhārājñā-
cakrāṇāṃ tattaddevatāvaraṇaśaktisamānasaṃkhyākatattadīyadala-
niviṣṭatāvattāvatsaṃkhyākadevīsaṃvṛtānāṃ karṇikāsu niviṣṭa
bhirḍākinīrākinīlākinīkākinīsākinīhākinībhirghaṭitā tanuryasyāḥ
sā yoginītyucyata ityarthaḥ | yadyapi
tvagasṛṅmāṃsamedo'sthimajjāśukrāṇi dhātavaḥ iti bhiṣajāṃ
ghaṇṭāghoṣeṇa dhātavaḥ sapta, tadadhipatirapi yākinīnāmnā
sahasrārapadme'mṛtādi sakalaśaktibṛndādhiṣṭhitadalakirmīrite
tiṣṭhatīti tantreṣu prasiddham, ṣoḍhānyāse'pi kvacittantreṣu tasyā
nyāso dṛśyate tathāpi yoginīhṛdaye ṣaṇṇāmeva
nyāsavidhānādamṛtādiśaktyatiriktaśakterāvaraṇarūpāyā
abhāvenaitatṣaṭkasamaṣṭyātmakamātṛtvena ca
pārthakyābhāvādyoginyaḥ ṣaḍeva | yadāha-
viśuddhau hṛdaye nābhau svādhiṣṭhāne ca mūlake |
ājñāyāṃ dhātunāthāśca nyastavyā ḍādidevatāḥ |
amṛtādiyutāḥ samyag dhyātavyāśca sureśvari ||
iti || 86 ||

pañcabhirnāgakūrmādyaiḥ prāṇāpānādipañcabhiḥ |
jīvātmaparamātmabhyāṃ caiṣā rāśisvarūpiṇī || 87 ||
ādyādipadābhyāṃ kṛkaradevadattadhanaṃjayānāṃ
vyānodānasamānānāṃ ca saṃgrahaḥ | evaṃ
dvādaśātmakatvādrāśirūpiṇī jaganmātā | pīṭhānāṃ
gaṇeśādisamānasaṃkhyākatvāt tadātmakatvoktyaiva
taduktaprāyamiti na punaḥ pṛthak saṃrambhaḥ || 87 ||
atha vidyāyāṃ gaṇeśādirūpatvamupapādayati-
akathādikaṣoḍaśākṣarātmakatārtīyakakāmavāgbhavaiḥ |
ghaṭitā ca parādivāggaṇairiti vidyāpi gaṇeśarūpiṇī ||
akārādiṣoḍaśasvarātmakaṃ tārtīyaṃ śaktikūṭam |
kāditāntākṣararūpaṃ dvaitīyīkaṃ kāmarājakūṭam |
thakārādisakārāntākṣaramayaṃ prāthamikaṃ vāgbhavakūṭam |
parādivākcatuṣṭayarūpaṃ caitadvyaṣṭisamaṣṭibhedena | ataḥ
śabdagaṇasyeśatvācchrīvidyāpi gaṇeśarūpā | vaitālīyaṃ chandaḥ || 88 ||
bindutrayanādatrayatadanyakūṭatrayairgrahatvamiha |
nakṣatratvaṃ ca daśākārāṇāṃ vyañjanairapārthakyāt || 89 ||
bindunādanirmuktaṃ kūṭamekaṃ bindureko nāda ekaḥ, evaṃ
pratikūṭaṃ trayaṃ trayamityarthaḥ | taduktam-bījabindudhvanīnāṃ ca
trikūṭeṣu grahātmikā iti | bindavaśca dhvanayaśceti dvandvottaraṃ
bījānāṃ bindudhvanaya iti tatpuruṣāt | tena ca bījabindudhvanīnāmiti
padena ṣaḍ gaṇitā bhavanti | teṣāṃ ṣaṇṇāṃ trikūṭeṣu arthāt
tadatirikteṣu triṣu melaneti śeṣaḥ | ṣaṣṭhyā vā saṃbandhitvamarthaḥ
taiḥ ṣaḍbhiḥ saṃmelya gaṇiteṣu kūṭeṣu satsu grahātmikā vidyā
bhavatīti yojanā | ye tripadadvandva iti vyākhyāya
bījamātreṇāvayavaviśleṣasacivena grahatvamupādayanti
teṣāmitarāṃśavaiyarthyam, saṃpūrṇāyā vidyāyā eva
gaṇeśanakṣatrādyātmakatvoktyā prakṛte vidyaikadeśasyaiva
grahatvopapādane kvacidekadeśe kvacit saṃpūrṇāyāmiti vairūpyaṃ
ca | yathā ca yoginyāderapi naikadeśarūpatāpattistathānupadameva
vakṣyāmaḥ | kiṃ ca, bindunirmuktasya bījatvābhāvāt bījapadena

parāmarśo'pi nocitaḥ | kathamanyathā śuddhaṃ binduyutam
ityādidaśavidhamātṛkānyāsāntargataśuddhamātṛkānyāsaprakaraṇe
binduvinirmoke sati kevalānāmakṣarāṇāṃ bījatvabhāvāpattyā
binduyutanyāse paunaruktye'pi sabinduka eva śuddhanyāsaḥ kārya iti
sāṃpradāyikānāmuktiḥ saṃgacchata iti dik |
saṃpradāyārthaprakaraṇe saptatriṃśadvarṇā uktāḥ | teṣu daśa
śrīkaṇṭhānāṃ svasvavyañjanaiḥ saha gaṇane daśasaṃkhyāyā
bādhe saptaviṃśatravaśiṣyante tena ca nakṣatrātmakatvaṃ
siddhamityāha-nakṣatratvaṃ ceti | taduktam-
hṛllekhātrayasaṃbhūtaistithisaṃkhyaistathākṣaraiḥ
anyairdvādaśabhirvarṇaireṣā nakṣatrarūpiṇī ||
iti || 89 ||
hṛllekhābhistisṛbhistadanyakūṭaiśca yoginī yogat |
rāśībhṛtāpyeṣā tisṛṇāṃ pūrvākṣarairaikyāt || 90 ||
hṛllekhātrayaṃ tadvinirmuktaṃ kūṭatrayaṃ ceti
ṣaḍbhiryogādeṣā vidyā yoginī | tisṛṇāṃ hṛllekhānāṃ
pūrvavarṇairlakāraiḥ saha gaṇanāyāṃ
dvādaśasaṃkhyākāvayavaśālitvāt rāśirūpāpyeṣā | uktaṃ ca-
vidyāntarbhūtaśaktyādyaiḥ śāktaiḥ ṣaḍbhirathākṣaraiḥ |
yoginītvaṃ ca vidyāyā rāśitvaṃ cāntyavarjitaiḥ ||
iti | vidyāntarbhūtā ye
śakterādyābhāgāścatuḥpañcatryakṣararūpāstrayaḥ taiḥ śāktaiḥ
śaktibhiḥ | svārthe taddhitaḥ | sāhityarūpasaṃbandhārthe vā | tisṛbhiḥ
śaktibhiḥ sahitaiḥ | tena ṣaṭsaṃkhyāmāpannairityarthaḥ | kecittu-
śāktapadena lakārāstrayaḥ teṣāmeva śavatyādyairiti viśeṣaṇam
tacca śaktisāhityadyotanāya tena ca ṣaṭsaṃkhyāpūrtiḥ evaṃ ca
tribhirlakāraistisṛbhirlajjābhiścetyarthaḥ-iti vyācakṣate | teṣā mate
vidyaikadeśasyaiva yoginīrūpatvāt yoginītvaṃ ca vidyāyāḥ ityuktiḥ-
svārasyabhaṅgāpattiḥ, vidyaikadeśe vidyāpadasya lakṣaṇāpatteḥ |
idaṃ tu cintyam-śaktyādyā lakārāstrayaḥ śāktāḥ sakārāstraya iti

spaṣṭataram hādividyāpakṣa evāsya evārasye satyapi śaktapada
lakārārthakatvena kimiti vyākhyātaṃ tatpakṣapātimiriti | antyavarjitaiḥ
ityasyāntyānāṃ māyānāṃ pārthakyena gaṇanaṃ
varjanīyamityarthaḥ | arthāt saṃnihatairlakārairmelaneneti bhāvaḥ | ye
tu yathāśrutaṃ vyācakṣate teṣām vidyāyāḥ iti svārasyaṃ bhajyeta |
atha vā, rāśīnāṃ sapādanakṣatradvayātmakatvena nakṣatratvokyaiva
pūrṇavidyāyā rāśitvaṃ siddham ekadeśe'pi tasastīti
viśeṣadyotanāyāntyavarjitairityuktiḥ || 90 ||
evaṃ gaṇeśādiṣaṭkatvasya vidyāyāṃ devyabhedasādhakatve
sthite'pi vidyāyāṃ devīrūpāntaratvasya vacanabalādeva
rākṛṣṇādivadabhedasyāpi siddhatvenābhedenaiva hetunā ṣaṭkatvaṃ
sādhayati-
devyā rūpāntaratvena vidyāyāstadabhedataḥ |
gaṇeśagrahanakṣatrayoginīrāśipīṭhatā || 91 ||
atha cakrarāje gaṇeśāditvamāha-
rekhādalakoṇagaṇairghaṭanāccakre gaṇeśatvam |
trailokyamohanādyairnavabhiścakrairgrahatvaṃ ca || 92 ||
rekhāścaturaśrāstisro vartulāstisraḥ | dalāni caturviṃśatiḥ | koṇāḥ
pañcacatvāriṃśat | trailokyeti | sarvānandamayāntairiti śeṣaḥ |
rekhābhistisṛbhirakathādimayībhirmadhyatrikoṇagābhirgaṇeśatvaṃ
vadatāṃ cakraikadeśe tadāpattyā vairūpyaṃ doṣadoṣaḥ || 92 ||
vṛttatrayadharaṇītrayamanvaśrāṇāṃ vibhajya gaṇanena |
saptabhiritaraiścakraiścakre nakṣatrarūpatvam || 93 ||
dvayoḥ padmayoḥ karṇikāvṛtte dve, ekaṃ bahirvṛttamiti trayam |
dharaṇītrayaṃ bhūgṛharekhāstrisraḥ | manvaśrāṇi caturdaśa koṇā |
itaraiḥ, trailokyamohanasarvasaubhāgyadāyakātiriktaiḥ |
vṛttatrayamanvaśrabahirdaśārairiti kecit || 93 ||
sthitisaṃhṛticakre dve padme dve vṛttabhūgṛhe ca dve |
evaṃ ṣaḍbhiryogācchrīcakraṃ yoginīrūpam || 94 ||

bindutrikoṇavasukoṇāḥ saṃhṛticakram, daśāre dve
caturdaśāraṃ ca sthiticakram, avaśiṣṭaṃ sṛṣṭicakramityetat
triprakārakatvaṃ cakrasaṃkete spaṣṭam | padme vasudalaṣoḍaśadale |
vṛttamekaṃ bhūgṛhatvenaikam | aṣṭabhiḥ koṇairbrahmayādi
yoginīrūpatvaṃ vadatāṃ tvativairūpyam || 94 ||
pañcacatuḥśaktyanalā bindurvṛttaṃ ca bhūbimbam |
evaṃ dvādaśasaṃkhyairghaṭanāccakrasya rāśitvam || 95 ||
svābhimukhāgratrikoṇāni śaktaya ityucyante | tāni pañca |
parāṅmukhāgratrikoṇanyanalāḥ | tāni catvāri | taduktam-
pañcaśakticaturvahnisaṃyogāccakrasaṃbhavaḥ iti | vṛttaṃ
padmadvayagarbhitam | ye tu nava trikoṇāni dve padme
bhūgṛhamekamityāhusteṣāṃ binduparityāgo doṣaḥ || 95 ||
cakrasya vidyākṣarajanyatvādapyabhedasya siddhatvāttena hetunā
ṣaḍrūpatvaṃ draḍhayati-
cakraṃ vidyākṣaraireva jananāt tadabhedavat |
devyā rūpāntaratvācca tena yuktoktarūpatā || 96 ||
yadyapi mūlatantre cakre vidyāyā
abhedastadakṣarajanyatvajñāpyaka evokto na punaḥ
ṣaḍrūpatvajñāpyakaḥ, tathāpi evaṃ viśvaprathākārā cakrarūpā
maheśvarī ityuktyā ṣaḍrūpatā sūciteti saṃpradāyaḥ || 96 ||
eteṣāṃ gaṇeśādīnāṃ pañcānāṃ melane pañcapañcāśat
saṃpadyante, gaṇeśasyaikavidhatvenaiva gaṇanāt, rekhādalakoṇeṣu
pañcasaptāvapi eko gaṇeśaḥ ityava vyavahārāt | pīṭhāni yadyapi
kāmarūpādicchāyācchatrāntānyekapañcāt tathāpi ojāpūkānām
iti prādhānyaveṣeṇa punargaṇanāyāṃ pañcapañcāśat
tenaitatpañcakasamaṣṭitvādeva pīṭhatvaṃ siddhamityāśayena tantreṣu
na punaḥ pṛthak pīṭharūpatoktiriti vā tantrāśaya iti manvāna āha-
yāvanmātṛkamuditānyekasametāni pañcāśat |
pīṭhāni punargaṇitānyojāpūkāni catvāri || 97 ||
gaṇapagrahabhādīnāṃ śaśinidhitārartusūryasa.khyānām |
melanataḥ pīṭhāni jñeyānyeteṣu pañcapañcāśat || 98 ||

yāvanmātṛkamityavyayībhāvaḥ | yāvanto mātṛkāstāvanti
pīṭhānītyarthaḥ | o, oḍyāṇapīṭham jā, jālaṃdharapīṭham pū
pūrṇagiripīṭham kā, kāmarūpapīṭham | namaikadeśe nāmagrahaṇam
| tathaiva saṃpradāyāt | bhādīnāṃ nakṣatrayoginīrāśīnām | śaśī
ekaḥ | nidhayo nava | tārāḥ saptaviṃśatiḥ | sāreti pāṭhe'pi sakāraḥ
saptasakhyāyāṃ sāṃketikaḥ, rephastu dvisaṃkhyāyām aṅkānāṃ
vāmato gatiḥ ityukteruktairuktaiva saṃkhyā sidhyati | taduktaṃ vararuci
paribhāṣāyām-
pādayaḥ pañca yādyaṣṭa kādayaṣṭādayo nava |
etādbhinnākṣaraṃ binduḥ saṃkhyā tanmelanodbhavā ||
iti | ṛtavaḥ ṣaṭ | sūryā dvādaśa || 97, 98 ||
atha cakrarājasya vidyākṣarajanyatvamupapādayati dvābhyāṃ
ślokābhyām-
katritayādīkārādbindurjātastadagrime cakre |
hṛllekhābhistatparacakratritayaṃ hakārābhyām || 99 ||
ekāreṇa ca tatparacakre jāte sakārābhyām |
caturaśrāṇi lakārairevaṃ vidyākṣareṇa cakrajaniḥ || 100 ||
icchājñānākriyārūpamādanatrayasaṃyutam |
sadāśivāsanaṃ devi mahābindumayaṃ param ||
ityasya icchādayastisraḥ śaktayo rupyante janyante yasmādīkārāt sa ca
mādanānāṃ kakārāṇāṃ trayaṃ cetyetābhyāṃ saṃyutaṃ janitaṃ
mahābindumayaṃ sadāśivāsanam, brahmaviṣṇurudreśvarāḥ
pādāḥ, phalakaṃ sadāśivamayam, tādṛśaṃ sarvānandamayaṃ
cakramityarthaḥ | athavā, icchājñānakriyārūpāśca te mādanāśca
trayaṃ ceti dvandvaḥ | trayaśabdena bindutrayātmakatvādīkāro
brāhyaḥ | śeṣaṃ pūrvavat | tadetadāha-navayonyātmakam tacca
tisṛbhirlajjābhirjātam,
hṛllekhātrayasaṃbhūtaistithisaṃkhyaistathākṣaraiḥ |
bindutrayayutairjātaṃ navayonyātmakaṃ priye ||

iti vacanādityāha-tadagrima ityādinā |
sarvarakṣākarasarvārthasādhakasarvasaubhāgyadāyakākhyaṃ
sthiticakratritayaṃ tisṛbhiḥ śaktimistribhiranalaiśca racitaṃ
hakāradvayenaikādaśasvareṇa ca samutpannam | taduktam-
maṇḍalatrayayuktaṃ tu cakraṃ śaktyanalātmakam |
vyomabījatrayeṇaiva --------------------------------------- ||
iti | daśāradvayaṃ manvaśraṃ ceti maṇḍalatrayam | vyomabīje ca
trayaṃ ceti vigrahaḥ | trayapadena koṇatrayātmakatvādekāraḥ |
vyomanī ca bījaṃ ceti vigṛhya vyomabījānyeva trayamiti vā vigrahaḥ,
bījapadenaikāraḥ, tasya brahmāṇḍādikaṭāhāntaṃ prati
bījabhūtatvāt, yadekādaśamādhāraṃ bījaṃ koṇatrayātmakam iti
prayogācca | hādipakṣe tu na ko'pyatra kleśaḥ | tadetadāha-
tatparetyādinaikāreṇa cetyantena |
tatparacakre iti | sarvasaṃkṣobhaṇasarvāśāparipūrake ityarthaḥ | uktaṃ
ca- saroruhadvayaṃ śāktaiḥ iti | śāktaiḥ sakārābhyām | akṣīṇi me-
itivadbahuvacanam | janyajanakayoḥ samasaṃkhyākatvasya sati saṃbhave
yuktatvācca | ata eva hi hṛllekhātrayetyuktaśloke bindutrayayutairiti
viśeṣaṇasya sārthakyam, pañcadaśasvakṣareṣu
bindunādatrayasyekāraiḥ saha melane pratihṛllekhaṃ hakāro repha
īkāraśceti trayameveti tattrikeṇa navākṣarasamūhena
navayonyātmakasya cakradvayasya jananasaṃbhavāt, binduśabdasya
bindvādyunmanyantasamūhaparatvāt | svarūpakīrtanamātraparatvena
vyākhyāyāṃ tu tadvaiyarthyaṃ spaṣṭam | caturaśrāṇi
trailokyamohanacakram | ubhayatra bahuvacanaṃ tritve || 99, 100 ||
etattritayābhinnaḥ svagurustadabhedabhāvanādārḍhyāt |
tena gaṇeśādimayastaddayayā ca svayaṃ tathārūpaḥ || 101 ||
eteṣāṃ devatāvidyācakrāṇāṃ tritayenābhinnaḥ | tena
gaṇeśādiṣaḍrūpaḥ śrīguruḥ | tatprasādena svayaṃ sādhako'pi
taduktam-
devyā deho yathā prokto gurudehastathiva ca |
tatprasādācca śiṣyo'pi tadrūpaḥ san prakāśate ||

iti | devīdehe ye ye'vayavā yadyadrūpāstattadrūpāvayavaka
evaitayordeha ityarthaḥ || 101 ||
nanu gaṇeśādyātmakatvajñāpyakaḥ pañcābhedaḥ
kathamupapadyate, gaṇapadasya samudāyārthakasya
samudāyisāpekṣatvena samudāyināṃ devatākṣararekhāṇāṃ bhede
tadbhadasyāvaśyikatvāt, nakṣatratvāderapi
saṃkhyāmātrasyānugamakatve'pi saṃkhyāvatāṃ
viruddhadharmādhikaraṇatvena bhedasya saṃkhyāvatāṃ saṃmatatvena
bhinnabhinnatvāt tena ca naikasyāpi dharmasyābhedavyāpakateti kathaṃ
tajjñāpyakābhedaḥ sādhyata iti cet maivam vacanabalādeva
samudāyināṃ saṃkhyāvatāṃ cābhedasya sidddhatvāt,
upakramādibhirnirṇītatātparyakasya śabdasya pratyakṣādinikhila-
pramāṇebhyo'pi balavattāyāścandraprādeśikatvabhramādāvanyatra
caupaniṣadairbahutaraṃ sādhitatvāt | kiṃ ca svāśrayasamānajātī-
yāśritasvātiriktasvavyāpakasaṃkhyāvirahasahakṛtasvatvarūpa-
saṃkhyāmātratvamapyabhedasādhakameva, bādhakābhāvāt |
svapadāni navādisaṃkhyārūpāṇi | tena vidyā
devatāsvarūpādabhinnā
navasaṃkhyāmātrāśrayatvāddevatāsvarūpavadityādayaḥ pṛthak
pṛthak prayogāḥ | ata evaikatvasaṃkhyāmātrāśrayatvādākāśa-
kāladigīśvarāṇāmabhedo dīdhitikṛtaḥ saṃmataḥ | idaṃ
cānumānamāgamasahitameva pramāṇaṃ
viṣayapramātvadārḍhyasaṃpādanāya | tena na
ghaṭatvapaṭatvāderabhedāpattiḥ | tadetat
sarvamabhisaṃdhāyopasaṃharati-
itthaṃ mātā vidyā cakraṃ svaguruḥ svayaṃ ceti |
pañcānāmapi bhedābhāvo mantrasya kaulikārtho'yaṃ || 102 ||
atha kramaprāptaṃ sarvarahasyārthamāha-
dvādaśaṣoḍaśadaśabhistapanaśaśidahanakalābhirākīrṇaiḥ |
pañcāśadbhirvarṇairabhinnadehā kulīnakuṇḍalinī || 103 ||
bisatanvī taḍidābhā mūlādhārarathapadmaśṛṅgāṭāt |
bhittvā mūlahṛdājñāgatavahniravīndumaṇḍalatritayam || 104 ||

sūryasya kalāstapinyādayo dvādaśa
kakārādibhrdvādaśabhirānulomyena bhakārādibhiḥ prātilomyena
dvādaśabhiśca yuktāḥ | candrasya kalāḥ ṣoḍaśāmṛtādayaḥ
ṣoḍaśabhiḥ svarairyuktāḥ | agneḥ kalā daśa dhūrmrārcirādayo
yakārādibhirdaśabhirvarṇairyuktāḥ | evaṃ
pañcāśadbhirakṣarairabhinnā kulakuṇḍalinī bisatantutanīyasī
taḍitkoṭiprakhyā | mūlādhārasthapadmaśṛṅgāṭāt mūlādhārasya
karṇikāyāṃ vidyamānācchṛṅgāṭāt trikoṇādupari
sārdhatrivalayākāreṇādhomukhī samupaviṣṭā yogamaryādayā
yogibhirūrdhvamukhatayotthāpyate | sā
mūlādhārānāhatājñācakreṣu vidyamānāni
vahnisūryasomamaṇḍalāni bhinatti || 103, 104 ||
vyomani cicchaśimaṇḍalamadhye tvakulena saṃgamya |
ubhayāṅgasaṅgajanyaṃ pravāhayantī sudhāpūram || 105 ||
svayamapi tatpānavaśānmattā bhūtvā punaśca tenaiva |
mārgeṇa parāvṛtya svasmin sthāne sukhaṃ svapiti || 106 ||
dvādaśāntaṃ lalāṭordhvaṃ kapālordhvāvasānakam |
dvyaṅgulordhvaṃ śirodeśaṃ paraṃ vyoma prakīrtitam ||
ityuktalakṣaṇe vyomani vidyamānasya
cicchaśimaṇḍalasyādhomukhasahasrārakarṇikārūpasya madhya
sthitayā akulakuṇḍalinyā saṃgamya tato'mṛtapūraṃ srāvayitvā
ḍākinyādimaṇḍalānyāplāvayanti svayamapi tatpānena mattā
bhūtvā punastenaiva suṣumnāmārgeṇa parāvṛtya svasthāne sukha
svapiti | sarvametadyogināmanubhavagamyam |
yogaśāstramaryādājñānamātravatāṃ tu
parokṣajñānagocaro gurumukhādeva vivicya boddhavyamiti neha
vivicyate || 105, 106 ||
sākṣādvidyaivaiṣā na tato bhinnā jaganmātā |
asyāḥ svābhinnatvaṃ śrīvidyāyā rahasyārthaḥ || 107 ||
īdṛśyāḥ kuṇḍalinyā māturvidyāyāḥ svasya cābheda iti
rahasyarūpo'prakāśyo'rtha ityarthaḥ || 107 ||

atha mahātattvārthamā-
vāgindriyairagamye tattvātīte mahatare'ṇutare |
vyomno'pyupari sthitimativiśvābhinne cidānande || 108 ||
brahmaṇi pare niyojyaḥ svātmā tadabhedasaṃprāpyai |
eṣa mahātatvārthaḥ śrīvidyāyāḥ śivenoktaḥ || 109 ||
vāgamamye śabdaśakyatāvacchedakābhāvavati indriyāgamye
prāṇajādi ṣaḍvidhpratyakṣāviṣaye yato vāco nivartante, aprāpya
manasā manasā saha aśabdamasparśarūpam ityādiśruteḥ | na ca
sarvathā jñānāviṣayasyālīkatāpattiḥ, śabdairlakṣaṇayā gamyatvāt,
śābdapratyakṣaviṣyatvācca | tattvātīte
śivādikṣityantaṣaṭtriṃśattattvānyatikrānte | mahattare mahato
mahīyasī | aṇutare, aṇoraṇīyasi |
ākāśādijanakatvānmahattvamupacaryate,
sthūladṛṣṭyaviṣayatvādaṇutvamapi tathā na pnaḥ parimāṇaviśeṣaḥ,
tatra tadabhāvāt | ata eva aṇoraṇīyān mahato mahīyān iti
śrutirapyavirodhena saṃgacchate | vyomna uktalakṣaṇādupari sthitimati,
upāsanārthaṃ kalpitasthānaviśeṣeṇopalakṣite | viśvābhinne,
pariṇāmitvāt | citi svaprakāśe | ānande sukhakasvarūpe | pare
brahmāṇi svātmā niyojyaḥ | tena sahābhedasya
svājñānavaśādalabdhaprāyasya saṃprāptyai, brahma veda brahmaiva
bhavati iti śruteḥ | sakalatattvamūlabhūtatvādayaṃ mahātatvārtha
ityucyate || 108, 109 ||
atha nāmārthaśabdarūpārthāvāha-
tattadvarṇārtheyaṃ tattadvarṇasvarūpeyam |
iti tu śrīvidyāyā nāmārthaḥ śabdarūpārthaḥ || 110 ||
tattadvarṇaśabdena kakārādayo'ṣṭapañcāśadvarṇāḥ
saptatriṃśadvarṇāḥ pañcadaśa varṇā vā gṛhyante, teṣāṃ ca
sarveṣāṃ brahmavācakatvena sahasraśīrṣā puruṣaḥ ityādivat
sāmānādhikaraṇyenānvaye siddhe asmirbhavantīparaḥ
prathamapuruṣo'prayujyamāno'pyasti iti kātyāyanavacane bhavantīpara
ityasya laṭpara iti vyākhyānāt asti iti śeṣapūraṇena vākyārtho
varṇanīyaḥ | evaṃ sati nāmārthastrividhaḥ saṃpadyate-
aṣṭapañcāśannāmakaḥ saptatriṃśannāmakaḥ

pañcadaśanāmakaśceti, atra pakṣatraye'pi kakārādīnāmanyatamasya
brahmavācakatvāt | anyeṣāṃ punaruktānāmakārakakārādīnāṃ
vaiyarthyaparihārastu akāro brahmaviṣṇvīśakamaṭheṣvaṅgaṇe raṇe
ityādirītyā viśvaprakāśakośe
tattadakṣarāṇāmanekārthavācakatvoktesteṣu
yogyatāmanusṛtyārthavarṇanena kāryaḥ | śatakṛtvo'pi pathyaṃ
vaditavyam iti nyāyācca etādṛśasthaleṣu na paunaruktyaṃ doṣaḥ |
evaṃ ca sarveṣāmakṣarāṇāṃ tattadvācakatvena rūḍhyā vā
pratyakṣaraṃ sorlopasyāvaśyikatvena
pratipadikamātrāvaśeṣādvopāsakajaneṣu prasiddhatvādvā
saṃbhāvyatvādvā paripakvārtharūpatvādvā nāmārtha iti saṃjñā,
nāmadheyaṃ ca nāma ca iti kośāt | yadyapyātharvaṇe
gopathabrahmaṇe oṃkāraṃ pṛcchāmaḥ ko dhātuḥ kiṃ pratipadikaṃ
kiṃ nāmākhyātam ityeva prayogaḥ, tathā'pi sattvapradhānāni
nāmāni iti yāskaprayogānnāmapadenāpi
prātipadikāmidhānasaṃbhavāt, avyayagaṇe nāma
prākāśyasaṃbhāvyakrodhopagamakutsane iti kośokteḥ |
āmo'pakvaḥ, tadbhinno nāmaḥ, nakāreṇaivātra samāso na nañā |
tena nalopo nañaḥ ityāderanāpattiḥ, nāstika ityādivat | paripakvatā
virasatvābhāva ityarthāt |
tattadvarṇasvarūpeyam ityatrāpi pūrvavat pakṣatrayam | nanu-
kakārādisvarūpatvaṃ nāmataḥ śabdābhinnatvam tathā ca na sa
kakārasyārtha,h, śabdasvarūpe śaktyabhāvāt na hi ghaṭamānaya
ityādau ghaṭaśabdasyānayanakriyānvayaḥ ata eva na
śabdārthayorabhedapakṣo'pi yujyate, bahnyādiśabdoccāraṇe
mukhadāhādyāpatteśceti cenna śabdasya svasvarupe'pi
śaktestantravārtikādāvuktatvāt | uktaṃ ca bhartṛhariṇā-
grāhyatvaṃ grāhakatvaṃ ca dve śaktī tejaso yathā |
tathaiva sarvaśabdānāmete pṛthagavasthite ||
iti | ata eva śabdārthayostādātmyameva śaktiḥ iti śābdikanavyā
ityanyatra vistaraḥ | itthaṃ ca kakārādivarṇarūpetyādirmantrārthaḥ |
atra śabdasvarūpasyaivārthatvena varṇanācchabdarūpārtho'yamiti
vyapadiśyate || 110 ||
atha nāmaikadeśārthamāha-

kalyāṇyekākṣaryāvīśitrī cāpi lalitā ca |
itthaṃ nāmatriśatīvācyo'rthastattadakṣarasyāpi || 111 ||
nāmaikadeśamātre nāmagrahaṇasya lokasiddhatvāt |
nāmopasthitigamyaḥ prokto nāmaikadeśārthaḥ || 112 ||
atra hi kakārarūpā kalyāṇī ityādinā pañcadaśākṣaryā
ekaikanāmākṣaramāditaḥ kṛtvā tādṛśanāmāni pratyakṣaraṃ
viṃśatiruktāni | tāni ca trīṇi śatāni bhavanti | tāni ca
mantrākṣarāṇāmarthaprakāśanārthaṃ pravṛttāni | tathā ca
kakārasya kakārarūpā kalyāṇī kalyāṇaguṇaśālinī ityādayo
viṃśatirarthāḥ | evamekārādīnāmapi pārthakyena viṃśatirarthāḥ |
teṣu ca sarveṣu prasiddhakośavyākaraṇādirītyā
śakterasaṃbhavādetadbalādeva kalpanasyārthāpattiśaraṇatvāt,
anyathānupapattirūpārthāpatteśca nāmaikadeśe nāmagrahaṇam iti
nyāyena parikṣayāt, teṣāṃ nāmnāmekadeśā eva kakārādaya iti
kalpyate | ata evācāryabhagavatpādaiḥ śivaḥ śaktiḥ kāmaḥ
ityādīnāmuddhṛtavarṇānāṃ nāmāvayavatvaṃ spaṣṭamuktam
bhajante varṇāste tava janani nāmāvayavatām iti saundaryalaharyām |
asti hi nāmaikadeśe nāmagrahaṇam bhīmo bhīmasenaḥ satyā
satyabhāmā gururlaghurgalau ca ityādau anuṣṭubhi, yajñāyayajñīye,
udgīthopāntyam, gāyatrīṣu, jarābodhīye, rathantare, pratihārādiḥ iti
vaktavyeṣṭubhi, jñīye, gīthopāntyam, trīṣu, bodhīye, tare, hārādiḥ
ityādiprayogāḥ sāmavedināṃ phullasūtre ca bahulamupalabhyante |
tatra ca kakārādināmnāmānantyāt kakārasyāpyanantārthakatve
prāpte'ya niyama eva evārthā nānya iti | teṣu ca pratyakṣaraṃ
prathamanāmnāṃ nāmārthaśabdarūpārthābhyāṃ
paunaruktyādihaikonaviṃśatirevārthā vivakṣitāḥ | tathā ca
nāmaikadeśārtho'pyekonaviṃśatividhaḥ saṃpannaḥ | atra ca
pañcadaśasaṃkhyāsu viṃśikāsu prathamanāmāni parityajya
dvitīyanāmānyuṭṭaṅkitāni, prathamanāmnāṃ
pūrvatanārthavarṇanena labdhatvāt || 111, 112 ||
eteṣu ca viṃśatisaṃkhyākeṣvartheṣu kakārasya
kakārarūpetyarthavarṇanadaśāyāmekārasyakārarūpeti,
īkārasyekārarūpiṇītyevārtho varṇanīya iti na niyamaḥ,
kakārarūpaikākṣarī, īpsitārthapradāyinītyapyarthasya suvacatvāt |

evaṃ cātra pañcadaśākṣarāṇi vilikhya pratyakṣaraśirasi
viṃśatyaṅkān dattvā parasparaṃ hanane caramākṣare yā saṃkhyā
niṣpadyate tāmevāha-
tithimitabindugaṇottaragajarasagiridasrarāmasaṃkhyākāḥ | arthā bhavanti yogānnāmno nāmaikadeśasya || 113 ||
namno nāmāthaṣu tṛtīyapakṣasyaikasya
nāmaikadeśārthasyaikonaviṃśatividhasya ca yogāduktarītyā guṇanāt
tithibhiḥ pañcadaśasaṃkhyayā mitaḥ saṃmito yo bindugaṇastasyottare
ye gajādayaḥ gajā aṣṭau, rasāḥ ṣaṭ, girayaḥ sapta, dasrau dvau,
rāmāstrayaḥ | aṅkānāṃ vāmato gatiḥ iti nyāyādādau pañcadaśa
bindūn vilikhya tadvāme gajādīn vilikhet, vāmagatau
vāmabhāgasyaivottaratvāt |
athvā vā, bindugaṇa uttaro yebhyaste gajādaya iti vigrahaḥ | gajādīn
vāmagatyā vilikhya jātasyāṅkasamūhasyottaratra dakṣiṇagatyaiva
bindavo lekhyā ityethe phalite na vivādaḥ | evaṃ ca
śatatrayottarasaptaviṃśatisaṃkhyākaparārdhāni
ṣaṇmadhyānyaṣṭāntyāni ca triśatyuktārthabhedā bhavanti |
aṅkato'pi 32,768,000,000,000,000,000 | etadaṅkajñānaprakārastu
caramāṅkamārabhya pūrvapūrvāṅkadaśadaśaguṇitā
uttarottarāṅkāḥ iti paribhāṣayā | tanniyamaśca līlāvatyām-
ekadaśaśatasahasrāyutalakṣaprayutakoṭayaḥ kramaśaḥ |
arbudamabdaṃ kharvanikharvamahāpadmaśaṅkavastasmāt ||
jaladhiścāntyaṃ madhyaṃ parārdhamiti daśaguṇottaraṃ saṃjñāḥ ||
iti | etadagre'pyaṅkavistarastu cchandaḥkaustubhe'ṣṭame'dhyāye
prapañcito'smābhiḥ || 113 ||
atha śākārtho dvividhaḥ-avayavārthaḥ śaktisamūhārthaśceti |
tatrāvayavārtho nāma devyā avayavānāṃ varṇanam | tadāha-
vākkāmaśaktikūṭairavayavaśo vigraho mātuḥ |
pratipādyo'trā kaṇṭhādā madhyādā ca pādāgrāt || 114 ||
atra vidyāyāṃ vākkūṭena, ā kaṇṭhāt kaṇṭhamabhivyāpya,

arthāt kirīṭamārabhyāvayavaśo vigrahaḥ pratipādya |
kāmarājakūṭena kaṇṭhādhaḥkaṭiparyantavigrahaḥ | śaktikūṭena
kaṭyavaḥ pādāgrānto dehaḥ pratipādya ityarthaḥ | ata eva
vācyavācakayorabhedavivakṣayoktaṃ sahasranāmasu-
śrīmadvāgbhavakūṭaikasvarūpamukhapaṅkajā |
kaṇṭhādhaḥkaṭiparyantamadhyakūṭasvarūpiṇī ||
śaktikūṭaikatāpannakaṭyadhobhāgadhīriṇī |
mūlamantrātmikā mulakūṭatrayakalebarā ||

vedhobhāratyau mādhavalakṣmyau rudrapārvatyau |

tā etāḥ sakalā api kāmakalā eva na tato'nyāḥ |

etā brahmādayaḥ ṣaṭ | yadyapi brahmādīnāṃ puṃstvena
bhāratyādīnāṃ strītvena tadvācakaśabde pumān striyā
ityekaśeṣataḥ ete ityeva bhāvyam tathāpi
brahmaviṣṇumaheśvarāṇāṃ strīrūpatāyā bhāvārthaprakaraṇe
kathitāyāḥ smaraṇāyaivamuktiḥ |
samānādhikaraṇyādekavibhaktikatvarūpāt | pratyakṣaraṃ
vidyamānānāṃ supāṃ tu lopaḥ | vākye saṃhitāyā
avivakṣaṇādīkāreṇa saha na saṃdhiḥ || 116 ||
ayameva kūṭayorapi parayorarthaḥ paraṃ tu tārtīye |
dvaitīyīkadvaitīyīkahakāraḥ sakārataḥ pūrvaḥ || 117 ||
anvayitavyo'kṣaraśaḥ śakteḥ śāktairvibhāvyatvāt |
vāmecchādikaśaktimayatvoktereṣa śāktārthaḥ || 118 ||

prathamakūṭasya yāvānarthastāvāneva dvitīyatṛtīyakūṭayoḥ |
dvitīyakūṭe madhyamahakāraḥ paraṃ tṛtīyakūṭasya
prathamabhāge'nvayayogyaḥ | tasya tatra caturthatve'pi
sajātīyayormadhye dvitīyatvāttathoktiḥ | tena tayorapi kūṭayoḥ
pratisvikaṃ rephāntā varṇāḥ ṣaḍeva saṃpadyanta iti
teṣāmuktarītyaivārthavarṇanam | atra pratyakṣaramekaikatra śaktiḥ tena
śaktānāmakṣarāṇāmarthaḥ śaktārthaḥ | svārthe aṇ | atha vā
śāktānāmupāsakānāmarthaḥ prayojanam, atha vā śaktisamūhaḥ pratipādyata iti trevā nirvacanam | bhārthena saha paunaruktyaparihārastu

kittve'pi guṇaḥ | vijvā kāryaḥ | adhīyate anenetyadhyayanakaraṇaṃ
buddhiḥ | anayo karmadhārayaḥ | asaṃdhirārṣaḥ | tata īkāreṇa
ṣaṣṭhītaturaṣaḥ | laharītyatrākāralopaḥ | māṅ māne iti dhātoḥ kvipi
tallpe prātipadikādhātvarthe bahulamiṣṭhavacca ti ṇici ṇeraniṭi iti ṭilope
ca m iti sidhyati | prakāśakatvaṃ sūkṣmatvam | tathā ca
sūkṣmamativyāpanādhikyaṃ prathamakūṭārthaḥ || 121, 122 ||
hana hiṃsāyāmiti haṃ śauryaṃ pratyarthihananakaraṇatvāt ||123 ||

ṣaṣṭhītatpuruṣaḥ | tato laharīpadena tatpuruṣaḥ | tata īkāreṇa
kīrtyarthakena dvandvaḥ | tato makāreṇa tatpuruṣaḥ | tathā ca
śauryadhanastrīprāptyatiśayasya kīrteśca nirmāṇaṃ

tuk | tacca daharākāśam | tatra prakāśata iti hrīḥ | hrīkārāntapadasya
makāreṇa karmadhārayaḥ | yadyapi kūṭatraye'pi makāro nāstyeva,
anusvārasyaiva tantreṣūddhṛtatvāt tathāpi makarasyaiva
lakṣaṇavaśādanausvāra iti kūṭadvaye suvacam | caramakūṭe
tvanusvāra eva niśeṣyo'stu | tataśca,
buddhiśauryadhanastrīyaśasāmādhikyakartṛ nikhilajagatsṛṣṭyādikartṛ
daharākāśavarti nādarūpaṃ cidrūpaṃ brahmeti mantrārthaḥ siddhaḥ
| ayaṃ cārtho brahmasūtrāṇāṃ śaktiparatvena yojanāṃ
pradarśayadbhistatrabhavadbhirbhāṣyakārairvistareṇa nirūpita iha
saṃkṣipyoktaḥ | tatra kvacit kvacid vyākaraṇavirodhaḥ pratīyate | sa ca
mantrasya mantrārthasya carṣiproktatvena prāmāṇikatve siddhe
prayogaśaraṇā vaiyākaraṇāḥ ityukteretadanusāreṇaiva
vyākaraṇalakṣaṇānāṃ kalpyatvāt parihāryaḥ || 128-130 ||

takṣaḥ ityatrārthanirdeśabalācca
sattādyarthanirdeśasyopalakṣaṇamātratvena dhātavo'nekārthāḥ | tena
syaterantakarmavācakatve'pyupabhogārthakatvamaviruddham | ata eva

ceḍo'dhipūrvatvāt kevalāprayogāsaṃbhave'pi iṭakiṭakaṭī gatau
ityatra praśliṣṭa īkāra evaitadarthako bhaviṣyati, gatyarthānāṃ
sarveṣāmapi jñānārthakatvāt | bahuleti |
kvacit pravṛttiḥ kvacidapravṛttiḥ kvacid vibhāsā kvacidanya eva |
vidhervidhānaṃ bahudhā samīkṣya caturvidhaṃ bāhulakaṃ
vadanti ||
iti bahulapadārthaḥ | tena lahrītyatrākāralopaḥ siddhaḥ | raṇḍaḥ
ityādisiddhyarthamaḍito'pi ñamantāḍḍasya ḍittvamapi siddham |
gatyantaramapyāha-pṛṣodarāditvāditi | pṛṣodarādīni yathopadiṣṭam
pṛṣodarādayaḥ śabdā yathaiva śiṣṭaiḥ prayujyante tathaiva sādhavaḥ,
na tatra lakṣaṇāntaraṃ mṛgyamityarthaḥ | na caivaṃ sati sthalāntare.pi
lahrīti prayogāpattiḥ pṛṣodaraśabdavaditi
vācyam, atraiva sādhiriti niyamasvīkārāt | ata eva gūḍho'tmā iti na
sthalāntare prayujyate | ata eva ca viṣṇusahasranāmabhāṣye
nyagrodhodumbaro'śvatthaḥ ityatra pṛṣodarāditvāt saṃdhirityuktaṃ
śaṃkarabhagatpādaiḥ | gaṇapāṭhābhāve tvāha-ākṛtīti |
ṣuñdhātorḍapratyayādarśanādāha-sveccheti |
saṃjñāsu dhāturūpāṇi pratyayāśca tataḥ pare |
kāryādvidyādanūbandhametacchāstramupādiṣu ||
iti vacanāṭṭilopārthaṃ ḍittvakalpanetyarthaḥ |
chāndasatvasamādhānaṃ tu niraṅkuśamityāha-chandasīti || 131, 132 ||
samastārthapadaniruktipūrvakamupasaṃharati-
bahutarasamāsayāgāt samastapuruṣārthasādhanatvokteḥ |
saṃkṣepāt sārokteḥ śrīvidyāyāḥ samastārthaḥ || 133 ||
samastapadasyārtha iti vā, samastāḥ sakalā arthāḥ puruṣārthā
yasminniti vā, samastaḥ saṃkṣipto'rthaḥ iti vā niruktiḥ || 133 ||
atha saguṇārthamāha-
ko vidhirekāro harirakāra īśaḥ stavārthamīḍapadam |

dvisvaramadhyagatasya ḍakārasya lakāra ādeśaḥ || 134 ||
tenargvedātmatvaṃ sūcitamādyasya kūṭasya |
kramaśo'grimakūṭayuge tena yajuḥsāmatā siddhā || 135 ||
hrīmiti nāma viśeṣyaṃ napuṃsakaṃ brahmalakṣakatvena |
vidhiharigiriśairīḍyaṃ brahmeti prathamakūṭārthaḥ || 136 ||
ekārottaraṃ pūrvarūpeṇākāraḥ praśliṣyate | sa ca
śivavācakaḥ, akāro brahmaviṣṇvīśakamaṭheṣu iti kośāt | kaḥ
prajāpatiruddiṣṭa iti ekāra ucyate viṣṇuḥ iti
caikākṣaranighaṇḍūktabrahmaviṣṇuparaukakāraikārau | īḍa stutau iti
dhātoraci stutya ityarthaḥ etasyagvadātmakatvādajdvayamadhyagatasya
ḍakārasya sthāne lakāra a deśaḥ agnirmale purohitam ityādivat |
taduktaṃ bahvṛcaprātiśākhye-dvayoścāsya svarayormadhyametya
saṃpadyate sa ḍakāro lakāraḥ iti | idameva ca
jñāpakamādyakūṭasyargvedātmakatve
dvitīyatṛtīyakūṭayoryajurvedasāmavedātmakatve ca | yadyapi
kāmo yoniḥ kamalā vajrapāṇiḥ ityatra vajrapāṇiśabdena lakāra
evoddhato na lakāraḥ tathāpi lalayorabhedābhiprāyeṇedam | ata eva
kvacittantre trikhaṇḍogatāstrayo'pi mohārṇapadena lakārā
evoddhṛtāḥ | napuṃsakamiti | avyayamityeva yukta,
svarāderākṛtigaṇatvāt | ata eva triśatyāmekonaśatatamasya nāmno
namoyoge caturthyāṃ prāptāyāmapi hrīṃ namaḥ ityeva
sāṃpradāyikānāṃ prayogaḥ saṃgacchate || 134-136 ||
hasakaṃ tu hasadvadanaṃ mataṃ kakārasya vadanavācitvāt |
yadvā hasa ānandaḥ kaḥ sūryo hastu candraḥ syāt || 137 ||
etau lau nayane yasya tattu kahalaṃ ravindunetramiti |
tena prakāśakatvāccidrūpatvaṃ ca nigaditaṃ bhavati || 138 ||
vidhiharigiriśeḍyatve hetū ete hasatvakahalatve |
tenātyamitānandaṃ cidbrahmeti dvitīyakūṭārthaḥ || 139 ||
haso hāsyam | arśa-āditvānmatvarthīyo'c | tataḥ kakāreṇa
mukhāvācakena bahubrīhiḥ | hasaḥ ko yasya taditi vigrahaḥ | yadvā
hāsasyānandajanyatvādānande hasapadasya lakṣaṇā | kaśca haśca
kahau, kahau lau yasya tat kahalam | mukhe sūrye'pi kaḥ smṛtaḥ haḥ
kope varuṇe candre indre'pi locane laḥ syāt ityekākṣaranighaṇṭuḥ |
hasapadakahalapadayoḥ karmadhārayaḥ | etadarthapratipādakaṃ

mūlamāha-hetū iti | yato hrīṃ hasakahalaṃ tato hrīṃ ka e ī
lamityanvayaḥ || 137-139 ||
sakalakalābhiḥ sahitaṃ sakalaṃ brahma tu tṛtīyakūṭārthaḥ |
itthaṃ guṇagaṇakathanādvidyāyā eṣa saguṇārthaḥ || 140 ||
atra sarvatra sulopaḥ | spaṣṭamanyat || 140 ||
caramoddiṣṭaṃ mahāvākyārthamāha-
vidhihariśivavacanā api kakāra ekārako'kāraḥ |
sṛṣṭisthitibhaṅgātmakatattajjanakatvalākṣaṇikāḥ || 141 ||
īśvaravācīkāro vakti ḍakāraḥ sadāśivaṃ tābhyām |
lakṣaṇayā tatra tirodhānānugrahaṇakṛtyatā gaditā || 142 ||
īkārasya nāmaikadeśanyāyeneśvarabodhakatvam | ḍo maheśaḥ
samākhyātaḥ iti vacane'pi prakṛte sadāśiva evānugrahakartā
vivakṣitaḥ | etena yato vā imāni bhūtāni jāyante ityādiśrutāvuktaṃ
brahmaṇastaṭasthalakṣaṇamuktaṃ bhavati || 141, 142 ||
atha satyaṃ jñānamanantaṃ brahma ityuktaṃ svarūpalakṣaṇaṃ
dvitīyakūṭenāha-
hasa ānandaḥ satyaṃ kaṃ hamanantaṃ ca laṃ jñānam |
sakhā kaśca budhaiḥ proktaḥ iti kośāt kakāraḥ sakhivācakaḥ |
sakhitvamāptatvam | tacca yathārthavaktṛtvamiti śakyasaṃbandhena
prakṛte satyameva vivakṣitam | evaṃ hakārasya vyomabījatvena
vyomno'nantatvādanantamityarthaḥ |
pratyakṣajñānajanakalocanavācilakārasya jñānamarthaḥ || 142- ||
itthaṃ brahma taṭasthasvarūpalakṣaṇayugena nirṇīya || 143 ||
tadabhedaṃ jīvagaṇe vakti tṛtīyena kūṭena |
jāgratsvapnasuṣuptyākhyakalātritayena sāhityāt || 144 ||
sakalapadaṃ jīvaparaṃ brahmaparaṃ śaktibījaṃ syāt |
sāmānādhikaraṇyāt tallakṣitaśuddhayorabhedārthaḥ || 145 ||
atyalpamidaṃ kathitaṃ yat sarvaṃ khalvidaṃ brahma |
ityevaṃ bodhayituṃ sakalapadaṃ vā tṛtīyakūṭagatam || 146 ||

evamavāntaravākyairjīvabrahmasvarūpamabhidhāya |
tadabhedo varṇita ityeṣa mahāpūrvavākyārthaḥ || 147 ||
tattvamasi iti mahāvākye
tatpadārthatvaṃpadārthayorekavibhaktimattvarūpasāmānādhikaraṇyā
dabhedo bodhyate | sa ca vācyārthayorasaṃbhāvajjahadajahallakṣaṇayā
lakṣyapadārthayoriti sthitiḥ | tatra tatpadasya vācyārthaḥ
sṛṣṭyādikṛtyapañcakajanakaḥ | sa ca yato vā imāni bhūtāni jāyante
ityādinā
śrutāvuktaḥ | lakṣyārthastu kṛtyātītaṃ nirviśeṣaṃ brahma | tadapi
satyaṃ jñānam ityādinā pratipāditam | evaṃ tvaṃpadasya vācyārtho
jāgradādyavasthāpañcakaviśiṣṭaḥ sa ca tadyathā'sminnākāśe
śyeno vā suparṇo vā viparipatya śrāntaḥ saṃhatya pakṣau
saṃlayāyaiva dhriyata evamevāyaṃ pruṣa etasmā antāya dhāvati |
tadyathā mahāmatsyaḥ ityādiśrutibhiruktaḥ |
lakṣyārthastvavasthādyatītaṃ brahma | tadapi yo'yaṃ vijñānamayaḥ
prāṇeṣu hṛdyantarjyotiḥ puruṣaḥ, na dṛṣṭerdraṣṭāraṃ paśyeḥ
ityādibhiḥ pratipāditam |
evamavāntaravākyairvācyārthalakṣyārthayornirṇaye sati, tathā
mahāvākye lakṣyārthayorabhedabodhaḥ | yadyapi śrutiṣu
kṛtyatrayamavasthātrayameva varṇyate, tathāpi tantrānusārāt
tatpañcakopalakṣaṇaparatvena vyākhyeyaṃ trivṛtkaraṇasya
pañcīkaraṇaparatvamiva | evaṃ ca prakṛte tṛtīyakūṭasthasakalapadena
kalābhiravasthābhiḥ sahita ityarthakena vācyārthasyoktāvapi
lakṣyārthānukternyūnatā tadarthaṃ ca kūṭadvayamevāvṛttyā
tvaṃpadasya vācyārthalakṣyārthayoḥ samarpakatvena vyākhyeyam |
athavā, tāntrikāṇāṃ mate vācyārthayorapyatyantābhedasya
śāṃbhavānandakalpalatākārādibhirupapādanāt kūṭadvayena
sṛṣṭikartṛtvādi viśiṣṭasyāvasthādiviśiṣṭasyaiva vācyārthasya
samarpaṇam tṛtīyakūṭe tu tayorabhedo jagato vā saṃpūrṇasyābhedo
bodhyate | iha yāvān vaktavyo'ṃśastāvataḥ sarvasyāpyuktau
vedāntaśāstrasyaiva kṛtsnasyārambhaṇīyatāpattyoparamyate |
mahāpūrveti | mahāṃścāsau pūrvaśca vākyārtha iti, mahāśabdaḥ
pūrvo yasmin vākye śabde tasya mahāvākyasyārtha iti vā niruktiḥ |
ete cārthā upalakṣaṇabhūtāḥ tena tantreṣu tatra
tatroktānāmanyeṣāmapyarthānāṃ saṃgrahaḥ | tathā hi-yoginīhṛdaye
tāvat ātmanaḥ sphuraṇaṃ paśyed yadā sā paramā kalā ityārabhya

kāṃściccaturaścaturaḥ padārthānuktvā tadvācakatvaṃ kūṭatrayaṃ
turīyavidyā ceti caturṇāṃ śabdānāṃ pratipāditam-
kūṭatritayayuktasya sakalasya manoḥ punaḥ |
etāni vācyarūpāṇi kulakaulamayāni tu ||
iti | evaṃ ca yāvanti catuṣkāṇi tāvanto mantrārthāḥ | tāni ca
prathame'ṃśe puṭadhāma-ityādiślokoktāni | tatra hi yadyapi
kūṭānāṃ puṭādyabheda evoktaḥ, tathāpi sa vācyavācakabhāva eva
paryavasyati, śabdārthayostādātmyasyaiva śaktirūpatvena pātañjale
mañjūṣāyāṃ ca sphuṭataramupapādanāt | evaṃ kādimate
pañcatriṃśe paṭale caturviṃśādibhistribhirvyākulākṣaraiḥ
ślokairartho varṇitaḥ-
rṇaiḥyābhilirvatāstrila terthodhīkayalā'bhisa |
ṇaderūpepeṇavīśe tam dimīnarisyādate || 1 ||
tsnaṃtogaśetkṛṣaja-a tamtmamīllerikhākahṛ |
taḥrthakasyāthiścāstuta taḥntregorvapitaṣusa || 2 ||

pratipādyata iti tṛtīyasya | prakāśagrāsaśabdau
tūtpattisaṃhārayorvidyāvidyayorvā vācakāviti | ayamapyarthaḥ
atyalpamidaṃ kathitam iti śloke sūcitaḥ | evaṃ cātra puṭadhāma-iti
śloke trayodaśārthāḥ gāyatryādipañcadaśārtheṣu
bhāvārthāścatvāraḥ, nāmārthāstrayaḥ, śāktārthau dvau,
kaulikārthe'pi gaṇeśādirūpatvasya devīvidyācakrabhedena
traividhyam, mahāvākyārthe'pi dvaividhyamiti caturdaśa śeṣā daśa
iti militvā saptatriṃśadarthāḥ | nāmaikadeśārthe tvanantā bhedā
uktāḥ | evaṃ bahutantradraṣṭṭabhiranye'pyarthāḥ saṃgrāhyā || 143-

śaktyā lakṣaṇayā vā ye ye'rthā darśitā manorasya |
teṣu na ko'pi vivādaḥ pratyakṣeṇaiva siddhatvāt || 148 ||

prastāvadeśakālādervaiśiṣṭyāt pratibhājuṣām
ityatrādipadenopāsanāpi grahīṣyata ityāśayena samādhatte-kā

vyañjanāyā bahubhiranaṅgīkārādāha-
āstāmanyā vṛttirvilakṣaṇā tadgrahastu manoḥ |
śivavacanena bhaviṣyati yadvaiṣā śāktirevāstu || 150 ||
etasmādayamartho boddhavya itīśvarecchātvāt |
anyā śaktibhaktivyaktibhyo vilakṣaṇā śaktyāditritayaprakriyāto

vilakṣaṇaprakriyāśālinī | ucchṛṅkhalasya panthānaṃ parityajyāha-
yadveti | śivenaivāsyāyamartha iti spaṣṭamuktatvāditi bhāvaḥ || 150,

pratipadamarthaviśeṣājñāne'pyāstāmakhaṇḍavākyasya || 151 ||
artho'pyakhaṇḍarūpo viśiṣṭamatiriktamiti hi siddhāntaḥ |

bodhayatvitīcchāyāmarthabodhajanakatvaniṣṭhaprakāratānirūpita-
viśeṣyatāśālitvena padasyāpi viṣayatvāt prakṛte
pratipadamarthānukteḥ kathaṃ śaktiriti cenna idaṃ
vākyamimamakhaṇḍārthaṃ bodhayatvityākārikāyā evecchāyāḥ
kalpanāt | vākyasyākhaṇḍatvaṃ vaiyākaraṇānāmiṣṭameva |
arthasyākhaṇḍatvam prakṛṣṭaprakāśaścandraḥ ityādivākyārthaṃ
varṇayatāmaupaniṣadānāmiṣṭameva | tacca vicāryamāṇe
viśiṣṭasyātiriktatva eva paryavasyati | tathā ca yatra
pratipadamarthavivekastatreyaṃ rītiḥ yatra yatra na sa tatra
saṃpūrṇasyaikapadatvamevāstu | na caikasya padasya
viśiṣṭabahvarthavācakatvamadṛṣṭamiti vācyam,
ghaṭatvaghaṭasamavāyānāṃ ghaṭapadavācyatvāt, tadasecanakaṃ
tṛpternāstyanto yasya darśanāt iti kośāt,
hetusamānādhikaraṇātyantābhāvāpratiyogisādhyasāmānādhi-
karaṇyasya vyāptipadārthatvāccetyāha-āsecanaketi |
ādinopādhiparigrahaḥ | teneśvarecchāyāṃ padasyaiva viśeṣyatve'pi
na prakṛtanirvāhāya vilakṣaṇecchākalpanāpattiḥ || -151, 152 ||
nanvasya padatve'nekārthatvaṃ doṣa ityata āha-
ekasyānekārthā dṛṣṭā harisaindhavādiṣu padeṣu |
anyatamaikāvagatau prakaraṇatātparyayorviśeṣakatā || 153 ||
prakṛte tu sarvabodhasyeṣṭatvānno viśeṣakākāṅkṣā |
athavā sakalārtheṣvapi śaktyaikyaṃ puṣpavantapadavadiha || 154 ||
anekārthatāyāḥ pramāṇabalāyātatvādadoṣatvam |
sarvatrānekārthasthale'nyatamasyaikasyaiva bodhanārthaṃ
prakaraṇādijñānasya kāraṇatvādikalpanadoṣaḥ, prakṛte tu tadabhāva

ityāha-anyatametyādinā | atha vā,
īśvarecchāviṣayībhūtabodhīyaviśeṣyatā yathā sūryācandramasoḥ
paryāptaikaiva svīkriyata iti na tatra puṣpavantapade śaktyanekatvam,
tadvadihāpyasvityāha-atha veti || 153, 154 ||
yatra pratipadamarthastān pratyasyāstu vākyatvam |
kvacanāvāntaravākyaṃ samāsavākyaṃ mahāvākyam || 155 ||
yatra gāyatryarthanāmārthādiṣu | avāntaravākyaṃ
saguṇārthāvayavārthādau | avāntaravākyatvaṃ nāma
vākyasamūhabhinnatve sati padasamūhatvameva, na
punarmahāvākyaupādhikatvarūpaṃ prakṛte | samāsavākyaṃ
samastārthe | mahāvākyaṃ carame'rthe || 155 ||
ekasyānekārthe viniyogādarthabāhulyam |
vede bahuśaḥ svīkṛtamatra tvekatra viniyogāt || 156 ||
akhilārthabodhaniyamo niyamādṛṣṭaṃ prakalpayati |
siddhe pramāṇadārḍhye sakalaṃ kalpyaṃ hi tadavirodhāya ||
padapakṣe'nekārthatādoṣaparihāravadvākyapakṣe'pi
saṃbhavati, puruṣasūktasya tattaddevatāpūjāyāṃ
viniyogenānekārthatvasyeṣṭatvāt | iyāṃstu viśeṣaḥ-tattatpūjāyāṃ
tasya tasyaivārthasya smaraṇaṃ puruṣasūkte prakṛte tu
sarveṣāmarthānāṃ smaraṇenaivādṛṣṭotpattiriti bhāvaḥ || 156, 157 ||
siddhe pramāṇadārḍhya ityatra dṛṣṭāntamāha-
yāgasya svargaṃ prati saṃsiddhe hetuhetumadbhāve |
tadanupapattiṃ nirasitumalaukikāpūrvamapi kḷptam || 158 ||
jyotiṣṭomena svargakāmo yajeta ityatra tṛtīyāśrutyā yāgasya
janakatve kāmyamānatayā svargasya janyatve ca bodhite'pi
bhinnakālīnayostadayogāddevatāprasādayāgadhvaṃsādinā'tra
nirvāhābhāvādapūrveṇaivānupapattinirāsa ityādi tantrāntareṣu
vistaraḥ || 158 ||

vidyāvarṇeyattoddhāraḥ kālastaduccāraḥ |

vidyāyāṃ varṇeyattā aṣṭapañcāśadrūpā varṇasaṃkhyā |

kālastrilavonaikatriṃśanmātrātmako vidyāyāḥ, ekalavonā
ūnatriṃśanmātrā uccāraṇasya | uccāraṇam ityevaṃ varṇānām
ityādisārdhaślokatrayeṇoktam | utapattisthānam kaṇṭhe ca
kaṇṭhatāluni ityatroktaṃ | yatno bāhyaścāntaraśca | rūpāditrayam
pralayāgninibham ityādinoktam | svaṃ rūpam vyaṣṭisamaṣṭivibhedāt
ityādinoktam vibhāvyamavasthāpañcakādi | artho
gāyatryarthādirūpaḥ |
imānyantaraṅgatvādupāsakānāmatyāvaśyikāni || 159, 159 ||

tripurasundarī | viniyoga iṣṭārthajanakatve | bījaṃ vāgbhavādi | śaktiḥ
parādiḥ | kīlakaṃ kāmarājādi | nyāsā ṛṣyādinyāsajālam |
dhyānam aruṇāṃ karuṇātaraṅgitākṣīm ityādinā kathitam |
niyamāḥ puṇḍrekṣudaṇḍabhakṣaṇavarjanasaṃkalpādayaḥ | pūjāḥ
prātrāsādanādiśāntistavāntā nityādibhedena trividhāḥ,
parādibhedādapi trividhāḥ, kevalādibhedāt pañcavidhā api | ādinā
homatarpaṇādiparigrahaḥ | etāni bahiraṅgatvenāvaśyikāni |
prasiddhakalpāni, īṣannyūnaprasiddhimanti | prāyaḥ
prasiddhānītyarthaḥ | kalpappratyayaḥ | tāni ca prakāśavarivasyāvidhau
prapañcitānyasmābhiḥ ato'tra granthe noktānīti bhāvaḥ || -160, 161 ||
durlabhamāntaramaṅgaṃ prāyo'ntarmukhajanaistadādṛtyam |
toṣāyaiṣā teṣāmataḥ pradiṣṭā rahasyavarivasyā || 162 ||
antarmukhairviṣayeṣvanāsaktacittairjanaiḥ | pradiṣṭopadiṣṭā,

vidyayoḥ pathi munipradiṣṭayoḥ iti kālidāsaprayogāt || 162 ||
etāmutsṛjya jaḍaiḥ kriyamāṇā bāhyaḍambaropāstiḥ |
prāṇavihīneva tanurvigalitasūtreva puttalikā || 163 ||
bāhyo ḍambaro'ṅgavistāro yasyāṃ sā |
prāṇasūtrayorantaraṅgatvāt tadabhāvena yathā tayorna
kāryakṣamatā tatheti bhāvaḥ || 163 ||
bījānmūlaṃ mūlāt kṣetrasyāntaḥsthabāhyavistārau |
yadyapyanayoḥ sāmyaṃ prādhānyamathāpi cāntaraṅgasya || 164 ||
bījāt kāmakalārūpāddhānyādirūpācca | mūlaṃ vṛkṣapādo
mantraśca | kṣetrasya śarīrasya kedārasya ca | yadyapyanayoḥ sāmyaṃ
bījajanyatvāviśeṣāt
tathāpi antaraṅganādo bāhyāṅgasihitavṛkṣanāśaḥ,
bāhyāṅgamātranāśe'pi na vṛkṣasya na vāntaraṅgasya nāśaḥ
ityasya prasiddhatvāditi bhāvaḥ || 164 ||
yadyapīmānyāvaśyikataratvādatra granthe nibaddhāni, tathā
pāṇḍityabalādetadgranthāvalokanādeva gurumanapekṣya svīkāraḥ pāpāyetyāha-
sadgurukulataḥ kṛpayā labdhā kāmāniyaṃ sūte |
nijabuddhimātrajanyā pāpaṃ kanyā yathā svīyā || 165 ||
pāpaṃ sūta ityanvyaḥ | sadguroḥ sundaraḥ sumukhaḥ svasthaḥ
ityāditantrarājoktalakṣaṇaviśiṣṭasya | kṛpayā sevājanitaprasādena,
pāraṃparyavihīnā ye jñānamātreṇa garvitāḥ |
teṣāṃ samayalopena vikurvanti marīcayaḥ ||
iti vacanāt | marīcayo ḍākinyādayaḥ | vikurvanti
dhātuvikāraprāpaṇena mārayantītyarthaḥ | kanyāpakṣe sadguruḥ
śvaśuraḥ || 165 ||
maṅgalādīni maṅgalamadhyāni maṅgalāntāni hi śāstrāṇi prathante

iti vacanādante maṅgalamāracayati-
akathāsanaṃ ha-lakṣāntaraṃ samāsādya māmakaṃ jñānam |
māmakamevānandaṃ mahyaṃ dadato jayanti gurucaraṇāḥ || 166 ||
kathānāṃ vācāmanāsanamaviṣayam |
vācyakakṣyāmatikrāntamiti yāvat | heti niścaye | lakṣasya lakṣaṇāyā
antaramavakāśo yasmiṃstat | pakṣe,
sahasrārapadmakarṇikāmadhyagatatrikoṇarekhā
ādikādithādiṣoḍaśārṇatrayarūpāḥ, tanmadhye koṇeṣu
hakārāditrayam, tatra tantreṣu gurudhyānaṃ kathitaṃ |
tādṛśamāsanamityarthaḥ | māsakamātmābhinnam || 166 ||
gūcarṇaikasahāyo bhāskararāyo jaganmātuḥ |
varivasyātirahasyaṃ vīranamasyaṃ prajagrantha || 167 ||
vīraiḥ, ahami raṇāṅgaṇa idamo vairiṇo nāśaṃ kurvāṇaiḥ
parāpañcāśikādau prasiddhaiḥ | iti sarvamanavadyam || 167 ||
vastu prastutamastu nistulamahaḥstomāstitāvāstu no
hastanyastasamastapustakabharadhvastāsadenastati |
śastasvastikṛdastadustaratamaḥ svastokasauvastikaṃ
gīstoyastanayitnusustanayugaṃ vāstoṣpatiprastutam ||
iti śrīmatpadavākyapramāṇapārāvārapārīṇasarvatantrasvatantra-
śrīnṛsiṃhānandanāthacaraṇāravindamilindena
śrīmadgambhīrarāyabhāratīdīkṣitātmajena
bhāskararāyāparanāmnā bhāsurānanda nāthena praṇītaṃ
savyākhyānaṃ varivasyārahasyaṃ saṃpūrṇam
