It is our pleasure to invite you to participate inthis very first innovative Joint ScientificMeeting of the College of Physicians and theCollege of Paediatrics of the Academy ofMedicine of Malaysia. This year, the Councilsof our two Colleges have resolved to develop
a sustainable CME/CPD event that will cater to the common needs of ourtrainees, members and our colleagues in the field of family medicines andprimary care.
The issues and challenges confronting us are quite the same. This joint meetingwill allow our members to work together for the advancement of training inpostgraduate medicine and paediatrics.
The First Joint Scientific Meeting will be held from 2nd to 3rd May 2009 atThe Legend Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. The Meeting will also incorporatean Annual Postgraduate Teaching Course in Medicine / Paediatrics that has beenspecially designed to guide our candidates preparing for their Master’sexamination. Experienced mentors including examiners will be at hand to helpcandidates polish up the finer points in examination skills and techniques.
The scientific content of the program will also include tracks in cardiology,diabetology, dermatology and common clinical issues in paediatrics. In addition,there will be nursing workshops dealing with emergency room nursing andintensive and critical care bundle.
We are confident that you will find this joint meeting meaningful andmemorable.
