Whereas, vide Notification No. PWD 166 SeSaki 2018, dated: 31.10.2019 the Karnataka Public Works Department Service (Special Recruitment of Assistant Engineers Grade-1 and Junior Engineers) Rules, 2019 in Notification No. PWD 166 SeSaki 2018, dated: 6th March, 2019 is now decided to annul and handed over the recruitment process of 600 Assistant Engineers Grade-1 and 325 Junior Engineers through the Karnataka Public Service Commission.

Now, therefore, the draft of the following rules which the Government

of Karnataka proposes to make in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 read with section 8 of the Karnataka State Civil Services Act, 1978 (Karnataka Act 14 of 1990) is hereby published as required by clause (a) of sub-section (2) of section 3 of the said Act, for the information of all persons likely to be affected thereby and notice is hereby given that the said draft rules will be taken into consideration after the expiry of fifteen days from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.

Any objection or suggestion which may be received by the State Government from any person with respect to the said draft rules before the expiry of the period specified above will be considered by the State Government. Objections and suggestions may be addressed to the Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Public Works, Ports and Inland Water Transport Department, Vikasa Soudha, Dr. Ambedkar Veedhi, Bengaluru-560 001.

DRAFT RULES

1. Title and commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Karnataka Public Works Department Service (Special Recruitment of Assistant Engineers Grade-1 and Junior Engineers) (Repeal) Rules, 2020.

(2) They shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from 31st

October 2019.

2. Repeal of the Karnataka Public Works Department Service (Special Recruitment of Assistant Engineers Grade-1 and Junior Engineers) Rules, 2019.- The Karnataka Public Works Department Service (Special Recruitment of Assistant Engineers Grade-1 and Junior Engineers) Rules, 2019 is hereby repealed and deemed to have been repealed with effect from 31st October 2019.
