BHARATIYA VIDYA BHAVAN was established in

1938 by Kulapati Dr. Kanhaiyalal Maneklal Munshi (1887-

1971), as a shrine of Indian Culture. It has 117 Kendras, 6

centres abroad and more than 360 educational institutions all

over the world.

BHAVAN’S COLLEGE, ANDHERI is one of the

august college of Mumbai University with arts, science and

commerce streams. The College was established in 1946 by

Kulapati Dr. K. M. Munshiji as a constituent institution of

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, dedicated to Life, Literature and

Culture. The College is a centre for studying from

undergraduate degree to Doctorate degree. In 2016 the college

has been reaccredited with ‘A’ grade by the NAAC. Today, the

College enrols over 8000 students in programmes leading to

B.A., B.Com. B.Sc., BMS, BMM, BSc IT degrees.

DEPARTMENT OF BOTANY- The department of

Botany is one of the oldest departments of the College. The

department provides good nurture ground for the students of

B.Sc, M.Sc, M. Phil and Ph.D. The major focus areas are Plant

anatomy, Mycology, Embryology, cytogenetic, Molecular

Biology etc.

• Any other topic relevant to the theme of the seminar

Font size 12 and spacing 1.5 line space on A4 size paper to be
