2. AND WHEREAS, no objection or suggestion has been received by the Government inrespect to the said Draft Notification;

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 274 read. with Sub-section (3) of section 63 of the Guj arat Panchayats Act, 1993 (Guj.18 of 1993), theGovernment of Gujarat hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Gujarat PanchayatsElection of President of Taluka Panchayat (Manner of Allotment of Reserved Offices of Presidentby Rotation) Rules, 1994, namely:-

1. These rules may be called the Gujarat Panchayats Election of President of Taluka Panchayat

(Manner of Allotment of Reserved Offices of President by Rotation) (Amendment) Rules,

2015.

2. In the Gujarat Panchayats Election of President of Taluka Panchayat (Manner of Allotmentof Reserved Offices of President by Rotation) Rules, 1994 (hereinafter referred to as "the

said rulesl'), in rule 5, in sub-rule (3), for the words "one third", the words "as nearly as may

be one-half " shall be Substituted.

3. In the said rules, in rule 6, in sub-rule (3), for the words "one third", the words "as flearly hs

may be one-half " shall be substituted.

Government of Gujarat hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Gujarat

Village Panchayats Election (Manner of Allotment of Reserved Seats by Rotation) Rules,
