Single-beam, diffrac- tion grating type, a.c. line operated, with fixed bandpass of 2 πΐμ, usable in ultraviolet range down to 200 τημ. Provides adequate resolution for routine analytical, clinical, and control applica- tions. Phototube is dual range type covering total range from 200 to 900 τη μ . Changeover from deuterium to tungsten lamp is made by fingertip lever operation. Energy recording at fixed wave- length is made possible by output at rear panel terminals. Linear Wavelength Control. Absorption cell holder takes four 10 mm light path cells with outside dimensions 12.5 χ 12.5 χ 48 mm high. Holder also takes cells with 5 mm light path or, by removing central partition, 20 mm light path cells. Compartment length allows use of cells with up to 100 mm light path. Recorder-Readout Provision. Rear panel terminals provide full-scale signal of 10 millivolts for a poten- tiometric recorder, and 1 volt for a digital voltmeter.
