Activities performed: KEPL is a 4 lane expressway project of Rohtak-Bawal section of NH-71 in the State of
Haryana. The total length of the highway is 85 km. The project is jointly managed by BRNL (Srei) and JMC
groups.
Key responsibility assigned is to study the infrastructure gaps, to monitor and analyze traffic study results, to give
proposal for fixing the major root causes and to prepare presentation for the remedies. The works associated are
to analyze the monthly Traffic and Revenue variation with different micro analysis, to analyze the variation in
exemption traffic and suggesting proposals for minimization of the same, to discuss various issues with SPV for
any infrastructure requirements which would result in increasing of traffic on corridor, to have intermittent
observations for any traffic leakage in corridor and to provide suggestions on the same, to manage for any

selected stretch in view of Detailed Engineering Designs. Key outcomes was of some modifications proposed for
Bus Rapid Transport lane, proposal for including Cycle track of 3.5m wide at junctions to encourage non-
motorized vehicles and cyclists, provision proposed for footpath of 3.4m wide for safe pedestrian movement.
Prepared a Methodological framework for Intelligent Transport system and elaborating the role of ITS for effective
transport operations, highlighted its importance and acute requirement in public transport operations and impact of
its effectiveness in enhancing feasibility with users using the system.

Construction of Silos” for 11 locations Pan India. The study was focused on procurement of wheat as a commodity
with bulk movement by rail from the proposed Silo Complex. The major objective of the study was to primarily

access the demand of wheat at regional level so as to decide the procurement capacity of proposed Silo
Complex. The infrastructure requirement and layouts of typical Silo Complex was also studied. Suggestions were
given for estimated future quantity which the facility can cater, its proposed layout in form of Architectural
drawings and options for providing Full/Half Rake Rail facility in the facility for fast access and dispersal of
commodity.

Plan” for the state of Uttar Pradesh which includes assessment of different facilities and growth parameters
(Demography, Socio-Economic Indicators, Transport Data, Industries, Agriculture, Social Infrastructure,
Telecommunication facilities and other facilities), Assessment of Transport System Characteristics, Study of
Traffic Characteristics, Modeling Approach and Inputs, Transport Demand Forecast and Evaluation of Alternate
Network Scenarios, Drafting out the Strategic Core Network with its economic evaluation and recommending the
Institutional Strategies for efficiently processing the master plan. The major outcome of this study was focused on
to reduce the growth imparity between each district of the state and having sustainable infrastructure and
economic development. The study included the architectural drawings of future potential traffic potential bands
and also to understand the corridor formation for seamless traffic travel and up gradation of different hierarchy of
roads to align for development in single phase. It was an essential exercise to demonstrate the client about the
phasing of development and the alignment of budget for this type of development.

Worked on preparation of “Inception Report”, “Location Assessment Report”, “Concept Plan” and contributed in

The focus of the study was to prepare development plan for Pithampur–Dhar–Mhow Investment Region and to
carryout pre-feasibility for selected projects and feasibility study for identified early Bird projects in Madhya
Pradesh sub-region of DMIC. The facility planning was one of the major outcomes in form of architectural
drawings and as an architect my role was to justify the spaces planned to cater the existing and futuristic demand
of EXIM traffic with all the associated activities in it. All other drawings including locations for surveys, different
scale of facilities proposed for different direction of travel of EXIM traffic and to analyze the best fitted location to
locate the multimodal facility connected from all types of travel modes.

Main project features: Study different housing Settlement across Delhi, Comparing road infrastructure in all
these areas, deriving some ideal indices with would be sustainable for all types of users.
Position held: Planning Student
Activities performed: As Transport Planner this research topic was conceived as the blend of architecture up
gradation with Transport Planning Policy. Surveys were conducted to understand the road hierarchy, support
facility, different category of user residing in that area, supporting facility present in a limited radius and the road
infrastructure present. Major task was to derive some indices between the walk trips and vehicle trips, to
understand and the balance between trips and provided infrastructure for safe and efficient circulation. Some
innovative proposal blended was of design inclusion in existing road infrastructure for children’s, old age and
disabled peoples which prompted the feeling of safety and easiness of travel along with vehicular movement. The
infrastructure indices were presented in a table and comparative format were made for each type of case study
developments. The attempt was appreciated by the jury as an innovative step to think upon at micro level
infrastructure planning for providing a balance to all type of trips within a neighborhood to make it an ideal.

Activities performed: As Transport Planner was responsible for assessing the demand and supply gap of public
transport need, conducting surveys for various Public Transport routes for existing Bus systems, analyzing the
major land use pattern for predicting future trips for public transport, conducting inventory survey to understand
the capacity of infrastructure, analyzing the fare structure vis a vis distance travelled, predicting the fleet
requirement and capacity for future trips.
Along with proposing various routes and potential stops for bus system in Gurgaon it was proposed to induce
INTELLIGENT TRANSPORT SYSTEM in various phases to maintain the services more efficient and smart. A
three phase system was proposed in which all the buses fleet, all bus stops and all users will be interconnected
with the bus timings of arrival and departures, information’s of route and frequency and with online booking and
cancellations of tickets.

Main project features: Study of existing engineering design, Estimation of on-surface parking Condition, Study
of major establishment and traffic inbound to corridor for estimation of future traffic demand, Proposal for
Immediate, Short term and Long Terms improvement in Road Geometry, Alternate linkages proposed in severe
load conditions for dispersal of traffic in multidirectional.
Position held: Planning Student
Activities performed: As Transport Planner was responsible for assessing the existing engineering design of the
road encompassing cyber city and to propose the shortcomings and different improvement measures for the
same. This project was important to understand the capacity and design of infrastructure which could sustain the
existing traffic load as well as upcoming traffic on corridor for future years. Since the corridor was of commercial
and institutional landuse orient, the traffic junctions, u-turns, secondary collector & distributor road, access and
dispersal nodes, smooth curves, secondary & tertiary arterial road system was proposed to be such designed that
traffic should not be interrupted to create any bottleneck or choke conditions.
