late Vina yak R Prasade j i of Am barnath , M aharashtra . He named th e paddhat i as Prav i r w h ich isa com posi t ion of a new w ord by t aking f i rst a lphabets of h is name. This paddhati do esn t n eed any

accurate det ai ls of t he bir th t im e or location. Even i f th e TOB is w rong by 30 to 60 m inut es the

predict ion is very mu ch l ikely to be correct. This paddh ati w orks on the t ransi t of th e Sun on the dat e of

b ir t h w i th respect to i t s location in var ious nakshatras.

W e see that t hese days ther e are many astro logical theor ies & m any branches of each. These theor iesneed very h igh accuracy of b ir th de tai ls & com put ing system s. We oft en see that after shredding

m inut es into seconds, the predict ion is not that m uch accurate & m any t im es fa i ls very miserably. In

such a scenar io, i f w e look at the Pravir Paddhati , wh ich can give almo st 85 + % correct predict io ns &

tha t t oo w i th on ly da te o f b i r th is rea lly amazing & un ique. M a in features o f th is paddhat i can be

m ent ioned as under .

1) This Paddhat i needs only date of b ir th & not hing else. For faster w ork one can use com put erprogram to check planetary condi t ion s as needed for th is theo ry but i t is not necessary.

2) This theo ry can be w orked w ith t he help of only some t ables & Panchanga.3) This paddhati can be learnt b y anybody w ith in a shor t per io d.4) Astrologers w i th less educational qual i f icat ions can also achieve confidence in pr edict ions.5) There is not hing based on spir i tual i ty, in t u i t ion or urge of anyb ody & very less chances of

m istakes in the pr edict ions are seen unless one m akes m istake in using som e rule i t self .

Everyth ing in l i fe gets prod uced & destructed due t o t ransi t of t he Sun. Al l events in our l i fe are based on

the location o f t he Sun in t he zodiac w ith r espect t o nakshatras. Not o nly a single persons l i fe events,

but a lso i t can indicate im port ant dat es in l i fe of 4 ear l ier generat ions. In Pravir Paddhati t here is no big

impo r tance given to any o f t he p lanets & everyth ing is based on t he Sun & i ts t ransi t t h rough thenakshatras. Date o f m arr iage, date of b ir th of children & m any other t h ings can a lso be w orked out b y

using th is theory bu t now w e w i ll rest r ict our s tudy to w ork ing out date o f death only .

Pravir Paddhati w orks on transi t of t he Sun t hro ugh di f fer ent stars (nakshatras) & t here is an exclusive

w ay o f wr i t ing the sta r cond i t ions on t he day o f b i r th . I t i s to ta l ly d if fe ren t f rom w hat w e have been

doing or th in king in var ious system s of astro logy.

Instead o f go ing in to d e ta i ls o f t heore t ical th ink ing o f t he or ig inal au thor , w e w i l l t ry to understand how

to m ake Prav i r char ts & ho w the da tes o f death can be ob ta ined f rom these char ts. We can have a

discussion on t heoret ical part la ter on i f need ed. There are preferably seven w ays to show the u seful

star condi t ions on t he dat e of b ir th . These are called as :

1) Janma Tarikh Nakshtra2) Janm a Ravi Nakshtr a3) Samagam an N akshtr a4) Garbha Dharana Nakshtr a5) Garbha Vrudd hi Nakshtr a6) Garbha Saal Nakshtr a7) Janm a Saal Naksht ra

There are few tables made to help astro logers to f ind o ut easi ly the seven above ment ioned nakshatrasf rom the da te o f b i r th o f anybody. Al l tab les are separa ted in four a t tachments. In one a t t achm ent w e

have all Ready Reckoner Tables (RR 1, RR 2,RR 3 et c) & in ot her at tachm ent w e have Solved Examp les

(218 Nos) In the t h i rd a t tachment w e have Stud y Charts (SC 1, SC 2 etc) & in t he four th attachm ent w e

have JPEF im age s of b ir th charts. These chart im ages are having big f i le size. I have to reduce th e f i le size

& do num ber ing in b ig fon t . Th is m ay take som e t im e. These wi l l be sent w hen comple ted & i f needed.

Janm a Tarikh Na kshtra m eans the b i r th da te (1 to 31 on ly , mont h / year neglected) conver ted in to

nakshtr as. W e have 27 nakshtr as in th e zodiac. The bir t h dates can be anyth ing from 1 to 28/ 31. For 1 t o

27 dates the ser ia l num ber of t he nakshtr a & d ates match exactly. For 28 t o 31 dates we have to u se

again Ashvin i to Rohini in ser ial order. W e can say that f i rst 4 nakshtras have 2 dates al located & oth ers

have one date each. Supp ose your b ir th d ate is 21 st August, 1956, you w i l l take only 21 & neglect the

m ont h & year. Your Janm a Tar ikh Nakshtra w i l l be Utt arashadha (21st Nakshtra star t in g from Ashvin i =

1) For a dat e 29, w e w i l l have to use Bharani nakshtr a again & our Janm a Tar ikh Nakshtra w i l l be Rohini .

Thus, Janm a Tar ikh N akshtr a of a l l bo rn o n 21 st o f A N Y M O N TH or AN Y YEAR w il l be Utt arashadha only.

Al l nakshtras have charans also. They can be any fr om 1 to 4 but only fo r Janm a Tar ikh Nakhstra, the

Janm a Ravi Nakshtra m eans the nakshtra th ro ugh wh ich the Sun was t ransi t ing on th e da te o f b i r t h .

W e see th at th e Sun Transi t is f ixed for each date of Engl ish calendar & ther e is very less d i f ference of

degrees. Norm al ly the Sun star t s transi t in Ashvin i charan 1 (M esh sign, zero d egrees) on 14t h

Apr i l o fany year but th e Pravir Paddhati boo k, from w hich I have col lected t h is know ledge has some di f f erent

th ink ing . The Sun is considered to be start ing transit thro ugh Ashvini Charan 1 on 22 n d April of any year

instead of 14 t h April. I t r ied to know w hy there is a d i f fe rence o f 8 days bu t cou ldn t know . Then I

decided to take t h is as i t is because i t w as giving sat isfacto ry resul ts. I got date w ise location o f t he Sun

& by sl id ing i t by 8 days I made a Ready Reckoner Table No RR 02 for easy reference. In th is table you

have to use only date & m ont h. Year is neglected. Suppose you w ere born on 21st August, 1956, you w i l l

neg lect the year & take on ly 21 st August. You w i l l see that Janm a Ravi Nakshtr a for t he date 21st August

is 9 Ashlesha 3 M ercury

Sam agaman N akshtra m eans the n akshtr a obtained by adding 27 t o Janm a Ravi Nakshtr a charan &divid ing by 4. I f you r Janm a Ravi Naksht ra is 1 Ashw ini Ch 1 , add 27 to i t & you w i l l ge t Charan No 28 (27

b i r th year is 1956, you have to take on ly 56 & fo rge t 19 . This is ap plicable to all yea rs in all cent uries.

yogas are exactly same as we consider in t radi t ion al astro logy. Kendra Yoga 1 & 2 are sam e by m eaning

except t heir d i rect ions of coun ting degrees. Suppo se w e have M esh 150 under considerat ion, i t w i l l have

Kendra Yoga 1 w ith Kark 15 o & Kendra Yoga 2 wi th M akar 150 . In Pravir charts w e are using nakshtras &

charan num bers instead of degrees.

Shadashtak Yoga & Ashtam Yoga are a lso simi lar t o yogas in tradi t ional astro logy except th eir d i rect ion

them separately & check th e values of nakshtras m aking aspects wi t h them . In our exam ple, Janm aTarikh Naksht ra is 3 Krut tik a 3 Sun. In t he Ready Reckon er Table No RR 05 there is a co lum n w i th

head ing Concerned Nakshtra In th is co lum n, in the sam e row o f Kru t t ika 3 , you wi l l f ind o t her 5

how i t can be f i l led or u sed w e need to u nderstand som e Pravir Terms. These term s are as under :

Kendrayogi Ank Our l i fe is d ivided in fou r part s. Chi ldhood , youth , midd le age, o ld age. In the zodiac

ther e are 108 charans. I f w e divide 108 by 4, we w i l l get star t in g charans of 4 char rashis & t he ser ial

num bers of these charans wi l l b e 0-27-54-81. These are cal led as Kendrayogi Ank . I f w e add the

num ber of n akshtr a (which is making evi l aspects) to o ne of t hese Kendrayogi Ank, w e w i l l get Age at

w h ich the event w i l l happen. (Here in o ur all cases the event is dea th .)

Sthiranka There is a d i f ference of 8 charans betw een Sayana & Nirayana Sun transi t . (This is taken as i t is

w i thout m aking any al te ra t ion to w hat is w r i t ten in the boo k) If w e add th is to Kendrayogi Ank w e get

4 figur es. These w il l be 8-35-62-89. These are called as Sthiranka W hen we add the number o f a

nakshtr a (which is making evi l aspects) to one of th ese sth irankas, w e w i l l get year when some even t

w i l l take place.

Kendrayogi Ank (0-27-54-81 ) & Sthirank (8-35-6 2-89) rem ain sam e for all charts of all persons born o n

any date .

Year This is the year ( in last 2 d ig i ts) in w hich the even t is like ly to happ en. W e can get t hese by adding

ser ial num ber of any nakshtra to sth iranka (8-35-62-89). Suppo se we add 25 (consider ing 25 PurvaFalguni as the act ivated nakshtr a) to Sthirank (8-35-62-89) we w i l l get 4 years w hen t he person is like ly

to d ie. Here in our case the years w i l l be 8+25=33 , 35+25=60 , 62+25=7 8 , 89+25=1 1 4 . These are th ecalendar years. We have t o use comm on sense to select one o f t hese years.

Age This is the age of person in com pleted years at the t im e of death . Suppo se a person w as born on 25

Septem ber 1947 & d ied on 18 Decemb er 2008, the age at w h ich he d ied wi l l be 2008-1947=61. I wou ld

l ike to b r ing your a t ten t ion to one im por tan t th ing in th is calcu la t ion . The m onths in these ca lcu la t ions

can m ake a d if fe rence o f one year i f no t understood proper ly . We h ave to consider 12 mon ths f rom

January to December o f t he da tes o f b i r th / death . I f the p erson d ies afte r his birthda y, the calculat ion

rem ains sam e as show n abo ve but i f the person d ies before h is b ir thday, w e need to d educt 1 f rom

the a bove calculat ion. Suppose if the person in t he above exam ple d ied on 2 M arch 2008 & as M arch

always com es before h is b ir thd ay (Septem ber) the age at w hich he died w i l l be 2 0 0 8 - 1 9 47 - 1 =6 0 ( & no t

For de term inat ion the m onth o f the event , we have to see the t ransi t o f the Sun t h rough som e act ive

nakshtr as. This g ives us the m ont h. Suppo se we t h ink Bharani & Krutt ika are t he act ive nakshtras, we

w i l l see the m ont hs in w hich the Sun tr ansi ts thro ugh Bharani & Krutt ika. Then is i t w i l l be clear that t he

m ont h is M ay (of any sui table year) To m ake th is sim pler, I have made Ready Reckoner Table No RR 08

For de term inat ion o f da te (1 t o 31) again w e have to chose some act ive nakshtra & the ser ial num ber o f

the n akshtr a wi l l d i rect ly g ive the dat e. (You m ay use th e same t able of Janm a Tar ikh Nakshtr a RR 01 )

W i th th is much in fo rm at ion , I don t th ink there shou ld be any prob lem in us ing the fo rm ula .

Now , f rom th e above in fo rm at ion , one w i l l th ink there are many nakshtras in the char t & how can w e

f ind ou t t he e f fect ive nakshtras ? W hat a re the ru les to de term ine them ? To know th is we w i l l see one

by one ru les that m ake som e planet as an indicator. From here onw ards w e w i l l cal l the planet s as

indicators w ho ind icate th e da te in any fo rm (Date , year , age or m onth) th r ough the i r s ta rs

Now le t us see the ru les tha t can m ake som e p lanet ind ica tor o f the da te .

Rule No 1 I t is observed th at on ly the lor ds of th e nakshtras that appear in the Pravir Style Bir th chart

can be indicators of the dat e. ( Instead of sim ply saying som ethin g as a ru le I wor ked out the actual

percentages that w ere obt ained after p assing of each ru le. For t h is ru le i t is 87.79 %. For detai ls you m ay

To know the second ru le , w e w i l l have to s tudy sectors. These sector s are t he por t ion s of th e zodiac in

w hich, p lanets i f p laced, mo st l ike ly to becom e indicators. There are 8 secto rs of 30 0 each as you can see

in the be low p ic tu re . To know f rom w here any sector s ta r ts & w here i t ends, we w i l l have to considerthe Sun at t he centre of the sector B. In any chart , let t he Sun be in a ny sign or an y degree, w il l be

considered t o be at t he centre o f sector B only. Thus, i f w e add & subtract 15 0 in the Sun longi tu de, we

w i l l get range of sector B & any planet p laced w ith in t h is range wi l l be considered as a p lanet p laced in

Pravir sector & m ay indicate som e detai ls of th e date. In a simi lar m anner you w i l l be able to und erstand

& f ix the range of each sector w hich is d irect ly re lated to t he longi tud e of th e Sun. For every d i f ferent

chart, according t o t he Sun lo ngi tude, degrees of a l l sector s wi l l a lso change. Al l p lanets p laced in the 8

sector s w i l l be the prob able indicator s but the area under sectors is near ly 67% & out of 9 p lanets w e

m ay get near ly 6 p lanets as prob able indicator s. Does t hat m ean al l 6 p lanets w i l l indicate th e detai ls of

the d ate ? The answ er is N o The reason is, p lanets p laced at t he out er edges of t he sector s have lesser

strength & planets p laced very close to t he centre of t he sector have mor e stren gth. One m ore th ing is

tha t some planet s, i f fulf i l ling som e ot her condit ion s (& even if th ey are no t placed in any sectors) wil l

be indicato rs. These ru les wi l l be expla ined one by one. To know the range of sector s, I have made a

Ready Reckoner Table. We have to neglect the m inut es & seconds of th e Sun longi tu des & from these

longi tud es we can get range of sector s instant ly. Please refer Table No RR 06

Rule No 2 The planet p laced in any sectors are most pr one to b e indicators of the dat e (any det ai l of

date). This means the planets w hose stars have appeared in t he Pravir chart & w ho are p laced in som e

sectors as w e l l w i l l be m ore prone to be ind icator o f t he da te . (Percentage of passing of th is ru le is

7 8 .7 5 %. In 218 examples, we have 872 detai ls. 152 are fa i lures. Out of the r em aining 720 correct

predict ion s 567 have passed th is condi t ion . For d etai ls you m ay see Stud y chart No SC 02 One impo r tan t

th ing I w ou ld l i ke to m ent ion t ha t t hough t he percentage is apparent ly look ing less, i t doesn t m ean

fai lures are m ore. The reason is, som e oth er p lanets have becom e indicators due to f u l f i l l ing condi t ions

of some o t her ru les)

Rule No 3 For Sun, the ru le o f sectors doesn t apply because in each & every chart t he Sun is p laced atthe centr e of th e sector B only. Sun being th e sole contro l ler of th e solar system, is m ost imp ort ant,

Saturn being the karaka of death is a lso im port ant, Rahu Ketu being th e nodes are a lso im port ant. I t is

observed that w hen t he Sun is p laced in star or sign of Saturn/ Rahu/ Ketu/ h is ow n, the Sun is m ore

pron e to be an indicator. In very few cases the Sun w as seen in navam amsa of Sat/ Rah/ Ket. (Percentage

of p assing of th is ru le is 9 3 .4 2 % For det ai ls you m ay see Stud y chart N o SC 03 )

Rule No 4 I t is seen t hat some p lanets, especia lly Rahu, Ketu & Satur n can becom e indicators even i f

the y are not p laced in any sectors. I t is observed t hat declinat ion of the Sun on the da te o f b i r th p lays a

signi f icant ro le in m aking Rahu, Ketu, Saturn act ive indicators. The ru le is that i f decl inat ion of t he Sun is

betw een + 6.00 & -6.00 (via 0 degree) or +16.00 & +23.45 or -16.00 & -23.45, Rahu, Ketu , Satur n arem ost l ike ly to be indicators of t he event d ate. Furt her i t is seen th at i f degrees of Sun decl inat ion are

close to 0 or +/ -23.45 the chances are even m ore. (Percentage of passing of t h is ru le is 8 7 .0 9 % For

Rule No 5 I t is seen that speed of p lanet s (slow , fast) or d irect ion o f m otion ( for w ard or retr ograde)

don t have any signi f icant ro le in making a p lanet ind icator of d ate but w hen a planet is stat ionary it

becom es act ive t o indicate some det ai l of the date by b ecomin g sel f as indicator or b y act ivat ing star

lord or sign lord in w hose sign/ star i t is p laced. In our study, ou t of 218 exam ples, in 25 examp les som e

planet was stat ionary & out of 25 cases, 21 t im es th is ru le has passed (i r respective of cond i t ion w heth er

i t is p laced in some sector or not ) (Percentage of passing of th is ru le is 8 4 % For d etai ls you m ay see

of t he Pravir b i r t h chart. The divid ing l ine is passing after th e f i rst colum n (betw een 1 st & 2nd column) w e

w i l l have 2 par ts . We w i l l ca ll them Lef t & r igh t par ts .

Second th in g we have to u nderstand t hat t here are tr iangles m ade by each nakshtr a. Ashvin i , M agha,

M ool (of Ketu) w i l l m ake a tr iangle. Simi lar ly a l l p lanets wi l l m ake tr iangles of t heir ow n nakshtras. To

resu l ts . I saw t he theory w as ext remely d i f f i cu l t t o understand (even to M arath i m other t ongue

As ment ioned ear l ie r in some o f m y m ails to t he fo rum , the percentage o f passing o f the r u les is not 100

% . Looking at t he solved exam ples in the b ook, I had a w rong im pression about the p ercentages. Wh en I

sta r ted learn ing & go ing in to the dept hs o f the theory, I rea l ized tha t there w ere som e data m istakes or

some pr in t ing/ calculat ion mistakes in the bo ok. I col lected al l data again & w orked indep endent ly. Then

I cam e to know tha t the percentage o f d i f fe ren t ru les is be tween 80 & 90 % rough ly . Though not 100 %, I

th ink th is is a lso no t b ad & w e together can f ind ye t som e new th ings in i t .

Out o f the f i rs t 5 m a in ru les there w as hard ly any ru le c lear ly ment ioned in the book. I found them f rom

the solved examples, f ixed them in som e clear cut language. Som e rules (not m ention ed in the boo k butI have found ou t) have taken m onths o f t h ink ing & very pa in fu l hard w ork o f t housands o f observa t ions

& m aking notes of i t . I know , saying som ethin g as a ru le has NO M EANING unless i t is suppo rted by

som e exam ples. I have t r ied m y best t o do i t . I am sure , I too m ust have m ade som e m istakes in w r i t ing

th is , bu t I hope w hatever I have wr i t ten w i l l he lp o ther m embers to take the s tudy to even upper level .

Stud ying the theo ry, m aking the 21 8 Pravir charts m anual ly, making Ready Reckoner Tables, f inding

percentages of passing of th e ru les was a b ig w ork fo r m e. You m ight know that I am a civi l engineer &

doing a job in a pr ivate com pany. I t was just im possib le to do th is in cont inuation o f even 30 m inut es at

a t ime but som ehow I managed to f in ish i t .

o f m ar r iage, da te o f b i r th o f ch i ld ren f rom the da te o f b i r t h on ly . I f my study (death pred ic t ion) is li ked

This theo ry has got so m any th ings to be d iscovered yet. Please do n ot t ry to p redict date of death

unless you ha ve your ow n solved hun dreds of exam ples, achieved good confidence & either th e age of

the person is 80+ ye ars or the person is having som e severe injuries due to an a ccident or suffering

from non curable disease. Even th ough th ese condi t io ns are m arching, avoid te l l ing the exact date &

you just can say that next few days are very d i f f icu l t to you.
