SRI MAHA RUDRA YAGNA PATRIKA

(11.09.2013 – 13.09.2013)

About 2500 years ago, in this sacred land of Bharat, Sri Adi Sankara Bhagavadpada, who incarnated in Kalady and accepted asceticism at a tender age, established, in the course of his yatra from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, the Kamakoti Peeta in the holy city of Kanchi. Since then many Mahatmas have reigned from this blessed Peeta.

It is in this lineage of Sri Adi Sankara Paramparaagata Moolaamnaaya Sri Kanchi Kamakoti

Acharyas, that Sri Sri Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswati Swamigal, became the the 68th Peetathipathi at the age of 13 and for a hundred years added glory to it, as the veritable embodiment of its spiritual treasure. From the day he ascended the Peeta, this divine incarnation guided humanity on the path to liberation. His yatra covered the whole of Bharat and was always by foot. Not differentiating between man and man in terms of caste, creed or religion, his sacred feet were imprinted in the remotest villages and unknown hamlets, and he made all his own by his grace, love and compassion. Our Kanchi Sri Mahaswami is the only one who is venerated by all alike, by those that belong to other religions and countries as well.

Seated amidst the lineage of his Masters, at Sri Maha Swami Tapovanam in Govindapuram, near

Tiruvidaimarudur which is known as Madhyarjuna kshetram, Sri Maha Periyava showers his grace on all those who seek him. By the infinite grace of Sri Sri Sri Maha Swamigal, whose divine presence is forever with us as an unfailing refuge, in this auspicious year of Vijaya, in the month of Avani (11.09.2013, 12.09.2013 & 13.09.2013), Sri Maha Rudra Yagna will be performed at Sri Maha Swami Tapovanam, so that relieved from the disasters of nature and its consequent ravages, the world may be blessed with peace, all may gain prosperity and righteousness may reign.

We pray that all devotees participate in this Yagna and be blessed both by the Grace of the Masters

and the Grace of the Almighty.

Kanchi Maha Swami Seva Samithi.
