Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 213 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Karnataka is pleased to promulgate the following Ordinance, namely:-

1. Short title and commencement.-(1) This Ordinance may be called the Industrial Disputes and Certain other laws (Karnataka Amendment) Ordinance, 2020.

(2) It shall come into force at once.

2. Amendment of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947.- In the

Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (Central Act No.14 of 1947), in section 25K,-

(i) in sub-section (1), for the words "one hundred", the words "three

hundred", shall be substituted; and

(ii) in sub-section (1A), for the words "one hundred", the words "three

hundred", shall be substituted.

3. Amendment of the Factories Act, 1948.- In the Factories Act, 1948

(Central Act No.63 of 1948),-

(1) in section 2, in clause (m),-

(i) in item (i) for the words "ten or more", the words "twenty or more",

shall be substituted; and

(ii) in item (ii), for the words "twenty or more", the words "forty or more",

shall be substituted.

(2) in section 65, in sub section (3) in clause (iv) for the words

“seventy five” the words “one hundred and twenty five” shall be substituted.

4. Amendment of the Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition)

Act, 1970.- In the Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970 (Central

Act No.47 of 1970), in section 1, in sub-section (4) in item (a) for the words

"twenty or more", the words "fifty or more", shall be substituted.

Ordered that the translation of the Industrial Disputes and certain other Laws (Karnataka Amendment) Ordinance, 2020 (Karnataka Ordinance 15 of 2020) in Kannada language, be published as authorized by the Governor of Karnataka under section 5A of the Karnataka Official Language Act, 1963 in the Karnataka Gazette for general information.

The following translation of the Industrial Disputes and certain other Laws (Karnataka Amendment) Ordinance, 2020 (Karnataka Ordinance 15 of 2020) in Kannada language is published in the Official Gazette under the authority of the Governor of Karnataka under section 5A of the Karnataka Official Language Act, 1963.

ಮನದಟಾಟಗರುವುದರಂದ;

ಈಗ, ಭಾರತ ಸಂ ಧಾನದ 213ನೕ ಅನುಚಛೕದದ (1)ನೕ ಖಂಡದ ಮೂಲಕ ಪರದತತವಾದ ಅಧಕಾರವನುನ

ಚಲಾಯ ಕನಾರಟಕದ ರಾಜಯಪಾಲರು ಈ ಮುಂದನ ಅಧಾಯದೕಶವನುನ ಪರಖಾಯಪ ದಾದರ, ಎಂದರ:-

1. ಸಂ ಪತ ಹಸರು ಮತುತ ಪಾರರಂಭ.- (1) ಈ ಅಧಾಯದೕಶವನುನ ಕೖಗಾರಕಾ ವಾದಗಳು ಮತುತ ಕಲವು

ಇತರ ಕಾನೂನುಗಳ (ಕನಾರಟಕ ತದುದಪಡ) ಅಧಾಯದೕಶ, 2020 ಎಂದು ಕರಯತಕಕದುದ.

(2) ಇದು ಈ ಕೂಡಲೕ ಜಾರಗ ಬರತಕಕದುದ.

2. ಕೖಗಾರಕಾ ವಾದಗಳ ಅಧನಯಮ, 1947ರ ತದುದಪಡ.- ಕೖಗಾರಕಾ ವಾದಗಳ ಅಧನಯಮ,

1947ರ (1947ರ ಕೕಂದರ ಅಧನಯಮ ಸಂ. 14) 25ಕ ಪರಕರಣದ ಲ,-

(i) (1)ನೕ ಉಪಪರಕರಣದ ಲ “ಒಂದು ನೂರು” ಎಂಬ ಪದಗ ಗ “ಮೂರು ನೂರು” ಎಂಬ ಪದಗಳನುನ

ಪರತ ೕಜಸತಕಕದುದ; ಮತುತ

(ii) (1ಎ) ಉಪಪರಕರಣದ ಲ “ಒಂದು ನೂರು” ಎಂಬ ಪದಗ ಗ “ಮೂರು ನೂರು” ಎಂಬ ಪದಗಳನುನ

ಪರತ ೕಜಸತಕಕದುದ.

3. ಕಾಖಾರನಗಳ ಅಧನಯಮ, 1948ರ ತದುದಪಡ.- ಕಾಖಾರನಗಳ ಅಧನಯಮ, 1948ರ ಲ (1948ರ

ಕೕಂದರ ಅಧನಯಮ ಸಂ. 63),-

(1) 2ನೕ ಪರಕರಣದ (ಎಂ) ಖಂಡದ ಲ,-

(i) (i)ನೕ ಬಾಬು ನ ಲ “ಹತುತ ಅಥವಾ ಹಚಚನ” ಎಂಬ ಪದಗ ಗ “ಇಪಪತುತ ಅಥವಾ ಹಚಚನ”ಎಂಬ

ಪದಗಳನುನ ಪರತ ೕಜಸತಕಕದುದ; ಮತುತ

(ii) (ii)ನೕ ಬಾಬು ನ ಲ “ಇಪಪತುತ ಅಥವಾ ಹಚಚನ” ಎಂಬ ಪದಗ ಗ “ನಲವತುತ ಅಥವಾ ಹಚಚನ”ಎಂಬ

ಪದಗಳನುನ ಪರತ ೕಜಸತಕಕದುದ.

(2) 65ನೕ ಪರಕರಣದ (3)ನೕ ಉಪಪರಕರಣದ ಲನ (iv)ನೕ ಖಂಡದ ಲ “ಎಪಪತದು” ಎಂಬ ಪದಗ ಗ

“ಒಂದು ನೂರಾ ಇಪಪತದು” ಎಂಬ ಪದಗಳನುನ ಪರತ ೕಜಸತಕಕದುದ.

4. ಗುತತಗ ಕಾಮರಕರ (ನಯಂತರಣ ಮತುತ ರದದಯಾತ) ಅಧನಯಮ, 1970ರ ತದುದಪಡ.- ಗುತತಗ

ಕಾಮರಕರ (ನಯಂತರಣ ಮತುತ ರದದಯಾತ) ಅಧನಯಮ, 1970ರ ಲ (1970ರ ಕೕಂದರ ಅಧನಯಮ ಸಂ. 47)

1ನೕ ಪರಕರಣದ (4)ನೕ ಉಪಪರಕರಣದ ಲನ (ಎ) ಬಾಬು ನ ಲ “ಇಪಪತುತ ಅಥವಾ ಹಚಚನ” ಎಂಬ ಪದಗ ಗ

“ನಲವತುತ ಅಥವಾ ಹಚಚನ”ಎಂಬ ಪದಗಳನುನ ಪರತ ೕಜಸತಕಕದುದ.

The above translation of the Industrial Disputes and Certain other laws

(Karnataka Amendment) Ordinance, 2020 (Karnataka Ordinance 15 of 2020) shall be

authoritative text in the Kannada language under section 5-A of the Karnataka Official

Language Act, 1963 (Karnataka Act 26 of 1963).
