Bantrel, Calgary, Alberta, Canada (Apr2014 – Aug 2014)Position: Instrumentation Engineer, Control SystemsProject Name: Husky SunriseClient Name: Husky Scope of work description:Was responsible for the preparing the Material take Off Estimate for the Husky Sunrise ProjectCalgary, Alberta, Canada (Dec 2014 – Apr 2014)Position: Commodities Engineer & BPS Super User, Control SystemsProject Name: Jacos Hanging Stone ExpansionClient Name: JacosScope of work description:Was responsible for quality checking instrument commodities datasheets.

Bantrel, Calgary, Alberta, Canada (Jul2010 – Apr 2014)Position: Commodities Engineer & BPS Super User, Control SystemsProject Name: Conoco Philips Surmont 2Client Name: Conoco Philips Scope of work description:

1. I was responsible for the purchase of general service control valves, ESD valves, choke valves, severe service control valves, transmitters, gauges, temperature element as per project specification. Used the Fisher Sizing Program to run preliminary calculations & to check the effects of changes in process data. I was reponsible for preparing IFQ/IFP instrument datasheets & material requisition preparation, bid evaluation & bid tab preparation.

2. I am proficient in the Bechtel Procurement System (BPS) package for producing and managing material requisition for instrument commodities.

3. As a BPS super user I help the commodities group with the usage and on the job training of BPS, Material Requisition generation procedures, and tag exchanges from InTools to BPS via DataBroker.

Bantrel, Calgary, Alberta, Canada (Oct 2007 – Jul2010)Position: Instrument Index E.I.T & BPS Super User, Control SystemsProject Name: Suncor Voyageur Coker ProjectClient Name: Suncor, Canada. Scope of work description:

1. I worked with the InTools Database Management, discipline coordination and detailed design of the InTools Database.

2. Co-ordinated the P&ID development with the InTools database.3. Managed and tracked the tag numbering format based on the Suncor Standards and the ISA

tagging convention.4. Co-ordinated DCNs (Drawing Change Notices) with the instrument database thus helped the

Instrument Commodities Group to minimize impacts to the orders being placed.5. Assisted with the completion of the InTools field Instrument Datasheets.6. Issued some Control Narratives & Logic Drawings for IFC7. Worked with logic drawings for coke drum switching, ESD charge pump shutdown logic, logic

drawings for gas detection system.8. Took care of Tag and document registration.9. As a BPS super user I helped the commodities group with the usage and on the job training of

BPS, Material Requisition generation procedures, and tag exchanges from InTools to BPS via DataBroker.

Bantrel, Calgary, Alberta, Canada (Mar 2006 – Oct2007)Position: Commodities & Instrument Index E.I.T, Control SystemsProject Name: Petrocanada RCP ProjectClient Name: Petrocanada, Canada.Scope of work description: Was responsible for Rebis Instrument Index Database, Prepared reports from the Instrument Index Database, and Requested tag and document number for RCP project. I was responsible for Field Instrument Data Sheets, Material Requisition & review of Vendor Document. , IFQ/IFP Preparation, Bid Evaluation and Bid Tab Preparation

1. Understanding the basic control logic used from the P&ID.2. Worked on the alarm list and generated a list with instrument loops having High Alarm, Low

Alarm or Both.3. Worked on the transmitter failure mode list, fail high or fail low list.4. Was responsible for the purchase of temperature transmitters on the Petrocanada RCP project.

Selected the temperature transmitter range based on the process data available form LDT (Line Designation Table). Ordered back-up transmitters with a narrow range for temperature transmitters located in control loops. Ordered red end caps and safety certificates for transmitters connected to PCS systems.

5. Was responsible for the purchase of RTD, thermocouple, thermowells and temperature gauges on the Petrocanada RCP Crude & Vacuum Unit and the Coker Unit. The maximum temperature of the process was used to verify the selection of either RTD or the type of thermocouple. I performed calculations to evaluate the mechanical integrity of a thermowell under the given process conditions (Thermowell Vibration Calculation). The calculation results obtained from the vendor was compared with in-house calculations. The thermowell was sized based on the project specification, the calculation result and piping isometric drawings.

6. Purchased temperature gauges for the RCP project Crude & Vacuum Unit and the Coker Unit. The range of the gauge was selected based on the process minimum and maximum temperature. The dimension of the gauge and the thermowell was selected based on the project specification and line size. Thermowell calculations were performed to ensure the stability of the thermowells. It was verified that the temperature gauges did not contain mercury.

7. Was responsible for the purchase of Orifice Plates and Restriction Orifice on the Petrocanada RCP project .Calculated the bore and beta ratio for the orifice plates using the Flowel program. Calculated the required bore diameter and the beta ratio for restriction orifice used for purging based on the required differential pressure using the Flowel program

8. The vendor drawings were compared with the datasheet, project specification. The drawings were Squad Checked with the appropriate departments before approving. I also helped in comparing the bids received from different vendors for technical compliance and the best technically acceptable quotation was selected. Helped in preparing the Material Requisition for Purchase. Verified and approved the vendor submitted drawings. The vendor drawings were compared with the datasheet, project specification. The drawings were Squad Checked with the appropriate departments before approving.

9. Was trained on the Rebis PIW database for the Petrocanada RCP project. 10. Managed tag information from the P&ID to the Rebis PIW database for the Petrocanada RCP

project.11. Created new instrument loops in Rebis and associated instruments to loops. 12. Assisted Senior Engineer with preparing the check estimate, Control Valve Lamacoid list and

transmitter failure mode reports from the database. 13. Helped with Instrument index clean up14. Assisted with project Close-Out procedures.
