A NALYSIS
As far as CSR Models go there is a mix of y Strategic Philanthropy
y Social Contract Theory
y Keith Davis Theory
y Stakeholder Theory
y An example of strategic philanthropy in Shimla they launched a Medical healthCentre in Thalli district of Karsog block, as a result the villagers of Karsog voiced
their support for the environment clearance of a Lafarge plant. With going
through this case, it was found out that a lot of good work has been done and a lot
more is promised.
It is also found out that there were many inappropriate findingsof work done against the rights of citizens especially tribals.
y For example, in Meghalaya they acquired a piece of land claiming it to be
barren while it was actually a dense forest. Another case arose when they
mortgaged tribal land at Nongtrai and Shella to six foreign banks, without
consent or any rights. To counter all this they have set up a weaving cum
training centre for handlooms at Nongtrai village.
