    May be in the form of natural vents (with fail safe feature) or mechanicalextraction (with excess capacity and emergency power.

    Compliance with other prescription requirements of Cl. 7.6.

    Status monitoring Fans, Smoke Vent, Smoke Curtain, Replacement air inlet. Manual start based on selected scenarios.

    A manual start-stop switch to be made available to firemen at FCC or MAP

    General Requirement A remote manual activation and control switches to be provided at

    FCC or MAP

    System requirements Manual activation according to design scenarios.

    No requirement to manual stop the fans or close smoke vents during smokedetector activation condition.

    Auto re-starting of fans upon change to emergency power under smokedetector activation condition.

    Fans, smoke curtains, smoke vents & etc should not auto reset uponresetting of smoke detector.

    Fans may not re-start upon change to emergency power if there is no firealarm condition.

    Duties of RI (M&E) Review the FEDB, FER and Engineering smoke control design agreed by fire

    size at the gardens are 3 MW (for Christmas tree fire) and 1 MW (for rubbish

    fire in flower field)

    Carry out physical test of the smoke scenario, ie., smoke detection by

    aspirating smoke detector, opening of sunshield, smoke vents, replacementair inlet, tripping of AHU and signal to FCC

    Test the manual start function

    Witness hot smoke test
