    ABSTRACT

    Youth of any nation plays a significant role in the

    progress and development of the society. In this article, an

    attempt has been made to discuss different aspects related to the

    character building of the young generation with special reference

    to Surah Al-Kahaf. Surah Al-Kahaf (the cave) focuses deeply and

    beautifully on beliefs, ideology, logics, social, moral and

    economic issues of the youth. In this Surah, Allah Almighty has

    mentioned examples of some famous stories for mankind. In this

    study, we have analysed these stories on thematic grounds. First

    of all, story of companions of the cave has been described

    briefly and basic principles and laws have been derived for the

    guidance of youngsters. Secondly, the story of possessor of two

    gardens and his fellow with its outcomes of economic

    fundamentals especially for young generation has been depicted

    in a lucid manner. Thirdly, meeting of Prophet Musa () and Khidhar () has been explained which contains acts of guidance for teachers and students. And fourthly story of Zulqaranain

    which focuses on principles of guidance to use power and

    wisdom for scientists, scholars, experts, rulers and leaders. These

    examples are role model and ideal pattern for the youngsters of

    present era, by following which success in the life and hereafter

    can be guaranteed.
