Some details

Purification: Agnihotra purifies the surrounding atmosphere. Plants

benefit, and farmers who have used it say it is good for 150 acres. Iprotects from pollution and diseases. More subtle effects may extendmany miles around and effect humans on the emotional level. Whenyou look around of the web, you will find that people have made soilfertile again, and have eradicated plant diseases (in cultivated crops). When done on a daily basis it will work pretty quickly. It is also donefor healing, that is, people who are seeking healing attend the ritual, and notice the effects in the following weeks or months (it takes alittle time of course). The ash is used in many ways. it can be blownaround the garden, it can be put into water, it can be mixed with

salves, and it can even be taken internally. The Agnihotra ritual andthe use of Agnihotra ash has many applications and is only limited byone's imagination. People around the world have used it for manymore applications than mentioned here.

The importance of the exact times of sunrise and sunset: At sunrise and sunset a change happens in the atmosphere of the

earth as the sun rays (all rays, not only the visible sunlight) suddenlyhit the location of the observer, or is being withdrawn. The change of this solar stream of energy is said to be powerful and cleansing.

When a person performs the fire ritual (fire being associated with thesun), he interacts with this energy and brings it down into the fire, into the ashes, but also into himself and those gathered around him,and by extension into his immediate environment.

The inverted copper pyramid: it is now well known that pyramidsare collectors of cosmic energy, and copper is a good conductor of this energy. The copper pyramid is easy to use, and it has become astandard in Agnihotra rituals, but in essence a hole dug into theground also works.

Page 41: A Visual Guide to Agnihotra

7/27/2019 A Visual Guide to Agnihotra

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/a-visual-guide-to-agnihotra 41/67

Cow dung: cow dung has become traditional. The dried dung is afuel, burns well (although a little difficult to start without gheesmeared on it), and the smoke is surprisingly pleasant. But Agnihotracan also be done using twigs of certain medicinal trees (Vata- „Ficusbengalenensis‟, Audumbara- „Ficus glomerata‟, Palaash- „Butea

frondosa‟, Peepal- „Ficus religiosa‟ and Bel- „Ægle marmelos‟ )

Ghee: is made by simmering UNSALTED butter in a pot for 20minutes to half an hour or more, until all water content has steamedoff and the milk solids, or protein, have been skimmed off (you cankeep them and use them for cooking later). Some will settle to thebottom, allow the ghee to cool well first, and when you pour it into the jar both strain it and watch out for the black stuff at the bottom, justdon't pour when there is a lot coming. Unlike butter, ghee can bestored for extended periods without refrigeration, provided it is kept

in an airtight container to prevent oxidation and remains moisture-free. Ghee acts as a carrier of subtle healing energies. In ancienttimes it was referred to as the mother of all medicine and has manytherapeutic properties.

The ash: after the transformation of the cow dung into ash, the ashhas collected the powerful solar energy from the atmosphere duringthe entire ritual and is now fully charged with it. The ash can then beused in many ways for healing and other purposes.

Sunrise and sunset times: you need to consult the time tables foryour specific location. There is some discussion what constitutessunrise/sunset time. Is it when the the edge of the sun first or lasttouches the horizon, or when the sun is half down? There is also theissue of curvature of the earth. You will have to use your intuition inthis, and besides, you have about two minute before and after thechosen times to utter the mantras. So I would say follow yourfeelings. Actually it is a a good idea to tune in to your inner sense of it, and connect wit the energies that way. There is a free Windowsprogram that gives you the exact sunrise and sunset times for yourlocation: go to Vedic Societywebsite.

The practitioner: as with all energy work and rituals, the intention, attention, concentration and purpose of the practitioner is the mostimportant aspect and is a determining factor of the effectiveness of the ritual. Watch your emotions. For example, if you are havingtrouble getting the fire to light are you anxious, panicking, frustrated? The fire is your teacher. Learn to be calm and focused.Leave behind your other concerns and troubles and let the energy of the ritual calm you.

Page 42: A Visual Guide to Agnihotra

7/27/2019 A Visual Guide to Agnihotra

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/a-visual-guide-to-agnihotra 42/67

Mantras: besides the sunrise and sunset mantras, one can also useother mantras before and after, or other vedic and even your ownchants. Be creative, think about the purpose of the ritual.

How to Perform Agnihotra

This page will instruct you in how to perform Agnihotra and prepare the necessary materialsyourself. If you do not wish to prepare the materials yourself, please see the InternationalContacts list to see where you can obtain supplies.

Agnihotra requires these materials:- Copper pyramid of specific shape and size- Dried cow dung- Ghee (clarified unsalted butter from cow’s milk) - Whole grain raw brown rice- Agnihotra Mantras (click here, or available oncassette)- Timings of sunrise/sunset for your area (availablefree of charge by request)

FOR A VISUAL GUIDE TO PERFORMING

AGNIHOTRA, CLICK HERE

Building The Agnihotra Fire The main idea in building the Agnihotra fire is toarrange the cowdung pieces to allow for good air flow. Many people find the following methodhelpful:

Spread a little ghee on each piece of dung. Place a small piece of dried dung in the bottom of the pyramid (see #1 below). Add two small pieces in opposing corners (#2). Continue addingpieces in alternating corners, using larger pieces as the pile grows (#3, 4, & 5).

To light the dung, spread ghee on a narrow piece of dung, ignite it, and place it flame downwardin the center of the layers. The air flow will give you a fire that won't collapse as it burns. Be sureyour fire is blazing enough to burn the rice and ghee quickly and completely.

After the Mantras have been uttered and the rice offering given, it is best not to disturb the fire, due to the interplay of subtle energies. If possible, avoid moving the pyramid until the next timeyou prepare for Agnihotra.

A larger fire using more dried cowdung amplifies the healing effects and produces a greater quantity of healing ash.

Starting the Fire

Light the fire a few minutes before the scheduled time, so the dung will be fully ablaze at Agnihotra time. Do not use lighters (i.e. objects with lighter fluid) or gas stoves to start the fire.

Exactly at the sunrise or sunset time shown on the computer timesheet (based on one specificdefinition of sunrise and sunset) utter the Mantras and give the offerings of rice mixed with alittle ghee to the fire, after each Sváhá. Say the Mantras once only. If you miss the timings you

will not have the healing effect of Agnihotra. After each Agnihotra try to spare as many minutesas you can for meditation. You can sit in silence at least until the fire extinguishes itself. Collectthe ash (at the next Agnihotra) and keep it in a container made of earthenware, glass or

Page 48: A Visual Guide to Agnihotra

7/27/2019 A Visual Guide to Agnihotra

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/a-visual-guide-to-agnihotra 48/67

wood. DO NOT keep Agnihotra ash in a container made of plastic or metals other than

copper or gold. Agnihotra ash can be used as fertilizer for plants or for making folk medicinesfor animals and humans. In South America it is called "miracle ash".

Timesheets

Timesheets are available free of charge, by request. Please give us several days notice when

ordering time sheets. Please check to see if Daylight Savings Time (DST) has been calculatedinto your timesheet, and adjust the timing if needed. The latest timings program is available freeof charge by email. This program prints the times in 24 hour format.

Rice Use brown rice. Highly polished rice loses nutritional value. We recommend organic grain.Only unbroken grains of rice should be used for Agnihotra. If rice is broken, the subtle energystructure around the grain is altered; therefore the ash is not suitable for healing. The amount of rice for each offering is the amount you can hold in your fingertips.

Drying Dung There are several ways to dry cowdung. Following are some suggestions for cold climate areas. The main point is that the dung should be dry, and if it is thin it will be easier to start the fires.

Use 4 pieces of 2" x 2" x 36" lumber for each screen. Nail them together into a square frameand cover with 1" chicken wire, 36 " wide, using wire staples to hold it down. Place a piece of fiberglass window screen on top of this frame, but do not fasten it on. Place this frame over apiece of plywood ( 32" x 32" ) cut to fit inside the 2 x 2's. This gives you a flat surface on whichto spread the dung. Place the plywood up on cinder blocks or other raised surface on which towork.

Collecting the dung Use fresh manure from male or female progeny of cow. Use rubber gloves so that you can pickup the dung without getting any dirt, grass or rocks in it. Think good thoughts while collectingdung, as this heightens its healing effect. Spread the dung about 1/2" thick on the screen. Raise

the frame up off the board for good air circulation and place it in full sun. Keep the dung fromgetting wet and it should dry in about four days, depending upon your climate. When you thinkit's dry, break a thicker piece and check the inside. Dry dung sounds hollow when you tap it withyour finger.

Making Ghee Ghee can be made from unsalted butter in an electric slow cooker (called a "crock pot"), or on astove on very low heat. On the stove, let the pan be about two inches above the source of heat. The idea is that the butter heats very gently until all the white foam is cooked out and has risento the surface. Whey also separates from the ghee, stays on the bottom of the pan and lookslike water. Ghee is the golden liquid. The foam that collects on the surface can be spooned off and fed to animals. When the ghee has turned perfectly clear it is ready, and can be strainedthrough cotton cloth, a coffee filter, or three white paper towels. Be careful not to mix in any of the clear liquid that is on the bottom of the pan.

Once you have removed as much ghee as possible without including any of the watery liquid, there will still be some ghee near the bottom of the pan which you do not want to waste.Refrigerate what is left in the pan, and when the ghee has hardened you can break it off thesurface and add it to the next batch of ghee you make. Properly made ghee does not need tobe refrigerated.

Aged ghee (five years old or more) is great for burns.

Agnihotra Mantras There are vibrations that exist everywhere. Where there is vibration there is also sound.

When we do these Mantras, the sounds we utter activate these special vibrations that willcreate certain atmosphere of effects. Then the desired results are realized. These vibrationsexist for everything, so anything can be activated, controlled or changed by Mantras. When one

with a pure mind speaks the Mantra into the Agnihotra pyramid at the correct time, the ash retains that energy and the healing properties of the ash become more powerful.

Visual Guide to Performing Agnihotra

Preparing the Agnihotra fire:

Place one piece of cowdung on the bottom of the pyramid, and place more pieces with ghee onthem around the inside of the pyramid, leaving an opening in the middle. For fires done inapartments and other indoor locations a small fire will suffice, but for agricultural purposeswhere a lot of ash is desired, it is preferable to build a larger fire.

Page 50: A Visual Guide to Agnihotra

Apply ghee to both sides of the piece of dung which will be placed in the center.

The rice offering consists of two pinches of raw brown rice (a pinch is the amount you can holdin your fingertips). Place in a dish and remove the broken pieces.

Add enough ghee to moisten the rice. Separate the rice into two portions.

Light the fire several minutes before the time on the timesheet, so the dung will be fully ablaze

at the exact time. A large fire will need to be started earlier than a small one. Thicker dungneeds more time to fully ignite.

At the time on the sheet, begin the mantra, adding one of the portions of rice and ghee after

"Swaha". Continue the mantras, adding the second offering after "Swaha" .

This completes Agnihotra. It is preferable to sit quietly or meditate until the fire goes out.

For the maximum effect of the interplay of subtle energies of Agnihotra, one should not disturbthe pyramid or add ghee after the mantras have been chanted and rice and ghee have beenadded to the fire. If circumstances permit, it is best not to disturb the pyramid until it is time to

set up for the next performance of Agnihotra.

todos. A propósito o Todo é Deus o Altíssimo e Grande Arquiteto do

Universo.

BIOENERGIA

PUBLICADA POR IUSTUS ON TERÇA-FEIRA, 20 DE OUTUBRO DE 2009 / ETIQUETAS: INFORMATIVOS /

BIOENERGIA

Page 56: A Visual Guide to Agnihotra

7/27/2019 A Visual Guide to Agnihotra

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/a-visual-guide-to-agnihotra 56/67

a vida.

do corpo humano:

Page 57: A Visual Guide to Agnihotra

7/27/2019 A Visual Guide to Agnihotra

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/a-visual-guide-to-agnihotra 57/67

Page 58: A Visual Guide to Agnihotra

7/27/2019 A Visual Guide to Agnihotra

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/a-visual-guide-to-agnihotra 58/67

é literalmente O CÉU DA TERRA.

E onde ele tem feito errado?

Pela humanidade simplesmente viver neste planeta,

poluindo,a urinar, defecar, respirar, construir, crescer e comer.

sênior fez as seguintes observações:

Importante é a radiação.

Page 61: A Visual Guide to Agnihotra

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/a-visual-guide-to-agnihotra 61/67

curador além do spectrum eletromagnético do todo.”

Page 62: A Visual Guide to Agnihotra

O propósito do BLOG HOMATERAPIA é noticiar

prestativos, amistosos, brincalhões e experimentando alivio e paz.

O objetivo é fazer a Homa 4 horas diariamente.

Levemos a eles à Terapia HOMAe mostremos o uso deste fogo curativo!
