Adjectives before postpositions

• Postpositions influence (‘govern’) both the nouns they follow and any adjectives that describe that noun.

• Adjectives agreeing with feminine subjects don’t change.

• Adjectives agreeing with masculine subjects change ā to e

Pronouns before postpositions

• Postpositions (ppn.) influence (‘govern’) both the nouns they follow and any pronouns that describe that noun. The pattern is:

याहै yah + ppn. = इसे is

वहै vah + ppn. = उसे us

या� ye + ppn. = इना in

व� ve + ppn. = उना un

याहै प्याले है� yah pyālā hai
