Q: What is the significance of the Siddha Kunjika Stotram ?A: This is the essence of the Chandi, the Navarna Mantra, theconstant reminderthat change She will, change She must, because change is Herintrinsic Nature.

Q: What is the meaning of ‘Kunjika’ in the Siddha KunjikaStotram?A: Kunjika literally means “something overgrown or hidden bygrowth orgrowing things.” Siddha means perfection. Stotram is the song.The Song of Perfection which is no longer hidden because ofgrowth.That is, our spiritual growth and understanding of the Chandiexposesthe hidden meanings of the bija mantras in the Song.

Q: When to recite kunjika stotatram ?



A: Recite especially when one does not have time or do not wantto chantthe entire long Durga SaptaShati/Chandi Path. The SiddhaKunjika Stotra itself says at the begining that no argala or kilakstotra andother related matters is needed if one recites Siddha KunjikaStotra. Kunjika,there is Devi in the form of Chamunda. Not only it works forNavaratri , it isto be chanted at the junction when Ashtami leaves and entersNavami . 24 minsbefore Ashtami ends to 24 mins after navami starts, is the timewhen Devi takesthe form of Chamunda and had got to be chanted no matter thecount to exhaust 48mins .

Q: How to Count 48 minutesA: Each Tithi lasts for 24 hours . If for example, the Navami startsat 21.30 pmin the night then you should start at 21.06 (which is Ashtami ) andcontinue untill 21.54 pm, that 48 mins is called Sandhi kShaN orperiodof transit, when Devi in the form of Chamunda is killing ChandaandMunda (the demons). That is regarded as themost auspiscioustime of Navaratri as Devi is ready to give boon after SandhikShaN .
