However, they are not suitable for halogens, or for prolonged storage of alcohols, ether or other organic solvents. Polyethylene caps do not require liners and provide a tight, leak-proof seal which does not "freeze" or slip. Screw necks for sizes 32 oz. to 1 gallon, inclusive, have special pouring lips.
