Key stakeholders of ERP are suppliers and vendors, shop-floor manufacturing team, sales and distribution

team and various functional units, business units of Ranbaxy and the customers. Customers and vendors

can see their order status, accounts and do online tracking of cargo. Orders placed online are transmittedthrough EDI and automatically updated in Ranbaxys SAP network. Lot of information exchange happens

through the Web.

Standard ERP is used for the support functions like financial accounting, material, HR, and logistics, and

a separate Laboratory Information System for their core area of operations which involves research and

development and marketing of generic drugs.

But, integrating them together is tedious and cumbersome process, and also not wholly error-proof. So

they have developed a customized ERP specifically for pharma industry.

Resources needed:

SAP R/3 is the latest in ERP software. Ranbaxy has recently migrated to the new SAP R/3 ERP software.

This is one of the busiest and most challenging departments within the organization. These skilled and

highly motivated professionals provide state-of-the-art support to the entire organization. Qualified

candidates will have at least two years IT experience, complete working knowledge of the Windows

Operating System, networking and other software packages including SAP R/3. Resources used in ERP
