13. Discussing Domain and Technical issues with Team members.

NDS Projects: NDS has helped more operators successfully deploy digital pay television services

than anyone else. Since 1990, NDS has been the market leader for digital Pay-Tv solutions. NDS has

been developing software for STBs for 15 years and has worked with a wide range of STB

manufacturers and deployed solutions on 100s of STB models and chipsets in this time. The list

mentioned below is the types of software and applications that I was involved in Testing and

integrating onto STBs:

Roles and Responsibilities at NDS:

a) Testing on Bharti/Tata Sky and Akado projects. Travelled to Moscow for Akado Onsite Testing,

Travelled To Manesar Delhi for Bharti Onsite Testing.

b) Testing and certifying new applications and Testing and certifying existing application on new

release of STB software.

Project A: TMP/Agent First

TMP is the product for First American agents—for listings, client meetings, showing properties and

much more. It provides back-end for business to run efficiently and smoothly without wasted effort

and task redundancies. At First American Corporation, the focus is on delivering solutions to

streamline and expedite the transaction process. It offers everything from title and closing services.

It offers a wide array of real estate solutions and services including title insurance, transaction

management, home warranty public record information and much more.

Project B: Resume Manager (Internal Project)

Resume Manager is an internal application designed for the Support and Management groups.

Resume Manager is the application for screening the applicant resumes and for tracking their

details. This application works on the Permission/privileges provided and is basically for HRs,

Managers and Team leads for screening and conducting the interviews.

Was involved in UI and functional Testing of above application.

Description:

This product is being developed to ease the problems faced in processing of immigration cases to

different countries. It involves development of Immigration forms of countries. All the data

required for processing of immigration is stored in the server maintained by Laya IT. Our main

clients are Big Law Firms of USA. A client can access the forms developed by Laya IT and can use it

for processing of immigration, the client can also trace the status of a particular case. The product

has 6 modules. A client can also launch his website using Laya IT. Laya IT is having its own

product, LAYA Ticket, which maintains all the issues and requirements. This is very helpful to track

all the issues of the clients.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Preparation and execution of test cases.

Conducting Functionality, Regression, Integration Testing.

Attending the meetings with fellow testers to evaluate the progress and performance of

application.

Exporting & Importing of tables from database
