    Oils - Part III, Linseed Oil, (11 pages in Arabic, 8 pages, in English).

    6. Description of content: This draft technical regulation specifies the requirementsstated in the Gulf standard GSO "Edible Vegetable Oils - Part III, Linseed Oil" underclauses 5 & 6 (packaging & labelling) as mandatory requirements. It specifies that theproduct shall be filled in suitable, clean, and hermetically sealed containers which protectthe product from contaminations and shall be comply with the Gulf standard GSO 839"Food packages - part1 : general requirements".

    It also describes label requirements such as:1. It should be without prejudice to what has been mentioned in Gulf Standard GSO

    9 "Labeling of prepackaged foods"2. The following shall be declared on the label of the product:

    Name of oil. Food additives. Production and expiration date in symbolic manner (month - year).

    7. Objective and rationale, including the nature of urgent problems whereapplicable: To maintain consumer protection and food safety.
