Job Description:

Responsibilities as a Research Officer in Textile (Fabric) Laboratory:

Performing 15 fabric test to develop new fabric specification and qualification.

Supervising staff; assistant research officers, research assistants and technicians in conducting test.

Evaluate of test results and consult the customer for quality guarantee.

Verify and sign laboratory test report.

Oversee day to day laboratory operations to ensure that equipment are well maintained.

As a Laboratory Manager & Approved Signatory:

Ensure the laboratory comply with MS ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and other related SAMM requirements.

Responsible for all technical matter in the laboratory.

Ensure all system procedures, work instruction, test methods, applicable standards, specifications and

regulations related to the scope of accreditation are current and available.

Ensure that qualified, trained and competent personnel and other resources are available in the

laboratory to provide technical services for the customers.

Ensure the services/product provided by the laboratory satisfy customer requirements.

Ensure Proficiency Testing programs are successfully planned and implemented.

Responsible for purchasing of consumables and laboratory equipment.

To maintain a healthy, safe and conducive laboratory environment.

To perform Internal Audit as requested by the Quality Manager.

Responsible for Quality Management System Certification Audit.
