O SBupivacaine overdose
Ventricular tachycardia: case reportAn 11-month-old baby boy developed ventricular
tachycardia following bupivacaine overdose. He received anexcessive dose of bupivacaine with 8mL of 0.5% bupivacaineinjection 1 mL/kg [route not stated] as penile block, during anelective circumcision. He developed ventricular tachycardia,shortly afterwards. This event was considered as localanaesthetic toxicity. He was treated with ventilation with100% O2, followed by soya oil emulsion [intralipid]. He madean uneventful recovery.
