Sexual dysfunction: 2 case reportsTwo men developed sexual dysfunction while receiving

citalopram for generalised anxiety disorder; after the additionof pregabalin, their sexual dysfunction reversed.

A 28-year-old man was receiving citalopram 30 mg/day[duration of treatment not stated]. His sexual functioning wasadversely affected by his treatment, with an Arizona SexualExperience Scale (ASEX) score of 22. Pregabalin 75 mg/day wasadded to his regimen. Three days later, he experiencedincreased sexual drive and arousal, and had multipleintercourses. His ASEX score improved to 9. At last follow-up4 months later, his improvement was preserved.

A 36-year-old man had been receiving citalopram 20 mg/dayfor 2 years. His sexual function had worsened, with an ASEXscore of 22. Pregabalin 75 mg/day was added to his regimen.From the following day, he had increased sexual drive andarousal, and multiple intercourses. His ASEX score decreasedto 7 and the improvement was maintained until last follow-up1 month later.
