First report of variant angina pectoris: case reportVariant angina pectoris was associated with naratriptan
therapy for cluster headache in a 34-year-old man withcardiovascular disease risk factors, including a history ofsmoking, dyslipidaemia and a familial history of cardiovasculardisease.
One day after the man commenced therapy with naratriptan[dosage not stated] and metoprolol, he was hospitalised withsuspected unstable angina pectoris. During an examination hehad chest pain. An ECG was consistent with typical variantangina. At follow-up 6 months later, he was asymptomatic.Allal J, et al.
