Maculopapular eruption, managed withdesensitisation: case report
A 62-year-old man underwent percutaneous coronaryintervention and stent placement, and began receivingprasugrel 10 mg daily after an initial 60mg loading dose[route not stated]. One week later, he developed ageneralised maculopapular eruption. Prasugrel waswithdrawn and the man’s rash resolved. A few days later hedeveloped angina requiring dual antiplatelet therapy. Heunderwent a desensitisation protocol and was able to re-start prasugrel treatment. He experienced no furtherreactions.Mutnick JL-M.
