Eternal Wisdom

Awakening the soul of the Indians throgh Yogaand making the path of development strong.

have not done anything contradictory by starting the

nation’s awareness alongwith the yoga or by blending

the Yog dharma with Rastra dharma, rather we have accepted the

yoga in its broad sense. We have no doubts, conflicts, confusions

and illusions in our mind regarding Yog dharma and Rastra

dharama. Our policies and intentions are very clear and our aim

is to unite the divided India and, that too, in its well-worth form.

Yog literally means addition. With this tool we want to organise

the whole nation. We want to make every Indian the very first

Yogi. As a result, we can expect a yogi to be a strong charactered

youth. A yogi will be a patriot teacher and doctor, a thoughtful

chartered account, a struggling lawyer, a well-aware farmer, a

well-behaved soldier, defence personel and policeman, a dutiful

officer, a dedicated staff and labour, an energetic bussinessman,

a nation loving artist and a journalist, a scientist devoted to

nation’s interest. He certainly would be laborious and experi-

enced. In our views the progress of nation can not be expected

without development of soul.

We are sure to make an ordinary person a good human being

through yoga. We also wish to see a mother as an ideal mother.

We will lay such a cultural and ritual foundation where the moth-

ers give birth to the sons like Rama and Krishna. This, we will

bring by preparing the ideal mothers and fathers through yoga.

The yoga enlightened person will neither decieve anyone

belonging to his society, nation and entire universe nor will he

involve in any violent activities as he will believe that telling a

lie, dishonesty and decieving others is nothing but deceiving

himself.

Due to self-deviation and self-negligence our country is loosing

its moral values, and is involved in corruption, dishonesty, anar-

chy, immorality and insenstivity. We are making our efforts and

are sure to re-establish the empire of happiness, prosperity,

pleasure and peace on the land of sages by the Yoga Movement.

According to report reviewing the ill-effects of the climatic changeit is water that is going to effect the human life in it’s worst.

Drinking water problem will affect the human life in many areas. Floods anddroughts will generally be seen. Glaciers will melt rapidly, sea level will increase

and acidity of sea water will keep increasing.

is the invaluable creation of nature. In order to meet his unending materialistic lust, hehas been exploiting nature blindly since a very long time. It has now created the seriousproblem of environmental pollution in the whole world. Today, the network of numerousindustries have spread in eastern, western, northern and southern hemispheres .

tion.

Today, global warming is standing like

an environmental challenge in front of

the whole world. Increasing tempera-

ture all over the world is making a

change in the weather. It will increase

the water level of sea, and the intensi-

ty and frequency of weather-based

changes will also increase. Hence, an

urgency should be brought in the

efforts of 'environment conservation.'

Scientists are of the view that as a

result of burning fuel and carbon

emission by industrialization and

transport activities in this century,

temperature will rise by 1.1-6.4 degree

celsius. As a result, the sea surface

level will increase; and with the possi-

bility of drastic change in weather, the

amount and timing of rainfall will go

through a big change. There is a possi-

proved our supremacy in our cultural

and spiritual knowledge to the world.

To worship rivers, trees, mountains,

birds, animals and whole nature is

included in our system. Today the

whole world is facing the serious

problem of environment. Problem of

existence of living beings and human

being has arisen. Today, sky-earth-

water-air, everything has become pol-

luted. Man is indulged in materialistic

lust. He is using poisonous pesticides

and chemical fertilizers in agricultural

land in order to get maximum produc-

tion. As a result, the land has become

infertile. As a result of blind race of

industries, poisonous smoke emitting

from factories is constantly polluting

air and water. Acid rain in many west-

bility of vanishing agricultural produc-

tion, glaciers and paschgaman species.

As a result of global warming many

natural calamities will bring destruc-

tion. Continuous unprecedented

changes in weather are taking place

due to rise in temperature.

Consequently, drought, flood, famine,

heat wave and hot air are likely to

increase. By the mid of this century

the population of 200 million will be

forced to leave their habitat or most of

them will have to face untimely death

due to rise in sea water level, flood,

drought, malnutrition and temperature

rise. According to the report of scien-

tists, by the mid of this century the

increasing temperature of the earth is

going to affect the whole world.

According to this report of reviewing

adverse effects of climate change,

human life is going to get most

adversely affected by water. In many

parts of the world, people will struggle

to deal with the problem of drinking

water. Some places will get affected

by drought. Glaciers will melt rapidly.

The sea water level will increase and

the acidity of sea will continue to

increase. By the year 2009, one third

part of the Earth will get affected by

drought. When such kind of changes

will take place, there will be every

possibility of destruction of agricultur-

al resources and water level. In this

case a large number of people will be

forced to face the suffering of migra-

tion and a big group of migrants will

be in front of us. This process has

already started in some low lying

islands of Southern Pacific region.

As a result of Ozone Layer depletion,

the adverse effects of ultraviolet rays

are increasing. Not only human life

but birds, animals and vegetation are

also getting affected by polluted envi-

ronment. Many rare species have been

extincted. The number of animals and

birds is reducing. Natural disasters like

flood, drought, sea typhoon, cyclone,

Earthquake, land sliding have also

increased. A rise of 0.5 degree celsius

in the temperature of Earth has taken

place during the period of mid nine-

teenth century to till now. If this trend

continues then an increase of 0.2

degree celsius to 0.5 degree celsius

can take place in the temperature of

the Earth in every decade and by the

mid of twenty first century global tem-

perature will witness a rise of 2 to 5

degree celsius. This rise in tempera-

ture will comparatively be more in sub

polar regions.

Respected Swami Ram Dev ji Maharaj

says that today air, water and Earth

have become so much polluted that if

we do not pay timely attention to

them, we will hand over the future

generations a poisonous country and

our children will die untimely becom-

ing the victims of fatal diseases like

cancer, T.B. and AIDS. Hence, all

efforts should be made in the direction

of preserving the environment at the

world level. Hearty wishes on

Activation of deactivatedKidney through 'pranayam'and medicinesMost respected Swami Ji Maharaj.

Many-many Salutations to you,

Swami Ji, My name is Bhawani Shankar Sahu. I am 63

years old. Sometimes ago my kidney had stopped work-

ing. When there was no hope for me anywhere, then I

reached Patanjali Yogpeeth. There I got treatment from

Vaidya Sushant Mishra and exercised pranayam. Today,

after 8-9 months my serum catinine has come down to 0.9

mg/dl from 5.6 mg/dl, which is quite normal. I am very

happy about that. Now I feel fully fit.

I salute your efforts to take this movement of Arogya to

each and every one.

Curing Kidney with Yog-Pranayam

Most respected Swami Ram Dev Ji Maharaj

Many-many salutations to you,

Maharaj Ji, I live in Nanded (Maharashtra). I was suffer-

ing from kidney stone. In my left kidney there was a small

stone of 10 mm. I did yog- pranayam as suggested by you

and made changes in my daily routine and diet. It brought

lot of relief for me. Whenever I was in pain I used to press

the kidney point and one day that stone came out. I do

pranayam regularly and as a result of it my problem has

come to an end. All this has been possible just because of

you. Many-many Salutations to you.

Yogonmukh, Chronicpiles and otherdiseases got curedthrough Yog Sandesh Patrika Respected Swami Ram Dev Ji Maharaj,

Pranam

Swami Ji, I am a retired teacher. I am 76 years old.

Swami Ji, I was suffering from piles since last 50 years. I

consulted many doctors and vaidyas and took medicines

prescribed by them. But I did not get any relief. At last

by chance I got an opportunity to read your monthly

magazine 'Yog Sandesh'.

I got invaluable information about yoga through your

magazine. After getting information about initial yogic

actions and pranayam, I started three pranayams anulom-

vilom, Kapalbhati, Bhastrika and Utkatasana from that

day itself. I regularly do pranayam for one hour in a day.

It helped me a lot. My condition started getting better.

Ultimately my piles and other diseases got cured. My eye-

sight was weak and I used to wear the spectacles of 1.75 number,

now I don't use specs also. Now I feel myself a young man. I am

a subscriber of your 'Yog Sandesh'. By reading 'YogSandesh' , I

got many useful information about health.

In the remote villages of the country, where there is no

electricity and even light (power) comes for a while, there

is no facility of cable. As a result of it we can't see your

programme on Astha and Sanskar channels properly. Yog

Sandesh is acting like a guide at such places. Now after

coloured printing Yog Sandesh has become more attrac-

tive and popular.

Your pledge of keeping the world disease free is appre-

ciable. You have started a mission of keeping the world

healthy for free and that also without any discrimination

of religion, caste etc.

You have taken a pledge to root out the corrupt leaders

and corrupt governments of India. Every child, elder per-

son and young man is with you in this mission and you

will succeed in this mission also at any cost. Many Many

salutations to you.

Yours sincerely

in such a manner in which karmasakta gyani

people do.

(26) Gyani people should not differentiate

between Karmasakta people, he should be

sthithpragya, must perform his duties and get

it done from others only. What is meant here

is he should not only fulfil his duties towards

public welfare without any involvement and

indulgence but should get it done from others

also happily. If they are not taught the impor-

result then it is possible that they might get

deviated from their Karma of public welfare.

Hence, this aim of public welfare will get

hampered which is not the objective of a

Some people will be of the view that a

ful. Here the word 'Mahabahu' indicates that a

true and brave person is not only that person

who kills some of the enemies in the battle

ground but he also is a brave person who

unrelentlessly faces the war which is going on

in his mind and achieves complete victory

over attachments. He is the real brave cir-

cumstances in the battlefield and continue to

do his work is the unbeatable, immortal brave

person. Thereafter he can sit in the cahriot

(rath) of mortal heroes without any weapon

and can guide many faces in each

Kurukshetra. Such a person, who knows the

truth is called 'tatvavitt.'

(30) Hence, O Arjuna! Dedicate all your

Karma with spiritual mind, you just fight the

battle without any hope and love, means don't

expect any result of Karma and be sad, just

fight. Here lord Krishna told Arjuna that

Atama (soul) itself is Akarta (inactive) and

whatever Karma (work) is being done by

prakriti (maya) is the behaviour of prakriti

according to its qualities. Therefore, leave the

worry of result, dedicate your Karmas to the

God and perform your duty.

(31) That believer who does not search short

comings and defects in my words and

behaves according to me, he never gets tied in

bonds.

(32) And those Sarvagganvimood (aviveki)

doubts my words and does not behave and act

according to me they are definitely going to

be destroyed.

(33) Knowledgeable persons behave accord-

ing to their own nature and ordinary people

also behave with them according to their own

nature, then what will the obstinance do

there ? All the living beings go to their nature.

(34) Both love nad jealousy of sense organs

towards sensual pleasures (Shabda, sparsh

etc.) is determined by behaviour. But a

knowledgeable persong (Gyani) should not

be in control of love and jealousy as both are

the enemies of human being.

There is a tradition in our society of

while eating no talking. The upper part

of the wind pipe, which is called larynx,

helps in talking and inhalation. Hence

when we talk while eating larynx and

our food goes in wind pipe and causes

cough. This clarification is being given

because our food pipe and wind pipe are

separate. When we eat, the food goes

straight to abdomen through food pipe

and breathing (pran) goes straight to

lungs through wind pipe and another

scientific fact is this that in our abdomen

there is no part such as stomach, liver

and intestines, in our body which can

absorb oxygen. Only lungs absorb oxy-

gen from blood corpuscles and supply it

to the whole body including heart.

or nature has made the structure ofhuman body in such a way that wind

pipe of man remains opened 24 hours. When weeat, a cartilage named epiglottis close the windpipe like a lid and prevents the food to enter intowind pipe. Rest of the time it remains opened.

“Breathingthroughabdomen is notbenefinicalbecause oxygendoesn’t getabsorbed inabdomen”.

“Unfortunately manyignorant YogAcharyas have pre-scribed breathingthrough abdomen. Itis unscientific.

Hence while doing pranayam diaphra-

matic deep breathing or thoresing deep

breathing up to diaphragm is the right

technic of breathing. At the time of

pranayam abdomen breathing is com-

pletely unscientific and futile. Futile

means if breathing is made through

abdomen in Bhastrika or anulom-vilom

pranayam, then abdomen can't absorb

oxygen. Hence, you can't get the benefit

of pranayam confusion regarding

breathing through abdomen arises

because when we take deep breathing,

the breath always goes to lungs but due

to the entrance of pran in lungs,

diaphram gets filled which is located

right in the middle of our lungs and

abdomen. An ordinary man feels that

breath is going in abdomen whereas the

situation is clear that breath is going in

lungs. When diaphragm gets puffed up

it seems that abdomen is getting puffed

up. And inspite of all these facts if

someone does breathing throught

abdomen or makes others to breath

through abdomen then it is totally unsci-

entific and unfortunately most of the

yogacharyas have advised deep breath-

ing through abdomen in their books as

they were not aware completely about

the anatomy. This technic is unscientif-

ic, unjustified and hence unacceptable.

AcharyaBalkrishna There are one hundred types of death in

Dhanvantri's sect. There is only one 'Kaal

Mrityu'. Rest are the 'akal mrityus' and diag-

nosis and treatment are the effects to stop

these 'akal mrityus' (untimely deaths).

Dhanvantri told us one method of measuring

(calculating) age. This minute calculation of

Dhanvantri is very important in comparison

to the other pranacharyas. Dhanvantri had

discovered these minute elements in ancient

time therefore the path of forth coming

acharyas had become clear and easy. First of

all, these elements were made public by

Dhanvantri who had brought them out from

the boundaries of heaven. Hence he is right-

ly called the pioneer of ayurveda. Divodas

has said at many places that whatever I am

saying I am saying it on behalf of

Dhanvantri's principle. Dhanvantri has hand-

ed over this vidhi (method) to me as legacy

for the welfare of the people and this vidhi

has been obtained from vedas, Indra and

other deities. There is no better way of con-

sultation than ayurveda. Dhanvantri's knowl-

edge was spread upto middle Asia and it was

natural that it also spread to the east in a nat-

ural way. Dhanvantri had taken no pledge to

prove the supremacy of 'Shalya Shastra'. He

has his own specialities regarding all the

eight parts of ayurveda. At some places, the

inventions of Dhanvantri have been repre-

sented with a special mention of his name.

The invention of Dhanvantri regarding fever

was unprecedented. Every living being in

this world can get fever. Deities and human

beings are the only two creatures who can

live by becoming free of fever. Animals,

was a pranacharya.Ayurveda is famous

for giving pranpratishtha. When weread Sushrut Samhita we feel that it isDhanvantri who is speaking frominside of Divodas. Sushrut, I(Dhanvantri) have returned to giveyou knowledge.

Dhanvantri

18 | Yog Sandesh | Nov. 2010

birds and trees die of fever, their fever can

not be cured.

The 'grahani rog' of a child is curable, for a

young man it is painful but if an old man is

down with it, he will die of it. Divodas said,

"It was the discovery of Dhanvantri."

The biggest science of Dhanvantri's time was

the use of 'amrit' (nectar). It is evident from

Pranacharya

Dhanvantri

Page 19: YogSandesh November Eng2010

"Dhanvantriwas a socialistand a scientistof vedicage........""He used the scienceof aarogya for thebenefit of commonman. This sciencewas related to deities. He was of the viewthat the best way tohelp others is ayurve-da. He worked for thewelfare of the peoplethrough ayurveda."

the mentions of Divodas that the use of

'rasayanas' was very frequent in the time of

Dhanvantri. Dhanvantri has said that medi-

cine and mantras, both are important for the

'Siddhi' of use of 'rasayanas'. Natural dis-

eases are those which comes inevitably. Old

age is first of them. Rasayana is used to cure

the deterioration regarding memory, vision,

hearing, speech, beauty. To consume gold

was prevalent in the time of Dhanvantri in

the uses of rasayana. 'Amrit Kalash' is associat-

ed with the life of Dhanvantri. This kalash is of gold

and is filled with amrit. Dhanvantri had described

the experiment of making nectar (amrit) in a kalash.

Hence, it was Dhanvantri who had brought amrit in

a kalash.

Sushrut has written, 'Rasayanas' were the

invention of rishis, 'amrit' was the invention

of devas and 'sudh' was the invention of

naags. The desire of consuming amrit had

grown in public. But did not let it go outside

the heaven. Dhanvantri had learnt the art of

making amrit in the company of some main

devas and he brought it to the land of

'aryavart'. Dhanvantri said that devtas

(deities) had invented the 'som' amrit (name

of an amrit) to defeat old age and death. I

have brought it to the Earth for the benefit of

the common man. His socialist ideas and

love for science made him detached from

politics. Although whatever he achieved in

his early life through his great deeds. He

built a vast empire on the basis of it. But

protests were made against him.

Dhanvantri had admitted blood as an other

defect in diagnostic science, apart from vaat,

pitt and kaff, on scientific basis. Extensive

research regarding Kharif and rabi produced

was also done in the time of Dhanvantri. The

analysis of Shook, Shami and kudhanya, deer

and bird, edildge roots, fruit, vegetation and

kutann was available in the vigyanshala of

Dhanvantri.

He had the knowledge about the behaviour of

creatures, qualities and disqualities of their

meat and their classification. Botany and sci-

ence of animals and birds was surprisingly

very advanced in that time. Which type of

diet or food should be taken in different dis-

eases, was very much clear at that time. The

answers of these questions were more scien-

tific in that time than today. The scientific

and comprehensive description made by

Sushrut is new to the modern age.

Dhanvantri says, "The food items produced

in your country alone is suitable and

digestable for you and grow it in your coun-

try."The relevance of celebrating Dhanvantri

Jayanti lies in the adoption of ayurveda,

received from rishi-parampara, in our life."

Ayurvedic viewpoint on

cancer

According to a world Health Organisation Survey every fiftieth person has cancer. Ignoranceregarding such a major disease is like putting human life in risk. It is necessary for every indi-vidual to get information about the form, preform and causes of Cancer. From this point ofview a brief description of cancer is given below:-

Cancer in different parts of the body

All the body parts, right from brain to neck

are vulnerable to cancer. These parts

include lips, tongue, tonsil, mouth, throat,

nose, eye, ear balate skin etc.

In case of cancer, first of all following

symptoms are noticed:-

1. Growing of any gland without any

pain

2. Ulcer unable to heel up with any

dressing.

3. After a long time, pain starts in gland

and ulcer and growingly it spreads to

brain from neck.

4. Difficulty in swallowing food

5. Sometimes liquid items and water

are also found difficult to drink.

6. Speech gets changed.

7. One can become deaf also.

8. Bleeding starts from the paining

parts such as nose, mouth etc.

9. Cold and cough remains there till the

pain is not over.

Lung Cancer

Hundred years ago lung cancer was very

Page 23: YogSandesh November Eng2010

Nov. 2010 | Yog Sandesh | 23Continued on page 24,

Most of the med-ical reportsreflect theincreasing num-ber of diseases.

Today the humanbeing is entan-gled in the arenaof diseases. Theroutine diseaseshave obstachedour ife. We cometo know very lateabout a numberof diseasesamong them.

" It is a fataldisease. Itdevelops inthe body qui-etly…."

"This diseaseaffects our dayto day activitiesand continuesto grow andwhen we cameto know aboutit becomes verylate"

rare. But now it is most common and most-

ly found in the age of above forty years.

Some of its resons are given below:-

1. People who consume opium, charas,

gaanja get affected ten times more

than those who take in tobacco.

2. The main reason of this cancer is the

consumption of tobacco in the form

of beedi, cigarette, chilam etc.

3. People who consume tobacco are

affected by cancer but those who

remain near the beedi and cigarette

smokers and tobacco takers can also

get affected by cancer through the

smoke inhaled by them in the form

of air.

4. People who work in cement and

cement related industries can also

get affected by cancer.

5. X-rays can also cause cancer.

6. Nickel, chromium, Floromitheate,

ether, sulphurious smoke, polluted

air, old working television and old

cough also cause cancer.

7. Fine particles of cotton which goes

inside the body of people working in

textile mills with inhalation can also

cause cancer.

8. Labour working in the stone mines

can also become the victim of simi-

lar type of cancer.

This cancer can take place in one lung or in

both lungs. Sometimes this cancer can

spread between both lungs (pleura, chest

wall, pericardium). It spreads to the upper

part of the lungs and suppress the nerves

originating from backbone. This also

spreads in chest and lymph nodes. From

there it spreads to the bones of ribs, skull

and bones of arms. This cancer is oste-

olytic. It spreads to the upper gland of kid-

ney (adrenals), brain, second lung, liver,

kidney and over the heart.

Preliminary stage of cancer in heart

lung

1. This cancer does not create much

problem in the beginning but cough

continues. Cancer of lung is detected

in X-rays

2. Continuous reduction in body power

and weight.

3. Problem of continuous cough

remains there.

4. Mucus, pus and blood comes togeth-

er

5. Pain and heaviness in chest

6. Difficulty in breathing

7. If this cancer presses food pipe then

it can create difficulty in eating-

drinking.

This cancer can spread to the brain also.

Its symptoms may include pain in brain,

vomiting, tension in nerves. The affects of

paralysis can also be found in bones. It can

spread to bones and liver also. It has other

symptoms which are given below:-

Clubbing: Nails of hand and feet look

like club. When cancer gets cured, nails

can again become normal.

This cancer can spread cancer to all the

glands of the body. This cancer makes

body weak and pale.

Glands emerge on the neck. Liver gets

enlarged, person feels pain in body joints.

Sometimes pathological fracture (breaking

of bone in natural way) takes place. When

one touches the gland he feels warm.

Medicinal Treatment of this Cancer

An expert Vaidya should cure natural

defect first of all by checking the pulse. In

this disease the combination of castic and

chemical substances is essential. If blood

comes in mucus then first of all it has to be

stopped. The easiest way is - take 25 gm.

Juice of hari vasa patti and take 25 ml. goat

milk. Mix them and drink every day in the

morning as well as in the evening.

Keeping in view the health of the patient,

mix naagbhasm, abhrak bhasm

pravalpishti, muktapishti, heera bhasm and

suwarnbhasm in rasayan aushadha with

yashthimadhu, udumbar, varun, kanchnar

etc. Adding kanchanar guggal and triphala

guggal in it brings good result.

Breast Cancer:- The gland of this cancer

is vaat pradhan which looks hard, stretched

and black coloured. In pitt pradhan gland

there is burning tendency, which we touch

it, it feels hot. If the gland is kaff pradhan,

then it is painful, hard and grows slowly.

This cancer is more prevalent in western

countries. Those females who have not

given birth to children are more prone to

this cancer. Those females who remove

their ovary and uterus before the age of 47

are less prone to this cancer. Adreval gland

grews in fat body and it converts into

oestrogen and becomes the cause of cancer

by reaching in chest. By wearing very tight

clothes skin of that body part be comes

dead. Injury can also make skin dead. It

converts into cancer in future. Birth con-

trol medicines can also cause cancer.

Increase of steroid in blood can cause can-

cer from there this cancer can spread to

thyroid, ovaries uterus, colorefratum,

menengis and to the layer of the brain. It

can spread in skin, chestpole, ribs, armpits,

neck and chest. It can reach to bones, liver,

lungs and breizm.

In this type of cancer, cysts develop in

chest in first six months. These cysts do

not pain when the swollen portion

becomes red it is the sign of cancer.

Clothes get stained with bleeding of chest.

Page 24: YogSandesh November Eng2010

24 | Yog Sandesh | Nov. 2010

Sometimes wounds supporte and becomes

hard like stone. Nipples and skin are

stretched inside. With the passing of the

time ulcer develops therein. When hand

becomes heavily swollen and cysts in

armpits develop this cancer reaches at

advance stage. Patient looses his weight

day by day. Blood starts coming in cough

and phlegm. Breathlessness takes place

and restlessness increases. Bones start

paining.

Treatment:- Keeping in view the condi-

tion of the patient and nature of cancer,

combination of medicines should be made.

In the beginning of this cancer, applying

the root of Indraparni results in the melting

of gland. In addition to that medicinal root

of raktarohit, varun Kanchnar, Sahijan,

Utumbar and Aapud, Kwath of revan

Cheeni and nirgundi and kanchnar guggal

should be given to the patient. Use of

rasayan aushadh is also beneficial.

Cancer of food pipe

This cancer brings patient in a very pitiable

condition. In the beginning, patient finds it

difficult to eat then later on he struggles to

swallow even a single drop. Mostly it hap-

pens to the people of age group of above

50. This cancer develops due to eating hot

food, improper cleanliness of mouth-tooth

and presence of acitic items and it can

reach to any part of the body. In this

painful condition body does not accept

even a small amount of meal. When food

pipe gets affected by cancer, cough

increases, speech changes. Blood comes

out with cough, chest pains. Blood vomit-

ing can also take place.

Cancer of Stomach

It is found more in the persons whose

Cancermay startfrom anypart ofbody...It destroys theparts of the body, inacts the bodyparts and cause asavege pain.Cancer increasesin the form ofsmall tissues orglands in bodyparts and affectsthe other bodyparts also.

Ayurveda has thetreatment of can-cer. The treat-ment is starteddepending uponthe immnnity ofpatient.

The expert vaidyatreats the patientdiagnosing thepulse of thepatients. Theeffect of cancerkilling medicineshave been seen inthe PatanjaliYogpeeth.

Continued on page 23,blood group is 'A'. Starch, pickle, very hot

spicy food, preserved food, wine and

tobacco are the main reasons of this can-

cer. Chronic indigestion and acidity, defi-

ciency of vitamin B-12 can also be the

cause of it. If acidity is acute the possibil-

ity of cancer getting cured increases. But

if acidity is less than stomach is very much

disturbed. Chronic gastric ulcer can con-

vert into cancer later on.

"Cancer can develop in any body

part……."

"It destroys the body parts and make them

inactive. Patient writhes in pain. Cancer

starts as cysts or small tissues in body parts

and then continues to grow and take other

body parts also in its grip"

"In Ayurveda there is treatment for cancer.

This treatment is based on balabal

(Strength and weakness) of the patient."

"Expert Vaidya observe the nadi (pulse) of

the patient according to the rule. Anti can-

cer medicines available in Patanjali

Yogpeeth have brough miraculous effects

on patients".

Any operation of the stomach increases the

possibility of the rest of the stomach to 2-6

times. In this cancer the diet of the patient

becomes very less. It can spread in the

body like any other cancer. In this cancer

sudden loose motion and blood in vomit-

ing takes place. Faten food comes out as it

is in the vomiting. Black blood comes

with loose motion. Patient's body be

comes very pale.

Cancer of liver

This cancer is more fatal form of liver cir-

rhosis. Liver primary cancer is found in

less cases. Hepatoma and cholangio

Carcinoma these two types of cancers are

found more in aged person.

Hepatoblastoma cancer is found in chil-

dren. Some times small glands develop in

the whole liver. A big cyst can also devel-

op. But most of the time filroamellar carci-

noma develops in the left part of the liver.

This type of cyst can more than one kg.

weight. The dreadful thing about it is this

that it makes the liver inactive and patient

dies.

This cancer immediately spreads to lungs

from liver. In the beginning patient feels

uncomfortable. Symptoms of this cancer

are as under:

1. weight of the patient reduces upto 5-

10 kg.

2. Pain is felt at right side and in the

middle at upper side. Sometimes this

pain suddenly becomes acute. At that

time cancer cyst can burst out. It can

fill the whole stomach by bursting

blood vessel.

Page 25: YogSandesh November Eng2010

3. Loss of lunger or appetite is found in

33 percent patients of liver cancer.

4. Fever. this cancer causes fever in the

body. This fever does not get cured

by any medicine for 2-3 weeks. Then

it becomes very clear that liver is

affected by cancer or liver has

become dead.

Cancer of Pancreas

This cancer spreads to the surrounding

body parts and reaches to liver, bones,

skin, lungs and other places. It is diag-

nosed after spreading to other part. It's

main symptom is loss of appetite. In case

of aged people, heavy loose motion with

foul smell is very common. Fat, taken in

meal comes out undigested with stool.

These symptoms indicate cancer of pan-

creas. Loose motions and coming blood in

vomiting is very common in it. Constant

pain is felt in stomach and back.

Here, different types of cancers in different

body parts are mentioned:

1. Lip cancer

2. Cancer of back part of nose-plate

3. Cancer of Kakada

4. Cancer of salivary gland

5. Throat cancer

6. Tongue cancer

31. Blood cancer as body has its own

form, diseases also have their own

form.

Cancer in the body gets its diet from blood,

flesh, dhatu of the body and makes its own

form and establishes its 'Kosha' near the

'Jeevaneey koshas' in whole body. Then it

becomes visible by killing jeevaneey

kosha, in any one part of the body. It

comes out in the form of swelling, cyst,

ulcer etc. It disturbs vaat, pitt and cough

and deform blood, flesh and dhatu and

spreads in the body. Firstly it spreads under

the skin it make th diagnosis late.

Why diarrhoea is dangerous?Frequent loose motions in excessive

quantities called diarrhoea. It is danger-

ous because it can result into death.

Deficiency of salt alongwith water

takes place in Children, which are very

important for the functioning of the

body. The deficiency of salt creates

many types of problems, like ascelosis,

alclosis, hypocalemia etc. If diarrhoea

is of serious type then the deficiency of

water can result into death. But if diar-

rhoea is persisting for many days then

the deficiency of nutritious elements

can make change in the intestine as a

result of which meal doesn't get digest-

ed properly. Children suffering from

diarrhoea loose their appetite and inter-

est in food.

The causes of diarrhoeaIf children are given complete nutri-

tious elements at the time of diarrhoea,

10-15 percent deaths can be prevented.

Hence if any person provides informa-

tion regarding mixture (ghol) of diar-

Diarrhoeain Children:Reasons and

Treatment

AIDS has become the topic of discussion. Everydaywe hear and read something about it. But the diar-rhoea is more dreadful than AIDS in this manner

that the number of people dying of its in two days is more thanthe number of persons dying in two years due to AIDS. Itsmortality rate can be reduced by vaccination etc.

Today

rhoea (Jeevan Rakshak ghol) and nutri-

tious elements, it will be very useful. If

this information is provided to women,

children and other persons of the house

then it can be helpful in prevention of

diarrhoea to a large extent. Following

points should be taken into view under

it.

Prevention of deficiency of water due

to diarrhoea, identification of deficien-

cy of water due to diarrhoea, the treat-

ment of deficiency of water, and diar-

rhoea and prevention of malnutrition

and other information.

Prevention of water deficiencyAs soon as the child gets affected by

diarrhoea he should be given liquids

like-starch of rice, sharbat, shikanji (a

drink made up of sugar, water and

lemon), salted lassi made up of curd,

dal ka pani and coconut water, avail-

able in the house. Breast feeding and

meal intake should not be stopped.

Identifying deficiency ofwaterDeficiency of water can be identified

Page 27: YogSandesh November Eng2010

be the manner and quantity of this

drink and how it can save the life of

child. The packet of jeevan rakshak

solution is mixed in one litre water and

five glasses can be made out of it.

When the solution is ready it should be

given to children time and again

depending upon their condition. If

child is of six months of age 1-2 cups

(big) should be given, if the child is of

7-12 months of age 2-3 cups (big) and

if the child is 1-5 years of age 3-4 cups

(big) of this solution should be given.

Serious kind of deficiency of water is

treated by injecting water in vein.

When solution is given vomiting

occurs and mothers get scared. But

inspite of this the solution should be

given continuously by mother through

spoon gradually.

Prevention of malnutritionProper diet should be given to children

during diarrhoea. Meal is digested

properly in diarrhoea. Hence constant

intake of meal is necessary. The best

meal to prevent malnutrition is that

which gets digested easily (like boiled

rice, pulses, beans, potato, green

papaya etc.) and which has plenty of

potassium in it (like-lemon, banana,

pineapple, coconut water etc.) The

quantity should be according to the lik-

ing of the child. Meal should be given

5-7 times in a day.

Meal and dietMother's milk is best food for small

children. If it is not possible to give

mother's milk then other milk should be

given but not through bottle. Children

over four months should be given other

items to eat. Soft and mashed meal

proves best. Meal should be cooked

properly. Utensils should be properly

washed.

by thirst, urine, tears, mouth, tongue,

skin, pulse, palate, breath and tempera-

ture. If urine comes in less quantity and

thirst increases then medium type of

diarrhoea can be assumed. If one feels

very thirsty then the diarrhoea is of seri-

ous type. If child looks irritated, tears do

not come while he weeps, eyes have

gone inside, mouth and tongue are dry

then the deficiency of water is of medi-

um class. But if child is calm, eyes have

sunk very much and tongue and mouth

are very dry then this deficiency is of

serious type. Similarly if the skin is

pulled and it comes to its normal posi-

tion slowly, the pulse rate is high then

the symptoms are of serious type of

water deficiency.

Diarrhoea and the preventionof water deficiency According to the above mentioned indi-

cations the importance of availability of

jeewan rakshak ghol can be described. It

can also be explained that what should

coronary by pass. surgery told me that

doctor had advised him to eat Alsi reg-

ularly so that he can remain free from

high blood pressure and heart disease.

World health organisation has given

alsi, the status of super food. Alsi has

been considered divine food in

Ayurveda. In the eighth century the

king of France, Charl Megne were very

impressed with miraculous qualities of

alsi. He wanted his public to eat alsi

everyday and keep themselves healthy

and long lived. He made strict laws in

this regard.

I was very impressed that alsi whose

name is forgotten by us is so beneficial

for our health. I myself started eating

alsi. I also motivated my patients to

consume it. After some months dramat-

ic changes took place in my life. I start-

ed feeling immense power and energy

in my body. I was filled with agility,

and foremost pleasure or happiness is

healthy body. Today our scientists and

doctors have discovered such diet, food

and age increasing medicines and veg-

etation through research whose regular

consumption can increase our life by

200-250 years or more and our youth-

fulness will also be maintained. This is

not mere imagination, it is true. It is

known to you that in the ancient age

our rishi, muni used to live for

hundreds of years by taking divine food

and medicines. Linseed is such a divine

food which increases our age. Many

types of information is being published

in magazines and newspapers and

many types of information is being

shown on internet and television nowa-

days. In metropolitan cities, biscuits

and bread made of linseed (alsi) are

being sold. A patient who had returned

What is so special in this miraculous,

age increasing and health increasing

divine food. The botanical name of alsi

is Lunum Uzitetisimam which means

very useful seed. Alsi is in use since

ancient time for making food, cloth and

paint etc. When there used to grow a

boil and pimple on our body our grand-

mother used to tie dressing of alsi at

that body part.

The main nutritious elements in alsi are

omega-3 fatty acid, alpha-linolenic

acid, lighen protein and fibre. Alsi is

very useful in pregnancy and old age.

Mahatma Gandhi had written many

books on health and made research on

health also. He made research in alsi

also and recognised its miraculous

qualities and wrote about it in a book,

"Where alsi will be used in food that

society will always remain healthy and

prosperous."

Story of Necessary fat acid,Omega-3 and Omega-6Alsi contains about 18% Omega-3 fatty

acid. Alsi is the biggest source of

Omega-3 fatty acid on earth. In order to

understand its miraculous effects on

our health. we have to understand the

Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acid in

detail. Omega-3 and Omega-6, both are

important for our body. They do not get

produced in our body we have to intake

them through food. Omega-3 is found

in plenty in groundnut, soyabean, sun-

flower, corn etc. Omega-3 contributes

in the development and smooth func-

tioning of different parts of our body,

especially of brain, nervous system and

eyes. Walls of our body cells are made

up of Omega-3 mixed phospholipid.

When there is deficiency of Omega-3

in our body there cell walls are made

up of hard and ugly omega-6 fat or

trans fat instead of soft and flexible

omega-3 and it is the starting point of

disease like, high blood pressure, dia-

betes of type 2, arthritis, fat, cancer etc.

in our body. For proper functioning of

our body Omega-3 and omega-6 are

required in equal proportion i.e. in 1:1

ratio. Omega-3 is hero and Omega-6 is

the villain. The increased quantity of

omega-6 spreads inflamation in the

body. Omega-3 cures inflamation, pro-

vides relief. If Omega-6 is heater than

Omega-3 is cool air of Sawan. Omega-

6 makes us the victim of tension,

headache, depression whereas Omega-

3 keeps our mind happy, relieves us

from anger, increases our memory

power and intelligence. Omega-6

reduces our age (life) whereas Omega-

3 increases age. Omega-6 causes dis-

ease in the body where as Omega-3

increases our resistance power to fight

diseases. Since last few decades the

quantity of Omega-6 has increased in

our body whereas the quantity of

Omega-3 has decreased. Fast food

being sold by Multinational companies

are full of Omega-6. All the refined oils

available in the market are full of

Omega-6 fatty acid. A recent research

has revealed that Omega-3 is found

very less and Omega-6 is found very

high in our food and this is the main

reason of diseases like high blood pres-

sure, heart attack, stroke, diabetes, fat-

ness, gouts, depression, asthama, can-

The Miracle ofalsi on diabetes

and fatnessAlsi

Controls blood sugarand reduces the ill-effects of sugar on

body. Doctors advisediabetic to take less

sugar and more fibre.Mix flour of wheat

and alsi contains 50%carbon 16% protein

and 20% fibre. Itmeans its glycemic

index is very less thanwheat flour. Which

other food will be bet-ter than this mixed

flour? It is very usefulfor a fatty person.

Alsi has rich quantityof fibre. Hence after

consuming alsi stom-ach remain filled till a

long time. A persondoes not feel hunger

for a long time. Itincreases B.M.R.,

reduces the fat of thebody and we spend

more calorie.

made in America, alsi contains more

than 27 anti cancer elements. Aids

Research Assistant Institute (ARAT)

conducted research on the effects of

lignen on Aids patients in 2002 and it

has brought surprising results. In the

guidance of ARAI, Dr. Daniel Daves

says that in the coming days lignen is

going to be the cheap, easy and effec-

tive treatment of AIDS.

Natural beauty productAlsi is very beneficial in many diseases

like - pimples, ring worm, scabbies,

bark disease, drying and falling of hair,

thinning of hair etc. Omega-3 found in

alsi make hair health, strong and shin-

ing. Those who eat alsi never get dan-

druff. Alsi makes skin attractive, soft,

humid and fair. It makes nail healthy

and beautiful. Eating alsi and oing mas-

saging of its oil removes spots, marks,

dark facial freckles, wrinkles. Alsi

keeps you young. You look younger

than your age. It gives longevity.

ImmunityAlsi increases our immunity. It is very

beneficial in rheumatism, gout, sprain

etc. Alsi is full of Omega-3 and helps in

proper functioning of liver, kidneys,

adrinal and thyroid glands. It provides

relief in lupus nephraitis and asthama.

Divine food for mind andneuro system :-Alsi keeps our mind peaceful. It’s use

keeps us happy, we have good

thoughts. It cures tension. It enhauces

intelligency and memory power and

controls anger. Consumption of alsi

gives divine power and energy to our

mind and body. Alsi is beneficial in

many diseases like alzheimers, multi-

ple cirrhosis, depression, migrane,

cer etc. Deficiency of Omega-3 can be

meet very easily by consuming 30-60

gm. alsi. This Omega-3 gives the status

of super food to Alsi.

Beneficial for heart and bloodvesselsAlsi keeps our blood pressure under

control. Alsi increases the quantity of

good cholestrol (HDC cholestrol) and

reduces the quantity of triglyceroids

and bad cholestrol (LDL cholestrol). It

does not allow the formation of blood

clots in the blood vessels of heart and

saves us from heart attack and stroke.

People who take alsi do not die sud-

denly due to heart diseases. It controls

the heart beat and reduces the mortality

rate regarding ventricular astrimia.

Alsi is the biggest source ofanti cancer lignin. The second important nutritious ele-

ment found in alsi is lignin. Lignin is

found many hundred times more in alsi

in comparison to other food grains.

Lignen is antibacterial, antiviral, anti-

fungul and anti cancerous and it

increases immunity. Lignen reduces

cholestrol and controls blood sugar.

Lignen is really a superstar nutritious

element. Lignen works like female har-

mone estrogen in plants and trees. After

menopause estrogen release in female

body get reduced and women have to

face many problems such as hot flush-

es, osteoporosis etc. Lignen provides

relief in all these problems. Lignen

cures the irregularities related to men-

struation. Lignen saves us from the

cancer of prostate, ovary, breast, intes-

tine and skin. If enough milk is not pro-

duced in a woman’s breast then she

should consume alsi, it produces milk

in breasts within 24 hours. If a mother

consumer alsi plenty of Omega-3

remains present in her milk and she

gives birth to a more intelligent and

healthy child. According to a research

Miraculous fibrein stomach dis-ordersAlsi contains 27% soluble(musilage) and non solu-ble, both types of fibre.Hence alriproves benefi-cial for the patients ofconstipation, wart, piles, fistula, diverticalaitis, alcerative colaitis andI.B.S. Alsi provides reliefin constipation on thevery first day of its use.According to a recentresearch this alsi is morebeneficial that the bhussiof isabgol. Alsi does notallow the formation ofstone (pathri) in the gallblader and if stones(pathris) are already therethen the small stones startmelting.

schizophrenia and parkinson. Omega-3

is important for the conceived child’s

proper growth of eyes and brains.

Omega-3 make our eyesight better. We

become able to see colours more

brightly and clearly. By putting alsi oil

in eyes dryness of eyes go away and the

possibility of kala pani and cataract

become less. Alsi contributes signifi-

cantly in the treatment of increased

prostate gland, importence, premature

ejeculation etc.

Anti cancer protocol of Dr.Yohana BudwizAny article on alsi is incomplete with-

out the mention of Dr. Yohana Budwiz.

She was the world famous cancer sci-

entist of Germany who had developed

the method of cancer treatment with

alsi oil, paneer, anti cancer fruits and

vegetables. She treated all types of dis-

eases like cancer, rheumatism, heart

attack, diabetes etc. Her success rate

was more than 90%. Her treatment also

cured those patients who used to be dis-

charged by the hospital by leaving

them on the mercy of god. Her name

was selected 7 times for Noble prize

but she never received it because a con-

dition was put before her that she will

use chemotherapy and radiotherapy

along with alsi and paneer. But this

condition was not acceptable to her.

Number one in body buildingalsoAlsi is an important and complete food

for body building. Alsi contains 20%

good proteins containing amino acid.

Protein builds muscles. Alsi gives

tremendous strength. Tiredness of mus-

cles after exercise immediately goes

away. According to an article ‘Best of

the best’ published in the magazine

‘Muscle Media’ in 2000, alsi has been

declared super food for body. In his

article ‘Ask the guru’ Mr. Ducken has

awarded the number one spot to alsi in

body building food. Alsi gives us

tremendous strength and transmits new

energy in us and increases our stamina.

Method of consumptionWe should take 30-60gm. alsi every-

day. Grind 30-60gm alsi in grinder and

mix it in flour. Make paranthas and

rotis of it and eat them. It is also used in

bread, cake, cookies, ice cream, laddu

etc. Sprouted alsi’s taste is wonderful.

You contake it with subzi, curd, daal,

salad etc. It should be stored in grinded

form. Grind it daily. If you store grind-

ed alsi it will become useless. Regular

intake of alsi brings miraculous

changes in our life. It is our bad luck

that American Govt. has declared its oil

un edible. Around 20 years ago the oil

of alsi was called linseed oil. Founder

of Bionatures company of America

Mike Minarish had read the books of

Dr. Budwiz, he came to know the qual-

ities and properties of alsi oil and

imported it from Germany. But custom

officials sent back their cargo by saying

that it is not fit for human consumption.

Milk solved this problem. Hence the

plant of alsi used to be called flex, Mr.

Mike imported alsi oil as flex seed oil.

Since then linseed is known as flex

seed. Today Bionatures is the biggest

company of America, as far as the pro-

duction and export of alsi oil is con-

cerned.

“That almightyis omnipresent inthis jagat. Wehave come intothis world as hiscompanion. Wehave come intothis world to par-ticipate in his funand frolic”.

....then to leavethis world andescape from itis what type ofwisdom”.

objective of our yoga is self-completeness, and not the self-deletion. There are two paths decided for the yoga, retirementfrom the world and the self completion. First path is obtained bysanyas and the other is achieved by penance.First path welcomes us when we loose God in the world. Second isachieved when we make the world complete in God. Let us adoptthe path of completeness, not the path of sanyas. Our aim shouldbe to achieve victory in war, not to run away from all types ofstruggle.

The

Shree Arvind

‘Objectiveof Our

Yoga’

Buddha and Shankara had viewed this world as false and full of

sorrows. Hence the wisest thing for them was to run away from the

world. But this jagat (world) is Brahma, this jagat is Ishwar, jagat

is satya and jagat is anand.

The only thing which is false is our mental ego which makes us to

see and understand the world in an illusive from. The main reason

of our sorrows and pitiable condition is our wrong relationship with

God. Nothing else is false and nothing else is thereason of our sor-

row (pain).

God created this world (Srishti) in itself through maya. But maya

doesn’t means illusion. But it means intelligence, knowledge, capa-

bility, wide spreadness in consciousness. ‘Pragya prasrita purani’.

Sarvasamarth mistake of ‘anant swapna drishta’. ‘Sarvagyanmayi’

power expresses it within itself or expresses it intit’s personal

pleasure or conceals it. This is not any restriction imposed by its

own ignorance on free and complete (muketa nad poorna) Brahma.

If jagat is self imposed nightmare on itself by itself then natural and

only aim of our supreme effort would have been to get asleep of it

or if this worldly jagat is necessarily is fully of sorrows then the

only mystery worth discovering would have been to find the way

to get free from it. But achieving complete truth in this jagtik life

is possible because here God sees everything with eyes of truth and

then achieving ‘poorn anand’ in this jagat is possible because God,

with the pure emotion of freedom, enjoys all things. If we merge

our entity of emotion of ego with the entity of God and both of

them merge together and become one and accept to receive bhag-

wat drishti and bhagwat swatantrya then we can enjoy this truth

and enjoyment which has been called ‘amritam’, immortality in

vedas. Jagat is an action of god happening in its own entity. We are

the centres and glands of divine consciousness who coming togeth-

er, execute and bear the methods of Bhagwat kriya. This jagat Itself

is fun and frolic of God with its personal atamchetan anand. It is the

fun and frolic of that God whose existence is the only existence,

which is endless, free and complete. There are self created multiple

forms of sachetan anand and tthey have been brought into existence

for becoming a partner of God in his fun and frolic.

This jagat is a formula, a metre, a system of symbols which

expresses God in own consciousness for God itself. This jagat has

no material entity. Its existence is merely in his consciousness and

self-expression. We are also like God. We are the same God thing

in our internal entity which have found expression. But in our outer

entity, we are the words of the formula, we are the sounds of that

metre, we are the symbols of that method. Let us take forward this

action of God, let us complete his leela.

Let us execute and implement his sutra and execute their coordina-

tion (combination), manifest them through us in their method. It is

our happiness, it is self-completeness. In order to achieve this

target we, who are superior than world and past, have entered into

the world entity.

We have to practice purnatva, we have to practice the coordination.

Incompletion. limitness death, sorrow, ingnorance, inertness, all

these are the initial steps of this sutra. Unless we do not execute

these broader steps, unless we can not understand them. These are

the initial sound of a musician until he finds the proper words

(sounds).

We have to make completeness out of incompleteness, we have to

find limitlessness out of the limit, we have to find the divine hap-

piness out of the bereavment. We have to uplift the divine self-

knowledge out of ignorance. We have to make the manifestation of

atma out of inertion. To achieve this target for ourselves and for

mankind is the objective of our Yogabhayas.

Multinational Companies andCorruptionMost of the time such prime Ministers,

Ministers, Party leaders or Presidents are

found guilty of taking bribe whose photos

and names appear in fashionable maga-

zines and newspapers. Those head of the

states have often saved multinational com-

panies from bankruptcy who are involved

in taking bribe in deals. For example,

American Government arranged the loans

amounting to twenty five crore dollars

from private banks on its own guarantee to

'lockheed' company to help it in overcom-

ing financial difficulties. Lockheed scan-

dal is one of the most talked about scandals

of the world. Some of the proved cases of

giving bribe to Lockheed and some other

such companies, are given below:

 In Netherland, husband of Queen

liana, Pince Burnhard took bribe

from multi national companies many

time. Burnhard was the director of

Fokar Air craft and Royal Dutch Air

to maximize their profit, these multina-

tional companies take the help of bribe

and make corruption. These companies

bribe the head of the nations and leaders

of those countries, where these compa-

nies operate their business. These com-

panies are found involved in the actions

of giving bribe and their names are often

found on luxury cars, military equip-

ments or aeroplanes. All the first class

multinational companies of the world

give bribe to get big projects :-

son Lockheed company was interest-

ed in them. Lockheed company paid

Burnhard as bribe between year

1961-1971.

The then President of Italy, Lione

was also given bribe by Lockheed

company "After coming into light of

the case President Lione had to

resign from his post." The then home

minister Luigi Gui had also to resign

from his post as he was involved in

the Lockheed scandal.

Home Minister had supported the

purhase of C-130 transport planes.

Although the people and experts of

Italy were opposing the deal. Experts

were of the opinion that the indige-

nous Italian planes were cheaper and

were better than the aeroplanes of

Lockheed company, Italian party had

informed the Lockheed company

that unless they are paid for support-

ing the deal, this deal will not be

materialised. Lockheed understood

their intention and paid 22 lakh dol-

lars to President, Home Minister,

and Defence minister.

Ex Prime Ministers of Japan -

Tanaka, Kishi and Fukuda had also

taken bribe and were involved in

scams. Prime Minister Tanaka took

bribe from Lockheed and when the

allegation was proved he was jailed.

Prime Minister Kishi and Fukuda

had received 12 lakh dollars from

American company Grumman as

Party of Japan had also taken 92 lakh

dollars from Lockheed.

 Ex Defence Minister of West

Germany Frenz Joseph Struss had

companies of west are engaged in oil

exploration in Egypt's Israel occu-

incident took place there. It came to

the knowledge that equipments

required for performing work at sea

shore were available nearby in

Oman. Hence, bribe of 10 lakh dol-

lars was given to the officers of

Oman to ensure that when the derik

(an equipment which is used in the

work of oil exploration) is being

stolen, they do not pay any attention

to it. So, in this manner the derik of

Oman was stolen and transported to

the Egypt's Israel occupied region.

 American company Tate and Loyale

managed to execute the agreement

regarding sugar import and con-

vinced Shah Pahlavi to sign on the

agreement. Later on, Iran came to

know that the import of sugar was

not needed because there was plenty

of stock of sugar already available in

Iran. Hence Iran suffered a loss of 4

crore 50 lakh dollar and this compa-

ny earned additional profit by selling

sugar in world market at a much

higher price.

During the investigation of the much

talked about 'Watergate' scandal of

America, it was revealed that 17

American companies had made huge

contributions to the election fund of

President Nixon. 1,50,000 dollars

mentary committee which is still

going on. Till now Rs. 250 crores

Prime Minister in order to maintain

those secrets.

In the year 1981, the Indian Govt.

social welfare fund.

Security scam of 1993 which took

place in India is considered the

biggest scam in the economic histo-

ry of the world. In this scam thou-

sands of crore rupees of the people

of the country got lost and the bene-

ficiaries were foreign banks and

multinational companies. The joint

parliamentary committee constituted

by govt. for investigation had clearly

held foreign banks responsible for

this scam. City Bank, Bank of

America, ANZ Grindlays bank and

Standard Chartered Bank played a

major role in the whole scam. These

banks clean swept the Foreign

common man of the country was

forced to purchase the sugar at a

costly price. Poor man of the country

had to purchase the sugar at 18 to 20

rupees per kg. instead of rupees 12

per kg.

 In this manner, multinational compa-

nies have not only opened their

branches all over the world but they

also have powerful access to all the

governments of the world.

Multinationalcompanies areglobally widespread.Everywherefrom the earthto sky they havetheir presence.

But with theirnames one morething has global-ly spread... Thatis corruption. The corruptionsand scams arevery commonwhere ever thesecompanies havetheir influence.

This revolution is for the restructuring of Indian and for fulfilling many noble creative

pledges. It contains no feeling of destruction of any body, but it is a call of welfare of

whole mankind, it is a call of Bharatodaya and re-establishment of noble human and

national traditions. All the patriot citizens of this country, it’s sons and daughters, young

men and young women, children, mature persons, old people, farmers, labours, soldiers,

brothers and sisters, mother-father, whole family, journalists, writers, teachers, intellec-

tuals, doctors, advocates, scientists, and people working in different fields should give

strength and power to this pledge. No body should be allowed to remain unawakened

on this occasion of renaissance. The wait is over. The wait of such an ‘Avtar’ is over

who will save Indian from downfall. This call of ‘Bharat Swabhiman’ of great sanyasi

Swami Ram Dev is the call of common man. Nobody should dare to turndown this call

which is aimed at guiding the power of the people in the right direction.

This is the call of gyanodaya rise of knowledge which will make this nation free from

darkness. It is the call of giving right direction to Indian’s progress, of providing new

and right direction to the whole world. Everybody should give up uncertainity, hesita-

tion, doubt, fear, pressure, greed, inaction, distrust, stupidity, bias and prejudice and put

his body and soul with sole and full devotion to fulfil the pledge of ‘Bharat Swabhiman’

of Baba Ram Dev. It is the need of the hour. That, who is not listening this timely and

mandatory call of a tapasvi, yogi, rishi and sanyasi is a very unfortunate and inactive

person. Such a person is a killer of himself and is a nation killer also. Such types of per-

osns will prove themselves as useless persons.

The empire of wickeds, corrupts, devils and villains may be very powerful and strong

Proclamation of a

great revolution has

just begun. No body should neglect the

call of this ideological, spiritual, cultural,

national and political revolution. This

call is the best pledge of India’s progress.

This is the best way for every Indian who

is the well-wisher of India and who sees

actual aim, supreme duty and giving

meaning to his life as an Indian, lies in

this path (way). To run away from this

path is the path of destruction. All the

fellow countrymen should devote them-

selves to fulfil the dream of great Sanyasi

capacity and capability to make this call

successful and provide their full support

and co-operation.

but it is the order of vedas, eternal tradition of Bharatvarsh to establish a chakravarti

empire of Shreshthas and Aryas on the foundation of humanity. In order

to achieve this target people have always supported the leadership

of good persons by sacrificing their lives.

There are times in India when there was dreadful and intense

darkness, when country saw the downfall, but bobody has ever

been able to destroy the seed of that tradition which has always

shown the way of emergence of politics of people’s welfare and

which has always helped in the establishment of best rajdharma and revival

of nation. Time to time such a thinker, sanyasi, rishi and tapasvi has taken birth

in this country who have kept the flame of this spirituality and politics of human

welfare alive. And at appropriate time this flame of relentless efforts and traditions

have always taken the form of a fierce light pole and spilled all the darkness.

Today, The whole country is watching Baba Ram Dev as a light pole. But the blackness

of corrupt politics is such intense and dark that today it seems impossible to trust any-

one as a reformer of politics. In this intense darkness of distrust, it is necessary to hold

this torch of light with full confidence and this torch has been lit by Baba Ram Dev.

This continuous flow of hope, faith and trust will definitely become successful in build-

ing a shining India, nobody should have any doubt about it.

In order to establish a good system of governance, the united power of public is

required. People who are aware about their rights and duties are able to make good

rulers. Detatchment towards state system is not required but proper guidance is required.

Such people who feel fear of corrupt rulers, people who make compromise for the sake

of their personal interests, greed, allurement and money, people who get scared of under

pressure, cannot get good rulers ever. Baba Ram Dev has taken pledge to change the

overall corrupt system of state, he has taken a pledge to change the corrupt system and

governance which takes public to corrupt practices. He has taken a pledge to establish

noble human system. It is necessary that is should become the pledge of common man

of India also.

Governance should not be for the welfare of selected persons it should be for the wel-

fare of everyone. It should be of solving the problems of all the people. It should not

encourage and provoke riots, bad habits, unemployment and social indifferences among

public. Today Indian needs such type of politics which should have ideals, which should

have the will of nation’s progress, which should have contribution of all the persons and

which should not be aimed only about the progress of selected people. The right direc-

tion of politics can help in making a poor person free from dearths and deprivations and

can contribute in the progress of the nation. This is an important through his Bharat

Swabhiman movement and it is necessary that all the brave and truthful perosn and

patriots should give full support to this movement.

Great human values of vedic culture should spread to every nook and corner of the

world, all the work of our country should be perfomed in our own languages and

Sanskritand Hindu should get the status of a national unification language. All the lan-

guages of India should get respect. All the people of the country should leave behind

communalism, regionalism and caste related differences and should act together in

developing the power and good qualities of this nation. This type of a political tradition

should take place in the revolution whose proclamation has been made by Baba Ram

Dev from Patanjali Yog Peeth.

To make India free from corrupt ‘politics and to abolish the dominance and monopoly

of such politicians who have made this country hollow, it is necessary that organised

manpower, good determination and unbeatable will power and mental strength should

be there. This pledge is such a great yagya that such a person who do not contribute to

it, will be treated like an unreligious, devil soul.

Today the people of India are waiting for such a political or non-political leadership

which can enable us to face the challenges of the nation, which can take us to the

progress. Public consciousness of this nation is very sharp and this nation is ready to

wake up like a lion by just getting the right leadership and then this widespread corrup-

tion, poverty, unemployment, crime of the criminals, disturbances created by terrorists

will come to an end.

Today nation is in need of such a leadership which can give full support to the public,

which can take into consideration their views and which can prepare them for revolu-

tion. Such a leadership should not favour a particular type of class or caste. It should

become the carrier of a politics which thinks about everyone’s welfare. Every citizen of

India should get justice, respect, employment, proper education, healthy facilities. Such

a leadership is required which can motivate the youth of the country to take India to the

new heights of progress and achievements, which can motivate them to make this coun-

try the best and ideal country of the world.

This country belongs to every person residing here. Welfare of all should be made.

In order to save the democracy the politics of class system, caste system, religionism

should be abolished forever. Today country is becoming unorganised, its unity is get-

ting destroyed, the power of criminals is increasing, inhumanity is increasing chaos,

lawlessness, indiscipline is increasing, negligency towards noble deeds, anarchy and

law breaking tendency is on the rise. This all is due to the directionless, ideologyless

and principleless politics. poverty, illegal works, idleness and crowd of mannerless peo-

ple is growing. Common man is distressed by loot, dacoity, adulteraion, cheating, price

rise and many types of deprivations. Violence, aggression, murder, crime is on the rise.

People have no faith in ideals, victory of truth and rules, laws and duties. Influential

persons and leaders are indulged in their luxuries and comforts and pay not attention to

the country. They are making the future of this country darken. This condition of the

country is very horrible and there is a need to change it.

This condition can be changed. Any fighter sanyasi, selfless karmayogi, hard decision

maker, but wellwisher of all, can do this work and should do this work. People of the

country are with Baba Ram Dev. People are getting mobilised under his leadership.

People have greath expectations from him. People are getting attracted towards Bharat

Swabhiman movement with great faith.

The history of sacrifices of Ram, krishna and Chanakya is the testimony of this fact that

soldiers, and patriotic people have supported the good leadership and dethroned and

destroyed the might empire of devils, villains, corrupt people. That very history, the

repetition of those events is going to execute itself today. It is the need of the hour that

no Indian should abstain himself from his duty.

Bharat Swabhiman movement has fixed it’s targets of changing the system by under-

standing the history of the whole nation, by understanding the reasons of nation’s

downfall and deterioration, by understanding the hardships, problems and sufferings of

peoples by taking into consideration the each aspect and after proper thinking and dis-

cussion. To back track from these targets will be cowardice.

To adopt the path of escapism by giving up the path of truth will be too much of cowardice.

The people associated with Bharat Swabhiman movement are carrying a national

mantra, we should be fully dedicated to this mantra. All we people who are carrying the

mantra of nationality are united and no one can divide us, misguide us and noone can

create any type of confusion in us. When many determined people, who are fully ded-

icated to nation, will continue to march forward with the pledge of victory by facing

many sufferings, and remaining totally devoted and unperturbed, to achieve their tar-

get, then no one can stop the victory of truth.

This nation has an unbeatable ‘pranshakti’. This pranshakti is the base of this nation.

Every worker of Bharat Swabiman movement should make a call to such unbeatable

pranshakti and should bear it. When many determined, dedicated young and brave men

will march forward like the sacred eternal flow of Ganga, to accomplish this rashtra

yagya and to achieve national targets, by wearing this pranshakti and facing many chal-

lenges, no power of the word will be able to stop them. and definitely we will be suc-

cessful in achieving the target of progress of India and protection of noble ideals of

humanity. When by the grace of the god, blessings and leadership of Sanyasi Ram Dev

are with us then the victory of truth is certain.

Page 43: YogSandesh November Eng2010

is an important festival of Hindus. This festival is celebrated in all

over the country with tremendous fanfare and pompousness. It is a

sacred festival which falls between rainy season and winter season. Jwar, bajra,

makka, dhaan, kapas etc. are the production of this very season. These crops are

called ‘kharif’ crops.

There are many stories behind this festival. It is said that when Lord Rama returned

Ayodhya after killing Ravana, on that day deeyas were kindled in each home and

nagar (cities) to celebrate this occasion. It is also said that on that day Lord Krishna

had killed Narkasur. It is also said that Lord Vishnu dressed up like a vaman and

had tested the generosity of Daityraj. Bali and had killed his ego, Hence this festi-

val is celebrated in the memory of Lord Vishnu.

According to Jain religion, twenty fourth Teerthankar Lord Mahavira had illumi-

nated this earth for the last time on this day. The founder of Arya Samaj Swami

Dayanand Saraswati had also died on the day of Deepawali. It is said that the

Rajsooya Yagya of Yudhisthir had also completed on this very day.

This festival is celebrated for five days. On the thirteenth day (troyadashi),

Dhanteras is celebrated. Purchasing new utensils is considered very auspicious on

this day. There is a famous story behind it, On that very day of Samudra Manthan,

the vaidya of devtas, Dhanvantri had come out of samudra (sea). Hence this day is

also celebrated as Dhanvantri Jayanti. On the second day i.e. on kartik krishna

Chaturdashi, narak chaturashi or Chhoti Deepawali is celebrated. On that day Lord

Krishna had killed Narkasur hence this day is celebrated as ‘Narak Chaturdashi’.

To remove and clean distiners and filthiners from our houses is considered the sym-

bol of the death of Narkasur. Deepawali is also associated with trader community.

Traders celebrate it as the day of ‘Lakshmi worship’. Traders of all the states of the

country worship the idol of Lakshmi and start their new account book. It is also called

“Lakshmi pujan Diwas.” Lakshmi Pujan goes on all the night. The paath of Lakshmi stotra is

a also performed which is aimed at Lakshmi Pujan.

In the religious world of India, recitation of Gopal Sahastranaam (a bhakti granth)

is also made. Devotees do not sleep in the night and continuously make ‘smaran’

of names of God. The celebration of Deepawali is in fact the symbol of veerpuja

and veer vijay. It is considered the symbol of knowledge instead of ignorance. Like

wise Indians should erase and eradicate darkness from their country and should

bring in happiness and prosperity. We should remove the darkness of illiteracy, dis-

crimination based upon caste and poverty and should fill the light of Deepwali in

the life of jyotirgamya will prove its meaning and only then Deepawali will be

meaningful.

ment of 'Sarvang' is possible through the

chaturas development of eachorgan then

why the progress of each counry is not

necessary for the progress of the whole

world whether a person who love all the

children can't be loving to his own chil-

dren. Whether it is necessary to have an

unloving attitude towards other children

is essential for having a loving attitude

towards your own children? whether the

children of a particular person can grow

up without getting his love and affec-

tion. Whether a religious person who

love all the children of the world can't

have loving and affectionate attitude

towards his own children for their

upbringing and development. If all these

things are possible then why Swami

Dayanand can't be 'Bharat Bhakta' and

wellwisher of India inspite of being a

universal dharmopdeshta Sanyasi. Such

a person is a person without any self

respect who doesn't have the feeling of

'Swadeshhit' and 'Swajatiyata.' He is like

a dead man. Similarly is there any

vishwaktumbi Sanyasi who can become

selfish and thankless towards his

motherland by forgetting her uncount-

able benefaction? Then how he can be

the sinful thankless person forgetting his

growth and development through the

dead particles of 'Swargadapi gariyasi'?

How can he forget the growth and

development of his body which has

been possible through the intake of his

motherland's food and water? Can we

expect these shortcomings in a famous

and great person like Swami Dayanand?

Never. That is the reason we find

Maharishi Swami Dayand Saraswati full

of the emotion of patriotism and old

pride of 'aryavart in his articles. He is

deeply attched with it. Many quotations

in this regard can be quoted from his

articles. But we do not want to repeat

them here because we don’t want to

elaborate this article. Going through the

gist of his quotations from his articles it

can be said without any doubt that

maharishi Dayanand was no less than a

patriot and a nationalist.

Many people consider that the boycot of

foreign clothes and adoption of India

clothes had started due to the partition of

Bengal and consider it a peculiar feature

of gandhian age. But if they will make a

historical research in this case they will

come to know that no one at any time in

any of the political movement had made

a demand to boycot foreign clothes. At

that times the founder of Arya Samaj

mahrishi Dayanand had raised a demand

of boycotting foreign things in his book

'Satyathprakash.' But following his

words many of his followers like Pandit

Gurdutt, Lala Sai Das and Mahatma

Mushi Ram (Swami Shradhanan Ji)

used to wear only Indian clothes. The

credit of discovering earth's revolution

and gravitation force goes to the Indian

scientists Arya bhatta etc. But its credit

is given to western astrologers.

Similarly the credit of making first

'updesh' regarding wearing only Indian

clothes goes to Swami Dayanand.

Although credit in this regard is given to

Mahatma Gandhi for its tremendous

publicity. Maharishi Dayanand's contri-

bution and uphill task of re-establishing

the pride of the past is really unforget-

table in the Indian history.

-niyam are important parts of yog. A yogi can’t achieve his self growth without observing them. The observance of yam-niyam is very important for a yogi to perform sadhna with peaceful and clean mind. Yoga is nothing but purity of soul.

If mind is disturbed and is confused with different thoughts and ambitions, then there is no use of doing yogabhyas.

esty. First two steps of yog sadhna are

yam and niyam. I am of the view that

these two steps are also the last steps

of yog because we have also to

observe yam-niyam alongwith the

practice of these six angas - succes-

sive asans, pranayam, pratyahar,

dharna, dhyan and samadhi, till the

last. Without doing it we can’t reach

to the final target of ‘Moksha Prapti’.

On the contrary of it, the true sadhak

of yam-niyam can become eligible for

moksha. An ill, old, handicapped,

illite rateperson can also achieve

‘vairagya’ through the sadhna of yam-

niyam. Hence, I call them final steps

also.

To live a yogful and spiritual life, to

live a happy life in the other world

(parlok) and to make this life plea-

sureable, peaceful and enjoyable for

ourselves, we have to adopt the two

basic parts of ‘ashtang yog’ - yam and

niyam with full dedication and hon-

(speaking truth and sweet words),

asteya (not to steal anything),

Brahmacharya (there are three mean-

ings of Brahma. 1. Semen 2.

Knowledge 3. God. Therefore, brah-

macharya means to save semen, (2) to

gain knowledge (3) self-interview,

aparigrah (not to store money and

things more than the required quanti-

ty). These are five social yamas.

These five yamas are the foundation

of yog. Patanjali has described yamas

as Sarvabhom maha vratas. There is

no restriction of time, space or caste

on them. The importance of these val-

ues is undisputed for the progress and

development of human being and

human society and for world peace.

Niyamas are also five :-‘Shouch, Santosh, Tapa, Swadhyay

and Ishwar pranidhan. Out of them

tapa and Ishwar pranidhan needs some

clarification. Pair of two things

(yugal) is called dwandwa like - hap-

piness - sorrow, respect - insult, cold-

hot, victory - defeat, prosperity - dis-

tress, fame - bad name, birth - death.

To face these dwandwas in equal man-

ner is tapa. Ishwar Pranidhan means

surrender. Therefore, Ishwar pranid-

han means devote your every work to

the God. Don't consider yourself karta,

consider yourself only ‘nimitt matra’.

Now the question is, what is the bene-

fit of it? It will eradicate our ego. If

ego is gone every thing is achieved.

Merely by saying ‘Idann mam’ the

thought of humbleness and peace

came to the mind. Our faith in god

evoked. Manu Maharaj says that body

gets purified by water, mind gets puri-

fied by touch, jeevatma gets purified

by atamgyan and tapa and intellect

gets purified by gyan (knowledge).

Man can achieve this ideal position

observing yam-niyam. If we do not

observe yam-niyam, our individual as

well as societal life will become the

victim of chaos, anarchy, corruption

and autocracy. It is the result of not

giving due importance to yam-niyam

in human life that adulteration is being

made in food items and life saving

drugs. One third population of the

country is deprived of food, cloth,

shelter, education, medical science,

security and justice. The main reason

of it is not to follow the yam-niyam.

The spiritual image of the country is

vanishing. Some people are calling

yog as kasrat (exercise). We feel very

sorry regarding their ignorance of yog.

Had yog merely mean an exercise then

every pahalwan of the country would

have been a yogi. Not only that, P.T.I.

of the school, man performing differ-

ent skills in circus and even the acro-

bat would have been a yogi. But the

situation is quite contrary to it. Yog is

a spiritual means whose first two steps

are yam and niyam. To begin from

here we have to make self-progress

and achieve the ultimate target of life

i.e. moksha. Hence, every yog sadhak

or a person living a religious life

should follow these yam-niyams.

Definitely many births are needed for

this work. But don't get disappointed,

march forward. Effort never goes

waste.

Nov. 2010 | Yog Sandesh | 47

The meaning of‘Pranidhan’ is tosurrender. HenceIshwar Pranidhanmeans dedicatingyour each actionto the God.Consider yourselfmerely ‘nimittmatra’ not karta. This will eradicateego. If ego goes, everything will beachieved.

As mentionedearlier, yama is

beneficial forsociety. Niyamas

are important forindividual

progress. Niyamasare meant for

physical as well asinternal purifica-

tion.

name of Queen of Jhansi Rani Lakshmi Bai is counted in the leading brave women of the coun-try. When in the year 1943, Netaji Subhash had thought of forming a woman regiment in AzadHind Fauj in Singapore, then that regiment was named 'Rani Jhansi Regiment'. By chance, the

first commander of this regiment was also a lady whose name was Colonel Lakshmi Swaminathan.

The

If we see with a little sympathy we will find

that happiness was not in her luck. The

pleasure was merely of name and suffer-

ings, trouble and sorrows were unlimited

and gigantic. In such adverse circum-

stances. how did she manage to earn such

name-fame, is a matter of surprise.

Her parents had named her 'Manikarnika'

and her nick name was 'Manubai'. Her

father Moropant was a servant in the royal

court of Peshwa Baji Rao second. His wife

Bhgirathi Bai was a religious lady. Baji Rao

Second had no issue. Hence Britishers took

over their rule and fixed a pension for him.

Then Peshwa left the Pune and settled in

Bithur near Kanpur. At the same time,

Moropant left the royal court of Peshwa

and went to Varansi. There Bhagirathi Bai

gave birth to a girl on a November, 1835

who was named Manikarnika. When

Manikarnika (Manu Bai) was four years old

her mother Bhagirathi Bai died untimely.

The world of Moropant got ruined. Now

the responsibility of upbringing of his

daughter came to his lonely shoulders.

Then he took his daughter with him and

again went to the shelter of Peshwa.

Peshwa had no child of his own. Hence he

adopted two children-one was Nana Saheb

Dundi Raj Pant and other was Rao Saheb.

But British Govt. Disapproved this adop-

tion method.

Moropant was entrusted the task of educat-

ing these children. Since they all used to

live in the same haveli Manu bai become

'Dharam Behin' of Nana Saheb. Manu Bai's

education and initiation went on with Nana

Saheb and Rao Saheb. Normally the educa-

tion of girls used to be different from boys,

but there was no such facility. She used to

wear the dresses of boys. She learnt horse

riding and used of arms and weapons and

become expert in them. She was very beau-

tiful. Hence she was named 'Chabili'. She

was full of energy. She was full of sense of

humour and joy.

That period of fun and frolic and carefree-

ness remained only till the age of 7 years.

Moropant become worried about her mar-

riage. In those days there was the

prevalance of child marriage. The family

and social status of bridegroom had so

much importance that his age and health

was not taken care of. It was the hard

heartedness of Moropant that he married 13

year old Manu bai to the old king of Jhansi

Ganga Dhar Rao.

The wife of king Gangadhar Rao had died.

he had no issue of his own. As a result of it

he wanted to remarry. In such works, pun-

dits-purohits are proved very useful.

Rajpurohit of Jhansi, Tatya Dikshit once

had gone to Bithur. There Moropant

showed him the horoscope of her daughter

Manu Bai. After seeing horoscope and the

girl Tatya said that for Manu Bai there is a

chance (Yog) of becoming a queen in the

horoscope. A thought of marriage between

Gangadhar Rao and Manu Bai came to his

mind. God knows what was written in the

horoscope but Dikshit ji had firm belief that

neither Gangadhar Rao nor Moropant will

be able to turn down the proposal of mar-

riage. Some people say that at that time

Manu Bai was 13 years of age. But accord-

ing to some others, she was of 7 years of

age at the time of her marriage. The only

important thing is that she was very young

at the time of her marriage.

Marriage took place in 1848 (or in 1842).

The hope of a child was minimal due to the

health of Ganga Dhar Rao. In the year

1857, Manu Bai (She was named Lakshmi

Bai in her in-laws after marriage) gave birth

to a son. But the child Anand Rao was very

weak. he managed to survive for three

months and after that due to fever he died.

It was dreadful shock for Lakshmi Bai and

Raja Saheb. Gangadhar adopted Damodar

Rao as he was not hopeful of having anoth-

er child of his own. He wanted to make him

the successor of his kingdom. But British

Govt. did not approve adoption.

Gangadhar's state of health was already

very bad. His condition deteriorated due to

tensions and worries. Gandhar Rao died in

1853 leaving behind the dispute of adopted

son and kingdon of Jhansi.

“Rani Lakshmi Bai faced the diplomatic

conspiracies of Britishers very bravely.

Jhansi with 10 thousand soldiers. But

Lakshmibai gave him a befitted reply and

Nathe Khan suffered heavy loss and had to

return. Then he provoked the Britishers and

asked them to take action against her.

British Govt. issued the order to this effect

that the kingdom of Jhansi is being merged

in British empire. Queen refused to obey

this order of Maharajyapal and said,

“Jhansi is mine. I will not give it any cost.”

But following the principle of ‘might is

right’, the Britishers took over charge of

Jhansi forcibly. Company’s locks were put

on treasury. Queen Lakshmi Bai started liv-

ing like a prisoner in her own place.

She made correspondence with Governor

but it was of no use. The British flag was

hoisted on the fort of Jhansi. Queen was

very helpless and waited for an appropriate

opportunity.

After sometime the revolt of 1857 took

place in which Nana Saheb, Rao Saheb,

Rani Lakshmi Bai, Tatya Tope etc. were

playing active role. On 14 June, 1857

regional armies (forces) revolted against

Britishers and attacked the fort. The fort

was handed over to Rani Lakshmi Bai.

The childhood education came to use of

Lakshmi Bai. She took over the power and

command of army. Those days there were

no differences between Hindus and

Muslims. There were gunners like Gaus

Khan and Khuda Bakhsh in the force of

Queen who served her with heart and soul.

Britishers entrusted the task of again taking

possession of Jhansi Fort to the army chief

Huerose. British force was very powerful

and large in comparison to the Jhansi. Their

arms and weapons were also very good.

Inspite of that Bundel soldiers of Queen

give them a tough fight. Huerose was

forced to withdraw and faced heavy loss.

But the position of Queen was not sound

boldly. Rani Lakshmi Bai was a brave war-

rior of unique of unique courage and spir-

it.”

After that Rani Lakshmi Bai had to face

such hardships and adversities that she got

no chance to prepare herself for them.

Inspite of being the wife of Peshwas, she

was not the member of royal family. By

marrying a king of old age, she had indeed

become a queen but the power was in the

hands of king and queen was nothing more

than a respectable servant. But after the

death of Ganga Dhar Rao, the royal power

came into her hands as she became Raj

Mata. Money and respect were also associ-

ated with this power.

There were so many hardships. First, her

son died, then died her husband. Then

adopted son Damodar Rao’s succession

was disapproved by British Govt.

Maharajyapal Dalhousie had started this

malpractice. According to this practice if

any king or jagirdar dies childless, the suc-

cession right of his property or estate will

not be transferred to the adopted child and

that state or jagir will be merged in British

empire. As a consolation nominal pension

will be given. In this manner, company has

seized many stated and jagirs as a result of

which there was widespread resentment.

Ultimately the country wide revolt of 1857

took place.

When this dispute with British was going

on, a relative of Gangadhar Rao, Sadashiv

Narain Rao declared himself the king of

Jhansi. Rani Lakshmi Bai immediately took

action and invaded the fort of Sadashiv Rao

and captured him. It brought lots of respect

and reputation to Rani.

and firm. The enemy force had surrounded

the fort. Britishers had the facility to

arrange new army and war material where-

as Queen surrounded in the fort had no such

facility.

Huerose again attacked fort with army and

guns. The war continued for the whole day

and Britishers had the upper hand. On see-

ing the weak position of the fort, Queen

went out of the fort through a secret gate

with her soldiers who were on horses. She

was in the male dress. Her adopted child

Damodar Rao was tied to her back.

Britishers had reached Gwalior and took

over the Gwalior Fort very easily. All the

patriots were very angry against British

those days. Queen got money and military

support in Gwalior. She found she can face

British Army quite well here.

After victory over Jhansi, the courage of British

army chief Huerose had increased. He chased the

Queen and reached Gwalior. Here also he sur-

rounded the fort through his large army.

Fierce battle went on for two days. The

Queen was surrounded in the fort and her

military ration and arms and amunitions

had also remained less. Whereas British

force continuously received food stock.

Finding the situation against her, Queen

once again tried to break the circle of

British army. She also managed to come out

of it with some of her soldiers. But British

soldiers chased them. Queen was on the

horse. There was a nullah (nala) in the way.

Horse was reluctant to cross the nala. It

refused to go forward. When Queen applied

the spur it opposed and tried to threw down

the Queen by lifting its front leg. Till that

time Britishers had reached there. At there

on the day of 18 June, 1857, Queen fought

with the British army with her few soldiers.

Suddenly British soldiers coming from

behind, on horses fired bullets at Queen. A

bullet hit her. She fell down from the horse

and died a heroic death. Being a woman,

her performance of bravery and valiance

was unmatched and proudsome. Her fellow

soldiers took her to a hut and quickly

arranged weed and straw and wood and

performed her cremation. They did not

want to let the Britishers touch the body of

their Queen. When the British army

reached there, there were only ash and

bones.

That was the day of 1857. Rani Lakshmi

Bai did not get victory in the war but inspite

of being a lady the manner in which she

fought the battle bravely, is unmatched not

only the Indian history but also in world

history.

Maharani Lakshmi Bai really was

‘Ranchandi.’ Listening the sound of her

sword the British soldiers used to run away

from the battle ground. She was a woman

but used to possess the dreadful roop of

Bhairavi in the battle field and used to kill

her enemies. She did not give up even after

getting hit by bullet. Undoubtedly she was

the pride of women. Not only Indian but all

the women of the world are proud of her.

Lakshmi Bai was a brave lady. She was

expert in war activities. No such other

woman has been seen in this world. Some

people compare her to the brave girl of

France ‘John of Arc’ but Lakshmi Bai had

more capability of war and administration

than the ‘Arch’.

Rani Lakshmi Bai had to fight with

Britishers in adverse circumstances. Hence,

even her enemies praise her.”

“Chath Parva isan occasion ofcelebrating chhatimaiya and offer-ing of libation tothe uttrayan sun.”

“Chath is notonly relatedto our faith, itis also relatedto our health. It has beenproved scien-tifically.”

Chath Parva is a big festival of north east state. It is a scientific and salubrious occasion ofIndian tradition. Our ancestors had made many unique experiments for enrichment of our health

by mixing science and religion together. Chath Parva is also a beautiful combination of religion and science.Chath Parva is celebrated on the sixth day of Kartik Shukla Paksha. Usually its preparation start after diwali.During the Chath Parva cleanliness of body, mind, house, kitchen, utensils, streets, cities, mohallas-towns,pathways, tanks-pools, haat-ghat, canals and rivers is done. Our ancestors have associated the importance ofcleanliness with Chath parva in such a manner that a little bit of negligence in cleaning will result in curse ofchath maiya. Coordination of natural, materialistic, moral, physical, mental, self and spiritual health has beenmade in chath parva in a unique way. The scientificness of Chath is self-evident and unchallenged.

sequently the sun rays, sun heat and sun

light fall oblique and for short duration on

earth. Unique power is involved in sun

rays. It is the life of creatures and vegeta-

tion. when sun rays fall on the body, the

sun rays make reaction with agestiraul

which is right under skin, it means ultra-

violet sun rays make reaction with 7

dehydrocholestrol in the presence of cal-

cium and phosphorus and make urgo-

calferal (vitamin D2) and colecalciferal

(vitamin D3).

Clecalciferal mens vitamin D3 is not only

a vitamin but is a life saving miraculous

steroid harmone which provides protec-

tion against every type of diseases. Based

on the scientific researches made in dif-

ferent countries, it has been found that

lack of sun-bathing causes 100 types of

fatal diseases. Diabetes, knee pain, neck

pain, shoulder pain, back pain and bone

pain, osteoporosis, osteo-arthritis, colan

rectal cancer, prostate cancer, ovary can-

cer, uterus cancer, breast cancer, multiple

skelerosis, rickets, calcium deficiency and

harmonal imbalance are few of them.

Vitamin D-3 intake stops the growth of

cancer cells. Sun bath gives 40% benefit

in prostate and colan rectal, ovary and

breast cancer.

According to a recent survey: Breast

cancer cells have vitamin D receptors.

These receptors attract vitamin D as mag-

net. These receptor absorbs vitamin D in

adequate quantity and get activated by

absorbing them. A unique chain reaction

of atoms starts. which reduces the growth

of cancereous cells. Sometimes this chain

reaction destroys the cancereous cell.

According to the journal of neurology,

neurosurgery and psychiatry vitamin D

obtained from sun bath sharpens intellec-

tual capability, memory power, mental

alertness, intellect and the capability of

dhriti .It cures depression, complex, frus-

tration. In Chath Parva water is offered to

rising and setting sun. Fall of water on

continuous and uniform level from the

container while offering water make a jal-

sikar punj which filter the harmful ultra-

violet rays (U.A.V.) of sun. Useful and

beneficial rays fall upon body which

make us disease free by bio-chemical

process and improves our health. One

hour time before sunset and two hours

From the view point of nature: Water of

river, pool, lake, pond is the basis of life.

For this very reason rivers in our country

have been given the status of mother.

Waves of ponds, tanks, lakes and rivers

are the symbol of life. Farmer irrigates his

farms by the life giving water sources and

produce food grain for the nation. The

best part of the worship of five elements

of nature, i.e. earth, water, fire, sky and air

is hidden in this Chath parva. Today we

have polluted these five elements. The

existence of life can be saved only

through their cleanliness. Melting of gla-

ciers, all types of natural calamities and

disasters are the result of our ill treatment

towards nature. Pollution is the result of

this ill behaviour.

From the social view point: Chath parva

eliminates the difference of small-big,

high and low, caste and community.

Everyone becomes equal socially. Chath

is the unique parva of antyodaya,

Sarvodaya and social good will.

From moral view point: During the

Chath parva, the emotions of cooperation

and companionship develops which

evokes divine moral qualities in us.

Compassion, non violence and capability

develop in us. Propagation and expansion

of Asceticism, sacrifice, truth, love takes

place.

From spiritual point of view: Scientific

fasts done on Kharna and Chath day are a

sign of unique penance fire of penance

destroys all the invisible enemies, jeal-

ousy, prejudice, disappointment, sorrow,

fear, complex, violence etc. Rising sun is

the symbol of life where as setting sun is

the symbol of death. Birth and death are

supplementary to each other. The destruc-

tion of old is the arrival of new. Chath

parva gives us this message-get up,

awake, go and recognise yourself.

From the point of physical health.

During the Chath Parva physical, environ-

mental, social and ambient cleanliness is

important from the point of health care,

and health promotion. The main point of

Chath parva is to offer libation to the sun

rising and setting in the water. It has spe-

cial importance.

Chath Parva is the treasure of health,

energy and power. Chath parva is the sci-

entific Mahanushthan of 'Surya Snan'

ter. Sun travels over tropic of Cancer. con-

and on the seventh day after offering water

to sun at sunrise, take one glass juice of

orange, maushmi, Chakotra or Galgal

Chakotra of red-yellow pulp, contained in

prasad. If possible stick to the juice that

day. On second day drink water in the

morning empty stomach and take juice

after sunrise. Take one roti and boiled veg-

etable in the midday meal, take one roti

and subzi in the evening. On third day,

take two roties and subzi in meal. Take

fruit and milk in morning in breakfast and

have vegetable juice in the noon. It will

make the Chat Parva a scientific festival

of freedom from diseases and a festival of

complete age (Purnaya). It will not only

make us diseases free but our life will

belong and we will be 'Ayushmaan.' festi-

val of faith, devotion, trust, goodwill and

purity, i.e. the festival of Chath will be the

festival of freedom from diseases and fes-

tival of joy and happiness in the real sense.

According to the researches made by the

scientists of N.I.A. (National Institute of

Ageing), celebrating any such festival by

keeping fast can control blood sugar,

cholestrol, B.M.R, paraoxidation, free

oxygen radical, hydroxil radical, hydrogen

paraoxide, super oxide, cross linking

process, it means that it destroys and con-

trols such chemical processes and poison-

ous cells which are the cause of ageing

(oldage) and disease. During the period of

fast cancer generating cells prohiyoblastic

get destroyed and controlled. All parts of

the digestive system such as stomach,

abdomen, spleen, all rest. Their work effi-

ciency increase. During the period of Chat

fast, physical, neurological, mental, spiri-

tual rest is made. Auto heeling, auto mon-

itoring and immune system gets activated.

Fast has specail importance in Chath. 'Up'

means near and 'Vas' means to reside,

means a scientific upvas (fast) in Chath

gives us an auspicious opportunity to live

in the company of loving goddess of brav-

ery, power and courage, 'Mother Chathi

Preservation of rareand available medici-nal herbs is necessary.Acharya Balkrishna.

Haridwar. There is enormous stock of rare and general medicinal herbs in

Himalaya and surrounding areas. But all the medicinal plants are becom-

ing vanished. In order to preserve them and making them available to the

common man, a team of experts of medicinal herbs of Patanjali Yogpeeth

made a search of medicinal herbs in Teliwala (Haridwar) and surrounding

jungles in the guidance of Ayurved Manishi Acharya Balkrishna Ji

Maharaj. Many such medicinal herbs have been found which will work as

miracle in many curable and uncurable diseases. Thousands of vegetations

have vanished due to the cutting of forests and planting artificial planta-

tions in place of them. He said that many invaluable medicinal herbs have

also extincted. It is necessary to preserve and promote rare and available

life giving medicines which are found in India including Himalaya. He

mentioned that as a result of attack on environment the number of forests

are decreasing. Alongwith there decreasing forests we are also loosing our

invalueable vegetation. If medicinal herbs are saved, life will be saved.

Life of a former and creatures depends upon forest. The medicinal Herbs

experts of Patanjali yogpeeth have found many medicinal plants, out of

them the main plant is Ashepushpi or Andhahuli (beneficial in sandhivat,

Aruchi, grahani, pravahika). Which was earlier found in less quantity in

this region and now a days it is found in plenty. Sarpunkha or Shwet pushp

(benficial in the swelling of wind pipe and vrikka vikar), neelambari (ben-

eficial in fever, urinay disorders), Chipti (beneficial in stomach disorders

and wounds), Dronpushpi which cures fever and all types of allergy.

Acharya Balkrishan said that in most of the medicinal plants obtained from

the jungles of Teliwala area contain such quality or property which proves

beneficial in ‘vranropan’ and swelling.

Honey is nector, not poison–Acharya Blakrishna

Hardwar, Honey is used as fooding and medicinal prupose in

the entire world including India for the countries. The medici-

nal values of honey is described in almost all the ayurvedic

holy books. It is already scientifically known to all that the

honey contains around sixty five varieties of chemical compo-

nents including various antibiotics.

Acharya Balkrishnaji cleared about CSE report that we have

always advoocated the scientific examinations, but the spread-

ing the atmoshphere of fear is not logical on the name of soci-

ety. Acharyaji told that steriod are naturally found in the vari-

ous herbals like guggul, termeric and aswagandha. For exam-

ple, in guggul, guggusterol and guggusteron, uginol in Tulsi,

bethanololieds in aswagandha are same elements which are

used in various Ayurvedic medicines. In such a situation the

contradicatory and confusing advertisements that Ayurvedic

medicines contain chemicals is not ration, because all the

above are found in these medicines naturally.

As far as honey is concerned it is very clear that no manufac-

turer uses antibiotic in honey. These longivity of bees but, this

logic is self-contradictory. For instance, of it is true then from

where antibiotic comes in the forest honey.

Secondly he explained that in Govt. F.P.O or Ayurvedic drug

licences (G.M.P) etc. no standard is fixed regarding antibiotic.

They have standards for microbacteria (bacteria virus) and

heavy metal. We follow all those standards. We can assure that

in case of antibiotic the complete research process will be

adopted. As far as the honey is concerned, it is nector so keep

it on using this fearlessly.

Patanjali Yogpeethdistibuted the Relief Materialin flood affected Areas.Hardwar, Patanjali Yogpeeth has always been a leading institute in the field

of charity irrespective of the case of man made calamity or a divine one.

Through its Divya Yog Mandir Trust it has been helping out the needy and

affected people. Recently in Laxur (Hardwar) and the surrounding areas the

people have been badly affected due to over rain and took the shelter in safe

places. It is but natural that they might need some basic ammenities like

fooding, clothing and housing in the safe places. The roaring rivers and

thundering clouds have compelled the public to migrate to some other

places. In such a hard time of calamity the “Patanjali Yog Peeth” Bharat

Swabhiman Trust under the direction of respected Swami Ram Dev Ji and

Acharya Balkrishnaji Maharaj helped its level best at war level.

Acharya Balkrishna has said that ‘Patanjali Yogpeeth is always sympathet-

ic with the affected people. So, they need not to worry about anything. The

dozens of volunteers of Patanjali Yogpeeth and Bharat Swabhiman Trust

visited the flood affected areas by boats. The packets of foods, clothes and

blankets were also distributed to the affected people by the trust.

Dozen of volunteers visited Luxur and so many surrounded villages. The

workers of Patanjali Yogpeeth have distributed thousands of packets of

foods, ration and the things required in everday life. Also in the past Divya

Yog Mandir Trust had had helped out at the time of every natural calami-

ty at war level irrespective of tsunami or the Kosi flood in Bihar. In the

flood affected areas hundreds of volunteers of Bharat Swabhiman Trust

and Patanjali Yogpeeth distributed the things of basic necessity under

supervision and direction of Dr. Yash Dev Shastri, Rajendra Tyagi,

He wanted to know about the differentactivities conducted by the institution. He had come to PatanjaliYog peeth to discuss the benefits of these activities for maximumpeople with Acharya Balkrishan.

While discussing the services being done by the institution withAcharya Ji, Hon. Governor also discussed the issue of making acomprehensive action plan for ayurveda and yoga activities inMizoram by Patanjali Yog Peeth. He also said that the call ofnational awakening (Bharat Swabhiman) made by Swami RamDev in the interest of the nation is need of the hour. It is necessaryfor the interest of the nation because nation is going throughadverse conditions. Man is forgetting his nationalism and dutytowards nation by indulging in narrow ideologies and self interests.People will again be able to understand partriotism and their dutytowards nation by the awakening call made by Swami Ji.Discussing about his past he mentioned that he started his life in asmall village of Uttrakhand in challenging circumstances, later onhe served the army and he is still serving the nation. But million ofour brothers and sisters are still living the same miserable andpathetic conditions. If we uplift their standard, country will alsomake progress.

We must think about all of them. Otherwise the fire of separatismand unrest will spread more. Bharat Swabhiman movement ofSwami Ji will definitely provide help in this regard.

Gargi, Apals, Maitreji and other great women. Whenever there

is any sacred deed there is a inclusion of positive energy, spirit

to help others and other great virtues in life positive energy is

country. Aachryajee stressed on the need of strictly following

the moral values.

times was in practice like a science that vanised gradually.

The significant of Yagna is endless Today, we can see here and

there Unsystematic Yajna methods but to reshape them on the

lines of vedic method is our pious duty and obligation. Yajna

balances the environment. Climatic change and global warning

are the cause created by human beings. There in no other way

to check global warming than Yagna.

Conservation of environment in Indian way of

life is as old as the history of human beings
