8. From 2020 to 2024 : The Nuts and Bolts of Overall

Development of Teaching Personality

1 Fulfillment of all norm of NCTE,NAAC,and UGC

This College Is Affiliated to Sant Gadgebaba Amaravati University

Amaravati .It is necessary to fullfil all norm of UGC.NCTE is Statutory

Body Of Government of India .It is mandatory for institute to fulfill all

norm as per Rules and Regulation of NCTE 2014 .Institute has to aquire

NAAC status .Other than this institute is working under the rules and

Regulation of Maharashtra Government .

2 Planed Expansion of Infrastructure:-

There is need to make expansion of Building and Infrastructure .Our

Institute is Upgraded as CTE (Centre for Teacher Education)and

Received Grant of rs 4,32,00,000 /- for building construction from

Government .We received funds from DPC Akola. For 2019-20 we

received 4900000/- from DPC Akola for classroom construction .Yet

Development of curriculum lab as per NCTE Norms is needed. We

submit proposal for 2020-21 to DPC for rs 87,00,000/- to DPC Akola.

3 Strengthening Teaching learning Process :-

Well Qualified staff is our asset. All faculty are Research guide

.Now in new time ICT took place as a essential factor. Every faculty

Page 18: GOVERNMENT COLLEGE OF EDUCATION AKOLA

VISION DOCUMENT

Government College of Education Akola Page 18

should be techno friendly .In new era there are so many teaching learning

methodologies based on computer .All administrative work is an online

process. There is need to give tanning to faculty and non teaching staff

about all these things. Our students select as per merit basis .there are so

many innovative teaching learning methods introduced. to develop

allover teaching personality of student ,It is needed to adopt new concept

of teaching and learning. There is need to accept the change. Now

Students are not passive player .Students are active participant in

education process. and the role of professor is that of a facilitator as

opposed to an instructor. It is necessary to design the curriculum which

engages students in innovative thinking and practice. So we have to

accept learner centered approach.

4 Use of ICT in Teaching Learning and Administration :-

To day classroom lecturers and pre recorded and uploaded program

accessed by students .But our teaching and learning process is not

changed. Classroom learning is now become outdated. and new teaching

learning methods interactive participative methods are introduced. But

most of Faculty members use to teach by traditional method. They use

computer for presentations. but it is need to prepare material like online

books, software ect .

Page 19: GOVERNMENT COLLEGE OF EDUCATION AKOLA

VISION DOCUMENT

Government College of Education Akola Page 19

5 Enhancement of Quality of Research :-

our college is recognize as research centre of SGBAU Amatavati.

Students took admission in the centre but they are not interested to do

original work. They prefer only those work where the support system is

available .it is required to enhance the quality of research .In education

faculty it is important to encourage the research scholar to do quality

research. Our research scholar should be recognized as educational

scientist.

6 Enrichment of Learning Outcomes :-

As our students are selected by merit through CAP round we are

very conscious about their learning outcomes . at theory level they do

better but on the practical level there are so many problems we are facing

.We should try on our best level to give all types of knowledge as per

syllabus and beyond syllabus.. New curriculum is introduced in 2014. But

till today concept of implementation is not universal . To develop their

there teaching skill through internship .We face so many problem in that.

Because there is no linkage between School Department and higher

education department for this purpose.

Page 20: GOVERNMENT COLLEGE OF EDUCATION AKOLA

VISION DOCUMENT

Government College of Education Akola Page 20

7 Human Resource Development with Teaching Skills and

Life Skills :-

Life has become so many complicated .If we want to survive

Knowledge, Skill ,and attitude are necessary factor. .life skills are necessary.

Our college is recognized as Swami Chinmayananda Studies Centre .We

organized various programmes but fund are not received from UGC since

2015. It is needed to adopt Various teaching skills .It is nasessary to

introduced various teaching skills to students. Syllabus is needed to

introduce life skills

8 Reform in Governance in institution :-

Good governance is a step toward success. It is necessary to take the

participation of all stakeholders in governance. we accept that monitoring

inputs are more effective than regulatory inputs. We have to develop the

culture of Monitoring rather than regulating. Effective governance is that

governance which monitor continuous growth of institute. Everybody

should empowered to execute the mission of institute .A transparent and

participative decision making is important it reduced administrative

burden.
