● Being part of the NM automation team, I have prepared Test Plans for new features, developed automation scripts to cover the DNA and GNM new feature and regression test cases.

● Involved in automating testcases of various OTN NMS functionalities like, cross connects, SNC, Multicast, Diversity, VCAT, Configurations using Selenium.

● Executed test suites that covers various flavors of NEs which Infinera supports and managing these NEs through various functionalities that were built in Infinera EMS, which was called as DNA. Activities include, bringing up the setup of a particular NE type as per automation standards, bringing up the EMS in the latest software image, setting up the logistics to run the test suite, run the test suite in on around 10 to 15 different setups in tandem.

● Analyzed failures from the test suite run and fix the automation scripts based on the new behavior changes and also file defects accordingly.

Description: Test-automation Tool is Test Framework for SIT/SVT automation. This tool is useful to write scenario based test case and it provides API and Utility for writing it by a developer easily. Various GSM call flow scenarios are tested here using the simulated network entities or by using QXDM tool. QXDM tool is developed to provide a rapid prototyping platform for new diagnostic clients and diagnostic protocol packets. It provides a Graphical User Interface (GUI) that displays data transmitted to and from the mobile. Jscript is used for triggering QXDM COM interface ActiveX objects.

Description: It is a Satellite based project, which involves testing of L2/L3, NMS features of satellite based broad band Routers (NetModem). The remote devices of iDirect, connect business locations with IP connectivity via satellite networks. The hub solutions provide the IP Gateway functionality. iDirect network is a satellite based TCP/IP network with a star topology in which a Time Division Multiplexed (TDM) broadcast downstream channel from a central hub location is shared by a number of remote nodes. The iDirect hub equipment consists of an iDirect Hub Chassis with Universal Line Cards, a Protocol Processor (PP), a NMS and the appropriate external VSAT equipment. iDirect Network Operation System Software (iDS) has features and controls that allow the system to be configured to provide QoS and other traffic engineered solutions to remote users. All network configuration and monitoring functions are provided via an integrated NMS.

Description: The GPON GBrick MDU is a second generation GMDU product .The FGO4.1 Gbrick MDU is an ONU that initially integrates ENET and POTS interfaces as well as an optional CATV compatible RF video output. As common to all GPON ONTs it is using G-PON technology for fiber extension from the CO. While the initial release of the GMDU was modular and served multiple living units via Ethernets (12) data lines, the second generation MDU is a GBrick and shall service multiple living units via Ethernet data lines.

Contribution ● Execution of Test Cases (involved in voip traffic testing, ONT-SLID testing, SRV-MLT testing

6> ADM and TM Testing

Company : Orion Tele Equipments pvt. Ltd. Duration : 6 months. Designation : System Validation Engineer. Nature of Job : Hardware Testing (Add Drop Multiplexer<ADM>, Terminal Multiplexer<TM>) It includes checking the optical and electrical parameters (BER, Jitter, Return loss, Receiver sensitivity, Dynamic range Laser safety, Alarm indication, Order wire, Etc...) of ADM and TM using equipments such as ANT (Advanced Network Tester), EST (E1 ServiceTester), Power Meters, CRT (Cathode Ray Tubes), Etc. The main theme of these testings is to insert some noise/losses/disturbances at different frequencies or rates and monitoring the output of these devices at these conditions. These systems are mainly used in telephone exchanges of different companies where multiplexing and demultiplexing is the basic necessity. These devices are tuned or designed to fulfill the international standards (ITU-T Standards) for rate of transfer of data.
