Project : Tracer (Investment Banking Project)

This Tracer project also known as Trade capture system. Tracer interacts with many upstream and downstream systems.Tracer is the application responsible for trade file processing towards downstream system. Those files typically contain many trades that need to be grabbed and sent to Tracer via main upstream application Fennel. Tracer also receives trades from other application like Stars from client end directly but on low volume.Fennel receives trades directly via FTP, Global prime, Gems, AOMS etc. system. Fennel polls FTP sites, retrieves and saves into its Taps database and run various validation rule on the file like dupe, empty, weekend date, email trade file etc. and sends trade to Tracer for trade processing to begin.Tracer start run validation and reconciliation process on each and every trade received from Fennel via interacting with many application like Static database known Epics, Pricing system (Mercury), Gedm (security codes reconcile system). After that tracer vest all trade and send acknowledgment to downstream system like Swap calculation and hedge settlement system.Swap and Hedge Settlement system reconcile EOD for each client trading and in T+0/1/2 report generated and sends to client. Client based on previous day report continuous with their trading in all over the world.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Developing new model flow within application to change the business flow. Enhancing Tracer application with new business requirement to run the bank. Building individual client setup on Tracer and Fennel platform to run Trading activities. Scripting through Notepad++ and putty tool to trigger Java application. Project : Tracer On-boarding Automation (Investment Banking Project)

This project related to Fennel i.e. Trade file manager which receives trade files directly via FTP. Fennel polls FTP sites, retrieves and saves into its Taps database and run various validation rule on the file and sends trade to Tracer for trade processing to begin.

Clients have different macros as per their system through which trade file generate and send it to Fennel. Fennel is designed to convert all client specific trade file format into Tracer understandable common data format.

Fennel automated to provide GUI to business users to change values like broker, commission, exchange, Price type etc. fields before trades feed to Tracer. This system helped business to avoid less trade spill in Tracer.

Involved in re-engineering and automation of this application to remove daily tickets counts and manual work by trading desk.

Involved in coding on Java, Bash Scripting, Stored procedure (Sybase). Was in continuous effort with business and team to present the POC of automation.
