Academic Project Project Title: “Efficient Sensor Node Authentication in Wireless Integrated Sensor Networks Using Virtual Certificate Authority”. Duration: 3 months Objective: To implement security during the transmission of data from one node to another node, different security techniques are used. Authentication is an essential requirement in sensor network

pursuing security. But the Wireless Sensor Networks are very difficult to secure due to its dynamic and ad-hoc nature. Our objective is to make more efficient and secure authentication protocol between sensor nodes which is by using VCA. There is a need for security solutions that have not been addressed. The authentication protocol proposed in this project which is Virtual Certificate

Authority (VCA) can help to address this problem by providing initial trust between network nodes.

Description: VCA (Virtual Certificate Authority) is used to provide initial trust between nodes. Implement security during the transmission of data from one node to another node, different security techniques are used. Authentication is an essential requirement in sensor network pursuing security. Here each Nodes will be having Certificate at the time when user first login given by VCA which is stored in database at sender side and on receiver side if successfully Node Authentication done by verifying signature and the certificate then the message is successfully forward from source to destination. Otherwise message will not transmit from source to destination. Roles and Responsibilities: Helped in coding modules and also helping each other with other modules as well.
