Biological Treatment of ETP & STP’s

Wastewater treatment is important to remove constituents or contaminants that could harm people or the environment.

Treatment processes that remove wastewater contaminants while making your plant more efficient includes :

What is bioCLEAN ??? A Bio-augmentation Agent

Micronz- BioClean is the most advanced microbial product to bring about a revolution in wastewater treatment. The technology balances the microbial activity there by increases the efficiency of treating water at the least possible cost. As a result, the Industry is able to get clean water, which can even be recycled for non-potable uses, reduction in foul odour at minimal cost.

Fermented end product with a consortium of selective micro-organisms such as Lactobacillus, Actinomycetes, yeast , Photosynthetic bacteria & other naturally occurring microbes etc.

All microbes are facultative exhibits both aerobic and anaerobic characteristics.

They work in a wide range of temperatures, salinity and pH values.

The microorganisms are not Genetically engineered or exotic.

Microorganisms present in bioCLEAN removes biodegradable organic material from the wastewater by converting it into a new cell mass through growth and reproduction.

Micronz- BioClean should be directly used as per our tried & tested method as follows: ETP : 1:2000 Liters (1 liter bioCLEAN : 2000 liters waste water) For Example : Dose 5 liters into the aeration tank for 10 KL capacity ETP plant. •The microorganisms need oxygen to do their work, so air is forced into the reactor. •This process is called aeration, and this is why the reactor is also called an aeration basin.

• Time needs to be given in between for creation of ‘bio-films’ to be made so that dosage could be reduced later. Thus, dosages are of two types – ‘Booster dose’ and ‘Maintenance dose’.

• While small dosage will not offer significant results, overdosing can increase the BOD/ COD itself !!

• The dosage quantities are indicative. You may need to alter the same depending upon the outcome.

•Booster dose on daily basis up to 7 days to start with, after the establishment of microbes (formation of bio-film) dosing should be reduced to twice in a week upto 4 weeks. Booster dose should be followed by maintenance dose accordingly.

Calculation of Maintenance dosage is done as per the following chart:

ESTIMATING DOSAGE OF bioCLEAN :

AVERAGE REDUCTION % IN

BOD/ COD/ TSS

MAINTENANCE DOSAGE

RECOMMENDED

5-10% Every alternate day

11-30% Every 3rd day

31 and above Once a week

Page 11: Bioclean Sop -Etp.pdf

MULTIPLE BENEFITS DEILIVERED : Helps meet PCB norms more stringently. Helps to reduce the BOD, COD , TSS & Coliform count. Reduces running cost – lesser aeration requirements, chemical dosage and sludge removal cost. Water can be recycled without fear of any pollution. Suppression of foul odour & vectors. Automatically controls pH if effluent ‘within range’. Improves response to shock loads. About 10-30% of influent phosphorus is used by microorganisms during the breakdown of organic material. Some nitrogen is taken up as a nutrient by microbes during the breakdown of organic material, but large amounts can only be removed by two processes called nitrification and denitrification.

NOTE * To ensure that the plant is functioning as expected, it is also recommended that monthly lab reports to be sent to us for proper consultation of dosing.

Thank you and hoping that you are able to address wastewater issues that lead to sustainable

development and natural resource conservation.
